Tens of thousands of Russians fleeing Vladimir Putin’s military conscription to fuel the Ukraine invasion have flooded neighboring central Asian countries in the past week, leaving governments such as Kazakhstan and Mongolia with few resources to process the sudden and growing migrant wave.
Putin delivered a national address last week in which he announced a “partial mobilization” of new troops to fuel the eight-year-old war in Ukraine, which began with Putin invading and colonizing Crimea in 2014. Interest in the nearly decade-old war surged in the West in February, when Putin announced a “special operation” to remove Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accusing the Ukrainian government of being “Nazis” and Ukraine itself of having “no tradition” of sovereignty.
New Zealand PM Calls For System Of Global Censorship At UN Meeting
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is the latest liberal leader to call for an international alliance to censor speech. Unsatisfied with the unprecedented corporate censorship of social media companies, leaders like Hillary Clinton have turned from private censorship to good old-fashioned state censorship. Speech regulation has become an article of faith on the left. Ardern used her speech this week to the United Nations General Assembly to call for censorship on a global scale.
Ardern lashed out at “disinformation” and called for a global coalition to control speech. After nodding toward free speech, she proceeded to lay out a plan for its demise through government regulation:
But what if that lie, told repeatedly, and across many platforms, prompts, inspires, or motivates others to take up arms. To threaten the security of others. To turn a blind eye to atrocities, or worse, to become complicit in them. What then?
This is no longer a hypothetical. The weapons of war have changed, they are upon us and require the same level of action and activity that we put into the weapons of old.
We recognized the threats that the old weapons created. We came together as communities to minimize these threats. We created international rules, norms and expectations. We never saw that as a threat to our individual liberties – rather, it was a preservation of them. The same must apply now as we take on these new challenges.
Ardern noted how extremists use speech to spread lies without noting that non-extremists use the same free speech to counter such views. To answer her question on “how do you tackle climate change if people do not believe it exists” is that you convince people using the same free speech. Instead, Ardern appears to want to silence those who have doubts.
While referring to a global censorship coalition as a “light-touch approach to disinformation,” Ardern revealed how sweeping such a system would likely be. She defended the need for such global censorship on having to combat those who question climate change and the need to stop “hateful and dangerous rhetoric and ideology.”
“After all, how do you successfully end a war if people are led to believe the reason for its existence is not only legal but noble? How do you tackle climate change if people do not believe it exists? How do you ensure the human rights of others are upheld, when they are subjected to hateful and dangerous rhetoric and ideology?”
That is the same rationale used by authoritarian countries like China, Iran, and Russia to censor dissidents, minority groups, and political rivals. What is “hateful” and “dangerous” is a fluid concept that governments have historically used to silence critics or dissenters.

Hurricane Ian to Make Landfall Earlier Than Expected as 2.5 Million Evacuate in Florida
Federal officials said in a recent update on Tuesday that Hurricane Ian is expected to make landfall earlier than previously expected.
The Category 3 storm is forecast to pick up in intensity on Tuesday and Wednesday before making landfall on Wednesday evening, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in a 2 p.m. update on Tuesday.
“Ian is moving toward the north near 10 mph, and this motion is expected to continue today,” the update said. “A turn toward the north-northeast with a reduction in forward speed is forecast tonight and Wednesday.”
The center of the storm is slated to move over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico today before going west of the Florida Keys on Tuesday night. Then, it will approach Florida’s western coast on Wednesday and Wednesday night, the agency said.
FBI Changes Total Number of Documents Seized From Trump’s Estate
The FBI on Sept. 26 changed the total number of documents it said it seized from former President Donald Trump’s estate.
Sixty-three additional documents or photographs without classification markings were taken from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort than previously listed by the FBI, according to an updated inventory list.
The revised inventory was submitted to the federal court in southern Florida on orders from U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie, a Reagan appointee who was inserted into the case as a special master, or an independent third party to handle disputes and other matters.
Dearie ordered a government official “with sufficient knowledge of the matter” to submit a declaration or affidavit stating whether the detailed property inventory released on Sept. 2 “represents the full and accurate extent of the property seized from” Trump’s home in August when FBI agents executed a search warrant there.
An FBI supervisory special agent, whose name was redacted, fulfilled the order. The agent, based in Washington, said he or she leads a squad of special agents, intelligence analysts, and other personnel in carrying out counterintelligence and espionage investigations, and that their team executed the warrant.
The earlier inventory was performed by the agent and workers under their direction but, wanting to make sure the inventory was accurate, “I and FBI personnel working under my direction conducted an additional review and recount of the Seized materials in order to make this declaration,” the agent told Dearie.
That resulted in some “minor revisions,” the agent acknowledged.
Arizona Woman Made $7.2 Million From Human Smuggling in 6 Months: Police
A 24-year-old Arizona woman was arrested and charged with crimes related to a human smuggling enterprise on Sept. 23, according to the El Mirage Police Department (EMPD).
The woman, Tania Estudillo Hernandez, had allegedly held or processed 80 to 100 illegal aliens per month at a residence in El Mirage over at least a six-month period, the police department stated in a Facebook post.
The illegal aliens were charged as much as $15,000 each in smuggling fees, police said. At $15,000 a person, for 80 people per month over six months, that would be a total of $7.2 million.
Police said the department received a report of a person being held for ransom at the El Mirage address on the morning of Sept. 23.

Yes, you heard me right. All of this is for setting himself up as the one to stand against Joe Biden and his criminal administration’s agenda (Hosea 4:6).
The problem here is that most people are not aware of the fact, or they are simply not paying attention, that Ron DeSantis is executing the Joe Biden agenda by dispersing illegals (Marxist communists) into America.
Pay attention, he is IMPORTING them into America, not deporting them (Jeremiah 5:21). Thus, he is endangering the lives of the American people, as the American people praise their destroyers (Deuteronomy 28:43).
On his heels is Texas Governor Greg Abbott outdoing Ron DeSantis in IMPORTING over 11,000 illegals into America since April.

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office says more than 11,000 migrants have been transported to cities run by Democratic mayors since April.
The governor gave the new numbers as part of an update on the progress of the governor’s border security-focused Operation Lone Star.
The governor’s office says more than 8,000 asylum seekers have been sent to Washington, D.C. since April, more than 2,500 to New York City since August 5 and more than 600 Texas migrants have been bused to Chicago.
The program requires asylum seekers from the border to volunteer to take the trip across the country. Gov. Abbott’s office says the program is “providing much-needed relief to our overwhelmed border communities.”
On Thursday, 2 buses of migrants from Texas arrived outside of Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence in Washington, D.C.
“The Biden-Harris Administration continues ignoring and denying the historic crisis at our southern border, which has endangered and overwhelmed Texas communities for almost two years,” said Gov. Abbott. “Our supposed Border Czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to see firsthand the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement, even going so far as to claim the border is ‘secure.’”
Gov. Abbott’s border plan has led to harsh criticism from Democrats.
Abbott’s challenger in November’s election, former Congressman Beto O’Rourke, tweeted on Friday “Abbott is all stunts, all the time. I’ll be a governor who is focused on solutions and on delivering for the people of Texas.”
Take note that Fox News reported these as mere migrants, not illegal immigrants.

A construction company that employed a number of illegal aliens is coming under fire after one of those illegal hires allegedly killed Pinellas County, Florida, Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hartwick and another allegedly helped cover up the incident.
As Breitbart News reported, 32-year-old illegal alien Juan Ariel Molina-Salles from Honduras has been arrested and charged with killing Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hartwick in a hit-and-run crash as the deputy was working detail on a construction site.
Government Disclosed Jan. 6 Activities of 5 Confidential FBI Sources: Defense Lawyer
The U.S. government has acknowledged for the first time that five FBI confidential informants were involved with the Oath Keepers on Jan. 6, 2021, but prosecutors failed to disclose that none of the sources provided evidence of guilt, a defense lawyer said on Sept. 26.
FBI officials have repeatedly declined in congressional hearings to say whether there were agents or confidential human sources (CHS) in the crowd when the U.S. Capitol was breached on Jan. 6. But in pretrial communications in the Oath Keepers’ seditious conspiracy case, prosecutors disclosed that there were five sources informing on the Oath Keepers, David Fischer, who is representing defendant Thomas Caldwell, said in the new filing.
“What the Government knew—but only recently disclosed to the Defendants—was that none of the CHSes provided evidence of guilt on the part of the Oath Keepers as an organization, or the individual Defendants in this case,” Fischer said.
He said the fact was confirmed by the government telling defense lawyers that only one of the informants will take the stand during the Sept. 27 trial of former Oath Keepers leader Elmer Stewart Rhodes III and four others, including Caldwell.
Top FBI officials have declined to answer questions on how many, if any, informants were at the Capitol around the time of the breach.
“I can’t answer that,” Jill Sanborn, the FBI assistant director for national security, told Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during one hearing.
But prosecutors in a recent motion disclosed that multiple sources have been involved in the investigation into the Oath Keepers, a group comprised of former and current members of the military, law enforcement, and first responders.
“At trial, the government or defense may call to testify certain CHSes who were either involved in the investigation that led to prosecution of the defendants, or who became CHSes subsequent to the initiation of the instant investigation,” prosecutors said in the motion, which asked U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta, an Obama appointee overseeing the case, to impose a protective order.
Prosecutors want defense lawyers barred from asking any questions seeking personal identifying information from any informant witnesses, including their date of birth; any questions about the witnesses’ participation in investigations outside of the probe in question; and any questions about training in the FBI’s CHS program.
“The protections requested herein, while minimally restrictive, would ensure the integrity of any ongoing investigations and would reduce the security threat posed to any testifying CHSes,” prosecutors said in the filing, which has not yet drawn a ruling from Mehta.

House Republicans Ask DOD About Chinese Farmland Purchase Near North Dakota Air Force Base
Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) and 50 other Republicans on Tuesday sent a letter to the Secretaries of Defense, Treasury, and Agriculture asking them to address a Chinese company’s purchase of farmland near an Air Force base in North Dakota where sensitive national security activities are conducted.
A Chinese company, Fufeng Group, has purchased land purportedly for a wet corn milling plant near the Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota for $700 million, raising questions about the potential of Chinese espionage.
Trump Wins Ruling in Rape Accuser Carroll’s Defamation Lawsuit
A federal appeals court in Manhattan handed former President Donald Trump a procedural victory Tuesday in a defamation lawsuit, after famed columnist E. Jean Carroll claimed that Trump had raped her in the 1990s.
In a two-to-one decision on Sept. 27, the panel on the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that a lower court erred when it ruled that Carroll could sue Trump for defamatory statements during his presidency, given that a federal law, known as the Westfall Act, shields government employees from liability in work-related incidents.
Carroll, 78, sued Trump in 2019, claiming the Republican sexually assaulted her in the mid-1990s in a dressing room at a Bergdorf Goodman department store in Manhattan. Because the alleged attack happened decades ago, Carroll was originally barred from suing over sexual battery, pushing her to sue for defamation over allegedly disparaging comments Trump made about the rape allegation.
Trump denied her allegation at the time and accused her of using false claims as a way to promote her book. “I’ll say it with great respect: Number one, she’s not my type. Number two, it never happened,” the-then president told The Hill in an interview at the White House in June 2019.
The D.C. Court of Appeals is now asked to weigh in on whether Trump was acting within the scope of his presidential duties when he denied raping Carroll and dismissed her during the interview. If Trump was, he would be entitled to immunity from the lawsuit, according to the ruling by the 2nd Circuit judges. And while the U.S. government can be sued over some wrongdoing by its employees, it is immune from defamation lawsuits, which would mean Carroll’s suit would fail.
In a majority opinion written by Circuit Judge Guido Calabresi on Tuesday, two members of the 2nd Circuit’s three-judge panel declined to further address the defamation action while the matter was “of extreme public importance.”
“We do not pass judgment or express any view as to whether Trump’s public statements were indeed defamatory or whether the sexual assault allegations had, in fact, occurred,” the judges said.
For decades now, the federal government and their cohorts in law enforcement have been carrying out the theft of the citizenry on a massive scale using Civil Asset Forfeiture (CAF).
The 1980s-era laws were designed to drain resources from powerful criminal organizations, but CAF has become a tool for law enforcement agencies across the U.S. to steal money and property from countless innocent people.
As the following case out of Beverly Hills illustrates, no criminal charge is required for this confiscation, resulting in easy inflows of cash for law enforcement departments and the proliferation of abuse. This phenomenon is known as “policing for profit” and the latest example is exceedingly egregious.
A year after we originally reported this story, we are finding out just how egregious it actually was with the release of newly unsealed court documents. According to the documents, the FBI misled the judge who approved the warrant and used this bogus warrant to steal from and violate the rights of hundreds of innocent people.
Using bogus excuses, the FBI raided roughly 1,400 safety deposit boxes at a single location in Beverly Hills. They made random and apparently unsubstantiated accusations that the U.S. Private Vaults location in Beverly Hills was aiding criminal activity. The business was indicted in Feb. 2020 on claims that it marketed itself to criminals to help them launder money and dodge government detection.
But no one was ever charged and the claims were bogus. Now, taxpayers will likely be held liable as there is a massive lawsuit filed on behalf of the victims whose rights were trampled and many of whom have never gotten back their property.
Trump Reveals His Biggest Fear, Warns ‘We’re at the Most Dangerous Time … Maybe Ever’
Former President Donald Trump said his biggest worry now is where geopolitical tensions over Ukraine and Taiwan may be headed, saying that he thinks “we could end up in World War III” and that the conflict could go nuclear.
Trump, in a Sept. 27 appearance on the “Cats at Night Show,” was asked about his chief concerns and what keeps him “up at night.”
“More than anything else, I think we could end up in World War III,” the former president replied.
He said World War III could be sparked by “all of the horrible things that took place in Ukraine,” adding that it “looks like it’s going to happen in China with Taiwan … you see what’s going on over there.”
China’s communist regime recently ramped up its military threat against the self-ruled island of Taiwan, which Beijing views as its own territory to be taken by force, if necessary.
“China has acted increasingly aggressively when it comes to Taiwan,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a recent interview, according to CBS News. “That poses a threat to peace and stability in the entire region.”
Even though the United States ended formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan in 1979 and switched recognition to Beijing under the “One China” policy, Washington maintains a robust unofficial relationship with Taipei and is legally bound to provide it with the arms necessary to defend itself.
Tensions in Ukraine, on the other hand, have taken a turn for the worse as Ukrainian forces launched a major counteroffensive, prompting Russian President Vladimir Putin to mobilize more troops and suggest in a speech on Sept. 21 that Moscow was prepared to use nuclear weapons in the conflict.
In his interview, Trump commented on Putin’s remarks and the nuclear threat.
“I think we’re at the most dangerous time maybe in many, many years—maybe ever—because of the power of nuclear,” Trump said.
“For a major nation that’s equal with us on nuclear power to be throwing around the word cavalierly, like nuclear, is a very bad time. A very bad time for this country and a very bad and a very dangerous time for the world,” Trump added.
Trump once again expressed the view that if he were still in the White House, Putin would not have ordered his troops into Ukraine.
“I got along with him very well. I spoke to him. I understood him,” Trump said of Putin. “He understood me, probably. But I understood him well, and he would have never done it.”

If you look at local and regional media outlets, you will see one very consistent message: new foreclosure filings are increasing.
The measures differ depending upon geography, but the national trend, which has been apparent for months, is that the increase, year over year, is somewhere around twice what it was in 2021 and is nearing 2008 levels in many communities.
But if you look at press releases from Black Knight you will see that reported increases in delinquencies and foreclosures are at their lowest point in years.
I might add that our own services are strained by requests from homeowners — an increase of about 300%.
So why is there a difference? Or, more specifically, why does Black Knight want people to believe that foreclosures are not a problem when they are spiking? Or even more specifically, who is Black Knight trying to convince?
The answer to all of the questions is the answer to the last question: Who is Black Knight seeking to convince?
They are trying to convince prospective investors who continue to buy worthless certificates that masquerade as mortgage-backed securities. Those certificates are (a) not securities (b) not backed and (c) have nothing to do with the ownership of mortgage loan accounts.
The value of the certificates occurs strictly by virtue of an artificial marketplace that poses as an exchange, but which is entirely controlled by ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) which also owns MERS the NYSE etc.
In plain language, the “value quoted on the “exchange” is the value of the certificate even though it only represents the potential receipt of monies paid in satisfaction of a discretionary promise from investment banks who are operating under fictitious names like “U.S. Bank as trustee for the Structured Asset Security Corporation pass-through certificates series 2006-A01.”
Breitbart Business Digest: We May Have Hit Peak Disinflation
While a lot of the commentary on inflation has centered around the idea that we may have passed peak inflation, the more relevant question is whether we have already had peak disinflation.
The July headline figure of zero for the Consumer Price Index (CPI) sparked a lot of talk about peak inflation. The one-month figure was down from 1.3 percent in June, and the 12-month figure fell from 9.1 percent to 8.5 percent. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, so-called core CPI rose 5.9 annually and 0.3 percent monthly, even with the prior month. Median CPI, a good proxy for underlying inflation, rose 0.5 compared with the prior month, a slowdown from 0.7 percent. The Cleveland Fed’s 16 percent trimmed mean CPI rose by just 0.4 percent, half the pace of the 0.8 percent recorded in June.
For the folks who had been pronouncing that inflation was about to roll over ever since it started rising, this was very exciting. Never mind that there had been several head-fakes in the past, including a two-month decline in the 12-month figure in the summer of 2021 and a one month decline in April of 2021. Both of those were declared peak inflation at the time, only to see inflation rear back up again. At least this time there had been four rate hikes to support the idea that inflation might be coming down, rather than just a hope for immaculate disinflation.
Poll: 71% of Workers Are Poorer Under Biden’s Inflation, up from February’s 58%
Seventy-one percent of employees are poorer under the weight of President Joe Biden’s inflation, up from 58 percent in February, a Bank of America-sponsored survey shows.
The poll, revealed by CNN on Tuesday, sampled individuals in July who have 401(k) plans. Half of those sampled said they had taken measures to “cope” with Biden’s soaring prices in the last six months. Sixty-two percent said they are “stressed” about their personal finances despite being employees.
From year to date, consumer prices soared 8.3 percent in August, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed in September. In June, inflation reached a 40-year-high at 9.1 percent, just above August’s numbers. The price of food at home jumped 0.7 percent compared with the previous month. Over the past 12 months, grocery prices have gone up 13.5 percent.
Biden’s inflation, fueled by massive spending and arbitrarily placed constraints on the economy during the pandemic, is not just impacting low-income families. The poll found only 44 percent of employees believe they are financially well off under Biden’s leadership, down from 57 percent in February.
Company Recalls All of Its Electric Trucks
Nikola Corp. is recalling all 93 battery-electric Nikola Tre Class 8 trucks it has built to date because improper installation of the shoulder anchorage assembly of the seat belts could reduce protection in a crash.
Nikola imports cabs from Italy, where they are built by manufacturing partner Iveco, which is responsible for the defect.
The electric truck maker began regular production at a new plant in Coolidge, Arizona, in March. It reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Sept. 14 that it has no warranty or customer claims for the issue.
The assembly as designed and installed could become detached under the weight of a passenger. The seat belt anchor assembly design does not allow full thread engagement for the anchor bolt. It may cause cross threading, a condition in which a fastening screw does not engage correctly with a nut.
Discovered during predelivery inspection
During a predelivery inspection at a dealership on July 18, a Nikola employee discovered the shoulder anchorage on the passenger side seat belt was disconnected from the B-pillar adjuster. Nikola told Iveco, which said the final torque on the passenger seat belt shoulder anchorage was not installed to specification.
Nikola will replace the components of the seat belt anchor assembly and the adjuster on all vehicles for free. The replacement component is narrower than the original, allowing the assembly to completely thread.
Customer and dealer letters about the defect will be mailed between Oct. 1 and Nov. 1.
The NHTSA recall number is 22V689.
Milton trial resumes Wednesday
Separately, the federal fraud trial for Nikola founder Trevor Milton resumes Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Dour market conditions, and possibly attention from the trial, dragged Nikola’s stock price 24.02% lower last week to close at $3.89 a share, just above its 52-week low of $3.82.

Alabama GOP Senate Hopeful Katie Britt Blasts China’s TikTok – ‘A Trojan Horse that Steals Data’
Alabama’s likely next U.S. Senator, GOP nominee Katie Britt spoke out against Chinese-owned TikTok on Monday, warning it was a “Trojan horse that steals data to give to the Chinese Communist Party.”
Britt took to Twitter to voice disapproval of the social media platform.
Her remarks come as TikTok seeks a deal with the Biden administration to resolve security concerns. However, she argued no agreement was possible as long as TikTok maintained its ties to the Chinese government.
In a statement given to Breitbart News, Britt noted the bipartisan agreement on the threat potential threat from Chinese-owned TikTok and added that the Chinese regime’s behavior had done little to earn Americans’ trust.
“As parents, we used to be able to keep our children safe at night by locking the doors,” she said. “However, as technology has advanced, it is clear that the danger can now be inside our homes on our devices. While I share the same concerns related to TikTok about the quiet damage that social media apps in general are doing to our children, TikTok is uniquely dangerous in that it’s also a serious national security risk. This is something that has been affirmed previously by the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and State, and these concerns are shared across the aisle — including by the Democratic chair and Republican vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.”
Meta Removes Chinese and Russian Political Influence Networks Ahead of US Midterms
Meta, Facebook’s parent company, on Tuesday said it removed accounts linked to two unconnected covert operations in China and Russia seeking to influence political narratives in the United States ahead of the midterms in November.
In addition to seeking to influence U.S. domestic politics ahead of the midterms, the Chinese operation targeted the Czech Republic’s foreign policy toward China and Ukraine, and to a lesser extent, Chinese- and French-speaking people around the world, according to Meta.
Ben Nimmo, Meta’s global threat intelligence lead, said at a press briefing that, unlike previous Chinese operations which bad-mouthed the United States in South Asia, the new efforts targeted messages to “Americans themselves,” pushing narratives aimed at divisive U.S. domestic issues like abortion and gun rights.
When asked about the issue, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said his office is “very concerned” about reports of foreign election interference both new and old, Reuters reported.
Meta said the Russian network was the “largest of its kind” disrupted by the company since the war in Ukraine began. That operation primarily focused on Germany, France, Italy, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom with “narratives focused on the war and its impact.”
The Russia-based operation included a sprawling network of over 60 websites impersonating legitimate news organizations, according to Meta.
The company said it shared information related to its investigation with tech companies, security researchers, governments, and law enforcement, so that “they too can take appropriate action.”
“At the end of our full report, we’re also including threat indicators to help the security community detect and counter malicious activity elsewhere on the internet,” the company said in a news release.
Twitter has also taken down accounts connected to the operations, Reuters reported.
SURVEILLANCE STATE
Transit authorities in cities across the country are quietly installing microphone-enabled surveillance systems on public buses that would give them the ability to record and store private conversations, according to documents obtained by a news outlet.
The systems are being installed in San Francisco, Baltimore, and other cities with funding from the Department of Homeland Security in some cases, according to the Daily, which obtained copies of contracts, procurement requests, specs and other documents.
The use of the equipment raises serious questions about eavesdropping without a warrant, particularly since recordings of passengers could be obtained and used by law enforcement agencies.
It also raises questions about security, since the IP audio-video systems can be accessed remotely via a built-in web server (.pdf), and can be combined with GPS data to track the movement of buses and passengers throughout the city.
According to the product pamphlet for the RoadRecorder 7000 system made by SafetyVision (.pdf), “Remote connectivity to the RoadRecorder 7000 NVR can be established via the Gigabit Ethernet port or the built-in 3G modem. A robust software ecosystem including LiveTrax vehicle tracking and video streaming service combined with SafetyNet central management system allows authorized users to check health status, create custom alerts, track vehicles, automate event downloads and much more.”
The systems use cables or WiFi to pair audio conversations with camera images in order to produce synchronous recordings. Audio and video can be monitored in real-time, but are also stored onboard in blackbox-like devices, generally for 30 days, for later retrieval. Four to six cameras with mics are generally installed throughout a bus, including one near the driver and one on the exterior of the bus.
Cities that have installed the systems or have taken steps to procure them include San Francisco, California; Eugene, Oregon; Traverse City, Michigan; Columbus, Ohio; Baltimore Maryland; Hartford, Connecticut; and Athens, Georgia.

- Refined Grains

Certain whole grains are also called “ancient grains” and include things like rolled oats, buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, teff and millet.
According to researchers at Harvard Medical School, consuming ancient whole grains as part of an otherwise balanced diet can have benefits like supplying lots of fiber, reducing hunger, lowering high blood pressure and improving cholesterol levels. That’s because only unprocessed whole-grain kernels include three beneficial parts — the bran, endosperm and germ — meaning they don’t have their phytonutrients, vitamins and antioxidants removed.
- Canola Oil and Other Processed Vegetable Oils
Although we often hear that vegetable oils are a healthier alternative to things like saturated fats from dairy products, coconut oil or dark meat, some research suggests this isn’t necessarily true. When vegetable oils, such as canola oil, safflower oil or sunflower oil, replace all saturated fat in your diet, you may miss out on some benefits as a result.
In general, when it comes to including healthy fats in your diet, consuming the wrong types and amounts may wind up interfering with appetite regulation, your mood, hormone production and digestion, all of which can keep you from losing the “last 10 pounds” or seeing the results you’re looking for.
What to do instead: To get the benefits of different fatty acids, it’s wise to vary your intake. I recommend replacing all processed vegetables oils with unrefined, ideally organic and virgin oils, including coconut oil or real olive oil.
- “Healthy” Chips, Pretzels and Crackers
So-called “healthy” chips usually contain processed vegetable oils, including safflower or sunflower oils, which as described above are high in omega-6 fats. Chips, crackers, etc., also contain lots of mostly empty starches/carbs and are very high in sodium.
Depending on the kind, these ultra-processed foods might also contain trans fats, such as partially hydrogenated oils, which are linked with numerous health problems.
What to do instead: If you want to start revving up your metabolism, remove empty sources of calories and too much omega-6s from your diet. I also recommend that for better digestive health you try switching to almond butter from peanut butter.
Nutrition-rich almonds are high in the amino acid L-arginine, which increases HGH production in your body. They are filling, especially when combined with something bulky like an apple that’s high in fiber, helping control your appetite and supporting growth of lean muscle.
- Granola
This “health food” has had a health halo around it for years, but it’s secretly been hiding as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Today’s popular granola brands have many issues, mostly because they are sky-high in sugar, calories and processed grains.
A measly half-cup serving of granola can set you back more than 250 calories, and it’s very unlikely to leave you feeling full or satisfied for long.

Artificial sweeteners tell the lie that you can satisfy your sweet tooth with no calories, no guilt and a thinner waist line. I was recently lucky enough to be able to book a ferry from the UK to France. After years of stifling regulation on free movement, in August of 2022, one could finally travel across the English Channel without nasal swabs, without saliva tests; and without presenting government sanctioned barcodes. It only took us 3 years to get over the coronavirus paranoia and back to a calmer state of affairs. For that we should be thankful.
Now on the booking page for the ferry something caught my eye. It was an optional tickbox at the bottom of the form. It said: “Would you like to pay £2.50 to offset the carbon footprint for your journey?”. This piqued my interest and so I dug deeper. For starters, I followed the link provided to carbonfootprint.com. It explains the basics of a carbon footprint and the dogma of the greenhouse effect in excessively simple terms. In fact there are a number of typographical errors in their website. Here you can learn that: “Climate Change (also known as Global Warming) [has caused temperature rise] … with increasingly levels of human activity.” [sic]. It reminds me of projects in school where someone would copy and paste sections of text from a website and hand it in as their own work. Thus, I deemed this website no great authority on the subject.
However, this company registered an income of over £7 million in 2022 so far. This money comes from their carbon calculator service – which pretty much converts ‘miles travelled’ to ‘tons of CO2’ and then offers a byway into a carbon offset marketplace. In fact Carbon markets have expanded to over £250 billion in the last year, and the World Economic Forum points to it as the main means of fighting climate change1. This burgeoning carbon offset market is also being underpinned by the drive to force businesses into the new globalist corporate compliance scheme known as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), which is supposed to represent an organisation’s corporate financial interests which are meant to focus on “sustainable and ethical impacts.” All in all, it looks like a great business to be in right now – people will throw money at you to assuage their guilt over the nefarious carbon they emit just by existing. The ferry company simply offers a tickbox, funnelling money over to a middleman to purchase carbon offsets, also known as carbon credits, on your behalf.
Texas Joins Coalition Demanding Senate Reject Energy Bill They Say Undermines States’ Rights
Texas has joined a Louisiana-led coalition of 17 state attorneys general opposing a rushed U.S. Senate bill they say would let the Biden administration “run roughshod over states’ rights” by advancing a “radically impractical energy agenda.”
Meanwhile, the White House sees the legislation as enabling and connecting “clean energy” into the country’s electricity grid.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Monday co-signed a letter to Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) opposing the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2022, saying it is effectively a back door to the failed Obama-era Clean Power Plan.
According to the letter, the bill contains three interrelated provisions that, when taken together, allow private companies and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to eviscerate states’ ability to chart their own land-use and energy policies.
“First, it would authorize private companies to use eminent domain against state land. Second, it would authorize FERC to command utilities to construct entirely new transmission facilities whenever and wherever FERC deems necessary,” the letter states (pdf).
“And third, it would authorize companies to spread costs of constructing new transmission facilities onto residents of other states, requiring citizens of one state to subsidize the agenda of politicians and bureaucrats in other states.”
Under eminent domain, a governmental authority can seize property from a private or public owner for public purposes.
Paxton’s office said in a statement that this would allow the Biden administration, largely through the FERC, to “run roughshod over states’ rights by advancing a radically impractical energy agenda, all while forcing taxpayers to foot the bill.”

COVID-19 Vaccines Can Make Women’s Periods Longer: Study
A study shows that COVID-19 vaccines can make women’s periods last longer, coming months after another paper found the shots are linked to increased menstural bleeding.
In a study published Sept. 27 in the British Medical Journal, researchers documented how COVID-19 vaccines can alter menstrual cycles and how long the impact could last.
A team of researchers led by Dr. Alison Edelman, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University, analyzed about 20,000 vaccinated and 5,000 unvaccinated women around the world. They obtained their data from a period-tracking app called Natural Cycles.
The team found that any COVID-19 vaccine can extend the menstrual cycle. Women who got the shot experienced approximately a one-day delay in getting their periods, compared with women who did not.
“These findings provide additional information for counseling women on what to expect after vaccination,” said Diana Bianchi, the head of the National Institute of Health’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, said in a news release. “Changes following vaccination appear to be small, within the normal range of variation, and temporary.”
The study did not say why COVID-19 vaccines appear to be affecting the menstrual cycle. Edelman told The Washington Post that the immune and reproductive systems are connected and said that post-vaccine inflammation could be the cause.
The CDC published a study surveying young people who suffered from myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination in The Lancet on Sep. 21, showing the organization’s “biased selective analysis” and dismissing severe reactions to the controversial vaccines, according to cardiologist Dr. Sanjay Verma.
The Lancet published the survey of young people ages 12 to 29 who suffered from myocarditis—a severe heart inflammation disease—after taking a COVID vaccine, based on VAERS reports from Jan. 12 to Nov. 5, 2021.
The survey assessed patient outcomes at least 90 days after the onset of myocarditis symptoms after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination.
The Lancet publication shows that at least 90 days after myocarditis symptoms appeared, about 26 percent of surveyed young people still needed daily medication because of heart inflammation. Thirty percent of them said they felt pain and 20 percent said they had problems with their daily activities.
“ACIP [Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices] presentations have given us a glimpse of this data over the past year; however, this formal analysis truly underscores CDC’s biased selective analysis to advance an oversimplified agenda that may be causing irreparable harm,” Verma told The Epoch Times.
The CDC concludes in the study that “despite the higher than expected occurrence of myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination, the benefits of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to outweigh the risk of myocarditis.”

In a First Amendment victory for political free speech, a state circuit court has overturned fines totaling $3000 against two protesters for displaying “F@#k Biden” and other political signs in violation of a Florida city’s ban on “indecent” speech, which the court found to be unconstitutional.
The ruling by the Charlotte County Circuit Court comes in response to two legal actions, Massey v. City of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Sheets v. City of Punta Gorda, Fla., filed by The Rutherford Institute. Institute attorneys had appealed to the court on behalf of two protesters fined a total of $3000 by the Code Enforcement Board for the City of Punta Gorda, Fla., for displaying political messages stating “F@#k Biden,” “F@#k Trump,” and “F@#k Policing 4 Profit” in violation of the city’s sign ordinance. In challenging the ordinance, Institute attorneys argued that the ban on “indecent speech” violates the First Amendment’s prohibition on government content-based and viewpoint regulations which censor and punish speech.
Affiliate attorney Phares Heindl assisted in advocating for the protesters’ right to political expression under the First Amendment.

Elderly Michigan Woman Shot While Campaigning Against Pro-Abortion Ballot Proposal
An 84-year-old volunteer canvasser in Michigan was shot following an argument while distributing pro-life pamphlets door-to-door in her community about a state abortion ballot proposal.
According to a Sept. 24 statement from Right to Life of Michigan, a “heated conversation” took place on Sept. 20 between one of its local volunteers and an occupant of a home in Odessa, a small community near Grand Rapids.
As the volunteer was leaving the residence, she was allegedly shot in the rear part of her shoulder by a man who hadn’t been a part of the discussion.
Grand Rapids TV 8 reported on Sept. 23 that the wounded woman drove herself to the Lake Odessa Police Department to report the shooting.
