W.H.O. Says Monkeypox Is Racist: Decrees ‘Mpox’ as Alternative

The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) has dismissed the term monkeypox as inherently racist, decreeing “mpox” should be used instead when referring to the virus as a way of sparing the feelings and easing the stigma of those enduring an attack.

The Geneva, Switzerland-based organization said the move had been prompted by concerns not just over implied racism inferred by anyone who uses the term but lamented it stigmatized sufferers earlier this year when the term gained common usage.

Cashless: Now India Is Testing Retail Central Bank Digital Currency

We recently reported that the Federal Reserve plans to launch a 12-week pilot program in partnership with several large commercial banks to test the feasibility of a central bank digital currency (CBDC). The US isn’t alone in experimenting with digital currency. India is working on developing a digital rupee and recently announced the second phase of testing.

After successfully running a pilot program to test its digital currency at the wholesale level, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced it will test the digital rupee in a retail setting.

According to the RBI, the central bank digital currency “is a legal tender issued by a central bank in a digital form. It is the same as a fiat currency and is exchangeable one-to-one with the fiat currency. Only its form is different.”

Digital currencies are similar to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. They exist as virtual banknotes or coins held in a digital wallet on your computer or smartphone. The difference between a government digital currency and bitcoin is the value of the digital currency is backed and controlled by the state, just like traditional fiat currency.

As the RBI put it, “Unlike cryptocurrencies, a CBDC isn’t a commodity or claims on commodities or digital assets. Cryptocurrencies have no issuer. They are not money (certainly not currency) as the word has come to be understood historically.”

According to a report in the Economic Times of India, the National Payments Corporation of India will host the platform for the digital rupee payment system during the testing phase. The Reserve Bank of India wants each commercial bank in the pilot to test retail use of the digital rupee with 10,000 to 50,000 users.

The UN Wants Trillions $$ Per Year Plus A ‘Transformation Of The World’s Financial System’

The would be King-Emperors of the world don’t just want to transform energy and change the weather, they also want to rebuild the entire financial system, no doubt to put the UN at the centre of the rivers of money.

Make no mistake, the lauded “loss and damages” fantasy plan was but a shiny bauble to distract you. The bigger ambit is to get the West to pay for the whole world to become a solar and windmill paradise and — “obviously” that means they have to rebuild the entire world’s financial system. (They actually say that).

Consider the numbers: The combined loss and damages claim for 55 countries over twenty years amounts to just $525 billion or a paltry $26 billion a year. But building all the useless renewable farms will supposedly require at least USD 4-6 trillion a year in investments.

Sensible investors will notice that it is 200 times as expensive to try to control the weather with windmills as it is to pay for all the current (theoretical) damage. Sadly, nobody is talking about sensible investments.

The UN announcement comes dressed up in a headline about the paltry Christmas fantasy payments to the third world. But a few paragraphs in are the “other details” about payments that are larger than most national GDP’s and the naked desire for the UN to be the conduit for the cash.

Huge Protests Erupt in China’s Xinjiang Over Strict Zero-COVID Curbs

Massive protests erupted in China’s far western Xinjiang region on Friday as long-simmering frustrations over the country’s strict COVID-19 policies hit a boiling point when claims circulated online blaming lockdown restrictions for hindering escape from a deadly apartment building fire.

Multiple videos said to be from the Xinjiang capital of Urumqi and shared on social media painted a picture of residents furious at the draconian “zero-COVID” policies imposed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Crowds chanted “End the lockdown!” pumping their fists in the air as they walked down a street, according to videos circulated on social media.

What sounded like gunfire was heard in a video said to be from an Uyghur district in the city.

Residents carrying the CCP’s flag gathered outside a local government building in Urumqi, chanting for lockdowns to be lifted, with some heard chanting “let’s die together,” according to a video shared on social media.

Mexico’s president leads massive march in support of his government

Hundreds of thousands of people marched in Mexico’s capital Sunday in a show of support for President Manuel López Obrador, who before assuming the presidency had led some of the country’s biggest protests.

The “people’s march” marked four years in office for the leftist leader and was a response to a large opposition march two weeks ago to protest López Obrador’s proposal to reform the country’s electoral authority.

The president himself led Sunday’s march through central Mexico City, which was accompanied by mariachi music, singing and a festive atmosphere. Many participants had been bused in from provinces across Mexico in trips organized by the ruling Morena party, unions and social groups.

“Effective suffrage, effective democracy, and no to re-election,” he said in a speech after the march in which he repeated his slogans of favoring the poor and fighting the oligarchy.

The opposition insisted that many participants were forced to join the march, but López Obrador said he had not put “a penny” of the federal budget into the march. Demonstrators questioned said they had come voluntarily.

White House Responds After Protests Erupt Across China Over ‘Zero-COVID’ Rules

The White House’s COVID-19 response coordinator Ashish Jha said that the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) “zero-COVID” strategy is unrealistic amid the largest protests across China in decades.

Thousands of demonstrators came out in Shanghai, Beijing, Urumqi, Wuhan, Chengdu, and other major Chinese cities over CCP-mandated lockdowns, mandatory COVID-19 tests, mask orders, and other rules. The CCP officially has pursued a “zero-COVID” policy for months and has shown no signs of stopping.

In some areas, protesters chanted: “Xi Jinping! Step down! CCP! Step down!” Police in Shanghai, Beijing, and other major cities were called in to break up the demonstrations.

“I think it’s going to be very, very difficult for China to be able to contain this through their zero-COVID strategy,” Jha, who was a Newsmax contributor before he was named to his White House position, told ABC News on Sunday in response to the unprecedented protests in China. “We don’t think that’s realistic, certainly not realistic for the American people,” he added.

Jha then claimed that vaccinations “particularly for the elderly” are the “path out of this virus.” He continued, “Lockdown and zero-COVID is going to be very difficult to sustain.”

In the early hours of Monday in Beijing, two groups of protesters totaling at least 1,000 people were gathered along the Chinese capital’s 3rd Ring Road near the Liangma River, refusing to disperse, according to the Reuters news agency.

“We don’t want masks, we want freedom. We don’t want COVID tests, we want freedom,” one of the groups chanted.

On Saturday, a vigil in Shanghai for victims of the apartment fire turned into a protest against COVID curbs, with the crowd chanting calls for lockdowns to be lifted.

“Down with the Chinese Communist Party,” one large group chanted in the early hours of Sunday, according to witnesses and videos posted on social media, in a rare public protest against the CCP.

Is the Ukraine War a Money Laundering Scheme?

Many have suspected that the U.S. government’s “security assistance” to Ukraine — which as of November 15, 2022, had surpassed $98 billion — is a money laundering scheme, perhaps relating to questionable activities involving American biolabs in Ukraine

With the sudden implosion of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX, suspicions of money laundering in Ukraine are gaining fresh support

FTX’s founder, Sam Bankman-Fried — suspected of having absconded with $1 billion to $2 billion of client funds as the exchange went belly-up in mid-November — was a top donor to the Democratic Party, second only to George Soros, and had ties to the World Economic Forum

FTX partnered with Ukraine to help them raise funds for the war effort. Some believe the foreign aid the Ukrainian government received from the U.S. was put into FTX, which then turned around and donated money back to Democratic candidates

An estimated $200 million were raised for Ukraine and distributed through FTX to a bank in Ukraine, but records show the Ukrainian government only used $22 million of that money. The remaining $178 million appears to have vanished, leading people to suspect it was laundered back to the United States

Merriam-Webster Word of the Year: ‘Gaslighting’

The Merriam-Webster dictionary has declared “gaslighting” to be the word of the year for 2022, as searches for the term skyrocketed — though there was no specific incident or usage of the word to spark the sudden interest.

The term refers to the practice of intentionally deceiving someone by telling them that the state of the world is not what they perceive it to be. The term is used often in online political debates to accuse opponents of lying.

Rep. Adam Schiff Says Jan. 6 Committee Will ‘Scrub’ Evidence Before Final Report

Outgoing House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said the Jan. 6 committee will have to “scrub” some evidence from its final report before Republicans take over the house in 2023.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, Schiff was asked by anchor Dana Bash about Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) becoming chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee and will “go through the evidence you left out … you’re saying that there won’t be evidence that will not be made public?”

“The evidence will all be made public,” Schiff told Bash in response. “Now, we will have to make sure that we scrub that evidence for personally identifiable information, that the evidence that we provide protects people’s security, it doesn’t put them at risk. So, there are things that we’re going to have to do along those lines.”

Republicans Won 3 Million More Votes Than Democrats, but Not Where It Counted

Republican House candidates gained over 3 million more votes than Democrats in the Nov. 8 midterm elections, but barely secured a GOP majority in the lower chamber.

Recent data published by the Cook Political Report show that Republicans lead by some 3.5 million votes when all 435 House races are combined. As of Friday morning, Republicans had 54.13 million votes as compared with Democrats’ 50.79 million votes.

With several races called this week, the GOP has 220 seats to Democrats’ 213, giving Republicans the majority. Two House races—one in Colorado and one in California—remain uncalled, although Republicans are leading in both.

But Democrats were able to maintain their majority in the Senate with at least 50 seats and are waiting for the conclusion of the Georgia Senate runoff to determine if the upper chamber be an even 50–50 split or not. Vice President Kamala Harris would cast the tie-breaking vote for Democrats if that is the case.

Republicans did not pick up seats in several Senate battleground states—including Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Nevada, and Arizona. However, a closely contested race in Wisconsin went in favor of Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

“Simply put, Republicans picked up the votes they needed, just not where they needed them most,” Charlie Cook, a longtime analyst and founder of the Cook Political Report, wrote after the election. “Clearly something or someone intervened, affecting the outcome of the election in the places that mattered.”

Underwhelming Turnout at Arizona Election Protest Fuels Calls for More Action

They came. They sat. They protested, and they left.

Few in attendance expected the disappointingly low turnout at a well publicized “sit-in” demonstration to demand a new midterm election in Maricopa County, Arizona.

David Clements, a former New Mexico State University business professor, wasn’t satisfied with the poor showing. Clements lost his job in October 2021 for refusing to get a COVID-19 vaccination.

“This is you saving your country for your children. So you have to fix your vision right now, folks,” Clements told the gathering of around 150 protesters at the city’s downtown veterans memorial on Nov. 25.

“Are you tough, or are you not? Are you weak? Are you feckless? Or are you someone who will stand firm and grow this crowd?” Clements said, hoping to inspire the rally goers to call for reinforcements.

The group #AZRevote organized the daylong sit-in on social media and a prayer rally on Nov. 26, calling on as many people to show up with signs, banners, and righteous indignation.

Women Accusing Jeffrey Epstein of Abuse Sue Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase

Women who accused convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse have filed two separate lawsuits against JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Deutsche Bank AG, alleging that the banks facilitated his sex trafficking operation by maintaining a financial relationship with Epstein and ignoring red flags.

The two lawsuits, filed in federal court in New York on Nov. 24, were brought by lawyers that have previously represented accusers of Epstein, who died in a prison cell awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

The unnamed plaintiffs accuse the banks of “providing the requisite financial support for the continued operation of Epstein’s international sex trafficking organization” in violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), a U.S. law used to target illegal conspiracies that originally was designed to target organized crime.

“Epstein’s sex-trafficking venture was not possible without the assistance and complicity of a financial institution—specifically, a banking institution—which provided his operation with an appearance of legitimacy and special treatment to the sex-trafficking venture, thereby ensuring its continued operation and sexual abuse and sex-trafficking of young women and girls,” lawyers for the anonymous plaintiff wrote in the Deutsche Bank lawsuit.

Both lawsuits seek class-action status and undisclosed damages.

Nightmare On G20 Street: Biden Delivers US To A Chinese Social Credit System

“We support continued international dialogue and collaboration on the establishment of trusted global digital health networks as part of the efforts to strengthen prevention and response to future pandemics, that should capitalize and build on the success of the existing standards and digital COVID-19 certificates.

“We acknowledge the importance of shared technical standards and verification methods, under the framework of the IHR (2005), to facilitate seamless international travel, interoperability, and recognizing digital solutions and non-digital solutions, including proof of vaccinations.” (link)

Para 23, NOVEMBER 16, 2022, G20 Bali Leaders’ Declaration

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/11/16/g20-bali-leaders-declaration/

Joe Biden recently attended the G20 summit in Indonesia. At that meeting, acting as President of the United States, he signed an agreement that includes the paragraph set out above. It pledges U.S. support for the development and implementation of a digital vaccine passport. What that means is that Biden, without any authorization from Congress, has in effect entered us into a treaty under which American citizens will ultimately not be able to travel anywhere without being able to show via some electronic system that they have had vaccines mandated by the government.

The implications of this are enormous and terrifying. To begin with, the President of the United States has no constitutional authority to enter us into treaties. That authority is expressly reserved to the U.S. Senate. As on so many other occasions since he sat down in the Oval Office Biden has acted in violation of the Constitution. The transition from a republic to an autocracy continues.

It is also worth noting that the clear intent of this agreement is to put in place an international order, which will transcend the power of the American government and the American people. The goal here is to empower some group of unelected international bureaucrats so that they can control the movements of American citizens anywhere on the globe. Since we live in a world in which the head of the World Health Organization is a Maoist terrorist who owes his allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party, that prospect ought to be a little unsettling for everyone.

Finally, though, we should consider the meat of the matter. Establishing a system under which you cannot travel without carrying a digital passport that “authorizes” you to do so is the beginning of a process that spells the end of personal liberty. It is the first step down the road to the establishment of a totalitarian regime on the model of the Communist Chinese.

Maricopa County Should ‘Delay Certification’ of 2022 Election: GOP

Officials later confirm Maricopa canvass will go ahead as scheduled

Officials in Arizona’s Maricopa County demanded county elections officials delay certification and answer questions about how the Nov. 8 midterm elections were conducted.

The Maricopa County GOP said in a news release on Nov. 25 that the Maricopa Board of Supervisors should “delay certification” of its election results until those officials have “fully responded” to a letter issued by the Arizona Attorney General’s office and another sent by Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward earlier this month.

On Nov. 8, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates and Recorder Stephen Richer confirmed that there were problems with tabulation machines and later blamed the issue on a printer error.

“People were still able to vote, it was just a matter of maybe not voting in the way they wanted to,” Gates said on Nov. 8. “We do not believe that anyone has been disenfranchised, because no one has been turned away.”

But Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and others say that voters have come forward to say that had issues with casting their ballots on Election Day, prompting Lake to file a lawsuit last week against the county. In a separate interview, Lake said she’ll file a larger suit against the county.

Democrat Katie Hobbs, the current secretary of state who is running against Lake, declared victory earlier this month. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, a Republican, issued a statement last week that he will be working with Hobbs’s team on transferring power and recognized Hobbs as the winner.

With 99 percent of the vote counted, Hobbs leads Lake by more than 15,000 votes, according to data provided by The Associated Press. Earlier this month, Republican Senate candidate Blake Masters conceded to Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) in another hotly contested statewide race.

‘They’re Trying to Run Out the Clock’: Kari Lake Files 1st Lawsuit After Election

Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake on Nov. 23 filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County.

Lake sued Stephen Richer, the county’s recorder, and other officials in Arizona Superior Court. She’s asking the court to compel the officials to promptly produce records on the administration of the midterm elections, which featured widespread issues in the state’s largest county.

“Given instances of misprinted ballots, the commingling of counted and uncounted ballots, and long lines discouraging people from voting, as demonstrated in the attached declarations, these records are necessary for Plaintiff to determine the full extent of the problems identified and their impacts on electors,” the 19-page suit states.

Maricopa County officials have acknowledged that tabulators across many polling sites stopped working properly on election day. Among the advised solutions was voters placing their ballots into a box to be counted later. Declarations attached to the new suit from poll observers say that workers mixed counted and uncounted ballots in the same container at the end of the night.

Another solution to the tabulator problem was a voter checking out of a site and utilizing a mail-in ballot. To try to figure out the extent of the problems, the Lake campaign on Nov. 15 requested information such as all records related to voters who checked into a site and who also submitted a ballot by mail. The campaign sent another request on Nov. 16. None of the records have been produced yet, which violates Arizona law that public record requests must be fulfilled “promptly,” the suit states.

“We need information from Maricopa County,” Lake said on Steve Bannon’s “War Room.” “They ran the shoddiest election ever, in history, and we want some information. We’re on a timeline, a very strict timeline when it comes to fighting this botched election. And they’re dragging their feet. They don’t want to give us the information, so we’re asking the courts to force them to give us the information.”

Kari Lake Vows Larger Legal Challenge After 1st Election Lawsuit Filed

Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake said that she is planning a larger legal challenge than the one that her team filed against Maricopa County earlier this week.

“So we filed this lawsuit in court today asking the county to cough up some of the public documentation we need for our bigger lawsuit,” she told Just the News Wednesday. Lake added that she has not determined what the remedy of the lawsuit would be.

“Many people are saying they want a redo of Maricopa County. I’ve heard people say throw it out. We have not determined what the remedy is. But I don’t think you can fix what happened,” she said.

Lake, a Republican backed by former President Donald Trump, criticized how the County ran the election, saying “there were three-hour lines” in part caused by problems with the tabulation equipment at polling locations, in an interview with Newsmax.

Earlier this week, Lake’s team filed a lawsuit (pdf) against Maricopa County that called for the release of the country’s election records.

“We have a case that we’re putting together that I believe is going to be shocking,” Lake, a former local television host, said of the lawsuit. “We have whistleblowers coming forward. We have inside information about how this was run, what was going on behind the scenes. What they did to our sacred vote is unforgivable.”

Abbott’s Busing Migrants to Chicago Brings Illinois Leaders to Texas Border Town

Governor Greg Abbott’s busing of migrants to Chicago led officials from that city and the state of Illinois to visit the  Texas border with Mexico. The officials described their visit to the overwhelmed Texas border sector as “eye-opening.”

Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted a video showing City of Chicago and State of Illinois officials describing their reaction to a recent border tour. The tour of the overwhelmed Del Rio Sector comes in the wake of Texas’s Gov. Abbott busing thousands of migrants from this sector to Chicago.

Fauci Could Not Recall Key Details During Deposition: Louisiana Attorney General

Dr. Anthony Fauci said he could not recall key details about his actions during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to one of the officials who questioned him on Nov. 23.

Fauci, the director National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984 and President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, was deposed by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, both Republicans.

“It was amazing, literally, that we spent seven hours with Dr. Fauci—this is a man who single-handedly wrecked the U.S. economy based upon ‘the science, follow the science.’ And over the course of seven hours, we discovered that he can’t recall practically anything dealing with his COVID response,” Landry told The Epoch Times after leaving the deposition. “He just said, ‘I can’t recall, I haven’t seen that. And I think we need to put these documents into context,’” Landry added.

“It was extremely troubling to realize that this is a man who advises presidents of the United States and yet couldn’t recall information he put out, information he discussed, press conferences he held dealing with the COVID-19 response,” Landry added later.

Fauci and NIAID did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Landry declined to provide more details about the deposition until it is made public, which will happen at a future date. But he said officials would be able to take some of what they learned to advance their case.

Biden Attacks ‘Semi-Automatic’ Gun Ownership, Vows to Push Firearm Curbs During Lame Duck Congress

President Joe Biden on Nov. 24 called for “much stricter gun laws,” saying that he plans to push for a ban on “assault weapons” during the lame duck Congress while labeling the idea of allowing “semiautomatic weapons” to be purchased as “sick.”

Biden made the remarks after a meeting with local firefighters in Nantucket, Massachusetts, when he was asked to comment on a recent shooting at a Virginia Walmart, in which the perpetrator shot and killed six people before turning the gun on himself.

“I’m sick and tired of these shootings. We should have much stricter gun laws,” Biden said.

Biden first called for tougher enforcement of existing red-flag laws, which allow authorities to take guns away from people deemed dangerous.

“It saves lives. So that’s number one,” Biden said of red-flag laws, also known as extreme risk protection orders (ERPO).

Tax Refunds for Millions of Americans May Be Smaller This Year, Says IRS

Americans will be unpleasantly surprised to find their tax refunds smaller than expected for 2022, with the IRS announcing reduced refunds for the coming year as well, in a blow to many who rely on the refunds as a supplement to their savings.

“Refunds may be smaller in 2023. Taxpayers will not receive an additional stimulus payment with a 2023 tax refund because there were no Economic Impact Payments for 2022,” according to an IRS news release.

“In addition, taxpayers who don’t itemize and take the standard deduction, won’t be able to deduct their charitable contributions,” the release said.

According to analysts, 2021 pandemic-related government initiatives and recently passed changes to the tax code are some of the reasons for lower tax refunds.

The U.S. Department of Education suspended all student loans, along with interest accruals, during the pandemic lockdowns leading to the $2,500 above-the-line deduction being rendered worthless during the period. This means that consumers no longer have the option to reduce deductions from their gross income, leading to higher taxable income and smaller refunds.

In March 2021, child tax credit was increased from $2,000 to $3,000 for every child aged 17 and under, plus an additional $600 for children under six years old, under the American Rescue Plan. The rise in child tax credit will discount tax refunds for many U.S. citizens.

FBI Waited Over a Year to Fully Investigate Jan. 6 Pipe Bombs: House Judiciary Republicans

As part of a gargantuan 1,050-page report detailing whistleblower findings from the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ), Republicans found that the FBI waited over a year to begin a comprehensive investigation into the pipe bombs that were planted in front of both major parties’ headquarters on Jan. 5, 2021.

In the Nov. 5 report, Republicans argued that the FBI and DOJ have undergone “weaponization” during the course of President Joe Biden’s first term in office.

Specifically, the report focuses on the Department of Justice (DOJ) under Attorney General Merrick Garland and the FBI under Director Christopher Wray (pdf).

Garland, Republicans said, has been “a willing participant of the Biden Administration’s weaponization of law enforcement.” The FBI too, Republicans assert, “has abused its law-enforcement authorities for apparently political purposes.”

Republicans listed a series of seemingly-partisan decisions and top-down efforts by Garland’s DOJ to mislead or deceive the American people.

For instance, the bombshell report found that the FBI has been incentivizing and pushing its field agents to classify certain crimes as incidents of domestic violence extremism (“DVEs”) even when the facts do not align with such a classification. Republicans contended that this is part of an effort to bolster Biden and other Democrats’ contested claims that right-wing DVEs are one of the greatest threats Americans face.

The report also noted a bizarre incident in which the FBI went a step further, and actually manufactured a DVE.

‘Necessary for Oversight’: House Republicans Warn Ex-FBI Official of Subpoena If He Doesn’t Cooperate

Republicans in the House of Representatives said on Nov. 25 that they will subpoena a former FBI official who’s accused of misconduct if necessary.

Three top Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee wrote in a letter to Timothy Thibault, the former FBI official, that he has refused to voluntarily comply with requests for a transcribed interview despite his statement that he “[welcomes] any investigation.”

“Our requests, therefore, remain outstanding,” the Republicans said. “Your testimony is necessary for our oversight, and you can be assured that the Committee will continue to pursue this matter into the 118th Congress, including by compulsory process if necessary.”

Because Republicans flipped the House in the midterm elections, the party will control each committee once the new Congress is sworn in shortly after the start of 2023.

Majority control will also give Republicans subpoena power.

If Thibault is subpoenaed, he will have to appear or risk facing contempt of Congress charges.

Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, and two members of the panel, Reps. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Mike Johnson (D-La.), sent the letter to Thibault.

A request for comment to representatives of Thibault from The Epoch Times wasn’t returned by press time.

‘Insanity’: Now they claim more than 130 gender options, including ‘gender[bleep]’!

‘Adults can barely make sense of this nonsense, let alone children’

There are more than 130 gender, sexual orientation and pronoun options listed on the San Francisco’s Guaranteed Income For Transgender People (GIFT) program application.

Under the GIFT program, 55 San Francisco residents who earn less than $600 monthly and identify as one of the many genders listed will receive $1,200 per month. Aside from woman and man, some of the genders eligible for the money include “genderf***,” “boi,” “sistergirls” and “butch.”

“The lengthy list of possible ‘gender identity’ and sexual orientation labels is an apparent attempt to be ‘inclusive,’” Mary Hasson, a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, which focuses on promoting the Catholic vision while responding to the challenges of gender ideology, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “But it really exposes the meaninglessness of these labels – and of the concept of ‘gender identity’ itself. ‘Gender identity’ means nothing more than one’s ‘perception of self’ or identity feelings – it can be fluid, and can change at any time. Because ‘gender identity’ is a self-defined identity label, the list is actually under-inclusive – there’s an infinite list of possible labels, because each person can self-describe in

Listed on the GIFT application as a gender identity, “genderf***” is also considered a gender expression term, according to the University of Rhode Island Gender and Sexuality Center. “Genderf***” is defined as an “expression that is intentionally fluid” and gives “no clear designation in terms of perceived gender.”

Black Friday Shopping Mixed as Foot Traffic Sparse but Online Buying Soars

Thin crowds of inflation-weary shoppers hunted for Black Friday deals, with foot traffic remaining sparse in many malls across the country as Americans instead flocked online, where they spent a record $9.12 billion.

About 166 million people were planning to shop from the Nov. 24 Thanksgiving holiday through “Cyber Monday” on Nov. 28, according to the National Retail Federation, almost 8 million more than last year.

But many physical stores were less busy than usual on Black Friday, with sporadic rain in parts of the country keeping people away, while some shoppers said they were more careful with their spending, making targeted purchases rather than impulsive buys.

“We’ve been waiting” for discounts, said 28-year-old Tulio Rose, who picked up a big-screen TV at a Best Buy store in Los Angeles, saving roughly $500 on the purchase.

US Bans Huawei, ZTE Telecom Equipment Citing Threats to National Security

U.S. regulators have imposed a ban on electronic equipment created by several major Chinese tech corporations, citing national security concerns.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted new rules on Nov. 25 that will prohibit the import or sale of Chinese communications equipment deemed to pose an unacceptable risk to national security.

The new rules will bar equipment from Chinese telecom firms Huawei and ZTE from being imported into or sold in the United States. The order will also prohibit telecommunications equipment and video surveillance equipment produced by Hytera, Hikvision, and Dahua, as well as the companies’ subsidiaries or affiliates

By unanimous vote, the FCC concluded that the products posed an “unacceptable risk to [the] national security of the United States or the security and safety of United States persons,” according to a statement.

“The FCC is committed to protecting our national security by ensuring that untrustworthy communications equipment is not authorized for use within our borders, and we are continuing that work here,” said Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel.

“These new rules are an important part of our ongoing actions to protect the American people from national security threats involving telecommunications.”

Fed Braces for Smaller Rate Increases Ahead, Talks Recession Risks: Minutes

The Federal Reserve doesn’t believe inflation pressures are easing, according to minutes from this month’s Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) policy meeting.

Meeting participants noted that inflation risks were “skewed to the upside,” saying that “a persistent reduction in inflation could require a greater-than-assumed amount of tightening in financial conditions.”

With risks to real activity in the economy amid deteriorating conditions, the Fed touched upon the possibility of a recession in 2023.

“The staff, therefore, continued to judge that the risks to the baseline projection for real activity were skewed to the downside and viewed the possibility that the economy would enter a recession sometime over the next year as almost as likely as the baseline,” the minutes read.

The FTX-Alameda (FTX-A) tale is a prime example of my true motivation for writing at Rounding the Earth, and the reason why I have to fragment the focus: these different threads of war are absolutely necessary for understanding the Bigger Picture. The goal was always to lay out lessons embedded in the articles that might help more people open their eyes to the specifics of what is taking place, and therefore to be able to do something about it. This is the moment when it should become clear why I’ve been doing what I’ve been doing.

Homeowners Should Brace for Property Price Drop: Data, Experts

Real estate prices have declined over the past several months, but there could be much more to come, data and some experts indicate.

The median home price has dropped by about 7 percent since its peak in June. It is still up by about 6 percent since October last year and more than 35 percent up since early 2020, according to data from Zillow, a listing site.

Other market metrics have recently dropped far more precipitously though. Sales volume, for instance, is down more than 24 percent since last year. Construction started on less than 120,000 private housing units in October, down from more than 150,000 in April, according to Census Bureau’s seasonally adjusted data (pdf). Prices of lumber, the most common residential construction material in America, dropped by nearly 70 percent since February and are now roughly at the early 2020 level.

The housing market has been pummeled by the Federal Reserve’s lifting of interest rates this year, which have boosted mortgage rates from less than 3 percent in September last year to more than 7 percent in early November. The rates have since eased to some 6.5 percent.

This indicates that the market has yet to reach its bottom.

Ford Motor Recalls Over 634,000 SUVs Due to Fuel Leaks, Fire Risk

Ford Motor is recalling more than 634,000 SUVs globally after it came to light that these vehicles may run a risk of a cracked fuel injector that can leak vapors or spill fuel onto a hot engine, potentially triggering a fire.

The recall is for the Escape and Bronco Sport SUVs for all models between 2020 and 2023. The vehicles have 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engines. In the United States, the recall affects 518,993 vehicles. “If your SUV has a cracked fuel injector, a strong smell of gasoline is one of the first signs. If you smell gas or smoke, or see smoke, park your SUV and contact your Ford Dealer to have your vehicle inspected,” the company said in its recall statement.

According to Ford, a technician affiliated with the company will conduct a Software Update that will detect any drop in fuel pressure and automatically decrease engine power. In addition, a tube will be installed to drain fuel away from hot surfaces.

Customers can either bring their SUV to a service center or can have the vehicle picked up, repaired, and returned at their convenience. The services are complimentary. Owners can also avail themselves of a free loaner car while the recalled vehicle is undergoing repair.

Ford admits that they are in the dark about the cause of the issue and that the matter is still under investigation. In the United States, the supplier involved in the recall is Vitesco. The recall statement does not include any instructions to stop driving.

“Taking care of our customers who are affected by this potential issue is our utmost priority,” said Jim Azzouz, Executive Director, Global CX Products & Customer Relation, according to Nov. 24 news release.

U.S. bans Chinese tech reportedly used to spy on American military sites

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Friday announced a ban on new imports of Chinese-owned telecommunications equipment, including the equipment suspected of surveilling sensitive U.S. military sites.

The new rules, prohibiting U.S. sales and imports of equipment from companies including Huawei and ZTE, are the first to be implemented on the grounds they pose “unacceptable risk to national security,” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said Friday. U.S. authorities have expressed concerns that Beijing could exploit the companies’ telecommunications installations across the country to collect data from U.S. sites, including nuclear and military sites in the U.S.

“While we’ve flagged equipment as posing a national security risk, prohibited companies from using federal funds to purchase them, and even stood up programs to replace them, for the last several years the FCC has continued to put its stamp of approval on this equipment through its equipment authorization process,” FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said in a statement.

Refuse To Install Smart Meter? Prepare To Have Your Power Cut Off

Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Dominion Energy Virginia disconnected electricity to, threatened to or forced a “smart” meter on more than half a dozen households across Virginia.

According to Virginians for Safe Technology, based in Fredericksburg, households are in Petersburg, Fauquier, Prince William, Fluvanna, Albemarle, Henrico and Spotsylvania counties. Customers swapped out their “smart” meters for analog meters, and now are left without electricity.

“Dominion has crossed a line,” Jenny DeMarco, Communications Director of Virginians for Safe Technology, said in a press release. “When families taking reasonable steps to protect themselves and their children have their power cut-off in the middle of November, local police and sheriff’s departments are escorting the corporation doing so, and the government and regulatory agencies stand idly by, that’s a pretty strong signal that our system is broken.”

Milton Williams posted a video on YouTube on Nov. 8, 2022 about letters from Dominion threatening to shut off electricity if he did not install the “smart” meter in his home. Electricity was shut off November 10, and remains off.

According to the press release, the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) approved the statewide installation of “smart” meters in January 2022, as part of the Grid Transformation Plan.

“Dominion ‘upgraded’ my new house to a ‘smart’ meter without my knowledge or consent,” Aeron Mack of Fauquier said in the press release. “I have Lyme disease and cannot function with a smart meter on my home, but Dominion wouldn’t remove it so I had it replaced with an analog by a trained professional. I had just gotten home and was recovering from minor cancer surgery when Dominion showed up to cut off my power. I called the police to help me and instead of checking on my welfare, they stood laughing with the Dominion technicians while I cried and was forced to choose between a smart meter and no power.”

Acid Blockers Raise Risk of COVID-19, Other Diseases

Acid-reducing drugs, also called proton pump inhibitors (PPI), are one of the most successful drug classes ever launched, projected to earn as much as $3.26 billion in profits in the year 2026.

“Twenty-five years after their introduction into clinical practice, PPIs remain the mainstay of the treatment of acid-related diseases,” research published in the journal BMC Medical says. “Overall, PPIs are irreplaceable drugs in the management of acid-related diseases.”

The Dangers of Copper Deficiency and Iron Overload

Iron and copper are highly interdependent and need to be considered together. Low ferritin is rarely indicative of low iron. In most cases, it’s a sign that copper insufficiency is preventing proper iron recycling

Copper deficiency will down-regulate several genes, including aldose reductase-1 (which plays a crucial role in glucose and fructose metabolism), glutathione peroxidase (a master antioxidant enzyme), mitochondrial aconitase (involved in iron metabolism in the mitochondria) and transferrin (which mediates the transport of iron)

Iron deficiency virtually doesn’t exist outside of acute blood loss that is unrelated to menstruation. Unless you have a history of acute blood loss, you are likely dealing with iron recycling dysfunction due to copper deficiency

The best way to lower excessive iron is to donate blood. Most adult men and postmenopausal women have high iron and could benefit from regular blood donation, as high iron is extremely toxic and destroys health

To raise your copper level, you could use a copper bisglycinate supplement, or foods like grass fed beef liver, bee pollen and whole food vitamin C

Did Your Collagen Supplement Come From a CAFO?

Many nonorganic collagen supplements have been found to contain contaminants associated with factory farmed animals, but even organic products have their quality concerns, specifically those made from bovine (cow) hides

Bovine hide-based collagen supplements are made from castoffs from the tannery (leather) industry that have undergone harsh chemical processing. Due to this, even organic collagen from hides may be of questionable quality in terms of their “organic” status

An ideal way to supply your body with much-needed collagen is to make homemade broth by boiling down chicken feet or beef bones. The gelatin that forms on top as it cools is your richest source of collagen

Collagen can help counteract dull, wrinkled, sagging skin and dry, brittle hair and nails, all of which are signs of aging that result from a loss of collagen

Other benefits of collagen include improved sleep, stronger bones, reduced joint pain and stiffness, and improved muscle building, wound healing, connective tissue repair, gut health, digestion, blood pressure and glucose tolerance

Collagen Power-Plus is the most potent hydrolyzed collagen supplement known. This is 100% non-feed-lot bovine-collagen, predigested through a special enzymatic process. Beware of cheap imitations made from GMO-tainted feed lot sources.

Berries, Tea and Other Foods That Slow Mental Decline

Eating more berries and drinking tea may help slow mental decline as you age, new research suggests.

In a study of more than 900 adults, researchers found that foods like these — containing antioxidant flavonols — delivered brain benefits to older adults. Flavonols are found in fruits like berries, green leafy vegetables, tea and wine.

For example, people who ate a serving of leafy green vegetables a day slowed their rate of cognitive decline by about 32%, compared with people who didn’t eat any foods with flavonols, said lead researcher Dr. Thomas Holland, an instructor of internal medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

“Flavonols are both anti-inflammatories and antioxidants,” he said. “These foods that contain flavonols destroy free radicals and prevent cell damage. They prevent cell damage in the brain as well as in other organs, such as the heart and vascular system, kidneys, liver, etc.”

“Plant foods contain a treasure trove of powerful nutrients that offer significant health benefits,” said Samantha Heller, a senior clinical nutritionist at NYU Langone Health in New York City.

Flavonoids are just one family of over 5,000 compounds found in plants. “Included in this family are a subgroup called flavonols,” she noted.

This study focused on the flavonol content in people’s diets and its relationship with cognitive health, but we do not sit down and have a plate of flavonols for breakfast, said Heller, who had no role in the study.

“We eat foods that contain an array of phytonutrients [healthy plant compounds], such as fiber, vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals, such as flavonols. These phytonutrients work together synergistically, as a team, and this is what boosts the health benefits we derive by eating them,” she said.

These elements interact with each other in many biological processes — for example, reducing inflammation, supporting the immune system, protecting and repairing cells, and reducing oxidative stress, Heller said.

Holland agreed that flavonols alone aren’t going to keep mental decline at bay. The best path to maintaining physical and mental health, he said, includes a healthy lifestyle complete with a diverse diet of fruits and vegetables, physical activity and cognitive training — challenging yourself each day with learning something new.

“Also, sleep and stress reduction are all collectively going to be beneficial for overall health,” Holland said. “It’s never too early or too late to start making healthy changes.”

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Biden Admin Quietly Greenlights Plan to Build Huge Gulf Oil Terminal

The Biden administration has quietly approved plans to build a new crude oil terminal in the Gulf of Mexico off Texas, seemingly in contradiction to the president’s stance on fossil fuels and carbon emissions.

The Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) approved the application (pdf) for Enterprise’s Sea Port Oil Terminal, one of four proposed offshore oil export terminals, on Monday.

According to the application, the port will be located offshore of Freeport, Texas. It will have 4.8 million barrels of storage capacity and add 2 million barrels per day to the U.S. oil export capacity.

The decision comes as energy prices across the United States have soared, which many have blamed on Biden’s energy policies.

In its 94-page decision (pdf), MARAD said that it had granted the approval because the construction and operation of the port is “in the national interest and consistent with other policy goals and objectives.”

“The construction and operation of the Port is in the national interest because the Project will benefit employment, economic growth, and U.S. energy infrastructure resilience and security,” the administration wrote. “The Port will provide a reliable source of crude oil to U.S. allies in the event of market disruption and have a minimal impact on the availability and cost of crude oil in the U.S. domestic market.”

Biden Admin Authorizes Chevron to Resume Oil Pumping in Venezuela

The Biden administration authorized on Nov. 26 Chevron Corp.’s joint venture to resume oil pumping in Venezuela.

“The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued Venezuela General License (GL) 41, authorizing Chevron Corporation to resume limited natural resource extraction operations in Venezuela,” the Treasury Department said in a statement.

The goal of the authorization is to “alleviate the suffering of the Venezuelan people and support the restoration of democracy,” according to the statement.

The Biden administration’s decision comes after the Nicolás Maduro regime and opposition political alliance Unitary Platform resumed talks in Mexico City.

This was the first negotiation between the two parties since October 2021.

The two sides also announced progress including a humanitarian agreement focused on education, health, food security, flood response, and electricity programs that will benefit the Venezuelan people and a commitment to continuing talks on the Venezuela 2024 elections.

The announcements by the two parties are important steps in restoring democracy in Venezuela, the Biden administration stated.

Ex-Mennonite Mom ‘Born Again’ Joins Modern World, Goes Viral With Unreal Homesteading Skills on Instagram

RuthAnn Zimmerman didn’t realize her sequestered way of life was trending online until after searching the hashtag “homesteading” on Instagram. Soon afterward, hashtag homesteading found her.

Born a Mennonite Pennsylvanian—riding horse and buggies, the whole deal—she and her husband, Elvin, inherited a formidable survivalist skillset atypical of most Americans today, worthy of any apocalypse-bound, patriot prepper.

In 2000, six months after getting married, they bought their 20 acres in northeast Iowa, as an upstanding couple were expected to do. “It was just a cultural thing to do after you get married, to buy your property and start raising a family,” she told The Epoch Times. “At that time, we were just doing what was culturally expected from us.”

But that changed when they became born-again Christians and chose to co-mingle with mainstream society—to some extent.

So, they uprooted from the conformity of Mennonite life and planted one foot squarely in the modern world (hence the Instagram account). “It definitely took some time for us to learn to manage all the technology,” she said, adding that they have been living between two worlds for the past 15 years. “And in doing so we started looking back and embracing our heritage.”

They found benefits in both ways of life: while keeping as much of the modern world at bay as possible, they draw wonder from new experiences. Yet there is much to appreciate in tradition, as more Americans are now realizing. “I didn’t even know that homesteading was trendy—it’s just the way we live—until a friend pointed out,” said RuthAnn. “‘Hey, you should use the hashtag homesteading.’ And that was in 2020.

“So I started tapping into that hashtag and discovered that people are very, very hungry for simple living, and for the homesteading lifestyle, and to be more self-sufficient.

“And that’s kind of how I ended up where I am today.”

Fauci Couldn’t Name Any Studies Showing Masks Work Against COVID-19: Lawyers

Dr. Anthony Fauci could not cite any studies that changed his mind about masking against COVID-19 during a recent deposition, lawyers who were in the room said.

Fauci, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director, was among the U.S. officials repeatedly urging people not to mask early in the pandemic unless they were showing symptoms. Among his many public and private statements, he wrote in a Feb. 5, 2020 email that “the typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material.”

About two months later, Fauci and other top officials reversed course and issued widespread masking recommendations, regardless of symptoms.

Asked about the change while under oath on Nov. 23, Fauci couldn’t provide any studies, according to lawyers representing plaintiffs in a case against the federal government.

“He was asked what studies or study changed his mind in that interim, which is what he claimed—he claimed that it was studied. He couldn’t name any,” Jenin Younes, one of the lawyers, told The Epoch Times.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, a Republican who was also present during the deposition in Maryland, said on social media that Fauci “couldn’t cite a single study” to back up his claim that masks were effective against COVID-19.

Activating the Enemy Within: COVID Jabs Might Reactivate Virus and Diseases in Your Body

New evidence in the scientific community indicates that there is a strong correlation between COVID-19, its related vaccines, and the reactivation of other viruses which have previously infected the host. This article will dive deeper into the nuances.

Estimated 50% of Americans Now Question Vaccine Safety

This week, we celebrate our 13th anniversary of Vaccine Awareness Week. Barbara Loe Fisher, cofounder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) summarizes some of the high and low points we’ve experienced over the past year

I will match all donations made to the NVIC during this week, so it’s a great time to contribute, as each dollar you give will be doubled

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) has now logged over 1.4 million adverse events associated with the COVID-19 shots, including more than 30,000 deaths, half of which are from the United States. No other vaccine has ever caused as many injuries

While the harms are undeniable, health authorities are still doing what they can to deny the risks associated with the COVID shots. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention fought for 15 months to avoid releasing V-Safe data. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is also refusing to release autopsy reports of those who died post-jab

The culture wars that are going on in the world are really about collectivism versus individualism. The globalist cabal are desperately trying to convince countries to adopt a collectivist philosophy, which they refer to as “prosociality,” and move away from respect for the individual and individual rights. Nowhere is this currently more apparent than in the medical field and public health policy

How COVID-19 Spike Protein Accumulation Could Result in Thromboembolism

Beloved weatherman Al Roker, who transformed his life with bariatric surgery years ago and showed America how weight loss could be permanent, has always been honest about his health on television. In January 2021 he was so excited to get vaccinated for COVID-19 that he clicked the enter button over and over to get his precious appointment for the shot. He did the best he could to ask reasonable questions about efficacy and safety of Dr. Daniel Baker, a Medical Director at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York.  Al:  “Is it safe” Dr. Baker “absolutely.”[i]

Baker nervously went on to say that masks were still necessary and that we all had to get the shot for it really to work on a population level. At that time, papers were pouring into the medical literature that SARS-CoV-2 viral infection was causing blood clots and the causative agent was the Spike protein.[ii]   While the consent form likely did not mention blood clots, Baker could have covered his bases by saying the vaccine is new, that all of its side effects are not known, and that we do not have assurances that it protects against COVID-19 for more than two months.

Those phrases would have avoided this embarrassing and frankly negligent medical vignette that has resurfaced showing Roker giddily getting jabbed on live TV. If Roker followed the schedule it is likely he received four shots going into August, 2022, when he made it known to the public he had another booster.[iii]  In September, he contracted a mild case of COVID-19—as expected with Omicron—and did well until he was hospitalized in November with blood clots that shot to his lungs.

Inflammatory mRNA Nanoparticles Inhibit and Alter Immune Response: Pre-Print Study

The study, led by researchers from Thomas Jefferson University, found that the lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) used to transport mRNA in COVID-19 vaccines could “inhibit” and “alter” immune responses in mice.

LNPs are shells of lipids that envelope mRNA to prevent degradation and detection by our body’s immune system.

LNPs are not mRNA, simply an envelope to transport the mRNA cargo.

Both the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines use LNPs to deliver mRNA spike protein sequences into human cells. Once human cells received the mRNA sequences, the cells will then manufacture spike proteins, triggering an immune response.

It was originally intended that the LNPs discreetly deliver mRNA sequences into the cells to produce spike proteins, and in doing so, form immunity against the COVID-19 virus.

However, many studies in mice have since found that the LNPs, claimed to be non-toxic and safe, are actually highly inflammatory.

These nanoparticles are highly durable and can last for 20 to 30 days in the body. While they persist in the body, it is likely they will continue to activate the immune system, leading to immune exhaustion and non-responsiveness.

The Thomas Jefferson study also shared similar findings. The researchers investigated how LNPs affect the immune system by injecting mice with the same LNPs used in Pfizer’s vaccines, and some mice were even double-dosed.

Inflammation and immune responses in mice are not sure signs that the same will happen in humans. Nonetheless, mice have long been used to test for safety and efficacy in drugs for human use; signs of immune problems are an indication of possible health risks in humans.

Why the Unvaccinated Are Concerned About Close Contact With COVID-19 Vaccinated

One of the most common questions I am asked from the unvaccinated stems from concerns over “shedding.”

Because the mRNA vaccines have been in development by the US Department of Defense DARPA since 2011, one would have expected that all of the necessary preclinical testing would have been completed before Operation Warp Speed was announced.  The 2015 FDA guidance on Gene Product Shedding Studies with gene therapies, which are defined as “all products that exert their effects by transcription and/or translation of transferred genetic material and/or by integration into the host genome and that are administered in the form of nucleic acids, viruses or genetically modified microorganisms”

Public Health Leaders, Scientists Owe Americans Apology for Harms of Lockdowns: Dr. Scott Atlas

Americans have lost their trust in science, and it can’t be repaired without public health leaders and scientists admitting and apologizing for their wrongs during the pandemic, said former White House COVID-19 adviser Dr. Scott Atlas.

While serving in the Trump administration’s pandemic task force in 2020, Atlas was attacked by the mainstream media and academia over his advocacy for “focused protection.”

Public health leaders like Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx, as well as academics who supported lockdown measures, have left behind a harmful legacy that Americans are still grappling with today, Atlas said.

“Their legacy is: number one, the history’s biggest public health failure; number two, massive avoidable deaths in society’s most vulnerable; and number three, ongoing enormous health damages to low-income families and to children,” Atlas told The Epoch times in a recent interview.

“They have created a severe loss of trust in public health and science, and left us as a public in a situation where we cannot trust guidance,” he added. “Because the experts have been exposed—like in the story, ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’—as being non-expert, politicized, and simply unfit to hold the public trust.”

The Research Behind Remdesivir

How a twice-shelved drug became the standard of care for the most widespread disease

Remdesivir was the first medication approved for use in treating COVID-19 and one of the most expensive.

he drug is priced at $3,120 for a five-day treatment under private health insurance plans, and for U.S. government health programs, the cost is $2,340 per regimen.

In treatment guidelines published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), remdesivir is recommended: “for the treatment of COVID-19 in patients who do not require supplemental oxygen and who are at high risk of progressing to severe disease.”

However, remdesivir has a complex history.

Halt Vaccination of Young People Until Vaccine-Linked Myocarditis Is Studied: MIT Professor

Retsef Levi, a former Israeli military intelligence officer, an expert in risk management and health systems, and a professor at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, coauthored a paper that found a 25 percent rise in heart attack emergency calls among young Israelis after the country’s rollout of the COVID genetic vaccine.

Levi argues that there is enough data from this and various other studies on the vaccine’s adverse heart effects, to stop its use and run a thorough investigation into why many once-healthy young people suffer or die from heart inflammation after being vaccinated.

“The main question that we need to ask ourselves is, do we have enough evidence from this study and many other studies, to say halt!” Levi said during a recent interview with Epoch TV’s “American Thought Leaders” program. “We’re going to stop these vaccines, for young individuals, but maybe overall, and we’re going to take the time to really look very, very carefully and scrutinize every piece of data and bring together every possible piece of data to understand what is the answer.”

Zinc Cuts COVID Death Risk by 40%

Patients who tested positive for COVID-19 — including 190 outpatients and 280 hospitalized patients — received either oral zinc or a placebo twice daily for 15 days

Those taking zinc had a nearly 40% lower rate of death and admission to the intensive care unit (ICU)

Those in the zinc group had, on average, a 3.5-day shorter hospital stay while their symptoms resolved 1.9 days sooner than those who received a placebo

Research published in 2020 demonstrated that zinc is crucial to immune system function and deficiency can raise your risk of severe COVID-19 illness

Zinc has antiviral properties and acts as an immunomodulator; it also inhibits RNA synthesis and viral replication, while deficiency is associated with reduced natural killer cell function

Musk Warns About ‘Woke Mind Virus’ Entertainment Triggering Civilizational Suicide

Billionaire Elon Musk, who recently acquired Twitter, has issued a grave warning about the threat posed by woke ideologies to human civilization.

In a Nov. 25 tweet tagged “need advice,” Musk asked Twitter users about what they think about the culture war. When a user replied that the conservative side needs to start funding more artists, filmmakers, and writers instead of politicians and PACs since “you can’t win a culture war without any culture,” Musk responded that he is neither “conventionally right nor left,” although he agrees with the point.

“The woke mind virus has thoroughly penetrated entertainment and is pushing civilization towards suicide. There needs to be a counter-narrative,” he said.

Musk also agreed with a meme that suggests teachers are trying to push woke propaganda into childrens’ brains through education.

After acquiring Twitter, Musk said that the reason he bought the social media platform was to create a “common digital town square” where people can debate on a wide range of topics in a healthy manner.

“There is currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right-wing and far left-wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society,” he warned.

Elon Musk Addresses Trump’s Silence on Twitter

Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, said Friday the social media platform made a “grave mistake” when it banned former President Donald Trump in early 2021, noting that it broke trust with half the country.

Musk made his comment in reply to author and comedian Tim Young, who said “the left can’t handle” Trump’s Twitter account being reinstated by Musk, even though the former president hasn’t posted anything.

“It’s been a week since @elonmusk brought Trump back … and without him even tweeting once … The left can’t handle it,” Young wrote.

“I’m fine with Trump not tweeting,” Musk replied. “The important thing is that Twitter correct a grave mistake in banning his account, despite no violation of the law or terms of service.”

He added: “Deplatforming a sitting President undermined public trust in Twitter for half of America.”

Silicon Valley Whistleblower: ‘SMART Cities’ Worldwide Are Being Converted Into ‘Open Concentration Camps’

Aman Jabbi is a native of India and an engineer who worked in Silicon Valley for 25 years, co-inventor of two cellphone camera apps. He emigrated to the United States in 1988 because he admired America’s culture of liberty and ingenuity.

Jabbi now lives in Big Fork, Montana, and has become, in my opinion, one of the most important whistleblowers and voices of warning about the coming beast system.

Elon Musk Says He Has a Plan If Twitter Gets Kicked Off App Stores

Tech billionaire Elon Musk suggested he would make his own phone amid speculation Twitter could be booted from Google Play or Apple’s App Store.

“I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone,” he wrote in response to a Twitter post from podcaster Liz Wheeler. “The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?” Wheeler said.

Neither Apple, which makes iPhones, nor Google, which is behind the Android mobile operating system, have publicly indicated that Twitter could be jettisoned from either the App Store or Google Play.

Speculation ramped up earlier this month after Apple’s Twitter account deleted all of its posts and an Apple executive in charge of the App Store, Phil Scheller, appeared to delete his account. Apple CEO Tim Cook, however, is still active on the platform along with several other Apple Twitter accounts.

French Court Rules Man Has Legal Right to Not Be ‘Fun’ at Work

France’s highest court has ruled that a man was wrongfully terminated from his job because he has the legal right to refuse to participate in “fun” activities that he viewed as excessive and humiliating.

The individual, identified as Mr. T, was fired by Paris-based consulting firm Cubik Partners in 2015 for “professional incompetence” after he refused to participate in the company’s “fun” values. The firm also said that Mr. T was fired because he was difficult to work with and was a poor listener.

Officials Give Update After Uncounted Votes on Memory Card Flip Georgia Election

Authorities in Cobb County, Georgia, provided an update on a city council race after it was flipped following the discovery of an overlooked memory card with uncounted ballots.

Cobb County Communications Director Ross Cavitt confirmed to the Cobb Courier on Tuesday that after a recount, candidate Lynette Burnette won the special election for Kennesaw City Council Post 1.

Days before that, officials certified her opponent, Madelyn Orochena, the winner. However, it was discovered that employees did not upload a memory card from a precinct that had nearly 800 ballots, which ultimately gave Burnette the lead.

“The recertification was necessary after workers discovered a memory card had not been included in the previous results. The additional ballots resulted in a change in the Kennesaw City Council Post 1 Special Election,” a Cobb County news release said.

A recount of the race was conducted starting Nov. 20, a release said.

DeSantis Doesn’t Need to Testify in Upcoming Trial, Judge Rules

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis does not need to testify in an upcoming trial, a U.S. judge has ruled.

The case was brought in August by Andrew Warren, a Florida prosecutor suspended by DeSantis for saying he would not enforce some laws. Warren alleged the suspension violated his First Amendment rights.

Florida’s motion to shield DeSantis, a Republican who just won a second term in office, from testifying in the trial was granted during a pretrial conference held on Nov. 23, according to a transcript of the hearing obtained by The Epoch Times.

U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle, a Clinton appointee, said he was granting the motion but would consider saying the governor could be called during the trial, depending on the evidence the plaintiff brings forward.

Hinkle said that it does decide in the plaintiff’s favor, DeSantis could still refuse to testify.

Warning: High windy alert. The political conspiracy explanation for Florida hurricanes

Now that the hurricane season is wrapping up, we here in Florida need to assess the risks going forward.

I’m going to turn this discussion over to DeAnna Lorraine and Lauren Witzke. Both women were unsuccessful candidates for U.S. Congress in 2020 and both have postulated that Hurricane Ian, the hurricane that devastated parts of Southwest Florida in September, was a “deep state” secret attack on the state that had more to do with the political enemies of Gov. Ron DeSantis than with natural weather patterns.

Stay with me. This is going to get deep.

“These huge hurricanes always seem to target red states, red districts, and always at a convenient time — typically right before elections, or in this case, possibly, because Ron DeSantis has been stepping out of line a lot and challenging and fighting the Deep State,” Lorraine said on her “Shots Fired” web show.
