Today’s Top 5:

  1. Texas AG Ken Paxton Impeached by GOP-Controlled State House

The Republican-controlled Texas House has voted to impeach Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and sent 20 articles of impeachment to the state Senate.

It makes Paxton only the third sitting official in Texas’s nearly 200-year history to have been impeached.

“BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of Texas, That Warren Kenneth Paxton Jr., Attorney General of the State of Texas, is impeached and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the Texas Senate,” read Texas House Resolution No. 2377.

1a.  Texas Attorney General Impeached, Immediately Suspended

The Texas House of Representatives impeached Attorney General Ken Paxton on Saturday by an overwhelming vote. Attorney General Paxton is immediately suspended from office as he awaits a trial in the Texas Senate.

During a hearing on the floor of the Texas House, more than 81 percent of the members voted to impeach Attorney General Paxton on the 20 articles of impeachment filed by the House General Investigations Committee. The final vote was 121 ayes, 23 nays, two present not voting, and three abstentions.

  1. Exclusive—Tom Homan: Track, Detain, and Deport to Deal with Biden’s Border Disaste There are over five million illegal immigrants on ICE’s non-detained docket, most of whom face years of court proceedings before a judge determines their immigration fate.

This number will continue to balloon after the Biden administration ended the use of Title 42 deportations on May 11, a COVID-era policy that allowed the U.S. to immediately expel millions of illegal aliens as a threat to public health.

3.Texas Sues Biden Administration for ‘Illegally Pre-Approving’ Migrants Through Mobile App

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden’s administration on Tuesday for “illegally pre-approving” migrants to enter the United States through a mobile app that Paxton argues encourages illegal immigration.

After Title 42 ended earlier this month, Biden’s administration published a new rule that requires asylum-seekers to apply for protection in any safe third country before they arrive in the United States.

4.Homeless Illegal Alien Accused of Killing Florida Sgt. Michael Kunovich

A homeless illegal alien teenager is accused of killing St. Johns County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michael Kunovich, a 52-year-old officer who served with law enforcement for 26 years.

Virjilio Aguilar Mendez, an 18-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, has been arrested and charged with resisting an officer with violence and felony murder for the death of Kunovich.

5.Major Update on Debt Ceiling Talks

The White House and House Republicans have reached an agreement in principle, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced on Saturday evening.

“We still have a lot of work to do. But I believe this is an agreement in principle that’s worthy of American people,” McCarthy told reporters on Capitol Hill.

“That’s historic reductions in spending, consequential reforms that will lift people out of poverty into the workforce, reign in government overreach. There are no new taxes, no new government programs. There’s a lot more within the bill. We still have more work to do tonight to finish all the writing of it,” he said.

5a.‘Surrender’: Chorus of Republicans Disappointed With Debt Ceiling Agreement

Many Republicans are expressing their disappointment over some of the components inside the tentative debt ceiling agreement between President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).

McCarthy clarified details of the deal in a late Saturday night call with his GOP colleagues. A chorus of House Republicans took to Twitter to share their disappointment, with one representative calling it a “surrender.”

“I listened to Speaker McCarthy earlier tonight outline the deal with President Biden and I am appalled by the debt ceiling surrender,” tweeted Rep. Ken Buck (R-Co.). “The bottom line is that the U.S. will have $35 trillion of debt in January 2025. That is completely unacceptable.”

Sir Mike Wigston, the head of the Royal Air Force, has warned that if Russia is defeated in Ukraine the country would end up being “brutal” and “vindictive”, ultimately representing a serious threat to both the UK and NATO as a whole.

Mexican Cops Search for U.S. Citizen, Four Others Reported Missing in Jalisco

Authorities are searching for four men and a woman who went missing on their way to work this week in the Mexican state of Jalisco. One of the missing individuals is a U.S. citizen who was born in Arizona.

The case began this week when the Jalisco State Missing Persons Commission issued a series of bulletins announcing a search for Arizona-born Carlos David Valladolid Hernández, his sister Itzel Abigail Valladolid Hernández, and their coworkers Arturo Robles Corona, Carlos Benjamín García Cuevas, and Jesús Alfredo Salazar Ventura. Authorities have not labeled the case a kidnapping. Local news outlets in Mexico claim that the five individuals went missing in Zapopan and Tonala, two of the main municipalities of the Guadalajara metropolitan area.

EU Issues Warning After Elon Musk Pulls Twitter Out of Anti-‘Disinformation’ Agreement

Senior European Union officials were furious over the weekend after Twitter owner Elon Musk pulled the social media platform out of the bloc’s “Code of Practice,” which critics say is tantamount to a censorship regime.

The EU’s internal market commissioner, Thierry Breton, wrote that Twitter left the bloc’s Code of Practice, after reports claimed the platform would do so. Breton warned that Twitter would face some legal liabilities.

“Twitter leaves EU voluntary Code of Practice against disinformation. But obligations remain. You can run, but you can’t hide,” Breton wrote. “Beyond voluntary commitments, fighting disinformation will be legal obligation under #DSA as of August 25. Our teams will be ready for enforcement.”

How to Counter a Communist Takeover: Unrestricted Warfare With Investigator Brian O’Shea

“How would I destroy America if I were America’s enemy?” hypothesized investigator and combat expert Brian O’Shea.

“I might look at Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield and say, wow, 42, 48 days — perfect war. We can’t fight these Americans kinetically, traditionally. So then I backed up and say, but how could I fight them? I might look beyond that and say, look at what the sanctions did to Iraq. Look at what the non-kinetic means of warfare did to Iraq. Financial damage, embargoes, you name it, brought them to their knees.”

So essentially, as Mr. O’Shea detailed, you don’t want to attack a superpower head-on; you want to weaken them from within.

Senate Republicans Press FBI to Investigate Pentagon Official Who Allegedly Leaked Classified Information

Senate Republicans are pressing the FBI to investigate whether Colin Kahl, the Pentagon’s top policy official, disclosed classified information to the public, according to a May 22 letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray.

The senators said their concerns have grown after Kahl reportedly leaked classified information about Chinese spy balloons to “deflect blame about the Biden administration’s mishandling” of a similar spy balloon in U.S. airspace in February.

They pointed to a March 8 letter by Sens. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), in which Kahl was identified as a source for reports about Chinese spy balloons that may have been flying over the United States during the Trump administration.

IRS Whistleblower in Hunter Biden Tax Probe Reveals Identity, Says IRS ‘Slow-Walked’ Investigation

An insider at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has revealed himself by name for the first time after filing an anonymous whistleblower disclosure about the agency’s handling of an alleged investigation into President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

Attorney Mark D. Lytle of Nixon Peabody LLP revealed the whistleblower complaint in an April 19 letter (pdf) to members of Congress. Since then, Lytle and the whistleblower advocacy group Empower Oversight have alleged retaliation against the then-unnamed IRS agent.

Christian Students Sue Professor, Claim She Forced Them to Pay $99 to Fund Left-Wing Activism

Two Christian students at Michigan State University are suing a former professor, alleging that she forced them and hundreds of other students to pay a $99 membership fee to her own left-wing activist group as part of the course requirements.

In a complaint (pdf) filed last week in a federal court in Grand Rapids, Michigan, second-year business students Nathan Barbieri and Nolan Randomski said they enrolled in a required business communication course taught by Amy Wisner this spring.

Wisner, who described herself as “a single mom by choice, speaker, author, rebel professor, and social justice warrior” on a mission to “cancel the Patriarchy,” required that each of her roughly 600 students pay $99 to sign up for an online group called “The Rebellion Community.”

Trump to Join Fox News’ Sean Hannity for 2nd Town Hall

Former President Donald Trump, the current frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, is set to partake in a town hall hosted by Fox News next week, NTD has learned.

A spokesperson for the network confirmed with NTD early Friday that the event is set to be pre-taped in Clive, Iowa, on June 1 and air at 9 p.m. ET later that day.

The town hall will be moderated by Sean Hannity, host of the cable news channel’s primetime program, “The Sean Hannity Show.” During the town hall, Hannity will take questions from the audience and speak about a range of topics related to the 2024 presidential race.

Earlier this month, Trump appeared on CNN for the first time in several years to participate in a town hall held at Saint Anselm College. It marked Trump’s first appearance on CNN since before he became president in 2016. It was also the first major televised event of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Throughout the event, Trump presented his vision for the country as he fielded questions from the audience and a CNN moderator, who asked the former commander-in-chief what he would do to tackle skyrocketing prices, the nation’s debt crisis, the U.S. mental health crisis, the Russia–Ukraine war, and more.

Durham to Testify Before House Judiciary Committee on ‘Seriously Flawed’ Russia Probe

Special counsel John Durham will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on his report excoriating the FBI’s “seriously flawed” investigation of whether former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, The Epoch Times has confirmed.

The hearing, scheduled for June 21, will follow Durham’s closed-door briefing with the House Intelligence Committee on June 20.

Durham was appointed in October 2020 by then-Attorney General William Barr to conduct an independent inquiry of whether the law was violated by investigators in the Trump-Russia probe, which the FBI internally dubbed “Crossfire Hurricane.”

After nearly three years of investigation, Durham released his much-anticipated report (pdf) on May 15, finding that the FBI failed to uphold its “important mission of strict fidelity to the law” in carrying out its investigation.

That same day, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) sent the special counsel a letter inviting him to testify on his findings at a committee hearing.

DOJ Charges 2 Suspected Chinese Agents for Targeting Falun Gong in US

Federal prosecutors charged two men with attempting to bribe a public official with tens of thousands of dollars in a scheme to help the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) “topple” the persecuted faith group Falun Gong.

John Chen, a 70-year-old U.S. citizen born in China, and Lin Feng, a Chinese citizen aged 43, attempted to “manipulate the IRS Whistleblower Program, through bribery and deceit,” in an attempt to strip a Falun Gong-run entity of its tax-exempt status, according to court filings unsealed on May 26.

The information they submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is “facially deficient and contains rhetoric similar to the propaganda that the PRC Government uses to justify its subjugation and harassment of Falun Gong members,” according to the complaint.

Chen and Feng, who reside in California’s Chino City and Los Angeles respectively, were arrested from their residences early Friday morning, a spokesperson from the FBI Los Angeles field office told The Epoch Times.

The two face charges of conspiracy, bribery, and money laundering. Chen was held without bond, and the U.S. Marshals Service will transport him to New York. Feng’s detention hearing was postponed until June 1. He will remain in custody until then, a spokesman for the United States Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles told The Epoch Times.

US Confident It Can Win a War Over Taiwan: Admiral Aquilino

The United States is confident that it could win in a war defending Taiwan should China choose to mount an invasion, said United States Indo-Pacific Commander, Admiral John C. Aquilino.

“The United States does not choose to escalate, we are not being provocative. That said, I’m confident that we’d be able to fight and win wherever it went,” he said at a panel titled “Preserving a Legacy of Liberty and Peace in the Indo-Pacific” on May 23.

Aquilino, during the event hosted by the National Committee on United States–China Relations, said that Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President Joe Biden have tasked him with two missions.

“The first is to prevent this conflict, and then the second one is if I fail at mission one, to be ready and prepared to fight and win,” he told the attendees. “No matter when it happens,” he added, “the United States military is man trained, equipped, postured, and ready to execute both of those missions.”

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs Vetos Major Election Bills

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed four election-related bills Friday.

The rejected bills would have made a wide range of changes to the Copper State’s election laws on the voter registration system, poll site procedures, and mail-in ballots.

Hobbs’s moves Friday raise her total number of vetos to 99, a number larger than that of any previous Arizona governor.

One of the bills, Senate Bill 1135, proposed to pull Arizona from the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) and move voter registration to “a contracted third party.” The bill also specified that voters must use a blue or black pen to fill the ballot.

Hobbs said ERIC is essential and helps improve election integrity.

“I have vetoed SB 1135. This bill would prohibit Arizona from remaining a part of the Eletronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), which is an essential tool in ensuring accurate voter registration rolls in Arizona and across the country. It is unfortunate that many Republicans in the Legislature … send to my desk a bill that would prevent Arizona from joining organizations that actually help improve the integrity of our elections,” she said in the veto letter.

OPINION – Should You Worry About an EMP Attack?

A good question considering the frightening state of affairs with Russia and Ukraine and how it’s affecting a lot of other countries.

An EMP attack can occur naturally:  Electromagnetic Pulse and Geomagnetic Disturbance:  “Extreme electromagnetic incidents caused by an intentional electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack or a naturally occurring geomagnetic disturbance (GMD), caused by severe space weather, could damage significant portions of the Nation’s critical infrastructure, including the electrical grid, communications equipment, water and wastewater systems, and transportation modes.

“The impacts are likely to cascade, initially compromising one or more critical infrastructure sectors, spilling over into additional sectors, and expanding beyond the initial geographic regions adversely impacting millions of households and businesses.  For these reasons, the potential severity of both the direct and indirect impacts of an EMP or GMD incident compels our national attention.”

A major EMP attack if launched on the Eastern Seaboard would kill millions of Americans in a short period of time.  No power likely for months and that’s not hyperbole.  That means no way to fuel your vehicle, no heat or A/C, grocery stores would be cleaned out in an hour – if one could even get to a store.  Can you imagine 8 MILLION people in NYC all scrambling to try to find food and water?  Or the LA basin with 14 MILLION people?  Hospitals, emergency resources, no power; the list is endless.  Never mind getting your prescription filled or even getting to work.

Has the federal government done anything to address this real threat?  On March 26, 2019, Trump issued an Executive Order:  Executive Order on Coordinating National Resilience to Electromagnetic Pulses which pretty much covers everything.  Every state in the Union has an emergency preparedness division which is a good thing but they also rely on electricity not wind mills or solar panels.

The least prepared are the American people as we’ve seen from past natural disasters. I know money is tight for so many Americans.  Too many are drowning in debt, partially because of inflation but also, poor financial planning.  It’s most unfortunate more Americans of all ages aren’t educated about financial planning for the future.  However, even low-income or fixed income households can balance things out while still preparing for a natural disaster or an act of terrorism.

Second Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks ATF Pistol Brace Rule Ahead of Registration Deadline

A second federal judge has issued a preliminary injunction against enforcement of a new Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) rule that makes pistol stabilizing braces subject to the National Firearms Act of 1934.

According to a statement on the Second Amendment Foundation website, U.S. District Judge Jane Boyle granted a preliminary injunction against the rule in the Foundation’s lawsuit, SAF et al. v. ATF et al. The suit is filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas in Dallas.

Boyle put the case on hold pending action in a separate but related case, Mock v. Garland.

The judge, in that case, denied plaintiffs an injunction on the ATF rule. But granted a partial injunction while they prepared an expedited appeal of that ruling. Lawyers for one of the plaintiffs, the Firearms Policy Coalition, have asked the court to clarify whether the injunction applies only to their case or if it is nationwide.

Check the Price Tag Before Buying a Bottle of Ketchup for Your Memorial Day Barbecue

With Memorial Day approaching, Americans will be purchasing ketchup, mustard, and other condiments en masse—and inflation will play a role.

A 32-ounce bottle of ketchup went from an average of $4.08 for the week of May 16, 2022, to $5.22 for the week of May 15, 2023, according to data that was compiled by Datasembly, which measures grocery price changes in stores across the United States, for CNN and other news outlets. That’s an increase of around 28 percent.

In the same time period, a 20-ounce bottle of mustard went up by 13 percent. Prices for 26-ounce jars of relish were also up 12.3 percent on average, according to the company.

Americans’ Retirement Expectations Keep Dropping Over Economic Worries

The outlook of Americans towards their retirement plans has worsened over the past year according to a recent Gallup poll, with concerns about rising prices and recession sapping away optimism.

The expectations of non-retired Americans for a comfortable retirement are now at their “most pessimistic” level since 2012, falling by 10 percentage points since 2021, said a May 25 survey report. Only 43 percent of respondents now expect to comfortably live during retirement, down from 48 percent in 2022 and 57 percent in 2019 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2002 when the poll began, 59 percent of non-retirees expected to live comfortably post-retirement.

“Between 2002 and 2005 and again from 2017 through 2021, majorities of nonretirees expected a comfortable retirement,” Gallup said.

“But in the years during and after the Great Recession (from 2008 to 2013) and in the past two years amid high inflation and recession fears, less than 50 percent of nonretirees have been optimistic about their retirement.”

Old Navy to Close Downtown San Francisco Location, Joining Retail Exodus

The Old Navy on Market Street near Union Square in downtown San Francisco is closing, joining a retail exodus from the city that is driven by crime, a changing retail market, and the loss of foot traffic in the area.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported Friday:

Gap is closing yet another San Francisco store: the Old Navy on Market Street.

Downtown San Francisco has been the victim of weaker foot traffic due to remote work and lower tourism during the pandemic, along with safety concerns and customers switching to online shopping.

The stretch of Market Street near Union Square has been hard-hit by retail closures: Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack are exiting, along with Saks Off Fifth. A Walgreens next to Old Navy was the site of a fatal shooting, and relatives of the victim, Banko Brown, sued the company and its security firm.

As Breitbart News has reported, there were two other major closures announced last week: Williams-Sonoma left its downtown San Francisco location; and Banana Republic also announced that it is leaving the area, though it is keeping another store open in the city.

State Farm Halts Issuing New Home Insurance Policies in California

Insurance company State Farm is halting new property insurance policies in the state of California as the firm battles inflationary pressures and increasing exposure to wildfire risks.

In California, State Farm will “cease accepting new applications including all business and personal lines property and casualty insurance, effective May 27, 2023,” the firm said in a May 26 statement. The company “made this decision due to historic increases in construction costs outpacing inflation, rapidly growing catastrophe exposure, and a challenging reinsurance market.” State Farm agents will continue to serve existing customers for these insurance products. The decision also does not impact personal auto insurance.

State Farm isn’t the first insurer to cut back on their homeowners business in California. Last year, the American International Group notified its high-net-worth clients that the company would stop renewing their policies.

Several insurers are scaling down their insurance offerings to homeowners due to worries about exposure to wildfires. Most of these cutbacks have taken place in regions of the state considered to be prone to the danger.

Geoengineering Watch Global Alert News, May 27, 2023, #407

And now the weather: “cloudy with showers of plastic” and the “perfect pathogen storm”. Weather whiplash chemical cloud seeding cool-downs are being carried out above the most populated portions of the US while much of the world bakes and burns. Though the northern latitude cyclone season has only just begun, the most powerful category 5 storm in years is already wreaking havoc over record warm seas. Polar meltdown is rapidly thawing as many as 10,000 toxic sites that power structures pretended would remain frozen forever. Vast portions of Earth are already becoming “uninhabitable”, and above it all climate engineering operations are raging. Brace for impact, the sand in the hourglass is running down fast. The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

Jane Fonda Blames Men for Climate Change: ‘We Have to Arrest and Jail Those Men’

Hollywood star Jane Fonda made the outrageous claim Friday that climate change is being caused exclusively by men, specifically white men, adding that “those men” must be arrested and jailed.

She also blamed the “patriarchy” and “racism” for global warming.

GARDENING, FARMING & HOMESTEADING

Scientists Create Lab-Grown Frankenfish

The foundation for food manufacturers’ promotion of “Frankenfood” is the claim that lab-grown, plant-based, or 3D-printed meat and fish are humane, sustainable and environmentally friendly methods of food production. Yet, what the industry never talks about are the energy and water consumption required for these laboratory creations and the possible effects on human health.

What the fake meat industry doesn’t tell you is that their products are not healthy alternatives to natural meat, but are just another name for ultraprocessed food, filled with genetically engineered and pesticide-laden ingredients designed to look as much like meat as possible. Scientific evidence demonstrates that consuming ultraprocessed food can shorten your lifespan and increase your risk for chronic disease.1,2

One of the key players in this agricultural agenda is the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Bill Gates’ desire for the widespread adoption of synthetic meat is tied to controlling the food supply. When asked whether he thinks plant-based and lab-grown meats could be a global solution to protein, he said that in poor countries “we’ll have to use animal genetics,” and in middle- to above-income countries, yes, and that people can “get used” to it.3

Bill Gates owns more farmland in the U.S. than any other private farmer, having purchased 270,000 acres — much of it considered some of the richest soil in the U.S. — in the past few years.4 The future of that farmland remains to be seen. Currently, Gates acts as a landlord and lets the farmers continue to work the land, “even if those practices are ruinous to the environment.”5

It’s worth noting that when you own the land, you also own the water that’s beneath it, and with his vast amounts of land, he can grow all the genetically engineered soy necessary to create the fake meat he wants the world to be eating.

For those who control resources like food and water, control of the food supply is part of “building back better,” and the power is limitless. Fake meats are not about your health or the environment; they are a tool to phase out farmers, ranchers and fishermen and replace them with a controllable ultraprocessed food product.

Not only is ultraprocessed lab-grown meat not a healthy choice, but its production is plagued with environmental and contamination concerns. Ironically, the real wave of the future won’t be found through technology, but through the return to regenerative farming practices that have been time-tested and valued across the ages.

Using Dandelions: 31+ Recipes & Remedies

Dandelions are pretty much the unofficial mascots for foraging and herbal medicine. They can be found on every continent (except Antarctica) and have tremendous value as food and medicine. They invade lawns, fields, and waste spaces despite every effort to control, contain, and kill them.

Dandelions are survivors, and they pass on a little of that to us when we consume them.

John Kerry: Farm Confiscations ‘Not Off The Table’

Small farms are significant emitters of nitrogen, according to Biden’s “climate czar” John Kerry who is pushing for the U.S. federal government to crack down on farming in America to combat “global warming.”

Kerry insists that the United States must massively reduce farming to meet the radical “green agenda” goals laid out by World Economic Forum (WEF) and the United Nations (UN).

According to the former Secretary of State, the world can’t tackle climate change without first addressing the agriculture sector’s emissions – and farmers in the US are front and center of his plans.

“A lot of people have no clue that agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world,” he said during his keynote address. “We can’t get to net-zero, we don’t get this job done unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution. So all of us understand here the depths of this mission.”

Delivering these remarks at the Agriculture Innovation Mission (AIM) for Climate Summit held in Washington, D.C., Kerry neglected to acknowledge the undeniable fact that the agriculture industry plays a vital role in providing sustenance and ensuring the survival of all approximately 8 billion people worldwide.

In recent months, leaders in Western countries have significantly intensified their criticisms of the farming sector.

In the Netherlands, regarded as a testing ground for the World Economic Forum’s anti-farming agenda, the Dutch government has been implementing initiatives to seize farmland.

The Dutch government’s proposal to confiscate and close down numerous farms to comply with the objectives outlined in the global climate agenda has received support from the European Union (EU).

The unelected European Commission in Brussels has endorsed a plan by Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who is a contributing member of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Recently, the governing body of the European Union officially endorsed measures to compel farmers to vacate their lands as part of the EU’s Natura 2000 scheme, which categorizes farms as significant emitters of nitrogen.

Under the plan, farmers would be offered 120 percent of their farm’s value through a “buyout” program. However, those who decline this offer would face the risk of being forcibly removed from their land without any financial compensation.

If this plan proves to be successful, it is likely to be replicated in other countries due to its alignment with the WEF’s global environmental agenda.

Changes in Gut Bacteria May Cause Parkinson’s: Study

Research links disruptions in the microbiome to Parkinson’s and implicates Desulfovibrio bacteria’s metabolic processes

A recent study reveals a potential connection between Parkinson’s disease and the gut microbiome, suggesting that infection with a specific bacteria, known as Desulfovibrio, contributes to developing the degenerative brain disorder.

Researchers at the University of Helsinki observed that the presence of these bacterial strains in Parkinson’s patients could lead to the aggregation of alpha-synuclein, a protein closely associated with the disease.

Largest US Children’s Hospital Will No Longer Offer Transgender Medical Procedures: CEO

Texas Children’s Hospital, the nation’s largest children’s hospital, will no longer offer transgender medical procedures for children, according to the hospital’s CEO Mark Wallace.

The decision will place the hospital in compliance with legislation, Senate Bill 14, which passed in a vote mainly along party lines on May 11.

Just Say No to Statins

Widespread myths about lowering your cholesterol with statins to improve your heart health still permeate modern medicine

A comprehensive review of the literature, published in 2018, found that LDL cholesterol does not cause heart disease, so statins’ ability to lower LDL is of dubious value

Over a five-year period, taking a statin once you’ve had a heart attack will only increase your life expectancy by four days

Just like COVID-19, they manipulated the statistics and grossly exaggerated statin benefits by conflating relative and absolute risks. If you take a statin, your chance of a heart attack is only 1.1% lower than if you’re not taking it: that is your absolute, not relative, risk

Even though public health perpetuates the notion that lower LDL cholesterol is better, there’s no consistent relationship between lowering LDL with statins and death, heart attack or stroke

The Many Health Benefits of Fennel

Common fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a perennial plant in the carrot family that is grown for the edible leaves, shoots, seeds and bulbs. It’s likely the plant was first cultivated in Israel,1 and is believed to have been part of Jewish meals since biblical times. The plant is native to the Mediterranean area, where the seeds are used as a spice, insect repellent and medicine, and the shoots and feathery fronds are added to salad.

Pliny the Elder mentions fennel several times in his encyclopedia, “Natural History,” as a treatment for uterine health, stomach aches, and to care for “stings of serpents.”2 Although the plant has become an invasive species in parts of the U.S., it can be grown in pots, which may help contain the spread.3

The plant appreciates cool weather and temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit can induce bolting, or premature seeding.4 It likes full sun, well-draining soil and should be planted in the early spring or fall months. If the seed heads are collected before they shatter, it may also help prevent the spread of the plant. Although the plant can reach 6 feet in height, it often is ready for harvest when it’s shorter than that.5

Traditionally, the medicinal value of fennel has benefited nursing women and people with gastrointestinal disorders; it has even been used as a mild diuretic to help reduce edema. However, some people don’t like the licorice-like flavor of the fennel plant, which tastes like anise.

The combination of nutrients in fennel seed offers mild diuretic properties, which may be one of the reasons weight loss formulas include the seed.11 In the past, it’s been used as an appetite suppressant and has been incorporated into natural remedies to treat dry, hacking coughs, as well as asthma, pneumonia and bronchitis.

Fennel seed also has anti-infective properties effective against conjunctivitis. A decoction of the seed strained through a paper filter has been used as an eye wash for sore and bloodshot eyes. The essential oil derived from fennel seed has been useful to improve energy levels and incorporated into facial products for mature skin. This includes soaps, creams and lotions.

Kaempferol and quercetin are ubiquitous polyphenols in fruit and vegetables,12 which are beneficial in the fight against cardiovascular disease, which remains the leading cause of death worldwide. Fennel leaves have higher levels of quercetin in milligrams per 100 gm of fresh weight than other plant sources tested, except for dill.

Most Important Medical History Lesson We Must Never Forget

The video above features a compilation of some of the most absurd COVID narratives we were indoctrinated with over the past three years. For example, “No one is safe until everyone is safe” was one of several lies we heard repeated across media platforms.

First of all, there were and are vast differences in risk depending on your age and general medical history, and this was evident within weeks of the outbreak. Secondly, the data showed that 99.5% of the population would survive COVID.

So, the reality was the complete opposite of this fabricated PR campaign slogan. Had we been told the truth, we would have been told that “Most of us are safe,” rather than “None of us are safe.”

Washington Doctor Facing Probe for Criticizing COVID Policies Wins Emergency Injunction

A Washington state appeals court has granted an emergency injunction to a retired doctor facing disciplinary action from the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) over articles he wrote against the official COVID-19 narrative in 2021.

Dr. Richard J. Eggleston, a retired ophthalmologist in Clarkston, Washington, faces disciplinary action over articles published in the Lewiston Tribune he wrote challenged the prevailing information and guidance regarding the pandemic.

During the pandemic, doctors could be accused of spreading misinformation if they provided advice contrary to the official information. This included, for example, advocating or prescribing treatments such as ivermectin or disagreeing with the effectiveness of face masks and vaccines.

Over 300 COVID-19 Papers Withdrawn for Not Meeting Standards of Scientific Soundness

Research journals have withdrawn well over 300 articles on COVID-19 due to compromised ethical standards and concerns about the publications’ scientific validity.

Retraction Watch has provided a running list of withdrawn papers on COVID-19 ranging from “Acute kidney injury associated with COVID-19” to “Can Your AI Differentiate Cats from COVID-19?”

New York, in Sudden Reversal, to Drop COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Health Care Workers

New York officials are rescinding a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers that led to thousands being fired.

Lawyers for the state announced the sudden move during a hearing on May 24 in a case brought by doctors who faced termination for not getting vaccinated.

“Due to the changing landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic and evolving vaccine recommendations, the New York State Department of Health has begun the process of repealing the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for workers at regulated health care facilities,” the state health department stated.

EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Policy Exposes Fox News Stances on Woke Ideology

Fox News employees are allowed to use bathrooms that align with their gender identity, rather than their biological sex, and permitted to dress in alignment with their preferred gender. They must also be addressed by their preferred name and pronouns in the workplace.

These are just a few of the policies outlined in the company handbook, dated January 2021, a copy of which was shared with The Daily Signal. Fox also offers to help employees come up with a “Workplace Transition Plan” to ease their gender transition at work.

The revelations comes amid conservative consternation at Fox Digital’s use of activist language like “gender affirming care” in stories on its website, as well as the site’s consistent use of female pronouns for biological males like TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney and swimmer Lia Thomas (formerly known as Will Thomas).

Fox also drew strong backlash for a June 2022 on-air segment praising a child’s gender transition as an “inspiration to others.” That segment briefly depicted California state Sen. Scott Weiner, a far-left Democrat who led the move to soften sex offender registry requirements for sodomy with minors, and highlighted the activist claim that a child might commit suicide if he or she is not permitted to transition.

About 1 Million Viewers Stopped Watching Fox News After Tucker Carlson’s Exit: Report

An analysis of primetime ratings shows that Fox News has seen an approximate decline of 1 million total viewers on average for its primetime lineup after the departure of Tucker Carlson in late April.

In the four weeks before Carlson left the network, Fox News’ primetime hours averaged some 2.6 million total viewers. But in the four weeks after his departure, those hours are down to just 1.6 million viewers, a decline in 39 percent, according to an analysis from Mediaite.

The 8 p.m. hour that Carlson used to have also declined significantly, according to ratings. Carlson had averaged some 3.2 million viewers in the weeks before he left, but the replacement show—”Fox News Tonight”—is down to 1.49 million viewers on average.

Calls for Boycott of North Face Grow After Company Uses Drag Queen in Ads

As Target deals with a boycott after featuring pro-LBGT clothing for children, some prominent conservatives on social media are targeting another company for its clothes.

North Face, the maker of jackets and hiking clothing, launched a campaign with a drag queen for its “Summer of Pride” ad blitz.

In a post, a drag queen says he’s a “real-life homosexual” and is here “with the North Face to help you out,” drawing a bevy of negative reactions on Twitter and other social media platforms.

Backlash & Boycott-Calls Hit North Face After Ad Featuring Drag Queen Inviting Everyone To ‘Come Out’

A North Face advertisement featuring a drag queen in rainbow-themed outdoor sports gear has sparked backlash after going viral online. The popular outdoor apparel company has learned nothing from mounting customer boycotts against Bud Light and Target in recent weeks

“Hi, it’s me, Pattie Gonia, a real-life homosexual,” drag queen and self-described environmentalist and community organizer Pattie Gonia said in The North Face ad, adding, “Today I’m here with the North Face. We are here to invite you to come out … in nature with us!”

“We like to call this little tour, the Summer of Pride. This tour has everything: hiking, community, art, lesbians, lesbians making art. Last year we gay sashayed across the nation and celebrated pride,” the drag queen continued.

Commenters on the video were mixed. One person said, “Did you learn nothing from Budweiser?”

“Sexual preference doesn’t need to be showcased in every single brand to sell stuff,” another user wrote.

“Y’all gonna learn reallllll quick. You push an agenda that goes against THE MAJORITY OF your customers values, you gonna lose customers. You’re digging your own grave that’s what doesn’t make sense to me,” someone else said.

Most Major Retailers Are Carrying LGBT, Pride Merchandise for Children

As Target continues to endure backlash over its newly launched “Pride” line of clothing and merchandise for kids, the retail giant is not alone in carrying woke wares for children and teens.

Similar items that have prompted some to call for the “Bud Light treatment” of Target can also be found at Walmart, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Old Navy, The Gap, Apple, and many more.

North Face, a popular go-to for high-quality outdoor gear, has taken what some see as an especially deep dive into retail radicalism with its “Summer of Pride” campaign.

Tracy Holmes, who lives in central Pennsylvania, told The Epoch Times her reaction when she first saw ads for the campaign was, “You have gotta be kidding me.”

“It’s at a sheer level of narcissistic pandering,” said Holmes, a mother of four, including two teenagers. “It’s not only ridiculous—it’s infuriating and insulting. Women don’t act that way.”

Target Donated Millions of Dollars to Group That Promotes LGBT Activism in Schools

In the wake of an ongoing customer backlash against Target, the retail chain’s longtime partnership with a national activist group that places LGBT-themed books in K-12 school libraries and encourages teachers to discuss sex and gender with children has gained renewed attention.

Over the past decade, the New York City-based Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) has received from Target more than $2 million in donations, according to the company’s website.

“Target donated $250,000 donation to GLSEN to advance its mission of creating affirming, accessible and antiracist spaces for LGBTQIA+ students,” the retail giant said last year in a blog post celebrating Pride Month. “This marks our 11th year of partnership, with a total of $2.1 million in support to date.”

Founded in 1990 by a teacher-turned-gay activist who would later oversee the Obama administration’s school drug and violence prevention program, GLSEN bills itself as a “leading national organization working to guarantee LGBTQ+ students safe and affirming education,” with 43 chapters in 30 states across the nation.

Bud Light Sponsors Cincinnati Pride Parade as Sales Plummet with Boycott

Anheuser-Busch’s Bud Light is one the brands sponsoring the upcoming Cincinnati Pride Parade as the brand’s sales continue to plummet following a boycott after the company partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

As the New York Post reported:

A glance at the list of sponsors on the event’s website reveals that the Anheuser-Busch brand is lending its name to the annual event, which will be held on June 24.

The image on the page shows a rainbow-colored bottle of Bud Light next to a glass of beer under the heading “Together in Pride.”

Other sponsors of the Cincinnati Pride Parade include Planned Parenthood, Toyota, and Kroger, among others.

Report: Bud Light 24-Packs Drop to $3.49 as Mulvaney Boycott Tanks Sales

Bud Light sales fell for the sixth consecutive week as the nationwide boycott continued over the beer company’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

One store, according to the New York Post, is charging $3.49 for a 24-pack — about $0.15 for one can — to get rid of unwanted beer.

Pro-Transgender Mom Says Target Caved to Terrorists by Moving Pride Displays

Executives at Target blamed “threats” for their decision to hide their displays of pride products, leading to a pro-transgender mother claiming the executives have caved to “terrorists.”

“I just walked into Target and right behind me here — where you see all these lovely swimsuits — that’s where the pride display used to be,” Rachelle Lefevre, a left-wing actress who describes herself as a pro-transgender (she/her) with a “non-binary” seven-year-old, said in an Instagram post. She continued:

And because when some people complained and threw some stuff to the ground — or I don’t know what happened — they have moved to the pride section to the back of the store. … We could do so much better than this. We’re not supposed to negotiate with terrorists. We can do so much better than this.

Father Blasts Skiing Competition Officials After Daughter Loses to Trans Athlete

The father of a high school girl who lost a skiing competition to a boy claiming to be a transgender girl is speaking out.

Male-born student June Watterson won a ski competition and ranked number one in the High School State Champions women’s slalom race on March 6 at the California-Nevada Interscholastic Ski & Snowboard Federation (CNISSF) state finals. But one father was not at all happy about the big win.

I live in my car with my pets – there’s no shower or toilet but we save money

She’s a real ruff rider.

A Western Canadian TikToker recently shared that she’s opted to live inside her Tesla Model Y with her cat, Finley, and Samoyed dog, Snow.

Stephanie, known on social media as Little Hippy Gal, rigged the rig to fit a twin bed in its back seat and uses every inch of the electric vehicle for storage of everyday items.

“I’ve actually got lots of space,” she says in a video tour of her nearly 50,000-mile red car, which she calls Roxanne.

“Because we’re in a Tesla, we actually have two trunks, so this is one of them — this one has my doggy blow dryer, my lawn chair, my solar panel, as well as a fold-down kennel, figure skates and a few other miscellaneous items like my winter coat.”

Turns Out Humans Kind of Suck at Recognizing the Signs of Dog Aggression

You know when your dog is happy or playful, when they desperately want a bite of your snack or a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. You know their expressions and their moods and could easily pick your pup out of a lineup of similar-looking dogs. You may even pride yourself on knowing your dog better than you know anyone else. And if you wake up every day thinking that your human friends might be mad at you for some reason (as many millennials do), at least you can always count on dogs to be on your side. Right? Right?

The reality is you may not know your dog quite as well as you think you do. A December 2022 study led by the DogStudies research group at the Max Planck Institute of Geoanthropology found that humans aren’t the best at recognizing aggression in dogs — or even in other humans. This lack of recognition can lead to serious danger, especially when approaching a strange dog.

The Wildest spoke to Dr. Juliane Bräuer, DogStudies Research Group Leader and senior author of the research article, to explore why you may be misinterpreting one of your dog’s biggest emotions.

Want a lighthouse? U.S. is auctioning or giving away 10 of them

Ten lighthouses that for generations have stood like sentinels along America’s shorelines protecting mariners from peril and guiding them to safety are being given away at no cost or sold at auction by the federal government.

The aim of the program run by the General Services Administration is to preserve the properties, most of which are more than a century old.

The development of modern technology, including GPS, means lighthouses are no longer essential for navigation, said John Kelly of the GSA’s office of real property disposition. And while the Coast Guard often maintains aids to navigation at or near lighthouses, the structures themselves are often no longer mission critical.

Yet the public remains fascinated by the beacons, which are popular tourist attractions and the subject of countless photographers and artists.

“People really appreciate the heroic role of the solitary lighthouse keeper,” he said, explaining their allure. “They were really the instruments to provide safe passage into some of these perilous harbors which afforded communities great opportunities for commerce, and they’re often located in prominent locations that offer breathtaking views.”

‘Our Children Do Not Chain Us—They Give Us Opportunities,’ Says a Military Mom Who Homeschools Her 3 Kids

Native New Yorker Meg Thompson knew homeschooling her three kids would be the best way to give her family the flexibility to adapt to her military husband’s “atypical work” and spend more time together.

Now seeing her kids thrive, she hopes to empower other parents to take the lead on their children’s education.

Trilateral Commissioner Henry Kissinger Turns 100, Still Not Held Accountable

Henry Kissinger, whose very name is synonymous with US diplomacy, turns 100 Saturday feted by the American elite as others seethe that the ruthless Cold Warrior has never faced accountability.

From opening the door to communist China to plotting an endgame to the Vietnam War to unapologetically backing dictators who were anti-Soviet, Kissinger wielded influence like few before or after him, serving as both top diplomat and security advisor to presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

Instantly recognizable for his bookishly thick glasses and a sharp-witted monotone that never lost a touch of his native German, Kissinger was first an academic and his intellectual gifts are acknowledged begrudgingly even by some of his harshest critics.

Since leaving office in 1977, Kissinger’s brand of realpolitik — the coldly cynical championing of power and national interests — has largely fallen out of favor as his successors preached moralism, but Kissinger himself has if anything enjoyed greater repute.

Ahead of his centennial, Kissinger blew candles on a cake at a celebratory luncheon at the Economic Club of New York, the city where he grew up after his Jewish family fled Nazi Germany.

Shark attacks American tourist in Turks and Caicos, police say

A shark attacked a 22-year-old woman from Connecticut while she was snorkeling at a resort in Turks and Caicos Wednesday, according to a release from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force.

The woman was snorkeling with a friend around 3 p.m. local time when a shark attacked them, police said. A resort employee then called police for an ambulance, according to the release.

The employee told police that the victim “had her leg bitten off by a shark,” the release said.

Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, along with an ambulance, arrived on the scene and took the woman to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre, where she remains in serious condition, police said.

Big Blue Collective, an eco-adventures and water sports company in the Turks and Caicos Islands, said in a statement on Thursday, “The calm, quick and measured response from one of our captains and office team meant that the victim was extracted from the ocean and dispatched in the ambulance in 15 minutes, saving them from a potentially life-threatening situation.”

The company called the attack, which it said happened in clear, calm waters, “unfortunate” and “what is known in diving circles as a case of mistaken identity,” according to the statement.

The victim and her friend were on a private trip aboard a private vessel unrelated to one of Big Blue Collective’s excursions at the time of the attack by a presumed Caribbean reef shark, the company’s statement said.

OPINION: America’s Way of Life Threatened

Even when I was a little kid, I understood that because I was born in this great nation I was extremely blessed. Seeing how people had to live in other nations, pitiful homes, lack of food and water, virtually no education, ancient forms of transportation, dictatorial governments, and so many other things that make life miserable but here in America we had it all. As a child, I could not even imagine a life of that nature. Today I see a much different America. Yes, we still have prosperity, nice houses, and a modern mode of transportation but the regime that is in power now wants to bring all of that to a screeching halt.

We are seeing stupidity reign in our seats of power. Things that you would never even think about fifty years ago are going mainstream now. The absolute perversion in our schools with drag shows, porn in the libraries, and the character of teachers that are allowed to ‘teach’ our kids is appalling. Teachers that we have today would be in jail in my day and they should be today as well. Our teachers’ unions have taken the stand that parents have no right to determine what their children learn. Eve some politicians feel the same way. In the final debate before the election, while discussing parents who have objected to sexually explicit material in Fairfax County schools, McAuliffe made a shocking statement: “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

While McAuliffe’s statement has been seen by some as just another political gaffe with no deeper meaning, it seems far more likely that it was, in fact, a rare moment of honesty.

Education Extremism Rising

Over the past year, it has become clear that McAuliffe’s statement represents a widely held attitude towards parents’ role in their child’s education. Further, many now believe that the role of government in education is not merely to teach children, but to shape them.[1]

Boys are using girls’ locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers while the girls are in the rooms. One school in Pennsylvania tried to force a boy to undress with girls because he was ‘intolerant’ about biological boys using the girls’ locker room.  The left gets more insane by the day. A Pennsylvania high school requires that an 11th grade boy undresses with girls to promote tolerance. Yes, you read that right.

Here is more, per Breitbart:

A teenage boy and his parents have filed a lawsuit against a Pennsylvania high school saying that administrators tried to shame the boy for being “intolerant” and demanded that he undress with girls in the school locker room to “make it seem natural.”

The lawsuit, filed by Alliance Defending Freedom and Independence Law Center (ILC), is alleging that the Boyertown Area School District in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, sexually harassed the plaintiff.[2] This is perversion on steroids.

Some schools have ‘teachers’ that believe that the parents have no rights over a child once they walk into a school building. Jenna Barbee, a 5th grade teacher at Winding Waters K-8 school in Spring Hill, Florida who showed her students an LGBT-themed Disney movie said parents are “ignorant” and have no rights.
