Joe Biden Warns World Facing Nuclear ‘Armageddon’ from Vladimir Putin

President Joe Biden warned supporters on Thursday that the world is facing “Armageddon” due to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The president compared his plight to that of former President John F. Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis with the Soviet Union.

Less of Everything: IMF Predicts ‘Darkening Outlook’ for World’s Economy as ‘New Normal’ Begins

Inflation, strains on food and energy supplies, war in the Ukraine, rising jobless numbers alongside risks of a global recession: these are just a few of the factors making up a “new normal” cited by International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director Kristalina Georgieva on Thursday as darkening the outlook for the world’s economy.

Shock after shock will cause a global output loss of $4 trillion by 2026, Georgieva warned,  adding the IMF has downgraded economic growth projections to 3.2 percent for 2022 and 2.9 percent for 2023.

UK 1984: Priest’s Wife Arrested in Front of Her Children for Alleged Gender Wrongthink on Social Media

Britain’s woke police have come under criticism again after they arrested a mother of five, the wife of a priest, for allegedly posting offensive statements on the internet.

On Monday, while she was cooking dinner for her family, Caroline Farrow — an activist and outspoken critic of modern far-left gender ideology — was taken from her home, frisked “for drugs”, and arrested by Surrey Police.

Two Russian Migrants Flee by Sea to Alaska to Avoid War in Ukraine

A pair of Russian men landed a small boat on St. Lawrence Island near Gambell, Alaska, on Tuesday morning. The men reportedly sought asylum after fleeing Russia to avoid the Russian war with Ukraine.

After local and Alaskan officials detained the two men, Coast Guard officials arrived and flew the men off the island located in the Bering Sea. The men told Gambell Town Clerk Curtis Silook the men said they sailed from the city of Egvekinot in northeastern Russia. They told villagers they made the 300-mile journey to avoid the expansion of compulsory Russian military service, KTUU Alaska News Source reported.

Report: Federal Agents Have ‘Sufficient Evidence’ to Charge Hunter Biden with Tax Crimes, False Gun Statement

Federal agents reportedly have “sufficient evidence” to charge Hunter Biden with tax crimes and making false statements regarding a gun purchase.

The decision of whether Hunter will ultimately be charged is up to Trump-appointed United States Attorney David Weiss, individuals with knowledge of the probe told the Washington Post in a Thursday report. Weiss was appointed to the position in 2017.

Joe Biden Pardons Thousands Convicted of Federal Marijuana Possession

President Joe Biden announced Thursday his decision to pardon some federal marijuana offenses as part of his effort to satisfy criminal justice and drug policy activists.

“As I often said during my campaign for President, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana,” Biden said in a statement released by the White House, noting that marijuana crimes had “upended too many lives.”

Pennsylvania Man Has Not Filed Income Taxes in 17 Years

We don’t see the IRS in the Constitution,’ said Barry Durmaz

The Pledge of Allegiance states that America is “one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Liberty, the dictionary says, is living free from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.

Pennsylvania author Barry Durmaz says he is living his life in liberty. That means, among other things, he has not filed income taxes for the last 17 years, and recently he stopped licensing his car. Instead, he had a custom license plate made that says “Private, DOT exempt, for non-commercial use only.”

As a person of liberty, he no longer consents to disclosing private information to the government or filling out forms for taxes or for a car license.

The married father of five is soon to publish his first book, “What Is An American: How the Virtuous Government of America’s Unseen King Deals a Death Blow to the Evils of Socialism, Marxism, and Communism.” In it, he says the liberty of each individual household is the key to America’s freedom.

After considering the Bible, history, and the U.S. Constitution, Durmaz has come to believe that ultimate liberty is faith and self-government, or self-control. That comes from being independently dependent upon God.

Federal Judge Blocks Parts of New York’s Restrictive New Gun Law

A federal judge in New York on Oct. 6 issued a temporary injunction against portions of the state’s new gun law to allow a pro-gun group to pursue a lawsuit to challenge the measure.

The law, which took effect on Sept. 1, created new requirements to obtain a firearms license, including submitting social media accounts for review and creating a list of private and public places prohibiting the carrying of a gun even for license holders. The measure was approved by New York’s legislature after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a 100-year-old concealed carry law over the summer.

Chief Judge Glenn Suddaby of the U.S. District Court in Syracuse issued the injunction, siding with six New York residents who are members of Gun Owners of America.

“Simply stated, instead of moving toward becoming a shall-issue jurisdiction, New York State has further entrenched itself as a shall-not-issue jurisdiction. And, by doing so, it has further reduced a first-class constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense … into a mere request,” Suddaby wrote in his order.

Suddaby noted that his order wouldn’t take effect for another three days to allow lawyers for New York’s government to appeal his ruling in a higher court.

US Charges 11 Pro-Life Activists for Blocking Access to Abortion Clinic

U.S. prosecutors charged 11 pro-life activists with violating federal law by blocking access to an abortion clinic in Tennessee in 2021.

Prosecutors say Chester Gallagher and others conspired to blockade a clinic in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, utilizing Facebook to coordinate travel and logistics for co-defendants.

Caroline Davis, also a defendant, at one point wrote to Coleman Boyd, who was also charged, that she would meet him for a “rescue” in Tennessee in March 2021.

The group did block a woman and an employee from entering the clinic, authorities said, citing a livestream broadcast by Boyd. The broadcast was titled “Mt. Juliet, TN Rescue March 5, 2021.” The group went into the hallway outside the clinic’s two entry doors before it was scheduled to open.

Gallagher said on a separate livestream that he and those with him were “willing to be incarcerated” to “rescue families from this place of destruction.”

Local police officers arrested nine people, including Gallagher. The people went inside the facility “and basically just sat down, and they were not going to leave,” Mount Juliet Police Department Capt. Tyler Chandler said at the time.

A federal grand jury has indicted Gallagher, Davis, Boyd, Heather Idoni, Dennis Green, Calvin Zastrow, and Paul Vaughn on charges of civil rights conspiracy and violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act). Eva Edl, Eva Zastro, James Zastro, and Paul Place were charged only with violating the FACE Act.

Memos Show FBI Double Standard on Sexual Misconduct Favors Execs: Grassley

Internal Department of Justice (DOJ) documents obtained from FBI whistleblowers show at least 44 high-level FBI officials either resigned or retired without being disciplined after sexual misconduct charges were documented against them, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

Those 44 officials left the FBI before the DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) was able to file official recommendations for appropriate penalties, Grassley said in a statement that was made available to The Epoch Times. The final disposition of one case in which the FBI executive left the bureau after OPR issued its decision isn’t known.

The 45—all of whom were members of the federal government’s Senior Executive Service—were among a total of 665 FBI employees who were confirmed by investigators to have committed sexual misconduct while on the job between 2004 and 2020. The data was produced for a review conducted by the DOJ’s Office of Disciplinary Appeals of FBI disciplinary records.

That review was prompted by a December 2020 Associated Press story that found eight sexual misconduct cases among the FBI’s executive ranks. As a result of the review, FBI Director Christopher Wray in the same month issued a “zero tolerance” memo to agents regarding sexual misconduct on or off duty.

There may be many more examples of sexual misconduct among the FBI’s senior ranks that weren’t documented in the DOJ review, according to Grassley’s statement.

“The data doesn’t include resignations or retirements that occurred prior to the initiation of or during an ongoing misconduct investigation, so the actual number of employees who departed the FBI following allegations of sexual misconduct could be much higher,” Grassley wrote.

Sen. Graham Warns Elon Musk After He Calls for De-escalation of Ukraine War

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) targeted Elon Musk over recent Twitter posts and warned that senators could take away Tesla’s tax breaks after Musk urged for de-escalation of the Russia–Ukraine war.

“I still very much support Ukraine, but am convinced that massive escalation of the war will cause great harm to Ukraine and possibly the world,” Musk wrote on Twitter this week in response to a Musk-critical poll made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Musk also posted a poll of his own on whether people in the disputed Donbass and Crimea regions should decide whether they’re part of Ukraine or Russia.

That prompted a critical comment and warning from Graham.

“With all due respect to Elon Musk—and I do respect him—I would suggest he needs to understand the facts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Graham wrote on Twitter. “Suggesting we end the Russian invasion by simply giving Russia parts of Ukraine—after all the suffering—is dumb. It is also an affront to the bravery of the Ukrainians fighting to defend their homeland.”

Later in the thread, Graham suggested that lawmakers “should revisit the electric vehicle tax credit boondoggle.”

“It is where the credit is now solely benefiting electric vehicle manufacturers who have increased prices equal to the tax credit,” he wrote on Twitter, in what some suggested is a veiled threat against Musk’s company, Tesla, the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles in the United States.

Democrats Float an End to US Troop Protection for Gulf Nations After OPEC+ Production Cut

Some Democrats are floating the idea of removing U.S. troops from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over a recent decision by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries plus Russia (OPEC+) to substantially slash oil production.

Since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, the cost of gasoline and other energy sources to consumers has seen a substantial uptick.

Republicans have placed the blame for rising costs squarely on Biden’s “anti-American” domestic energy policies.

Everybody Asks: Who Is Really Controlling Joe Biden?

Since the Carter Administration in the 1970s, members of the Trilateral Commission have dominated every president since, both Democrat and Republican, to establish their self-proclaimed goal of  a New International Economic Order. For all who think the Commission is over-the-hill, you need to get a grip on what is actually happening. Here are the top ten Trilaterals controlling Biden.

(Trilateral Commission current or former members are in bold type.)

Joe Biden is surrounded by TEN current and former members of the Trilateral Commission. They have become like a personal guard and policy controllers for virtually everything that Biden has pursued since his inauguration. Since the Trilateral Commission membership is global – only one third are Americans – these ten interlopers collectively represent the interests of the global hegemony that is trying to destroy America.

Trump Asks CNN to Prove His ‘Big Lie’ About 2020 Elections Is False

Former President Donald Trump, who sued CNN for defamation early this week, said in an interview on Wednesday that the media should prove his allegations about the 2020 presidential election being rigged are false.

CNN had termed Trump’s allegations a “big lie,” a term that Trump claimed was coined by anchors to malign his reputation. While talking to hosts John Solomon and Amanda Head on the Real America’s Voice network show “Just The News No Noise” on Oct. 5, Trump said CNN should “prove the big lie.”

“They’ll say whatever comes to mind. They talk about the big lie. I said, well prove the big lie. The big lie is not a big lie at all. The big lie is the opposite,” said Trump.

“All the stats—we have everything. Unfortunately, we haven’t had judges that want to look at it. They don’t want to change elections.”

The former President filed a lawsuit against CNN on Monday, alleging defamation and seeking $475 million in punitive damages.

“And so we sued CNN for a lot of money and we’ll see how that goes. I think it should go very well,” Trump said.

ECONOMY & BUSINESS

Wall Street Expects Second-Biggest Home Price Drop Since Great Depression

Top investment firms, including Morgan Stanley, are predicting a significant drop in U.S. home prices amid high mortgage rates, elevated home prices, and affordability challenges.

Morgan Stanley is calculating home prices to dip by 7 percent by the end of 2023, which is more than twice as large as the 3.1 percent peak-to-trough decline seen during the early 1990s. If the prediction were to become true, it would be the second-largest drop since the Great Depression. The top spot is taken by the 27 percent peak-to-trough decline seen between 2006 and 2021.

Morgan Stanley blamed unprecedented home price growth and spiking mortgage rates for the situation. “Affordability is already challenged, exposing would-be homeowners to an increasing rent environment that erodes their ability to save for a downpayment,” the firm’s researchers wrote in a note, according to Fortune.

“If that were to be combined with increasing unemployment, we could imagine a scenario in which existing home sales continue to outpace the GFC [great financial crisis of 2008–09] to the downside.”

New U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims in Unexpected Surge

The number of Americans submitting new claims for jobless benefits increased more than expected last week, jumping 29,000 to a seasonally adjusted 219,000 for the week ended October 1, the Department of Labor said Thursday.

The rise in fresh unemployment filings was the highest in four months.

Joe Biden Drains Strategic Petroleum Reserve to 40 Year Low

President Joe Biden will have drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to a 40 year low at the end of October, according to industry experts.

The SPR contained about 638 million barrels of oil before Biden assumed office. But America’s oil reserve will be depleted 40 percent in just a few weeks at the current rate of release.

Twitter to show ‘fact-checks’ on timeline of every US user

The platform is expanding its Birdwatch program, which relies on verified users to flag tweets they deem misleading

Twitter has expanded its community moderation program known as Birdwatch to target all users based in the US, according to a company announcement on Thursday.

The program, first introduced in 2021, is marketed by Twitter as an attempt to combat disinformation on the platform by allowing a small group of “independent contributors” to add notes to “potentially misleading” tweets.

Florida’s Top Fire Marshal Warns ‘Tons’ of Waterlogged Electric Vehicles Catching Fire After Hurricane Ian

Firefighters in Florida are dealing with a new challenge in the wake of Hurricane Ian—waterlogged electric vehicle (EV) batteries erupting in flames.

Florida’s chief financial officer and state fire marshal, Jimmy Patronis, took to Twitter on Oct. 6 to warn of the increased numbers of incidents in which electric vehicle batteries have corroded amid the storm, prompting fires to begin.

“There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian. As those batteries corrode, fires start. That’s a new challenge that our firefighters haven’t faced before,” Patronis said. “At least on this kind of scale.”

Patronis shared a video alongside the tweet showing firefighters from the North Collier Fire Rescue (NCFR) attempting to put out smoke stemming from an EV in the middle of a busy road.

Patronis said that there is a “ton of EVs disabled from Ian.”

Training AI: Fake Data Is Cheaper Than Real Data

Babies learn to talk from hearing other humans — mostly their parents — repeatedly produce sounds. Slowly, through repetition and discovering patterns, infants start connecting those sounds to meaning. Through a lot of practice, they eventually manage to produce similar sounds that humans around them can understand.

Machine learning algorithms work much in the same way, but instead of having a couple of parents to copy from, they use data, painstakingly categorized by thousands of humans who have to manually review the data and tell the machine what it means.

However, this tedious and time-consuming process isn’t the only problem with real world data used to train machine learning algorithms.

US Buys $290 Million Worth of Drugs in Preparation for Nuclear Emergencies

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is buying $290 million worth of drugs as part of its “long-standing, ongoing efforts to be better prepared to save lives following radiological and nuclear emergencies.”

HHS is purchasing a supply of the drug Nplate from Amgen USA, a biotechnology headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California.

The $290 million purchase was announced on Oct. 4 by the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), an agency within the HHS that’s tasked with preparing the nation for future disasters and public health emergencies.

Nplate is the trade name of romiplostim, which was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in January 2021 to treat blood cell injuries that accompany acute radiation syndrome (ARS) in adults and children.

ARS is also referred to as radiation sickness, which reaches internal organs in mere seconds and “occurs when a person’s entire body is exposed to a high dose of penetrating radiation.” It can result in a difficulty for blood to clot because of low platelet counts, which can lead to uncontrolled bleeding, which is life-threatening.

Nplate helps reduce the radiation-induced bleeding by stimulating the body to produce more platelets.

According to the announcement, Amgen’s development of Nplate for radiation sickness was supported by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). BARDA is part of the HHS ASPR, and NIAID is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

“BARDA is using its authority provided under the 2004 Project Bioshield Act and $290 million in Project BioShield designated funding to purchase this supply of the drug,” the ASPR announcement reads.

Sane in the Great Plains: Wyoming Has No plans to Adopt Electric Vehicles

The Wyoming Department of Transportation and other state agencies maintain fleets of thousands of vehicles but recently confirmed that no EVs will be added to its fleets anytime soon due to a lack of infrastructure to support electric vehicles, a position that makes a lot of sense as incidents of battery failures and poor mileage continue to mount.

Cowboy State Daily reports that the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the state of Wyoming maintain separate fleets of thousands of vehicles, most of which are traditional gas-powered vehicles with a few hybrids mixed in. However, due to the lack of infrastructure to support electric vehicles, the state will not be adding EVs to its fleets.

Could You Be Reacting to Corn?

The processed food and meat industries are centered around industrially produced corn—and most people are unaware.

Some form of corn is found in nearly every processed food item, whether that be as a sweetener (such as high-fructose corn syrup, dextrose, and sorbitol), a texturizer (such as dextrin and maltodextrin), a grain (as in corn flour, cornmeal, or corn gluten), an alcohol (ethanol), a protein (zein), corn starch, or any of several other derivatives.

While the prolific use of corn is testimony to its virtues as a grain, there are many problems that have developed from so much industrially produced corn.

The not well-recognized downsides include food allergy, food intolerance, food addiction, binge-eating, other serious and confusing health issues, and a corn-based agricultural system that consumes a large amount of natural resources but is inefficient at producing healthy food.

Most corn in the food supply also is genetically modified, including a modification so it can be sprayed with higher amounts of glyphosate, a problematic herbicide.

Corn is heavily subsidized—to the tune of $116 billion from 1995 to 2020, according to Department of Agriculture data compiled by the Environmental Working Group.

California Doctors Sue State Over New Medical ‘Misinformation’ Law

Attorneys for two doctors have filed a federal lawsuit against the Medical Board of California and state Attorney General Rob Bonta over a freshly signed law that aims to punish physicians for spreading “misinformation” or “disinformation” related to COVID-19.

The complaint, filed on behalf of Dr. Jeff Barke and Dr. Mark McDonald in the Central California U.S. District Court on Oct. 4, just days after California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 2098 (AB 2098) into law, asks the court to declare the new law unconstitutional and seeks a preliminary injunction to prevent it from being enforced.

The statute defines misinformation as “false information that is contradicted by contemporary scientific consensus contrary to the standard of care,” and disinformation as “misinformation that is deliberately disseminated with malicious intent or an intent to mislead.”

In his signing message, Newsom said he was concerned similar laws could have a “chilling effect” on doctors, but was confident AB 2098 is narrow enough to apply only to “those egregious instances” where physicians are acting with malicious intent “or clearly deviating from the required standards of care.”

Moderna and Pfizer Seek Booster Authorization for Children

Pfizer and Moderna are both seeking emergency use authorization for their bivalent COVID boosters for children. Moderna is seeking authorization for children ages 6 through 17, while Pfizer’s shot is for children aged 5 through 11

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expects the bivalent boosters will be available for children aged 5 to 11 by mid-October 2022

In the U.S., both bivalent boosters will contain mRNA against the original Wuhan strain and Omicron variants BA.4 and BA.5. (In the U.K., Moderna’s booster targets the Wuhan strain and BA.1, an earlier Omicron strain no longer in circulation)

The effectiveness of Pfizer’s booster is based on antibody levels in eight mice, which cannot tell you anything about the level of protection you might receive. Moderna’s booster is also based on antibody levels in mice, although the exact number is unknown

When it comes to safety, there’s not even mouse data. The safety is assumed based on the original shots, even though the safety data on those is shocking beyond belief. As of September 16, 2022, the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) had logged 55,733 reports of injuries and deaths in children under the age of 18

When Anti-Government Speech Becomes Sedition

Anti-government speech has become a four-letter word.

In more and more cases, the government is declaring war on what should be protected political speech whenever it challenges the government’s power, reveals the government’s corruption, exposes the government’s lies, and encourages the citizenry to push back against the government’s many injustices.

Indeed, there is a long and growing list of the kinds of speech that the government considers dangerous enough to red flag and subject to censorship, surveillance, investigation and prosecution: hate speech, conspiratorial speech, treasonous speech, threatening speech, inflammatory speech, radical speech, anti-government speech, extremist speech, etc.

Things are about to get even dicier for those who believe in fully exercising their right to political expression.

Indeed, the government’s seditious conspiracy charges against Stewart Rhodes, the founder of Oath Keepers, and several of his associates for their alleged involvement in the January 6 Capitol riots puts the entire concept of anti-government political expression on trial.

Enacted during the Civil War to prosecute secessionists, seditious conspiracy makes it a crime for two or more individuals to conspire to “‘overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force’ the U.S. government, or to levy war against it, or to oppose by force and try to prevent the execution of any law.”

It’s a hard charge to prove, and the government’s track record hasn’t been the greatest.

It’s been almost a decade since the government tried to make a seditious conspiracy charge stick—against a small Christian militia accused of plotting to kill a police officer and attack attendees at his funeral in order to start a civil war—and it lost the case.

CCP Runs Police Outpost in New York City, Part of Global Network of Transnational Repression: Report

Chinese authorities have opened at least one “overseas police service station” in the United States as part of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) global transnational repression, according to human rights group Safeguard Defenders.

“These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation and violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity in third countries involved in setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods,” the Spain-based group said in a recent report.

The report, titled “110 Overseas: Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild,” examined the initiative first launched by ten “pilot provinces” in 2018. These stations were also called 110 Overseas, named after the country’s police emergency services phone number.

An outpost in New York City was among the “first batch” of 30 overseas police service stations in 21 countries set up by the Public Security Bureau in Fuzhou city, the capital of the southern coastal province of Fujian. Other Chinese cities also set up their own outposts abroad.

The Chinese police authorities’ division in New York was opened on Feb. 15, according to Dongnan News, a media outlet backed by Fujian provincial government. The center, called Fuzhou Police Oversea Service Station, is located at 107 East Broadway, inside the headquarters of the American ChangLe Association (ACA), a non profit with close ties to the Chinese regime.

Safeguard Defenders identified 54 overseas police service stations across five continents, including in cities from Toronto to Dublin.

As reported on Thursday the 6th, a federal appeals court issued a ruling on DACA.
