Israel agreed to withdraw troops from Gaza – Blinken

The US secretary of state has said that Washington would not accept a long-term occupation of the Palestinian enclave

Israel has agreed to withdraw its troops from parts of Gaza as part of ongoing attempts to reach a ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian group Hamas, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday, following the latest round of negotiations in Qatar.

Speaking to reporters in Doha, Blinken was asked to comment on earlier reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had convinced Washington to allow Israel to keep its forces in the Philadelphi Corridor between Egypt and Gaza.

Germans lying about Nord Stream exchange – Moscow

Berlin has not provided Moscow with any actual information about the attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines in 2022, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said

The pipelines which ran under the Baltic Sea were used to transport Russian natural gas to Germany and other parts of Western Europe. They were damaged in September 2022 by a series of explosions near the Danish island of Bornholm.

Russia has accused the US of orchestrating the attack, while some media in the West have blamed a “pro-Ukrainian group.”

Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Germany of refusing to officially share information about the investigation, suggesting that leaking it to the media instead raises “suspicions that all of this is staged” to deflect blame from the actual culprits.

Ministers pledge to return more illegal migrants

Home Office ministers have promised a “large surge” in returns flights for failed asylum seekers and others with no right to be in the UK.

Plans include 100 more new intelligence officers to target people smuggling gangs and reopening immigration removal centres in Hampshire and Oxfordshire, adding 290 beds.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said she wanted to introduce a “better-controlled” system to replace “the chaos that has blighted the system for far too long”.

The Conservatives said Labour were “not serious about tackling the people smugglers or stopping the boats”.

Moscow warns EU state over immigration ‘lawlessness’

Moscow has condemned as “lawlessness” the recent toughening of residency-permit application procedures for Russian citizens in Latvia, and has warned of a tough response. The new rules violate international legal norms, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

Riga adopted immigration amendments in June extending a language test requirement to Russian citizens who had previously been exempt from it. Russians applying for residency in the Baltic country are also reportedly obliged to disclose their views on the Ukraine conflict.

“The discriminatory requirements of Latvia’s migration laws are openly Russophobic in nature. They flagrantly violate fundamental international legal norms,” Zakharova said on her Telegram channel on Thursday.

US accounts for half of India’s defense exports – report

The South Asian country recorded $2.63bn in international military sales during the last financial year

India sends half of its arms exports to the US, The Print reported on Wednesday, citing sources. American companies source over a billion dollars’ worth of systems, subsystems and parts from India annually for their global supply chains, the article noted.

Boeing, which has massive interests in India, is responsible for a large chunk of these purchases, according to the report. The aerospace manufacturer’s India division is set to open its largest facility in the tech hub Bengaluru, having invested some $190 million into the development.  In 2016, it set up Tata Boeing Aerospace Ltd (TBAL) jointly with Tata Group in southern India’s Telangana state.

Lockheed Martin, which has two joint ventures with Tata in Hyderabad, is another major US defense company which is vested in India’s military export market, according to The Print.

Bengaluru-based Indo-MIM, a manufacturer of metal injection molding (MIM) parts, is reportedly the largest private exporter in the South Asian country’s defense sector. In addition to the US, Israel, Myanmar, and Armenia have been stocking up heavily on Indian defense supplies.

Biden’s aides ‘hid his decline’

The Washington Post has conceded that claims about the US president’s health were right all along

US President Joe Biden should not have sought reelection to begin with, but his staff are to blame for concealing his infirmity until they could no longer do so, the Washington Post editorial board has said.

The Post made the statement in an editorial on Tuesday, which praised Biden’s “profoundly selfless decision” to drop out of the race and let the Democrats replace him with Kamala Harris.

“In retrospect, Mr Biden should not have sought reelection. The June 27 debate was worse than just a bad night, as the president maintained afterward. The 81-year-old had shown signs of slipping for a long time, but his inner circle worked to conceal his decline,” the Post editors wrote.

The US would have been better off, they argued, had he bowed out after the “surprisingly good showing” of the Democrats in the 2022 midterms. Had he stayed in the race, they continued, “a diminished Mr Biden, at the head of a dispirited party, would likely have lost in November.”

‘Absolute corruption’: Congresswoman hammers Biden-Harris for shifting border-crisis blame to Trump

‘The person who is lying about the reality on the southern border, is very clearly President Biden, and the American people see this’

In an Exclusive Interview, Dana Perino, the renowned former White House Press Secretary, political commentator, and businesswoman, announced that she would be leaving ‘The Five’ due to recent tensions with Sean Hannity, caused by her latest business venture.

Last week, during a heated episode, the popular conservative host, Dana Perino, made headlines by unveiling her new CBD line live on ‘The Five’. Sean Hannity was outraged and expressed his intention to sue Dana Perino and the Network for violating his contract and allegedly driving away sponsors. Dana Perino responded with the following statement:

“I understand that Sean is simply targeting my timeslot. I refuse to succumb to ‘Cancel Culture.’ When I embarked on this journey back in 2022, it was initially a part-time passion project and my way of giving back. Having received so much, I believed there was no better time to make Green Street Origins CBD Gummies accessible to everyone, as it has the potential to help thousands of individuals live pain-free and happier lives.”

Dana Perino’s product, Green Street Origins CBD Gummies, has been selling like hotcakes, with stocks depleting within minutes. She admits that her main challenge as CEO is meeting the overwhelming demand. Her CBD wellness line is not only 90% cheaper but also five times more effective than similar offerings from Bayer and other “Big Pharma” companies.

Sean Hannity was infuriated upon learning that multiple sponsors were suing the News Network. Sean is now calling for Dana Perino’s indictment, stating, “While I am pleased that Dana Perino found an alternative to prescription medications, her announcement directly violated our contract. The News Network should terminate her immediately, and she owes us a formal apology.”

Journalist Richie Medhurst Arrested at Heathrow Airport Under ‘Terrorism Act’

The British journalist revealed on X his treatment by the authorities after being arrested under Section 12 of the U.K.’s Terrorism Act.

The arrest on Aug. 15, came eight days after the F.B.I. raided the home of journalist and CN columnist Scott Ritter in the United States.

Section 12 of the British Terrorism Act criminalizes holding certain opinions or beliefs. It reads:

“12 Support.

(1) A person commits an offence if—

(a) he invites support for a proscribed organisation, and

(b) the support is not, or is not restricted to, the provision of money or other property (within the meaning of section 15).

[F1(1A) A person commits an offence if the person—

(a) expresses an opinion or belief that is supportive of a proscribed organisation, and

(b ) in doing so is reckless as to whether a person to whom the expression is directed will be encouraged to support a proscribed organisation.]”

Kamala Harris to Accept Nomination Without Giving a Press Conference or Providing Many Policy Details

Vice President Kamala Harris will accept the Democrats’ nomination on Thursday without sitting for one interview, giving one press conference, or providing many policy details since joining the race 32 days ago — July 21, 2024.

The strategy is notable for three reasons. First, it is a rinse and repeat of President Joe Biden’s 2020 “basement” strategy to avoid public scrutiny, which counters the multitude of exchanges the media typically conduct when presidential candidates enter races.

Second, the strategy underscores the Democrats’ perceived worry about their candidate’s likability and ability to speak off the cuff about policies without delivering a devastating gaffe. More is here on Harris’s word salads.

Third, it spotlights the Harris campaign’s “catch-22.” Speaking about policies to fix crime, inflation, and border security would undermine the Biden-Harris administration’s claim of having solved those key issues. However, Harris must tout the administration’s policy successes to validate her record and candidacy.

The media have not interviewed Harris on television since June 24, 2024, and the last time the press reportedly questioned her at a solo news conference was eight months ago — December 2, 2023. For 32 days since joining the race, Harris has not given an unscripted press conference or sit-down interview. “She has committed to one interview by Aug. 31,” Axios reported Tuesday.

Despite the media’s lack of access, their coverage of Harris has been more positive (84 percent) than their coverage of any other major party nominee, a Media Research Center study found. Coverage of former President Donald Trump has been almost entirely negative (89 percent). In turn, 70 percent of registered Democrats and independents who voted for Biden in 2020 are mostly in the dark about many of Harris’s controversial and radical positions, a recent poll shows.

Kamala Harris Doesn’t Have a Policy Page, So Trump Created One For Her

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign has launched a website describing Vice President Kamala Harris’s policies — since her own presidential campaign has yet to include any on her own campaign site.

More than four weeks after she joined the presidential race, following the withdrawal of President Joe Biden, the Democratic Party nominee has yet to list any policies on her site, though she has announced a few economic policies.

Tired of waiting, the Trump campaign created kamala2024policies.com, which describes Harris’s policies — as the Trump campaign sees them.

“order Czar Kamala Harris opened the southern border to illegal alien criminals and deadly fentanyl, and as vice president, was the tie-breaking vote for far-left spending bills that raised taxes and sent prices skyrocketing for families across the country,” the website explains.

“While Harris has tried to rewrite history on her extreme record, she can’t hide from her promises to set murderers free, dismantle America’s border security, raise costs with massive spending bills, bring back the Green New Deal Scam, eliminate private health insurance, and more.”

There are nine sections, as follows:

  • Fighting to Set Murderers Free
  • More “Bidenomics”—it’s “Working,” Rising Costs are Nothing to Worry About!
  • More Taxes to Ensure the Middle-Class Pays Their “Fair Share”
  • Abolish Borders
  • Bring Back the Green New Deal
  • Kamala Believes in Freedom for Individuals Associated with Violent Behavior. (Formally Referred to as Violent Criminals)
  • Ending “Wrongheaded Thinking” That More Police Mean Safer Communities
  • Eliminate Private Health Insurance
  • Give Social Security and Medicare to Illegal Aliens

The policies are based on Harris’s own past positions, not just during her four years as Biden’s deputy, but also during her failed 2019 presidential campaign (she did not make it into 2020), and her two years as a U.S. Senator, when she was rated as further left than socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

The Trump campaign unveiled the website during the Democratic National Convention, during which Democrats have been reluctant to talk about specific policies.

Democratic National Convention Avoids Any Talk of Policy — Except Abortion

After three nights of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, there has not been a single discussion of policy — except for abortion, which was highlighted on the third night with several speeches devoted to the topic.

The convention, like the candidate, has avoided any discussion of what Democrats would do if voters rewarded the Democratic Party with power. Instead, it has focused on attacking former President Donald Trump, casting him and running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) as the embodiment of an oppressive past. “We’re not going back!” delegates often chant, without explaining where they would like to go instead.

Vance has come in for particular criticism for remarks he made before he was even running for office, when he told then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson in 2021 that “the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children.” Democrats have painted that as an attack on single women — the party’s most reliable voting block — or on women who have tried and failed to have children.

Trump has backed in vitro fertilization (IVF), but Democrats have cast the GOP as a threat to the procedure.

Other than the issue of reproduction, Democrats have avoided any talk of policy — whether on the economy, on foreign policy, or on the border — except for attacking “Project 2025,” a manifesto published by a conservative think tank. They have tried to portray Harris as a tough-on-crime prosecutor, or an effective leader on securing the border, but that has meant ignoring or spinning her record, rather than talking about what she would do as president.

Exclusive Report: Biden-Harris Polices Released 4 Dangerous Migrants Who Then Viciously Attacked Chicago Man

Breitbart News can exclusively reveal a report from the House Judiciary Committee that details how the Biden-Harris administration released four dangerous migrants into the country who then went on to commit several crimes and perpetrated a vicious attack and robbery against a man in Chicago, Illinois.

In Wednesday’s interim staff report from the Committee on the Judiciary and Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) details the series of policy failures that led to the four migrants being released into the U.S. — only to go on to commit a series of crimes, topped off with the violent attack in Chicago.

As Breitbart News reported, in February, Carlos Carreno-Carreno, 20, Wilker Gutierrez-Sierra, 21, Fernando Loyo-Rodriguez, 22, and Yonnier Guasamucare-Garcia, 18, all Venezuelan nationals living in Chicago’s shelter system, were arrested for a brutal assault committed on a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) train. Police said the four lured a 49-year-old passenger to the back of a train and then beat him while they robbed him.

A video of the incident that the Chicago Police Department (CPD) released reveals the shocking attack, which rendered the innocent victim unconscious. The migrants rifled through his pockets to steal his wallet, money, and cell phone.

Robert F Kennedy Jr to drop US presidential bid, back Trump, reports say

Independent candidate is scheduled to give a speech about ‘path forward’ in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday.

Robert F Kennedy Jr is planning to drop his bid to become the next president of the United States and endorse Republican Party nominee Donald Trump, US media has reported.

Kennedy, the third child of liberal icon Robert F Kennedy, is considering announcing the end of his campaign during an appearance with Trump in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Trump says he’d consider appointing RFK Jr. to role in administration
Donald Trump said Tuesday he would “certainly” be open to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. playing a role in his administration if the independent candidate drops out of the 2024 race and endorses the former president.

“I like him, and I respect him,” Trump told CNN’s Kristen Holmes in an interview after a campaign stop in Michigan.

“He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time,” the Republican presidential nominee said. “I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”

Trump’s comments came after Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, said on a podcast posted Tuesday that the Kennedy campaign is considering dropping out of the race and endorsing Trump. She described the decision as intended to reduce “the risk” that Vice President Kamala Harris defeats Trump.

Trump said he would “love that endorsement, because I’ve always liked” Kennedy.

Asked if he would consider appointing Kennedy to a role in his administration if he wins in November, Trump said he “probably would.”

“I like him a lot. I respect him a lot,” Trump said. “I probably would, if something like that would happen. He’s a very different kind of a guy — a very smart guy. And, yeah, I would be honored by that endorsement, certainly.”

The former president also downplayed the potential for

10.1 Million Border Encounters Under Biden-Harris, Says House Committee

A factsheet report released by the House Committee on Homeland Security Republicans this week highlighted the more than 170,000 nationwide migrant encounters in July. According to the committee factsheet released on Wednesday, the total of nationwide encounters under the Biden-Harris administration climbed to 10.1 million. That total did not include the roughly two million known got-aways recorded by CBP since the start of fiscal year 2021.

In a statement released with the factsheet, the Committee Republicans criticized the current administration’s use of humanitarian parole authority to admit migrants at ports of entry — referring to the practice as a “massive parole shell game.” The statement indicates the number of paroled migrants that form part of the 10.1 million encounters recorded by CBP since Fiscal Year 2021 are admitted in this manner to improve border optics, saying, “This spares Biden and Harris the damaging optics of overcrowded Border Patrol facilities and overwhelmed agents, but the result is the same, hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens being released into the interior”.

ECONOMY & BUSINESS

US economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than previously reported – Fox Business

U.S. job growth during much of the past year was significantly weaker than previously reported, according to new data published Wednesday.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics revised down its total tally of jobs created in the year through March by 818,000 as part of its preliminary annual benchmark review of payroll data. That suggests the economy added an average of 174,000 jobs per month during that time period — below the previous 242,000 estimate. On a monthly basis, that amounts to about 68,000 fewer jobs.

It marks the largest downward revision since 2009.

“The labor market appears weaker than originally reported,” said Jeffrey Roach, chief economist at LPL Financial. “A deteriorating labor market will allow the Fed to highlight both sides of the dual mandate and investors should expect the Fed to prepare markets for a cut at the September meeting.”

The revised data is mostly derived from state unemployment tax records that employers are required to file. The figure, which is preliminary, may be updated when the government releases the final figure in February 2025.

Professional and business services accounted for nearly half of the downward revision. There were also large downward revisions in other sectors including manufacturing, leisure and hospitality and information.

Federal Reserve policymakers are closely watching for signs that the labor market is starting to crack in the face of high interest rates.

Trump Says That It Is A “Massive Scandal” That Democrats Got Credit For 818,000 “New Jobs” That Never Actually Existed

Now they are telling us that 818,000 “jobs” that the U.S. economy supposedly “created” never actually existed at all.  As you will see below, Donald Trump is calling this a “massive scandal” and he is right.  Month after month, we are given employment numbers that are grossly overstated and everyone knows it.  The grossly overstated numbers make the economy look far better than it actually is, and if Americans perceive that the economy is doing well they will be more likely to vote for the party that is already controlling the White House.  Over the past few years, the difference between economic reality and what the government is actually reporting to us has become absolutely enormous, and many believe that this is being done for nefarious political reasons.

We all knew that the revision that we were going to get on Wednesday would be huge, but very few expected that it would be this huge

How can the BLS be off by 818,000 jobs?

Either the BLS is highly incompetent, or else something else is going on here.

Approximately 30 percent of the “new jobs” that were reported during the 12 months ending in March have been suddenly wiped out.

Month after month, the employment numbers have made the Democrats look good, and now we have learned that those numbers were fraudulent.

Thanks To The Cost Of Living Crisis, U.S. Household Debt Has Soared To The Highest Level Ever Recorded

Our entire economy is fueled by debt.  In fact, if going into more debt was suddenly banned the U.S. economy would instantly hit a brick wall.  For the vast majority of us, our lifestyles simply cannot be funded by what we actually make.  So we use debt to bridge the difference, and this has particularly been true during the cost of living crisis.  Total household debt has now reached a grand total of 17.8 trillion dollars, and we continue to pile up more with no end in sight…

A quarterly report published this month by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on household credit and debt found that between the first quarter of 2021 and the second quarter of 2024, credit card debt surged 48.1% while household debt — which includes mortgages and auto loans — rose by 21.6%.

In dollar terms, credit card debt rose from $770 billion in early 2021 to $1.14 trillion in the most recent quarter, while household debt increased from $14.64 trillion to $17.8 trillion in the same period.

I did not realize that credit card debt had risen by more than 48 percent since the first quarter of 2021.

That is extremely alarming, because it indicates that millions upon millions of households are literally living on the edge of financial disaster.

And the fact that delinquency rates have been climbing just underscores how serious things have become…

Amid American households’ rising debt burdens, delinquency rates have grown as well. In the last 12 months, about 9.1% of credit card debt balances and 8% of auto loan balances moved into delinquency — the highest levels since early 2011 and the end of 2010, respectively.

The primary reason why U.S. households are racking up so much debt these days is because the cost of living crisis has made it very difficult to make ends meet.

Nutritional Deficiencies Linked to Rare Bone Disorder: New Hope from Selenium and Iodine

In the remote regions of China, a debilitating bone disorder has long puzzled medical experts. Now, researchers are uncovering how two essential minerals may hold the key to prevention and treatment.

Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) is a chronic, endemic osteoarthropathy that primarily affects children and adolescents in certain regions of China. This debilitating condition is characterized by the degeneration and necrosis of cartilage, leading to joint deformities, stunted growth, and in severe cases, permanent disability. According to recent statistics, “China had 379 endemic counties, affecting approximately 172,000 individuals” as of 2021.

The impact of KBD on affected communities is profound. Dr. Peng Xu, lead author of a recent review on KBD, explains: “The advanced stage of joint deformity, short stature, and even permanent disability in some patients, significantly impair their quality of life”.1 This highlights the urgent need for effective prevention and treatment strategies.

The Selenium and Iodine Connection: New Research Insights

A comprehensive review published in Frontiers in Nutrition has shed light on the crucial roles of selenium and iodine in the pathogenesis and potential prevention of KBD. The study, led by Dr. Peng Xu and colleagues, analyzed decades of research to uncover the intricate relationships between these trace minerals and KBD.

Key findings include:

  1. Selenium deficiency: The review found that “Se levels in water, soil, grain, and corn were significantly lower in KBD-endemic areas than in nonendemic areas”. This suggests a strong environmental component to the disease.
  2. Oxidative stress: Selenium, as a component of antioxidant enzymes, plays a crucial role in protecting chondrocytes (cartilage cells) from oxidative damage. The authors note: “Under conditions of Se deficiency, target cells such as chondrocytes experience oxidative stress, leading to necrosis of the growth plate and indirectly impacting cartilage development”.
  3. Iodine and thyroid function: The study revealed that “iodine deficiency is usually accompanied by a low Se content in the soil in the KBD areas of China”.1 Iodine deficiency can lead to thyroid dysfunction, which in turn affects bone development and growth plate formation.
  4. Synergistic effects: Perhaps most intriguingly, the research suggests that the combination of selenium and iodine deficiencies may have a more pronounced effect than either deficiency alone. The authors state: “Compared with Se deficiency alone, Se combined with iodine deficiency can reduce the activity of glutathione peroxidase more effectively, which increases the vulnerability of chondrocytes and other target cells to oxidative stress, resulting in chondrocyte death”.

Study: COVID mRNA shots ‘dramatically increase the risk of becoming severely ill or dying’

‘Injections carry such a high risk of dangerous adverse events, it would be safer to catch the virus without being vaccinated than to take one of the shots’

Those mRNA COVID-19 shots, turned out in double time by an industry in the pay of the federal government at the time, are “far more” dangerous to those who took them, including those forced by government officials to take them, than getting COVID, a new report explains.

The report at Slay News said a study has shown that the “overall risks” of the shots “greatly outweigh theoretical benefits.”

The study results appeared in the International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice, and Research.

The researchers included M. Nathaniel Mead of the McCullough Foundation, MIT’s Stephanie Seneff, independent researcher Jessica Rose, Research Triangle Park’s Russ Wolfinger, Nicolas Hulscher and Dr. Peter A. McCullough, an M.D. practicing in internal medicine, cardiology, epidemiology and more.
