Record Numbers of Young Voters Mobilize in Nigeria for Presidential Race

The youth vote can be unreliable in just about any electorate, but if Nigeria’s pre-election polls hold up, young voters are set to propel third-party candidate Peter Obi to a historic victory.

If the polls do not hold up, as many veteran Nigerian political observers expect, Obi will become the latest populist candidate to wonder where all those excited young supporters went on Election Day.

Surveillance State: Tony Blair and Ex-Tory Leader Call for Chinese Communist-Style Digital ID

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the ex-leader of the Tory Party William Hague have called for a “technological revolution” in how the state monitors citizens, including the imposition of a digital ID that would include swaths of personal data, in a scheme being likened to Communist China.

Demonstrating yet again the distinction without difference between the two main parties in Westminster, former Labour Party Prime Minister Tony Blair and his former Conservative opponent at the parliament dispatch box, William Hague penned a joint article for The Times of London, arguing in favour of the formation of a national Digital ID, that would include passport and driving licence details, as well as tax records and right to work documents.

A 57-year-old woman in France defended herself against a would-be rapist by biting a piece of the Tunisian’s tongue off as he tried to sexually abuse her.

The incident occurred at around 4 am on Sunday morning in the Saint-Jean district of the city of Avignon and saw the Tunisian, said to be in his thirties, follow the 57-year-old woman as she was walking her dog.

US Pledges ‘Consequences’ for China If It Provides Military Aid to Russia

The United States is prepared to impose consequences on China’s communist regime should it provide lethal military aid to Russia for the ongoing war in Ukraine.

State Department spokesperson Ned Price, during a Feb. 22 press briefing, said that the regime would not escape sanctions if it attempted to further assist Russia’s conquest.

“We have been clear with the PRC that consequences would befall them if they were to provide lethal assistance,” Price said using an acronym for the official name of communist China, the People’s Republic of China.

“We have been clear. We will not hesitate to target Chinese companies or individuals who violate sanctions.”

Pentagon Releases U-2 Pilot’s Photo of Chinese Spy Balloon Before It Was Shot Down

The Pentagon released a photo of the Chinese spy balloon on Wednesday taken by a U.S. Air Force pilot before it was shot down earlier this month.

The photo of the Chinese spy balloon hovering over the central continental United States was captured by a U-2 pilot on Feb. 3. The image depicts the pilot observing the suspect balloon from above.

The Chinese spy balloon was shot down by the Air Force the next day off the coast of South Carolina. The last of the debris was collected on Feb. 16 by U.S. Navy assets assigned to U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), which oversees the defense for much of North America.

NORTHCOM said in a statement on Feb. 17 that the debris would be given to the FBI for analysis.

The incident set off an uproar in the United States and forced Secretary of State Antony Blinken to cancel a planned visit to Beijing, which would have been the first trip a U.S. Secretary of State took to China in five years.

The Biden administration viewed the trip to China as an opportunity to improve relations that had deteriorated due to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan in 2022.

The Biden administration has said it wants to maintain open lines of communication with Beijing even after it announced that the Chinese balloon, which hovered over U.S. airspace for longer than a week, was part of a worldwide surveillance program that impacts more than 40 nations, including Washington’s “closest allies and partners.”

“I expect to be speaking with President Xi, and I hope we are going to get to the bottom of this,” President Joe Biden stated at a Feb. 16 news conference, although he added that he makes “no apologies for taking down that balloon.”

NTSB Releases 1st Report on Train Derailment in East Palestine, Points to ‘Overheat Failure’

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on Feb. 2 issued an initial report on the Norfolk Southern freight train carrying toxic chemicals that derailed this month in East Palestine, Ohio, sparking a fire and sending contaminants into the air and water.

The report, which is preliminary and subject to change as investigators deepen their probe, suggests that a wheel bearing was nearing overheat failure before the train went off the rails.

The crew operating the freight train didn’t receive a critical warning about the overheated axle until moments before the derailment, the report states.

After getting a “critical audible alarm message” from the wayside defect detector—or hot bearing detector—instructing the crew to stop the train to inspect a hot axle, the engineer slowed and stopped the train.

When the train came to a halt, the crew saw smoke and fire and alerted dispatch of a possible derailment.

The derailed equipment included 11 tank cars carrying flammable toxic chemicals that ignited.

The ensuing blaze damaged another 12 cars that hadn’t derailed.

Ohio toxic train wreck was completely preventable, report finds

After federal officials released an initial report concluding that this month’s toxic train wreck in Ohio was completely preventable, investigators will begin examining procedures, practices and design prior to the derailment that has sparked long-term concerns among hundreds of frustrated residents.

The National Transportation Safety Board on Thursday released its preliminary report on the investigation into the February 3 train crash in East Palestine, Ohio, where residents have been complaining about feeling sick after hazardous chemicals seeped into the air, water and soil.

Biden Calls Ohio and Pennsylvania Officials to Address East Palestine Train Derailment

President Joe Biden called elected officials in Ohio and Pennslyvania on Tuesday to address the Feb. 3 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.

In social media posts on Tuesday, Biden said he spoke by phone with Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro., Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), and Rep. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio). Biden called those officials from Poland and continued his visit to the eastern European country on Wednesday.

“I reaffirmed my commitment to making sure they have everything they need,” Biden said of the calls.

The president also noted the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had ordered the train company involved in the derailment accident, Norfolk Southern Corporation, to pay for all necessary contamination cleanup associated with the accident.

DeSantis Proposes Human Smuggling Crackdown, Mandatory E-Verify, Ban on Driver’s Licenses for Illegal Aliens

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has issued a set of proposals to crack down on illegal immigration across the state of Florida, blasting President Joe Biden for “reckless … open border policies.”

DeSantis detailed the list of legislative proposals during a press conference in Jacksonville on Thursday, urging Florida state legislators to approve the initiatives that would increase criminal penalties for human smugglers, enforce a statewide ban on employers hiring illegal aliens, and prohibit counties from issuing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, among other things.

Two Pakistanis leave Guantanamo after 20 years without charges

Two Pakistani brothers held by the United States at Guantanamo Bay military prison for two decades have been freed by US officials and have returned home, officials said.

Abdul, 55, and Mohammed Rabbani, 53, will be reunited with their families after a formal questioning by Pakistani authorities, security officials and a Pakistani senator said on Friday.

Former Trump Ambassador Would Endorse DeSantis in 2024

An ambassador who served during the Trump administration has decided not to endorse his former boss for president.

Donald Tapia, who was the U.S. ambassador to Jamaica from 2019 to 2021, said he would support Florida Gov. DeSantis, should the governor decide to make a bid for the White House in 2024, according to Politico.

“The name-calling has turned a lot of people off,” Tapia said when referring to former President Donald Trump. “Let me tell you, we don’t like that.”

Days before the 2022 midterm elections, Trump began calling the Florida governor “Ron DeSanctimonious.” The former president used the same term in a recent post on his Truth Social account.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted more pro-life activists for allegedly violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, a charge that carries up to 11 years in prison and $350,000 in fines.

The DOJ announced on Wednesday that eight people – Calvin Zastrow, Chester Gallagher, Heather Idoni, Caroline Davis, Joel Curry, Justin Phillips, Eva Edl and Eva Zastrow – are accused of “engaging in a civil rights conspiracy” and violating the FACE Act in connection with an August 2020 blockade of an abortion clinic in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Idoni and Edl are facing additional charges for allegedly violating the FACE Act in connection with an April 2021 blockade of an abortion clinic in Saginaw, Michigan.

Even Death Can Be Political: An interview with forensic pathologist Michael Baden

In the case of Floyd, Baden concluded his death was a “homicide caused by asphyxia due to neck and back compression that led to a lack of blood flow to the brain.” In contrast to the official account, Baden found no significant heart muscle damage and the fentanyl in Floyd’s blood did not cause his death.

Baden terms Floyd’s cause of death “positional asphyxia.” It occurs, he explains to me during a detailed anatomy lesson, when compression against the chest prevents expansion of the lungs. Baden notes that it can also take place when one is on their stomach and there is pressure placed on the back. “This is the time that police are handcuffing a disobeying person,” he says.

Hours after Baden announced his conclusion, the official cause of Floyd’s death was changed to “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint and neck compression.”

Baden explains that in cases of positional asphyxia, there may be no evidence found during autopsy of internal or external injury. “A lot of medical examiners,” he says, “feel that they can’t make a diagnosis of prone back pressure because nothing shows up at autopsy. And they will then blame it on the drug that was taken, if there was a drug, or we all have some degree of coronary artery disease.”

“This,” Baden says firmly, means that when it comes to police encounter cases, “autopsy must begin” at the scene of the incident.

Twenty thousand-plus autopsies. I just can’t get my head around that number. A lifetime of death on a daily basis. Baden has heard this before. “Doing autopsies is not a depressing function,” he says. What’s upsetting is when “I was treating patients at Bellevue Hospital who were dying of metastatic cancer or severe heart disease and I couldn’t help them,” he explains.

“The people I deal with have no pain.”

Exclusive–Vivek Ramaswamy Vows to Release ‘State Action Files’ Exposing Government’s Pressuring of Private Sector, if Elected President

New Hampshire – Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told Breitbart News on Wednesday that if elected president, he will issue an executive order within his first three months in office to disclose every instance where “a government actor pressured a private company to do what the government could not legally do itself” over the past five years.

After fielding questions from voters at a town-hall-style event at Murphy’s Tap Room, Breitbart News caught up with the anti-woke entrepreneur, who is vehemently opposed to leftist Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing. Last year he launched Strive Asset Management, designed to compete with BlackRock and other companies that have pushed ESG policies.

Marianne Williamson Confirms Presidential Bid

Marianne Williamson, progressive activist and author of multiple self-help books, became the first Democratic candidate to enter in the 2024 presidential race on Thursday.

“I wouldn’t be running for president if I didn’t believe I could contribute to harnessing the collective sensibility that I feel is our greatest hope at this time,” Williamson told the Medill News Service in an exclusive interview published on Thursday.

The political outsider will likely face incumbent President Joe Biden, who is expected to announce his bid in the coming weeks, in the primaries. No other Democratic candidate has officially announced a presidential bid.

She hinted in a Feb. 19 statement that she’d make an “important announcement,” likely referring to her presidential bid, on March 4. But her Thursday announcement appears to indicate that she decided to move earlier.

In the Feb. 19 statement, she listed three motivations that “propelled [her] to explore the possibility of running for the Democratic nomination for president in 2024.”

“I am motivated by: a commitment to the tenets of liberty espoused in the Declaration of Independence and the Gettysburg Address; a realization of the Democratic Party’s shift away from the party of President Franklin Roosevelt; and the economic injustices endured by millions of Americans due to the influence of corporate money on our political system,” she said.

WARNING: FDA Announces Recall of New Eye Products Over Deadly Bacteria

A drug manufacturer has recalled yet another over-the-counter eye product in the United States amid an outbreak of a rare, antibiotic-resistant bacterial outbreak that was initially linked to eye drops and artificial tears.

“FDA recommended that Global Pharma recall Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Eye Ointment, and the firm agreed to initiate a recall,” according to an update issued by the agency. It came a day after the drug regulator said that it is “also now warning consumers and health care professionals not to purchase or use Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Eye Ointment due to potential bacterial contamination.”

The updated warning from the FDA did not provide more details about the over-the-counter ointment other than it may be contaminated with harmful bacteria.

“Using contaminated artificial tears increases the risk of eye infections that could result in blindness or death,” the FDA said in its prior update. “Patients who have signs or symptoms of an eye infection should talk to their health care provider or seek medical care immediately.”

The recall and fresh warning issued this week came after the FDA on Feb. 2 said consumers and retailers should not buy EzriCare Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears as the agency cited a possible bacterial contamination. EzriCare Artificial Tears, Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears, and Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Eye Ointment are all manufactured by Global Pharma Healthcare, which is headquartered in Tamilnadu, India.

Unique Health Benefits of Vitamin E

Vitamin E is fat-soluble and comes in eight chemical forms; alpha-tocopherol is the most studied of them and according to the NIH, the only one that meets human requirements

Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that has photoprotective properties and helps prevent some cancers. A 2022 paper concludes vitamin E may help enhance cancer immunotherapy by reinvigorating dendritic cells critical to an immune response

Maintaining optimal levels may help lower systolic blood pressure and diastolic pressure to a lesser degree. Vitamin E insufficiency is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events

Vitamin E may help fertility, demonstrates neuroprotective properties and in combination with vitamin D, vitamin E helps lower symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

While you won’t overdose on vitamin E-rich foods because it’s a fat-soluble vitamin and is stored in fat cells, you can overdose with supplements. This can trigger adverse side effects, including inhibition of platelet aggregation and bleeding

Zombie Foreclosures Inch Up Again Across The Nation

ATTOM, a leading curator of land, property, and real estate data, today released its first-quarter 2023 Vacant Property and Zombie Foreclosure Report showing that 1.3 million (1,284,048) residential properties in the United States sit vacant. That figure represents 1.3 percent, or one in 79 homes, across the nation.

The report analyzes publicly recorded real estate data collected by ATTOM — including foreclosure status, equity and owner-occupancy status — matched against monthly updated vacancy data. Stockman: The Fed’s Giant Economic (Pseudo)Science Experiment

The Fed holds interest rates to be its primary control valve, with lower ones providing a stimulus to the GDP and higher ones a brake. Self-evidently, therefore, interest rates below the inflation level are a stimulus because they amount to economic subsidization of debt, and the spending or investment which results.

Still, even the primitive Phillips Curve theory of the growth/inflation trade-offs screams out that the Fed is way behind the curve, even based on its own defective economic models. After all, why in the world has it permitted its ultimate control valve and benchmark—the 10-year UST—to carry a negative real yield for 36 of the last 38 months.

That’s right. There is nothing like the pattern shown below in modern history, yet somehow the Keynesian dunderheads domiciled in the Eccles Building have been surprised at the virulence and persistence of the current inflationary tide.

What Will Happen When Banks Go Bust? Bank Runs, Bail-Ins and Systemic Risk

inancial podcasts have been featuring ominous headlines lately along the lines of “Your Bank Can Legally Seize Your Money” and “Banks Can STEAL Your Money?! Here’s How!” The reference is to “bail-ins:” the provision under the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act allowing Systemically Important Financial Institutions (SIFIs, basically the biggest banks) to bail in or expropriate their creditors’ money in the event of insolvency. The problem is that depositors are classed as “creditors.” So how big is the risk to your deposit account? Part I of this two part article will review the bail-in issue. Part II will look at the derivatives risk that could trigger the next global financial crisis.

Mozilla: Nearly 80% of Google Play Store apps have discrepancies in privacy reporting

Nearly four out every five apps in Google’s Play Store are not accurately reporting how they handle user data despite filling out required forms intended to increase transparency, researchers have found.

Mozilla researchers analyzed the 40 most popular free and paid apps and how their data collection policies line up with what was disclosed on Google’s Data Safety Forms.

According to the researchers, there were so many significant discrepancies between the apps’ own privacy policies and the information provided on Google’s forms that they believe “the apps aren’t self-reporting accurately enough to give the public any meaningful reassurance about the safety and privacy of their data.”

The form asks for information about what data the apps collect from users, why they collect it and who they share it with. Google says all 2.7 million apps in the Play Store are required to fill out the form, but researchers say not all have done so.

Reducing Social Media Use Reduces Teens’ Body Image Concerns (Study)

Over the years, numerous reports and studies have concluded that social media use can and does harm children and teens.  In fact, last month, a study revealed that social media use is “reprogramming children’s brains”.  Of course, this may not have come as a surprise to parents who have been watching it happen in their own homes.  The results of this new study may not surprise anyone else either.

From StudyFinds.org:

Cutting social media use in half ‘significantly’ improves teenagers’ body image

WASHINGTON — Ditching social media can “significantly” improve a teenager’s body image, a new study explains. Researchers working with the American Psychological Association say both teens and young adults feel far better about their weight and looks when they cut their screen time in half for just three weeks. Regardless of gender, the team says the rapid intervention brings significant improvements in distressed youth who excessively scroll through their mobile devices.

Apps and social media platforms are home to more and more fashion and fitness influencers, pushing vulnerable kids to internalize often-unattainable beauty ideals. Already, adolescents are more likely to struggle with self-esteem, mental illness, and eating disorders.

As a result, a team from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute recommends time off of social apps as one treatment for body-image issues. Scientists report young people are spending six to eight hours a day looking at screens, on average.

“Adolescence is a vulnerable period for the development of body image issues, eating disorders and mental illness,” says lead author Gary Goldfield, PhD, of Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute, in a media release.

“Youth are spending, on average, between six to eight hours per day on screens, much of it on social media. Social media can expose users to hundreds or even thousands of images and photos every day, including those of celebrities and fashion or fitness models, which we know leads to an internalization of beauty ideals that are unattainable for almost everyone, resulting in greater dissatisfaction with body weight and shape.”

Contact Tracing Apps Violate Privacy

The Rockefeller Foundation’s white paper, “National COVID-19 Testing Action Plan” lays out a strategic framework that is clearly intended to become part of a permanent surveillance and social control structure that severely limits personal liberty and freedom of choice

Contact-tracing apps are a significant part of this scheme, and the Rockefeller plan clearly states that “Whenever and wherever possible data should be open,” and that “privacy concerns must be set aside”

The U.S. is rapidly adopting an artificial intelligence-driven mass surveillance system rivaling that of China, and legal and structural obstacles are being swept away under the guise of combating COVID-19

Contact-tracing apps require you to keep your cellphone on your person throughout the day, giving thousands of third parties access to personal data

Biden ‘lied’ about Nord Stream blasts – Seymour Hersh

The US president has deceived the public about his country’s role in the pipeline attacks, the legendary journalist says

US President Joe Biden secretly ordered the blowing up of the

Nord Stream pipelines so Germany would not back out of imposing sanctions on Moscow over Ukraine, legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh said on Afshin Rattansi’s show ‘Going Underground.’ Hersh published a bombshell exposé on the incident earlier this month.

In the report, Hersh claimed that the US and Norway were behind the September 2022 blasts that hit the dual pipelines, built to deliver Russian gas to Germany through the Baltic Sea. Washington denied any involvement in the blasts, calling the journalist’s claims “fiction.”

Hersh stood by his words, however. Biden was “lying” and “not telling the truth about something he authorized,” he said. The journalist compared the alleged affair to the events leading up to Washington’s entry into the wars in Vietnam and Iraq.

The US intent was to “to make sure that Europe keeps on supporting NATO and keeps funneling arms into what is clearly a proxy war against Russia that’s being fought right now,” Hersh said.

Holy Grail of COVID-19 Spike Protein Detoxification

Far and away the most common question I get from those who took one of the COVID-19 vaccines is: “How do I get this out of my body.” The mRNA and adenoviral DNA products were rolled out with no idea of how or when the body would ever break down the genetic code. The synthetic mRNA carried on lipid nanoparticles appears to be resistant to breakdown by human ribonucleases by design so the product would be long-lasting and produce the protein product of interest for a considerable time period.

Nattokinase is an enzyme is produced by fermenting soybeans with the bacteria Bacillus subtilis var. natto and has been available as an oral supplement. It degrades fibrinogen, factor VII, cytokines, and factor VIII and has been studied for its cardiovascular benefits. Out of all the available therapies I have used in my practice and among all the proposed detoxification agents, I believe nattokinase and related peptides hold the greatest promise for patients at this time.

Tanikawa et al. examined the effect of nattokinase on the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2. In the first experiment, they demonstrated that spike was degraded in a time and dose-dependent manner in a cell lysate preparation that could be analogous to a vaccine recipient. The second experiment demonstrated that nattokinase degraded the spike protein in SARS-CoV-2 infected cells. This was reproduced in a similar study done by Oba and colleagues in 2021.

Based on these findings, nattokinase and similar products such as serrapeptase should undergo well-funded, accelerated preclinical and clinical development programs. The issue at hand is the urgency of time, similar to that with SARS-CoV-2 infection and empiric early therapy. It will take up to 20 years to have a fully developed pharmaceutical profile to characterize the safety and efficacy of nattokinase in the treatment of vaccine injury and post-COVID syndromes.

Large numbers of people are sick now and many believe empiric treatment is justified given the sufficiently low risk of side effects and potentially high reward. My recommendation is to discuss this with your doctor or seek a specialist in holistic or naturopathic medicine who is experienced with the safety profile of nattokinase in a range of applications.

Rolling Stone Magazine: Cancel Culture ‘Good for Democracy’

Cancel culture is both “good for democracy” and a “way for a new generation of people to practice free speech,” according to a recent Rolling Stone piece celebrating the ostracization of those “guilty” of holding controversial positions, while assuring the practice is “here to stay.”

The Monday essay penned by journalist Ernest Owens and titled “Why Cancel Culture Is Good For Democracy,” begins by disputing the notion that cancel culture is a “new phenomenon that’s caused havoc on free expression and speech,” claiming it only “feels new” today “because of the digital platforms we have at our disposal.”

Project Veritas Says James O’Keefe Could Return as It Asks Supporters to ‘Give Us a Chance’

Project Veritas said on Feb. 23 that founder James O’Keefe could return as it asked supporters to “give us a chance” following O’Keefe’s ouster.

O’Keefe spoke to staff members at the organization’s headquarters in New York on Feb. 20, announcing that he was leaving after being stripped of his position as CEO and chairman of the board of directors.

“I’m intending to start anew,” he said.

The board has stated that it didn’t fire him and that it didn’t want him to resign.

In the statement, sent to supporters of the journalism organization, Project Veritas said it understands that people are frustrated.

“We all love and respect James and hope he returns. This is difficult for everyone,” the nonprofit stated in the unsigned email.

The board had stated that it uncovered “financial malfeasance” and that O’Keefe “left us no choice but to suspend him in the last few weeks when he unilaterally fired the CFO, who can only be fired with Board approval.”

“We did not fire him, nor do we want him to resign,” the board stated.

Is There a Link Between Hearing Impairment and Dog Dementia?

Recent research by North Carolina State University has established that as is the case with human seniors, there appears to be a connection between hearing loss and dementia in senior and geriatric dogs

The study of 39 dogs, median age of 13 years, showed that a decreased ability to hear is closely associated with the onset of canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD)

Of the dogs with normal hearing, 61% had no symptoms of CCD, while half of dogs with moderate hearing loss had moderate CCD symptoms, and of the dogs with severe hearing loss, none were CCD symptom-free, 38% showed moderate signs, and 50% had severe levels of CCD

There are many things you can do to help preserve your aging dog’s wellbeing and help her stay mentally sharp, including offering the right diet and supplements, encouraging regular exercise, skipping unnecessary vaccines, and scheduling twice-yearly wellness exams

One of the Best Ways to Help Homeless Dogs

One of countless benefits of adopting a shelter dog is that you save a precious life, or at a minimum, if you adopt from a no-kill shelter, you make room for another wonderful dog in need of a home

Adopting from a shelter also allows you to take a stand against pet stores, puppy mills, and irresponsible backyard breeders; if you can’t find the pet you’re looking for at your local shelter, you can use online resources like Petfinder to search for your perfect canine companion outside your area

Many shelters and rescues provide pet parents with a wide range of resources to help make adoption successful, including in-depth pet assessments and training classes

The unconditional love and companionship of a shelter dog can help cure loneliness and alleviate depression; shelter dogs often bond very closely with the humans who rescue them

A Dog Lost For 36 Hours Rang the Animal Shelter’s Doorbell

When a rescue dog found herself lost in her new neighborhood, she somehow knew just where to go to find help.

Back in January, a husky-mix named Bailey adopted by a family in Upper El Paso went missing, and her owners went to social media to try and find help locating her.

They contacted the shelter where they rescued Bailey, El Paso Animal Rescue League, who posted pictures of her on Facebook with the news. “URGENT- This beautiful girl- Bailey- has gotten loose in the area of Mesa and Sunland Park,” the post read.

But Bailey had a trick up her fur that would make the rescue efforts much easier. She walked herself ten miles right back to the Rescue League’s doors in Canutillo and rang the bell with her nose.

At 1:40 AM, the surveillance camera on the doorbell caught an image of the clever dog.

“These dogs are smarter than people give them credit for,” Loretta Hyde, the Rescue League’s founder, told a local Fox News affiliate. “How did she know what direction to go? She was 10 miles away! What did she eat and drink during those days?”

The shelter team immediately got Bailey inside and shortly thereafter reunited her with her family.
