Congress Knows Virtually Nothing About Codex!

Summer is just about
over. After one last weekend of frolic and fun, it's back to the routine of
school, work and schedule. And that's true for
Congress, too. It's back to the same old, same old of special interest
groups, lobbyists and, for those who indulge, corruption and influence
peddling in seedy, greedy
This Year, Health Freedom
is the New Special Interest Group!
You and I, Americans
who believe that our health belongs to us, not to the illness industry, are
about to tell Congress what they need to hear, starting with Codex. Believe
it or not, virtually no one in Congress has any idea what Codex is. We are
about to change that.
There will be a Congressional Briefing on Codex Alimentarius on September
20, 2005 in Room 2220 Rayburn.
We can thank
Congressman Ron Paul and his Senior Aide Norman Singleton for taking a
leadership role in arranging this briefing. And I will be there to tell
Congressmen and women the same shocking, outrageous facts about Codex that
you can find on
our website. There will be two other physicians (Dr. Julian Whitaker and
Dr. Charles Simone) and two attorneys (Jim Turner of Citizens for Health and
Jonathan Emord) to tell the members of Congress and their staffers what
Codex is, how they and their families will suffer if the US is not kept
Codex-free and what they need to do to protect us all. That is, if there if
anyone shows up.
It's Up to Us to Get
Congress to Our Codex Briefing
Here's how it works:
there are lots and lots and lots of briefings on Capitol Hill. And every
briefing is important enough to someone to go to the trouble of setting it
up. Staffers and Congress people are overworked so they pay attention to
what is right in front of them without much time or attention to spare for
anything else.
So the only way to get our message to Congress is to get Congress to the
briefing.
The way to make sure
that we have the full house we need to make the impact we need to make is
for all of us to take a few simple steps and then pass this email along to
your circle of influence and urge them to take these steps, too. 4 Simple Steps to Urge Congress to Attend Codex Briefing
Step 1:
Email Congress:
Cut and paste a letter that says something like: "I am writing to you at
the suggestion of the Natural Solutions Foundation to urge you to attend the
Congressional Briefing on Codex Alimentarius on Tuesday, September 20, 2005,
room 2220 Rayburn. Codex Alimentarius, a UN Trade Commission, is a serious
threat to the health and health freedom of this country. Although it is
billed as "Consumer Protection" nothing could be further from the truth. In
fact, Codex is poised to degrade both the food supply and the health of all
Americans if we allow our protective legislation to be overridden in favor
of corporate profits at the expense of excess deaths and needless suffering. These subjects are
vitally important to me and I look to you to protect my health and health
freedom from the damage they will sustain through harmonization with the
pro-illness standards and guidelines of Codex Alimentarius."

Step 2: Call Congress: The
Congressional Switchboard will transfer you to the offices of your
Congressional Members. The number is 202-224-3121. Just call and tell your
member's Congressional offices that you urge them to attend the
Congressional Briefing on Codex Alimentarius on Tuesday, September 20, 2005,
room 2220 Rayburn.
Step 3: Visit your Congressmen and Women in their local offices:
Take a group of friends and tell your Congressmen and women that you want
them to go to the Congressional Briefing on Codex Alimentarius on Tuesday,
September 20, 2005, room 2220 Rayburn. Tell them you also expect them to
protect DSHEA and other protective legislation for our health and our health
freedom. Tell them how you expect them to vote: take a copy of the Natural
Solutions Foundation's
legislative action page.
