Today’s Top 5:

1. Federal Agency Issues Air Quality Alerts for Millions of Americans

Smoke and haze from Canadian wildfires engulfs eastern United States – Smoke from ongoing Canadian wildfires has prompted air quality alerts for millions of Americans across the northeastern and mid-Atlantic U.S. states.

As of early on June 7, at least 13 states have issued air quality alerts in some areas because of wildfires in the province of Quebec, saying the smoke has filled the skies with an unhealthy haze.

a). New York smoke forces ground stop, delay at LaGuardia and Newark airports

As bad as the NYC air quality was Wednesday morning, all three of NYC’s airports were operating normally. But as the skies darkened, that changed.

b). NYC Mayor Adams, health commissioner warn New Yorkers to mask up as air quality dips to worst since 1960s

2. VIDEO: Christian Man Arrested While Preaching at Pennsylvania Pride Event

Police in Reading, Pennsylvania, arrested street preacher Damon Atkins for speaking briefly at a pride event at Reading City Hall. The arrest was caught on video on June 3 by Matthew Wear of Reading, another street preacher.

For the last three years, the city of Reading has flown a pride flag at city hall during June.

The group Reading Pride Celebration partnered with the city for the flag raising event this year. Members of the LGBT community gathered for the flag raising before marching in a short pride parade—about three and a half blocks—on the way to a park where there was a rainbow pride celebration with speakers and free food, Reading Pride Celebration Executive Director Enrique Castro told The Epoch Times.

3. Supreme Court Leaves Social Media Liability Shield Untouched

The Supreme Court crackdown on social media platforms’ liability shield for user content that many observers expected in a pair of recent high-profile cases never came.

Much to the relief of Silicon Valley, the Supreme Court sidestepped the issue in its much anticipated May 18 rulings in Twitter Inc. v. Taamneh and Gonzalez v. Google LLC. The decisions left in place the legal status quo regarding liability, at least for the time being.

Big Tech and its supporters had been deeply concerned that the court could eviscerate Section 230 of the federal Communications Decency Act of 1996, which generally prevents internet platforms and internet service providers from being held liable for what users say on them. They say the legal provision, sometimes called “the 26 words that created the internet,” has fostered a climate online in which free speech has flourished.

4. Comer on FBI’s Wray Failure to Comply with Subpoena: ‘I Wouldn’t Want to Be Held in Contempt of Congress and End Up in Prison’

During an appearance on Tuesday’s broadcast of “Fox News Tonight,” Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, explained how the FBI was doing all it could to block the release of a document related to a possible investigation involving President Joe Biden.

Comer disputed his counterpart, House Oversight Committee ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin’s (D-MD) public account of the document in question.

The Kentucky lawmaker also hinted at possible prison time for FBI Director Christopher Wray for not complying with the congressional subpoena.

“If Christopher Wray doesn’t turn that document over, is he going to go to prison?” FNC host Harris Faulkner asked.

“Well, that’s up to Christopher Wray,” Comer replied. “I know that I wouldn’t want to be held in contempt of Congress and end up in prison being the former head of the FBI. Look, this is a simple request. This is not a classified document. They acted like it didn’t even exist. So, just hand the document over.”

5. WATCH: Volcano Erupts on Hawaii’s Big Island

Kilauea volcano, located along the southeastern shore of the Big Island of Hawaii, began erupting Wednesday morning at 4:44 local time.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) Hawaiian Volcano Observatory cameras detected a glow coming from the volcano in the early morning hours.

“Webcam imagery shows fissures at the base of Halemaʻumaʻu crater generating lava flows on the surface of the crater floor,” USGS said. “The activity is confined to Halemaʻumaʻu and the hazards will be reassessed as the eruption progresses.”

WHO Is Planing Another Pandemic ‘Simulation’

The World Health Organization has called for a “simulation” of another global pandemic so it can be assured that the totalitarian control mechanisms built into its pandemic accord are effective against the slave class. This reeks of the Event 201 simulation that occurred on October 18th, 2019, oddly not long before COVID-19 became a pandemic.

According to a report by ZeroHedge, 194 nations continue to work through drafts of pandemic agreements that would grant more authority to the World Health Organization (WHO), the GPMB (Global Preparedness Monitoring Board), a body convened by the WHO. These self-declared masters have called for a worldwide pandemic simulation to be carried out by the end of this year to test the effectiveness of the new terms before member nations sign them in 2024.

“We feel very strongly that we cannot wait for the next emergency to find out how well the pandemic accord and the IHR amendments will work; we need to know now,” Joy Phumaphi, co-chair of the GPMB, stated on May 22. “We, therefore, suggest that Member States, together with other key stakeholders, carry out a simulation exercise based on the draft accord and draft IHR amendments later this year, before they are finalized and adopted.”

“A simulation exercise beforehand, and robust monitoring and accountability following their adoption, are two ways you can ensure these important instruments fulfill their potential and that we are ready for the next pandemic,” it reads.

This is a lot like the Event 201 coronavirus simulation the rulers ran before claiming COVID-19 was a “pandemic.”

Universal Basic Income (UBI) Tested In England

Plans have been announced to trial a universal basic income (UBI) in England that would see up to 30 people receive an unconditional payment of £1,600 (€1,854) a month.

Under the scheme, which is the first of its kind in England, residents in central Jarrow, northeast England, and East Finchley, north London, will be handed the funds each month for two years, and researchers will monitor the effect the payment has on their work ethic and mental well-being.

The trial run has been organized by the progressive Autonomy think tank, which is seeking to fund the £1.6 million (€1.85 million) scheme through private donors. The initiative is not being paid for by U.K. taxpayers and is not affiliated with the British government.

“Our society is going to require some form of basic income in the coming years, given the tumult of climate change, tech disruption and industrial transition that lies ahead,” claimed Will Stronge, Autonomy’s director of research.

“This is why building the evidence base and public engagement now is so important, so the ground is well prepared for national implementation.”

He explained that researchers were interested to note the effect the UBI payment would have on people’s mental and physical health, as well as their desire to continue working.

Recipients will be free to carry on earning their own salary if they wish and will receive the payment on top of any employment income.

“All the evidence shows that UBI would directly alleviate poverty and boost millions of people’s well-being: the potential benefits are just too large to ignore,” Stronge added.

Americans Warned Against Going to Caribbean Tourist Destination Over Concerns of Violence

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday issued a travel advisory for U.S. citizens traveling to the Dominican Republic due to a recent increase in sexual assaults and violent crime.

A yellow-colored, level two advisory was issued for travelers going to the Caribbean tourist hotspot that they should “exercise increased caution,” according to the bulletin.

“Violent crime, including armed robbery, homicide and sexual assault is a concern throughout the Dominican Republic,” said the State Department in its advisory. “The wide availability of weapons, the use and trade of illicit drugs, and a weak criminal justice system contribute to the high level of criminality on the broader scale.”

Turkey Arrests Underaged Teen for Doodling Hitler Mustache on Erdogan

The Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet reported on Tuesday that police in the southern city of Mersin had arrested a 16-year-old boy on charges of “insulting the president,” a crime in Turkey, for drawing a Hitler mustache on a poster of strongman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The incident reportedly involved one of several Erdoğan posters adorning the city in the aftermath of last month’s presidential election. According to Cumhuriyet, police found a poster with insults scribbled on it and Erdoğan sporting a Hitler mustache. Using surveillance footage, law enforcement officers identified the culprit as the 16-year-old. The child admitted to drawing the mustache but said he did not write the insults, suggesting someone else had added them later. Police detained him in a juvenile facility.

Saudi Arabia Wins the Golf War

In a shocking move, the PGA Tour announced on Tuesday that it would merge with LIV Golf after years of resisting the pull of the rival Saudi-funded organization. The deal was such a surprise that several PGA players reportedly weren’t even informed of it beforehand.

In the end, it may not be so astonishing that a league built by and for rich guys took the money. But for the past three years, the PGA has waged a ferocious PR and legal campaign against LIV, in part by claiming the moral high ground. In 2020, PGA commissioner Jay Monahan warned its stars that if they played on the LIV tour, they would be suspended from PGA play. Last year, the PGA suspended 17 players, including Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson, after they appeared in LIV tournaments; Mickelson, the highest-profile PGA apostate, had reportedly signed a deal for $200 million with its competitor.

The PGA even filed an antitrust lawsuit against LIV, claiming that the league, which is backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, was using “astronomical sums of money” to peel away golfers and using “the game of golf to sportswash the recent history of Saudi atrocities.”

The suit was dismissed on Tuesday, and the PGA’s resistance has been washed away in a monsoon of cash. “After two years of disruption and distraction, this is a historic day for the game we all know and love,” Monahan said in the announcement.

According to the terms of the agreement, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund (formally known as the Public Investment Fund) is making a “capital investment” as the “exclusive investor” in the league, which combines LIV, PGA, and the PGA European Tour. (Any players suspended for joining LIV will go through a “fair and objective process” to rejoin the PGA Tour after the 2023 season.) While the PGA will retain a majority of votes on the board of directors, the board’s chairman will be Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the governor of the Saudi sovereign wealth fund. On the side, Al-Rumayyan serves as the chairman of the soccer team Newcastle United. Oh, and he’s also the chairman of Saudi Aramco.

Mike Pence at CNN Town Hall: No Pardons For J6 Participants, Trump ‘Should Never Be President Again’

Former Vice President Mick Pence took the stage at a CNN Town Hall Wednesday on his 64th birthday in front of Republican voters in Des Moines, Iowa. Oddly, the event occurred on the same day that CNN chief Chris Licht is out at the network, in no small part because he backed a Trump Town Hall that caused the snowflakes at the “most trusted name in news” to openly rebel.

Pence, the former Indiana congressman, governor, and wingman to Trump, talked about Jan. 6, why he wants to be president, abortion, Ukraine, and a variety of topics in the 90-minute talk with host Dana Bash.

Deadly Bacterium Declared ‘Locally Endemic’ Along Part of Gulf Coast

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) discovered a bacterium that causes a disease with a roughly 50% fatality rate living in soil and stagnant water along part of the 1,600 miles of United States Gulf Coast and have declared it “locally endemic” in those areas.

  1. pseudomallei causes Melioidosis, which has a wide range of symptoms, often causing a misdiagnosis of the disease for something else. Symptoms include “fever, joint pain, and headaches and [it] can cause conditions that include pneumonia, abscess formation, or blood infections,” according to the CDC.

Tucker Carlson’s Twitter Debut Produces Huge Numbers

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s first Twitter show on Tuesday night went viral, generating more than 85 million “views” in less than 24 hours.

In a 10-minute-long monologue, Tucker made reference to the destruction of a dam in Ukraine. He also claimed that legacy news outlets have ignored the “bombshell of the millennium” after a government whistleblower revealed that spacecraft made by non-human intelligence have been recovered by governments around the world.

“Nobody knows what’s happening. A small group of people control accesses to all relevant information. And the rest of us don’t know. We’re allowed to yap all we want about racism, but go ahead and talk about something that really matters and see what happens. If you keep it up, they’ll make you be quiet. Trust us. That’s how they maintain control,” Carlson stated.

Toward the end of the show, Carlson suggested that he would leave the platform if Twitter opts to censor him. Carlson then signed off the show, now called “Tucker on Twitter,” saying that he will be back on the platform with “much more, very soon.”

“As of today, we have come to Twitter, which we hope will be the short wave radio under the blankets,” Carlson, who spoke in what appeared to be a home studio, said toward the end of the video. “We’re told there are no gatekeepers here. If that turns out to be false, we’ll leave. But in the meantime, we’re grateful to be here.”

Nolte: Tucker-Less Fox News Loses Monday Primetime to MSNBC

In what could be a sign of things to come, far-left MSNBC stole the total primetime viewership crown from Fox News on Monday night.

With Rachel Maddow in the anchor chair, MSNBC was able to average 1.858 million Monday night viewers. Without Tucker Carlson in the anchor chair, the cucks at Fox News managed to attract only 1.726 million average viewers.

CONSUMER WARNING:

Don’t Store Cash in Venmo, PayPal, and Other Payment Apps, Financial Watchdog Warns

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is warning consumers not to store money in nonbank, peer-to-peer payment apps such as Venmo, Paypal, and CashApp, because that money is not automatically insured by the government.

A growing number of consumers prefer to make payments without cash and are adopting payment apps. More than three-quarters of U.S. adults have used at least one payment app, according to the agency.

CFPB director Rohit Chopra warned in a June 1 statement that payment services like PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and Apple Pay “are increasingly used as substitutes for a traditional bank or credit union account, but lack the same protections to ensure that funds are safe.”

The CFPB highlighted the protection offered by deposit insurance following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank, and First Republic Bank in March after customers with uninsured deposits pulled their money en masse.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insures bank accounts up to $250,000. However, payment apps are not federally insured on the institutional level. Customers could lose their funds if one of those companies were to fail.

The CFPB recommended that users move money off their payment apps and into their bank accounts.

RFK Jr: Border Hospitals Packed with Pregnant Migrants, Forcing American Women to Delay Deliveries

Hospitals along the United States-Mexico border are so packed with pregnant migrant women that American women are being forced to delay their scheduled deliveries, Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says.

As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, Kennedy visited the southern border to bring awareness to the issue of illegal immigration, which has skyrocketed under President Joe Biden.

Militia Members Plotted to Kill Border Patrol Agents, Migrants, Say Feds

Two men who claimed to have started their own militia allegedly planned to travel to Texas to shoot at U.S. Border Patrol agents and migrants due to the current immigration crisis. At the time of their arrest, the suspects reportedly shot at FBI agents before surrendering, a federal investigation in Missouri revealed.

A federal grand jury handed down a 44-count superseding indictment on May 30 against 37-year-olf Bryan C. Perry and 33-year-old Jonathan S. O’Dell. Both men have been in federal custody since October 2022 after they allegedly shot at the FBI during a raid. According to information released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, both men are being held without bond after a judge determined that they are “a danger to the community”.

U.S. Trade Deficit Surges 23% to Six-Month High as Exports Sink and Imports Jump

The U.S. trade deficit widened significantly in April as exports plunged and imports rose, putting downward pressure on U.S. economic growth but indicating that consumer appetite for goods remains strong.

Exports fell by 3.6 percent in April to $249 billion, led by a decrease in shipments of oil and pharmaceuticals. Goods exports fell by $9.4 billion to $167.1 billion. Exports of services ticked up by $200 million to $81.9 billion, boosted by an increase in international travel services and business services partially offset by declines in financial and government services.

Dude, Gen X is totally unprepared for retirement, survey finds Yahoo Finance

For the so-called Slacker Generation, their retirement reality bites.

Just over half of Generation X — born between 1965 and 1980 — have little to nothing socked away for retirement, according to research by Prudential Financial of 2,000 pre-retiree Gen Xers conducted between March 31 to April 6, 2023. Thirty-five percent of the 65 million US Gen Xers have less than $10,000 saved, and 18% have no savings.

The results, echoed in two other recent surveys, reflect the burdens this generation faces and are a big wake-up call — especially for the oldest members who are about a decade from retirement age.

“Gen X is staring at one of the most complex landscapes for retirement readiness in decades,” Prudential Vice Chair Rob Falzon told Yahoo Finance. “Due to the decline in defined benefit pension plans, which often supported previous generations’ retirement, as well as uncertainty about the economy and long-term Social Security benefits.”

Investigation: Mark Zuckerberg’s Instagram Failed to Stop Massive Pedophile Network Trading Child Pornography

Instagram, the globally popular social media platform owned by Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook (now known as Meta), has failed to stop the connection and promotion of a vast network of accounts involved in the creation and purchase of child pornography, according to recent investigations by researchers at Stanford University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Child Pornography dealers on Instagram are so brazen that they offer a “menu” of services directly on Zuckerberg’s platform.

The Wall Street Journal reports that according to recent investigations by researchers at Stanford University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Instagram, the widely used social media platform owned by Facebook, enabled the connection and promotion of a vast network of accounts involved in the creation and purchase of child porn.

Lawmakers Advance Bills to Hasten Wireless and 5G Deployment; “will serve the interests of the wireless industry, not the interests of U.S. citizens”

A group of telecom experts who call themselves The Irregulators have already proven that Americans have paid for access to high speed broadband through hardwired connections (see rather than less safe and less secure biologically and environmental harmful Wi-Fi and 5G.  Despite this and growing American opposition to wireless and 5G deployment , The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continues to support it anyway  while also ignoring an almost two-year old federal court ruling in favor of petitioners who sued the agency for NOT updating wireless guidelines (including 5G) since 1996.  Of course the FCC isn’t the only one supporting deployment which may actually worsen the “Digital Divide” as well.

SURVEILLANCE STATE

It Was All in Vain: Edward Snowden’s Sacrifice 10 Years On

This week marks the 10th anniversary of the first story featuring National Security Agency (NSA) contractor‐turned‐whistleblower Edward Snowden’s initial revelation: the role of Verizon in aiding NSA’s telephone metadata mass surveillance program.

As the Guardian noted at the time, “The court order appears to explain the numerous cryptic public warnings by two US senators, Ron Wyden and Mark Udall… that the US government is relying on ‘secret legal interpretations’ to claim surveillance powers so broad that the American public would be ‘stunned’ to learn of the kind of domestic spying being conducted.”

The Verizon revelation and the many others that followed in the months after it underscored the most consequential effect of Snowden going public: NSA’s ostensible overseers – the House and Senate Intelligence Committees – had been witting of the mass surveillance and instead of stopping it had gone along with it.

Worse, through the annual appropriations process, Congress had given NSA (and the FBI) the money to continue that mass surveillance. American taxpayers were paying for the “privilege” of being spied on at scale by their own government.

And as I’ve noted previously, Snowden’s efforts to inform his fellow Americans of the surveillance dragnet under which they now operated were met with scorn or outright attacks, some from the press but most from members of Congress whose oversight failures Snowden had effectively exposed.

Social Credit: DHS Wanted to Assign ‘Risk Scores’ to American Internet Users

According to internal documents reviewed by Vice, the Department of Homeland Security in 2018 sought to develop a method for assigning “risk scores” to social media users, in a program to identify “disinformation” efforts named “Night Fury” by the DHS.

The DHS worked with the University of Alabama to develop the “Night Fury” system, the concept of which bears a striking resemblance to the Chinese “social credit” scores assigned to citizens to measure their compliance with the regime.

Iowa GOP Reps Lobbied For Green Tax Credits That Benefit A ‘Megadonor’ Supporting Their Campaigns

All four Iowa House Republicans lobbied to protect tax credits for carbon dioxide storage in House Republicans’ debt ceiling bill after raking in thousands in donations from a donor involved in CO2 pipeline development, according to campaign finance records.

The Iowa coalition — Reps. Randy Feenstra, Ashley Hinson, Marianette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn — refused to back Republicans’ Limit, Save, Grow Act until their colleagues removed language that would have rolled back tax credits supporting carbon pipelines, according to multiple reports. The act narrowly passed the House in a near party-line vote in late April with the Iowans’ support, and the tax credits are not touched in President Joe Biden and Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s final debt ceiling deal.

The Iowan representatives have each received substantial campaign contributions from prominent Republican donor Bruce Rastetter, CEO and co-founder of Summit Agricultural Group, an agricultural investment firm whose affiliate, Summit Carbon Solutions, has proposed a carbon pipeline project in the state. Nunn’s campaign received $6,600 in February, Hinson’s and Miller-Meeks’ political action committees or campaigns received $11,600 and $5,800 respectively in late March, while Feenstra’s campaign and affiliated committee most recently received $15,800 in contributions from Rastetter in March 2021, according to federal filings.

Biden Admin Targets Another Household Appliance Amid Gas Stove Fallout

The Biden administration may soon finalize regulations on gas-powered home furnaces, restricting the ability of consumers to purchase units found to be outside of the administration’s greenhouse gas emissions goals within the next few months.

The regulations proposed by the Department of Energy (DOE) in June 2022 would likely limit consumer choice, boost prices, and have a minimal effect on greenhouse gas emissions.

The agency could soon finalize the rules governing residential gas furnaces, which more than half of American households use for space heating.

The Biden administration is moving forward with rules affecting dozens of additional appliances, such as pool pumps, battery chargers, ceiling fans, and dehumidifiers, according to the current federal Unified Regulatory Agenda, a government-wide, semiannual list of regulations that agencies plan to propose or finalize within the next 12 months.

As a part of the proposed regulations, furnaces would be required to achieve an annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) of 95 percent by 2029, indicating that manufacturers would only be able to sell furnaces that convert at least 95 percent of fuel into heat within the next six years. Currently, 80 percent AFUE is the industry standard for residential furnaces.

US Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Dane Wigington: Is Climate Engineering Real?

Global climate engineering operations are the most massive untold story of all. How are such obvious and extensive operations kept from public awareness? How toxic are the climate engineering elements that are being dispersed into our skies? How can the illegal climate intervention operations be fully exposed and halted? All of these issues and more are discussed in this exchange between US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Dane Wigington from GeoengineeringWatch.org.

How to clean a chicken coop

Today I had to clean out one of the chicken coops and it took me a little longer than I expected. I probably only do a deep cleaning about once a year, though I will dust down the spider webs and scoop up under the roosts more often. This was a serious cleaning today!

USDA’s Phony ‘Animal Welfare’ Rule and Other Shenanigans

Draft regulation currently under consideration would legalize factory farm conditions for organic chickens

While the proposed rule claims to protect and improve “animal welfare” in organic farming, all it will accomplish is the further destruction of independent organic farmers who do things right and therefore cannot compete with “organic” mega-corporations that can sell their foods at far lower prices because they cheat on the organic standards

OrganicEye, an organic industry watchdog, warns the proposed rules undermine organic standards further by permanently codifying practices that violate the spirit of organics, and even the current letter of the law

The proposed rule would allow organic poultry farmers to stack birds in multitiered aviaries stretching from floor to ceiling, providing as little as 1 square foot of space per animal. Outdoor space requirements are also limited to 1 to 2 square feet, depending on the size of the bird

The draft rule allows egg-laying hens to be confined for the first 16 to 21 weeks of its life, and broiler chickens can be confined until just one or two weeks before their scheduled slaughter. The rule also allows half of the outdoor area to be covered in either concrete or gravel, which prevents the chickens from engaging in their natural instinctual behavior, which is already an organic requirement

Should you run your air conditioner when it’s smokey outside?

When smoke from wildfires turns the outside air unhealthy, is it safe to run the air conditioner?

An oppressive blanket of smoke from over 100 Canadian wildfires rolled over the East Coast and Midwest Wednesday, leaving many residents concerned about the air quality.

Dr. Brian Christman, a professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University told Nexstar’s WJW that running the air conditioning is fine, so long as the right settings are used.

Most air conditioners operate by cooling the air inside the house and recirculating it, not pulling in air from outside. Some units, however, are equipped with a fresh air function, which should not be used.

“I wouldn’t spend a lot of time outside,” Christman said. “I would try to set your air conditioning on recirculate so that you’re not breathing in as much of the outdoor air and if you have good level filters on your air conditioner, make sure that they’re in place and that you’re using them.”

The Environmental Protection Agency has the following tips for keeping your inside air as clean as possible:

  • Find out if you have a fresh air intake mode and make sure it is set to “recirculate” instead. Be sure the filter is in good shape and consider upgrading to a MERV 13 or higher rated filter if your HVAC system can accommodate it.\
  • If you have an evaporative cooler, try not to use it in smoky conditions because it can draw more smoke in. Fans and window AC units are better options.
  • If you’re using a window unit, make sure the seal between it and the window is as tight as possible and figure out how to close the outdoor air damper. If you can’t close the damper for some reason, consider using a fan in the home instead.
  • If you have a portable air conditioner with a single hose that’s set up to vent out of a window, do not use it because it can allow more smoke to come inside. Think about using a window AC unit or fan instead.

—> You can also improve your indoor air quality by using a SUN AIRE™ AIR PURIFIERs, which cleans your air of harmful bacteria, fungi, molds & mildew while removing offensive odors from the air you breathe and alleviating allergy and asthma symptoms.

Researchers Discover a Potential Cause for Parkinson’s

Researchers from the University of Helsinki linked a strain of Desulfovibrio bacteria as a causative agent of Parkinson’s disease, which may open new therapeutic avenues to screen for, slow progression or prevent Parkinson’s

Nearly 1 million people in the U.S. live with Parkinson’s and 90,000 new cases are diagnosed each year; new findings support past research demonstrating a gut-brain link in Parkinson’s disease

Researchers also believe that neurodegenerative disease could be successfully addressed by activating autophagy, the process of eliminating damaged and dead cells to encourage the growth of new healthy cells

Alzheimer’s disease is another neurodegenerative condition linked to specific gut bacteria, including specific short-chain fatty acids and lipopolysaccharides, the cell walls of dead bacteria

You can take several steps to help optimize your gut microbiome, including eating traditionally fermented foods to seed your gut with healthy bacteria and feeding them with probiotic soluble and insoluble fiber. Avoid antibacterial soap and products with triclosan, processed foods, conventionally raised meat and antibiotics unless absolutely necessary

New study indicates glyphosate disrupts immune function, even at perceived ‘safe’ levels

“The dose makes the poison.”  Ever notice that people tend to bust out this phrase whenever they try to downplay health concerns associated with commonplace environmental substances like per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), bisphenol A (BPA), and pesticides and herbicides used on conventionally grown food?  As if to say: sure, these compounds are known to be potentially harmful to human health – but a little bit won’t hurt you!

Here’s the thing about such a statement: while it certainly may be true in some cases, it rings dismissive – plus, it’s rendered completely moot by research such as this new study published in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology, which proves that even at previously acceptable “safe” levels of exposure, one popular herbicide poses notable health risks to humans and animals.

One of the country’s most popular herbicides could be harming your gut health, immune function – even at so-called “safe” levels of exposure

Glyphosate is a popular herbicide that has been used in residential and commercial agriculture and farming in the United States since 1974.  According to the National Pesticide Information Center, there are currently more than 750 products containing glyphosate for sale in the U.S.  Glyphosate is sprayed on all sorts of crops, including grains, and can therefore find its way into our food supply quite easily.

Many public organizations, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), insist that glyphosate is perfectly safe when used.  In fact, the EPA reported in 2020 that they found “no risks of concern to human health when glyphosate is used in accordance with its current label” and that the controversial weed killer is “unlikely to be a human carcinogen.”  This contradicts findings from other organizations, however, such as the International Agency for Research on Cancer (associated with the World Health Organization), which considers glyphosate “probably carcinogenic” based on available evidence.

Additional data published in a 2022 review paper from the International Journal of Molecular Sciences supports the “unequivocal” claim that “exposure to glyphosate produces important alterations in the structure and function of the nervous system of humans, rodents, fish, and invertebrates.”  The authors of this 2022 review paper list a wide range of concerning health issues associated with herbicide exposure, including “significant” neurotoxic effects, mitochondrial dysfunction, nerve cell death, and even the appearance of behavior and motor disorders.

Of course, one might argue that the harmful effects of glyphosate are really only relevant to people who use, spray, or are around glyphosate and that people who simply eat foods that were made with ingredients sprayed by glyphosate shouldn’t worry because those exposure levels are so low.  However, a team of investigators from the University of Iowa recently conducted an important study on the true “safety” of glyphosate exposure from food.

The researchers found that consuming glyphosate at the current U.S. Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) of 1.75 milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day was found to be associated with an altered gut microbiome – specifically, the loss of “good” gut bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.  This level of exposure also induced intestinal inflammation by modulating the “neuro-immune-endocrine system.”

Interesting how starkly different these and other findings are compared to the EPA’s assertion (as described on the National Pesticide Information Center’s website) that there is “no evidence [that] glyphosate is toxic to the nervous or immune systems.”

Billions of kilograms of glyphosate have been used in the United States for decades – when will public health agencies start taking the potential health risks seriously?

Court gives Friday deadline in ObamaCare coverage case

The panel of judges on Wednesday gave the two parties until Friday to submit the terms of a possible agreement on staying a federal judge’s order that blocked ObamaCare’s preventive care requirement.

Remember: Earlier this year U.S. District Court Judge Reed O’Connor struck down a provision in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that requires insurers to cover certain preventive services with no cost-sharing.

These services include PrEP for HIV, cancer screenings and mental health screenings.

Oral arguments appealing the ruling took place on Tuesday in front of three judges — two Republican appointees and one Democratic appointee.

During arguments, the federal government suggested that the provision requiring preventive services coverage only be allowed to be blocked in Texas where all the plaintiffs in the case reside.

The plaintiffs argued that a stay of Reed’s order was unnecessary as they said there was no evidence private insurers or employers will stop covering preventive services, as was initially required by the ACA, as long as the case is being appealed and there is a chance that the order is thrown out.

The judges on the panel expressed dismay over predicting how insurers will react to the ruling. One of the judges, Judge Leslie Southwick, an appointee of George W. Bush, suggested the two sides were not that far apart in their positions on a potential stay of the ruling and asked that they find an agreement on a solution.

Brownstone: Twenty Grim Realities Revealed By Lockdowns

Without mentioning the word Technocracy, the author describes its effect on the world and in particular, on America. While Technocracy often uses Marxist ideologies to destroy the existing civilizational structure, it is not Marxist in itself. The Technocracy movement prides itself on being the masters of the “science of social engineering”.

The only way to prepare for the next “pandemic” is to understand the first one and then to steel your mind on how you will respond when it hits again. The forces of Technocracy will not relent until their grip is thoroughly shattered and destroyed. ⁃

Consumer Advocacy Group Targets Bank of America for Pushing ESG

Advocacy group Consumers’ Research launched its “Bank of UnAmerican” campaign targeting the nation’s second-largest banking institution, Bank of America, over its use of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies.

As Breitbart News previously reported, ESG policies are a form of leftist activism in financial investing that has become the latest vector to influence the way Wall Street financial firms and corporations continue to take social and political positions that do not relate to their business, such as stances associated with climate change, as well as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda.

Far-Left Group Puts Moms for Liberty on Map With KKK Chapters
The Southern Poverty Law Center includes parental rights groups on its latest “hate map,” plotting Moms for Liberty and other parent groups alongside Ku Klux Klan chapters. (Photo: screenshot of SPLC hate map)

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which brands mainstream conservative and Christian organizations as “hate groups,” placing them on a map with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan, added a slew of parental rights organizations to that “hate map” for 2022 and labeled them “antigovernment groups.”

“Schools, especially, have been on the receiving end of ramped-up and coordinated hard-right attacks, frequently through the guise of ‘parents’ rights’ groups,” the SPLC’s “Year in Hate and Extremism” report claims.

“These groups were, in part, spurred by the right-wing backlash to COVID-19 public safety measures in schools,” the SPLC report says. “But they have grown into an anti-student inclusion movement that targets any inclusive curriculum that contains discussions of race, discrimination and LGBTQ identities.”

“At the forefront of this mobilization is Moms for Liberty, a Florida-based group with vast connections to the GOP that this year the SPLC designated as an extremist group,” the report notes. “They can be spotted at school board meetings across the country wearing shirts and carrying signs that declare, ‘We do NOT CO-PARENT with the GOVERNMENT.’”

Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Shares Subtle Pro-Life Message During White House Visit

Harrison Butker, the devout Catholic kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, shared a subtle pro-life message during his visit to the White House this week in celebration of his team’s Super Bowl LVII victory.

Photos of the event showed Butker wearing a tie that had the Latin message “Vulnerari Praesidio” written up and down. Translated into English, the phrase means “Protect the Most Vulnerable,” a common phrase used in pro-life circles. The pro-life organization, Life Action, reportedly designed the tie, according to The Daily Signal. He also reportedly had a gold pin of a baby’s feet, which “allegedly represented the size of a 10-week-old aborted baby,” according to Fox News.
