Pray for God to save our country! - Listener Letter

Dear Daniel,
Thank you very much for all of your service to our country. I always look forward to your show. God Bless you!

Our country is in the midst of a cultural war. We have violence in the streets and threats of more violence.There are a lot of people running for office this election who have no respect for God or the people they rule over. They have a lust for power and wealth, and will do anything to get elected. Some politicians who are in office now have become incredibly wealthy at the expense of those who elected them and our country. Some have said they will drastically change our way of life. If those people get elected and take control of the presidency or congress this November they will destroy everything that has made this nation great. Everything our country stands for is hanging in the balance in this election. Bad policies and evil have made inroads into every aspect of our country and our way of life. Good and right and truth is being opposed at every point. Even if every best candidate running wins his race, we will still have insurmountable problems to solve. We need more than that to just win the battle in the upcoming election. We need to win the long term war over the socialist, Marxist influence over our country. Our opponents and the influences of evil are too strong to be overcome with only human effort.
The Bible says we are in a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

God lovingly created a marvelous universe, a beautiful earth, mankind, and every living thing. God loves us so much He provided food, opportunities, and many good things as gifts to people. God was the inspiration and provider at the founding of our country. Many of the problems we have now are new and more complex than they were back then. God’s help is still needed for us to carry on. This battle we are in is for the destiny of our country and also for the whole world. We patriotic Americans are all trying to “Make America Great again”. Yes, we need to do our part to vote for and support good people and defeat the bad ones and their evil and destructive ideology. Our country’s problems are huge and require more than that. We also need God’s strength and wisdom to save our country from all of the threats from the evil spiritual forces.

God wants a group of people to have a good relationship with. God wants to be recognized as the creator of the universe, our provider and our Lord. Although there are some people who have a good relationship with God, there are many people are ungrateful, want to ignore God, go their own way, and sin. God won’t answer the prayers of people who are sinning. They have to get right with God and then petition Him for His mercy and to deliver us from the destructive forces attacking our nation.

When I hear some people in the alternative media quote a Bible verse I think that is good that they are a God respecting person. Some say “God bless” at the end of a show. That is a nice salutation. We need more than that. We need to be right with God so that we can be in a position to pray for our country and world. The people who know God need to intercede for our country and the world.

There have been times in our country’s history when we as a people have humbled themselves and earnestly called upon God for help and he has answered. In the 2016 election a lot of people prayed for God to intercede and He did. Now is the time to pray.

Humbly ask God to: Intervene in our government to let His will be done.
Cause all people to turn to God and live moral lives. Cause good to prevail over evil.
Cause people to know the truth and for liars and evil be exposed. Cause the right people to be elected and serve properly. Thank you for reading and praying.
