Fulfilling the law by Carol Wolman

Matthew 5:  17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Exodus 20: 13 Thou shalt not kill.  Bush has killed 100,000 Iraqis and 1650 odd American soldiers with his unjust, unnecessary, illegal invasion of Iraq.

Exodus 20: 15 Thou shalt not steal.  Bush has stolen the entire national treasury of the US, going from a huge surplus to a huge deficit.  Now he is starting to rob the public sector of public services for which we the people pay our taxes.  Much of this money has gone directly into the pockets of his family's corporation, The Carlyle Group, and into Halliburton, Dick Cheney's corporation.

Exodus 20: 16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.   Bush bore false witness against Saddam, claiming that Saddam had WMD's but knowing full well he did not, if we understand the Downing Street document correctly.

Exodus 20: 7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Bush has done this repeatedly, claiming that God told him to invade Iraq.  Looking at the fruits- that nation in shambles, this nation financially and morally bankrupt- it's clear that it was not God talking to Bush,-  his own ego, his Oedipus complex, his greedy advisors, perhaps, but not God.

Our Constitution says that a president and/or vice president who commits high crimes and misdemeanors may be impeached (arraigned) by the House and tried before the Senate.  If convicted, he is removed from office.

The Downing Street document strongly implies that Bush knowingly lied to Congress, the American people and the UN in order to gain backing for an illegal invasion of another country that posed no threat.   This is a high crime.

Fulfillment of the law demands impeachment.  Sign the Conyers letter which lays the groundwork at www.johnconyers.com.
