Thousands in India received fake coronavirus vaccines containing salt water
CNN – Thousands of people have fallen prey to an elaborate wide-ranging scam selling fake coronavirus vaccines in India, with doctors and medical workers among those arrested for their involvement, authorities say.
At least 12 fake vaccination drives were held in or near the financial hub Mumbai, in the country’s western Maharashtra state, said Vishal Thakur, a senior official of the Mumbai police department.
“They were using saline water and injecting it,” Thakur said. “Every fake vaccination camp that they held, they were doing this.”
An estimated 2,500 people were given fake shots, he said. The organizers charged their victims fees for the shots, earning up to $28,000 in total.
“We have arrested doctors,” he added. “They were using a hospital which was producing the fake certificates, vials, syringes.”
So far, 14 people have been arrested on suspicion of cheating, attempts at culpable homicide, criminal conspiracy, and other charges. More arrests may come as police continue investigating other people involved in the scam, Thakur said.
Tax havens no more? 130 nations agree to 15% global minimum tax.
In what has been lauded as “the most important international tax agreement in a century,” 130 countries have agreed to a global minimum tax of at least 15% for multinational firms, in an effort to prevent them from dodging taxes.
CS Monior – Some 130 countries have agreed on a global minimum tax backed by President Joe Biden as part of a worldwide effort to keep multinational firms from dodging taxes by shifting their profits to countries with low rates.
The agreement announced Thursday is an attempt to address challenges presented by a globalized and increasingly digital world economy in which profits can be relocated across borders and companies can earn online profits in places where they have no taxable headquarters.
The deal calls for a global minimum tax of at least 15%, a key element pushed by Mr. Biden as he seeks to raise more revenue for his infrastructure and clean energy plans. Technical details still need to be worked out and it would be at least 2023 before the agreement takes effect.

With every new tax, fine, fee and law adopted by our so-called representatives, the yoke around the neck of the average American seems to tighten just a little bit more.
Everywhere you go, everything you do, and every which way you look, we’re getting swindled, cheated, conned, robbed, raided, pickpocketed, mugged, deceived, defrauded, double-crossed and fleeced by governmental and corporate shareholders of the American police state out to make a profit at taxpayer expense.
The overt and costly signs of the despotism exercised by the increasingly authoritarian regime that passes itself off as the United States government are all around us: warrantless surveillance of Americans’ private phone and email conversations by the FBI, NSA, etc.; SWAT team raids of Americans’ homes; shootings of unarmed citizens by police; harsh punishments meted out to schoolchildren in the name of zero tolerance; drones taking to the skies domestically; endless wars; out-of-control spending; militarized police; roadside strip searches; privatized prisons with a profit incentive for jailing Americans; fusion centers that collect and disseminate data on Americans’ private transactions; and militarized agencies with stockpiles of ammunition, to name some of the most appalling.
Meanwhile, the three branches of government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) and the agencies under their command—Defense, Commerce, Education, Homeland Security, Justice, Treasury, etc.—have switched their allegiance to the Corporate State with its unassailable pursuit of profit at all costs and by any means possible.
By the time you factor in the financial blowback from the COVID-19 pandemic with its politicized mandates, lockdowns, and payouts, it becomes quickly apparent that we are now ruled by a government consumed with squeezing every last penny out of the population and seemingly unconcerned if essential freedoms are trampled in the process.
As with most things, if you want to know the real motives behind any government program, follow the money trail.
When you dig down far enough, you quickly find that those who profit from Americans being surveilled, fined, scanned, searched, probed, tasered, arrested and imprisoned are none other than the police who arrest them, the courts which try them, the prisons which incarcerate them, and the corporations, which manufacture the weapons, equipment and prisons used by the American police state.

The article details how Thordarson, a convicted felon, pedophile and diagnosed sociopath, used his position to steal money from Wikileaks, and received immunity from prosecution from the FBI in a quid pro quo.
Such a blatant and juicy piece of important news should have made worldwide headlines. But, instead, as of Friday, July 2, there has been literally zero coverage of it in corporate media; not one word in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC News, Fox News or NPR. A search online for either “Assange” or “Thordarson” will elicit zero relevant articles from establishment sources, either US or elsewhere in the Anglosphere, even in tech-focused platforms like the Verge, Wired or Gizmodo.
Govt to Force Gun Owners to Pay Annual Tax, Will Confiscate Guns from Those Who Refuse
Free Thought Project – In a move that is being celebrated by the anti-gun crowd, the government of San Jose, California has passed a resolution — unanimously — to force gun owners to pay an annual tax and carry insurance for the privilege of self-defense.
Though the forthcoming tax has yet to be determined, lawmakers have already determined that they will begin confiscating guns from anyone who refuses to pay it.
This move comes on the heels of another Orwellian gun law the city passed two weeks ago which requires every single gun purchase to be video and audio recorded and that media stored indefinitely.
The city claims the gun tax is necessary to force gun owners to cover the costs related to gun violence in the city. Given the fact that most gun crimes are not committed by law-abiding gun owners, this measure is little more than an attack on legal guns.
Naturally, this has gun rights activists up in arms and they are promising to take the city of San Jose to court if they follow through with the measure.
“The whole proposal is completely disingenuous. It fails to provide any proven solutions. It is blatantly unconstitutional,” San Jose resident Dave Truslow, a National Rifle Association firearm instructor, told the San Jose Spotlight. “In the meantime, (Mayor Sam Liccardo) is hoping to bask in the sunlight.”
Another valid point brought up by those who oppose this new law is the fact that — like most taxes, fines, or monetary requirements — it targets poor people. For those who can afford to pay, it won’t be that big of a burden but for those who can’t afford it, they will be forced to turn in their guns or become criminals overnight.
It appears this is a back-door means of disarming the city’s poor population.
“What these measures really do is penalize the less affluent,” Truslow said.
According to the San Jose Spotlight, Truslow is concerned that there are no measures to address issues that drive crime, including increasing the number of San Jose police officers, pursuing unlawful possession of guns, constructing a city jail for those who violate Santa Clara County’s sanctuary policy, more effective gang intervention programs and workplace violence training for public employees. He wants the city to address crime instead of Liccardo’s gun measures.
Sam Paredes, executive director of gun rights policy group Gun Owners of California, told the Mercury News last month that Liccardo would “have his rear end handed to him in a basket by a judge.”
“We think that the mayor must have aspirations to be king or something because his proposals are not allowed under federal or state law because of the constitution on the federal side and the preemption law on the state side,” Paredes told San José Spotlight.

Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas, who was a White House physician for former presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump, said Saturday that he supports the standard set while Trump was in office and Democrats demanded that he take a cognitive test.
“The far left and the mainstream media were demanding that be the new standard for anybody who’s going to lead our country and be our commander in chief and our head of state,” Jackson said Saturday, according to Fox News.
“I’m just saying I agree with them at this point — we need to get it done,” he said.
Crypto market struggles as both bitcoin & ethereum start week in the red
RT – Major cryptocurrencies are down on Monday despite a slight rally over the weekend, with bitcoin trading around 3% lower at $34,231 and Ethereum losing 3% at $2,272.
By Monday morning, the broader cryptocurrency market had also lost more than 2.8% of its value, data provider CoinMarketCap states.
A record high for bitcoin earlier this year – over $64,000 in mid-April – drove the broader cryptocurrency market to reach a value of more than $2 trillion. Since that time, the crypto market has lost over half its value and is currently worth around $1.4 trillion.
European Union’s LGBT ‘Colonialism’ Threaten’s Our Way of Life, Says Orban
Breitbart – The push from European Union figures to encroach on Hungary’s education system through LGBT diktats threatens the country’s way of life, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has warned.
Striking back against woke threats from the likes of Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte and other EU leaders, Viktor Orbán said that Hungary must stand up for self-determination, particularly when it comes to the education of children.
“They behave like colonialists. They want to dictate what laws should take effect in another country, they want to tell us how to live our lives and how to behave,” the Hungarian leader said of the EU leaders.
Orbán went on to say that critics of his legislation — which places limits on the depictions of non-traditional sexual relationships in schools and in media content aimed at children — denotes the “bad reflexes caused by their European colonialist past”.
In separate comments, the national populist leader warned: “If we allow others to tell us how we should live, who should be allowed to live in Hungary, how we should organise our lives and raise our children, we will be lost.”
The comments come in response to growing moves against the Hungarian legislation across Europe, with the leaders of 17 European Union nations writing in opposition to the move last month, calling for Hungary to be brought before the European Court of Justice over the matter.
Orbán has argued that placing limits on the promotion of transgenderism, homosexuality, and other subjects related to sex and sexuality in schools empowers parents to teach their children how they want, rather than have leftist ideology forced upon youngsters in schools.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called the legislation “a shame,” saying: “This bill clearly discriminates against people on the basis of their sexual orientation and it goes against all the fundamental values of the European Union.”

A 1-month-old baby girl was shot in the head during another mass shooting in Chicago. At least seven people were wounded in the shooting, which happened Thursday night in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood.
Three gunmen jumped out of a black Jeep Cherokee around 8:15 p.m. Thursday. The armed assailants “began shooting in several directions” in the 6500 block of South Halsted Street, according to Chicago police. The gunmen got back in the SUV and fled the crime scene.
As I have discussed previously, mass shootings have become so commonplace now that each one barely makes a blip in the news before the next one happens.
And way too often, kids end up getting killed during these incidents.

According to Chicago police, 172 children have been shot and 25 kids have been murdered so far this year. As some pray for the violence to end, they are also calling for an end to the code of silence they say often perpetuates crime.

Tyson Foods Recalls 8.5 Million Pounds of Frozen Chicken
WSJ – Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling about 8.5 million pounds of chicken products that the company and federal officials said could be contaminated with harmful bacteria.
The recall, one of the largest announced in recent years by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, covers products ranging from bags of boneless, skinless breasts to fajita strips. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said that the chicken may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes and classified the recall as high risk.
The USDA has posted a list with labels of the chicken products included in the recall.
The USDA said the recall came after the agency was notified June 9 of two people sick with listeriosis. An agency investigation identified three listeriosis illnesses, including one death, between April 6 and June 5, the agency said. Two chicken samples collected during the investigation were found to contain bacteria closely related to the strains involved in those illnesses, the USDA said, and one of those chicken samples was collected at Tyson Foods.
Tyson said the recalled products were produced at its Dexter, Mo., plant between late December and mid-April, and were sold to restaurants and supermarkets across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
