how much different is this than high doses of Amylase and Sucrase (enzymes that break down sugar and carbs) ??
$50 per bottle per month feels like robbery
The patent pending enzyme in the SugR 2 FibR enzyme blend has a totally different function than amylase and sucrase.
Amylase is an enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates, specifically starch and glycogen, into smaller molecules such as maltose, maltotriose, and glucose.
Sucrase is an enzyme that plays a role in the digestion of carbohydrates. Specifically, sucrase is responsible for breaking down sucrose, a disaccharide composed of glucose and fructose, into its two individual monosaccharides.
Sucrase is produced and secreted by cells in the small intestine, where it is released into the intestinal track to break down sucrose into glucose and fructose.
There is amylase in the SugR to FibR product, but it also has the new patent pending enzyme that converts sugar (sucrose) into fiber vs. using enzyme sucrase that converts sucrose into glucose and fructose. As with any new development that is proprietary, it took several years and lots of money to bring this new enzyme to the market and it is thus more pricey than other enzymes people might be used to.
As a comparison to show how a new drug on the market is priced to cover all R & D for years, there is a new drug that is intended for diabetics to control glucose levels. It has become a ‘go to’ drug of choice for a lot of women (non diabetics) for weight loss. The cost for a month’s supply of this drug “Ozempic’ is between $800-$1000 per month. The drug basically creates a similar end result of taking SugR 2 FibR but has a long list of potential side effects from vomiting to death; whereas there are zero side effects of taking plant based enzymes other than improved digestion, health, energy, and, in the case of SugR 2 FibR, reduced calories from sugar/carbohydrates, increased fiber in the gut to function as pre biotic for good gut health.
