4.California Bill Could Criminalize Parents’ Protests at School Board Meetings

A bill making its way through the California state legislature would criminalize “substantial disorder” by attendees at school board meetings, in what critics say is an attempt to crack down on parents’ opposition to transgender and racial ideology in curricula.

SB 596, introduced by State Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-Glendale), would expand an existing law that punishes those who cause “substantial disorder” in schools to include school board meetings as well. As the state legislative counsel’s digest explains

5.Trump Cancels News Conference on Alleged Georgia Election Fraud

Former President Donald Trump has canceled a press event set for Aug. 21 that he’d intended would unveil a “conclusive” report proving election fraud in Georgia.

Instead, his lawyers will present the findings as evidence in court, the former president announced on his social media site Truth Social.

“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta,” he wrote.

“Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!”

With Economy in Crisis, China Resorts to Coverup

The world’s second-largest economy is in bleak shape.

China’s consumer sector fell into deflation in July for the first time in two years. Global demand for Chinese products has weakened, sending imports and exports tumbling. Millions of young people are jobless. The huge property sector, once a pillar in fueling China’s economic growth, is on the verge of a meltdown.

With a crisis unraveling and U.S. hedge funds aggressively dumping Chinese stocks, Beijing is turning back to its old playbook: bury the unflattering data.

French General Overseeing Restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral Dies at 74

The decorated French general in charge of the ambitious, big-budget restoration of fire-ravaged Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Jean-Louis Georgelin, has died. He was 74.

President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute Saturday to one of France’s “greatest soldiers, greatest servants,” who “stone by stone, was restoring the wounded beauty” of Notre Dame. Before being pulled from retirement to oversee the cathedral reconstruction, Georgelin previously served as chief of France’s military general staff, overseeing operations in Afghanistan, the Balkans and beyond.

US ‘Rent-a-Womb’ Industry Thrives Due to Demand From Parents in China: Researcher

Children can be designed as ‘perfect accessory’ to parents’ life, says researcher

The “rent-a-womb” industry pipelines children born of surrogates in the United States to parents in China, a researcher said. Babies born this way automatically gain U.S. birthright citizenship.

Chinese “rent-a-womb” industry, has been burgeoning in the United States for about a decade, particularly in California, where laws regulating commercial surrogacy and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) are permissive, said Emma Waters, a research associate for the Center for Life, Religion, and Family at The Heritage Foundation.

Trump Indictments Meant to Demoralize and Provoke Americans: James Lindsay

The swift and varied legal actions taken against former President Donald Trump as he navigates his campaign for 2024 reelection have two main goals, according to author and commentator James Lindsay. The first is to overburden the GOP frontrunner in the public eye, making the situation so “messy” voters lose hope in him as a candidate, and the second is to “provoke the American public into giving up the rule of law,” he says.

“There’s a very deliberate operation going on,” Mr. Lindsay said on an episode of American Thought Leaders: Now with Jan Jekielek on EpochTV. People in the know refer to it as “fifth generational warfare,” he said, and although it may sound convoluted, it is simple once you look at the tactics.

Mr. Lindsay broke down several tactics being used against President Trump, from a psychological tactic narcissistic abusers are known to use, to Marxist strategies outlined by Saul Alinsky in his book “Rules for Radicals.”

The “us versus them” in this case is not a left or right matter, he added, but “normal people who believe in the American experiment, whether left, right center, Democrat, Republican, white, black doesn’t matter. Everybody who believes in America and the Western civilizational project is who is the ‘us’ in this us–them dynamic.”

“The people who want to destroy and break that and are using us to do it are the ‘them,’” he said. “And we can formulate countermeasures once we understand how their tactics work.”

Federal Judges Gut GOP-Backed Election Integrity Laws in Georgia, Texas

Federal judges in Georgia and Texas have struck down key provisions of voting laws passed two years ago as Republicans sought to bolster election integrity after allegations of fraud and other irregularities during the hotly contested 2020 presidential election fueled calls for elections to be made more secure.

In Texas, U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez nixed a provision in state law that required officials to reject mail-in ballots with ID numbers that don’t match the ones on voter registration forms, according to a summary judgment issued on Aug. 17 (pdf).

The now-abolished provision required that mail-in ballots be rejected if they bear a different Texas driver’s license number or ID number of the voter than what was on their original application for voter registration.

Biden quietly auctions off border wall parts to stunt Republican effort to restart construction: report

DOD selling off ‘excess border wall materials’ after GOP-sponsored Finish It Act clears Senate

The Biden administration reportedly has been selling off millions of dollars’ worth of border wall materials in a race against Republicans who are vying to pass legislation to finish its construction.

Steel “square structural tubes” photographed in a storage lot in Arizona were listed for sale on GovPlanet, an online auction marketplace run by publicly traded Canadian company Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, this month. Those 28-foot-tall hollow beams are “excess border wall materials that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers turned over to the DLA for disposition and are now for sale,” the Department of Defense’s logistics agency first confirmed to the Daily Upside and later the New York Post.

GovPlanet, which specializes in military surplus, has sold 81 lots of those beams for about $2 million, according to the Post.

Case of Locally Acquired Malaria Appears in New US State

Maryland authorities on Aug. 19 disclosed a new case of locally acquired malaria, making the state the third in the country to report a case in recent months.

The person tested positive for malaria despite not recently traveling outside the United States or to a state that has reported malaria cases, according to the Maryland Department of Health.

The person was hospitalized and “is now recovering,” officials said in a statement. The person lives in Maryland.

The agency did not disclose the age or sex of the person and did not disclose more specific details on where they live.

“To protect patient confidentiality, we are not sharing any further patient information,” a Maryland Department of Health spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email.

US Court of Appeals Strikes Down Use of Jail and Probation for Jan. 6 ‘Parading’ Misdemeanor

Three-judge panel rules out ‘split sentence’ for petty Capitol offense

A federal appeals court on Aug. 18 struck down the use of so-called “split sentences” in Jan. 6 cases—imposing both prison and probation for petty-offense misdemeanors such as the often-used charge of “parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.”

The 2–1 ruling (pdf) by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit could affect a large number of Jan. 6 cases where the U.S. Department of Justice recommended—and district judges imposed—sentences with jail and probation for “parading” convictions.

Jeffrey Clark First Defendant to Oppose March 4 Trial Date in Georgia Elections Case

Former Justice Department (DOJ) official Jeffrey Clark filed a motion to oppose the proposed March 4, 2024, trial date requested by the prosecution in a racketeering case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis over former President Donald Trump’s contesting of the 2020 election results.

His lawyer called Ms. Willis’s proposed date “highly premature” (pdf).

“The indictment was filed at approximately 10:30 PM on Monday August 14, 2023, while the Motion was filed at 12:49 PM on August 16, 2023,” the motion reads, pointing out that not one of the 19 defendants named has even yet “been served with any warrant, taken into custody, had a first appearance, or been arraigned, or waived arraignment.”

“In other words, when the Motion was filed, not even a single defendant had either submitted to or been properly subjected to the jurisdiction of the Court in this case.”

Trump Attorney Says Georgia Indictment ‘Quite Outrageous,’ Suggests Relocation to Federal Court Possible

Christina Bobb, one of the lawyers representing former President Donald Trump, criticized the latest criminal indictment against her client but expressed confidence Mr. Trump will succeed.

This week, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis became the latest prosecutor to bring criminal charges against the former president, charging him with violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act in an alleged effort to unlawfully upend the state’s 2020 election results.

President Trump now faces four separate criminal indictments in four separate locales.

In an interview with ‘Capitol Report,” Ms. Bobb said that of the indictments against the former president, this latest one is “the strangest and the most radical” she’s seen yet.

The 41-count indictment includes 13 charges against President Trump and additional charges for at least 18 alleged co-conspirators.

Rep. Gaetz Introduces Bill to Censure, Investigate Judge in Trump 2020 Election Case

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) is introducing a resolution to censure U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan and open an investigation into her “for showing open bias and partisanship in her official duties on the bench.”

Judge Chutkan is overseeing a case against former President Donald Trump, brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for conspiracy in his challenge of the 2020 election results. She has already overseen many other cases related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol protest, which is being investigated by special counsel Jack Smith. About 1,000 people have already been sentenced for crimes related to the day’s events, and Judge Chutkan has been known to hand down harsh prison sentences.

Federal judge denies request to halt Florida law restricting Chinese land ownership

A federal judge in Florida denied a request from a group of Chinese citizens to halt a new Florida law that bans those from certain countries from purchasing property in parts of the state.

In a ruling Thursday, United States District Judge Allen Winsor denied a preliminary injunction motion that would have blocked the law — which went into effect on July 1 — until the case moves through the court.

IRS Extends Tax Filing, Payment Deadline for Hawaii Wildfire Victims

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) said on Aug. 18 that it would provide tax relief for victims of the wildfires in Hawaii, particularly those in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)-designated areas.

According to the IRS, taxpayers in those areas will now have until Feb. 15, 2024, as opposed to the initial Oct. 16 deadline, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments.

The new deadline will apply to those who had a valid extension to file their 2022 return due to run out on Oct. 16, 2023. Tax payments related to these 2022 returns, due on Apr. 18, 2023, are not eligible for this relief.

EXCLUSIVE: Transgender Coach Changes in Locker Room With Shocked Pennsylvania High School Students

School board unsure how to respond

Several incidents involving a transgender, part-time high school tennis coach in Pennsylvania have made some students and parents uncomfortable. And now, the school board is divided on whether to renew the coach’s contract.

Employed at Gettysburg Area School District, the coach was hired as David Yates. Mr. Yates now goes by the name Sasha Yates, and publicly identifies as a transgender woman, according to the Gettysburg Times.

Mr. Yates has been a seasonal boys and girls tennis coach since 2018. Sports news coverage of the Gettysburg tennis team used the name David Yates in 2021, but in 2022, the coach was being called Sasha Yates. The school district’s website lists an email address using the name Sasha, but click on the email address, and the name David appears. Mr. Yates did not respond to a request for comment on this story.

Biden’s Migrant Mobile App Frees 200K Foreign Nationals into U.S. — Exceeding Population of Springfield, Missouri

President Joe Biden’s CBP One mobile app, which allows foreign nationals to schedule southern border appointments for release into the United States, has imported nearly 200,000 foreign nationals into American communities since the start of the year.

For more than two years, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has implemented a number of programs in its expansive Catch and Release network — including the CBP One mobile app.

The mobile app entices foreign nationals in Mexico who are pregnant, mentally ill, elderly, disabled, homeless, or crime victims to schedule an appointment with DHS officials at the border in the hopes of being released into American communities.

2ND AMENDMENT

Biden Admin Tells Supreme Court That 2nd Amendment Doesn’t Apply to Domestic Abusers

Weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear a case on whether people under domestic violence restraining orders have the right to possess firearms, lawyers for the U.S. government filed a brief arguing that the Second Amendment doesn’t apply to domestic abusers.

The case involves a Texas man, Zackey Rahimi, charged with illegal gun possession while subject to a domestic violence restraining order after assaulting his girlfriend. Rahimi challenged the law after being charged under it in 2021.

“The Second Amendment does not prohibit Congress from disarming Rahimi and other individuals subject to domestic-violence protective orders,” U.S. lawyers, overseen by the solicitor general’s office, wrote this week (pdf). “Although the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms, that right is not unlimited,” it added.

“Individuals subject to domestic violence protective orders pose an obvious danger to their intimate partners because guns often cause domestic violence to escalate to homicide and because abusers often use guns to threaten and injure their victims. Armed abusers additionally endanger people beyond their partners—such as children, bystanders, and police officers.”

Third Circuit Panel Dismisses Lawsuit Against New Jersey Gun Liability Law

A three-judge panel for the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit dismissed a lawsuit against New Jersey’s gun liability law Thursday.

The suit was brought by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and centers on New Jersey’s public nuisance law, which:

[E]mpowers the state’s Attorney General—and only the Attorney General—to sue gun-industry members whose “unlawful … or unreasonable” conduct “contribute[s] to a public nuisance in [New Jersey] through the sale, manufacturing, distribution, importing, or marketing of a gun-related product.”

The panel explained the reasoning behind its decision is that the New Jersey law has yet to be used as a basis for suit.

ECONOMY & BUSINESS

Brace Yourselves, Because What They Have Planned Is Going To Absolutely Devastate The U.S. Economy

Do you remember what happened in 2008?  Many people believe that another historic financial disaster is coming and that it will absolutely devastate the U.S. economy.  Earlier this week, I wrote about an investor named Michael Burry that has actually bet 1.6 billion dollars that the stock market is going to crash.  He made all the right moves in 2008, and he fully intends to be proven right once again in 2023.  Of course current conditions definitely resemble 2008 in so many ways.  The residential housing market is so dead right now, and commercial real estate prices are plummeting at a very frightening pace.  Unfortunately, officials at the Federal Reserve are making it quite clear that they are not done strangling the economy.

This week, mortgage rates jumped above the 7 percent mark to the highest level that we have seen in more than 20 years

Ford CEO Admits ‘Reality Check’ When He Took Electric F-150 Truck on Road Trip

Ford CEO Jim Farley admitted he underwent a “reality check” when he tried to make a cross-country road trip in the Ford electric F-150.

“Charging has been pretty challenging,” Mr. Farley said in a video on X, formerly known as Twitter. “It was a really good reality check of the challenges of what our customers go through and the importance of fast charging and what we’re going to have to do to improve the charging experience.”

In California, Mr. Farley said he encountered slow charging times. When using a low-speed charger, it took about 40 minutes for it to charge the electric F-150’s battery to 40 percent.

According to Ford, the company has said it partnered with Telsa to allow Ford customers to use the more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers next year. Other electric vehicles have also announced partnerships with Tesla.

“Long hauling in an electric truck is an act of pioneerism, not because it’s hard or dangerous, but because it’s a new way to experience America,” Mr. Farley wrote in a LinkedIn post on Aug.  7. “Shifting from fueling stations to charging stations requires new behaviors and opens new possibilities.”

Lawmakers Ask FTC to Investigate YouTube’s Alleged Collection of Data on Children

A bipartisan group of senators has written a letter to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) asking for an investigation into YouTube’s alleged collection and use of children’s data.

“We write following recent reporting that reveals YouTube and Google may have violated the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and their own policies by tracking and targeting kids without parental notice and consent,” the Aug. 17 letter (pdf) from Sens. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said. YouTube may also have violated its 2019 “consent decree” with the FTC by showing targeted ads on videos aimed at kids, the letter stated citing research from ad quality and transparency platform Adalytics.

How restaurants may be faking your steak (or sushi)

Editor’s Note:

Ever gone out to an inexpensive buffet and marveled at the vast display of freshly prepared, hot food just waiting to be devoured? You choose the perfectly fried tempura shrimp—that unbeknownst to you—may have been mixed with a binding enzyme called transglutaminase—otherwise known as meat glue. This is not an unlikely scenario as meat glue—though banned in the European Union—is classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as “generally recognized as safe.”

In the book, “A Consumer’s Guide to Toxic Food Additives” authors Bill and Linda Bonvie reveal the many additives lurking in our everyday food and outline ways we can identify and eliminate them from our diets. Following on the heels of our excerpt about the health implications of carrageenan, this one is sure to “stick” in your mind.

FDA Proposal on Salt Substitute May Bring Unexpected Harms

The FDA’s drive towards salt substitutes, aimed at reducing dietary sodium, faces mounting skepticism from top health experts.

Salt has been in the FDA’s crosshairs for some time. Since October 2021, the FDA has notably urged restaurants and food manufacturers to take voluntary measures to reduce salt use, targeting reductions in sodium across over 160 food categories.

The FDA is now advocating for a transition from traditional salt to potential lower-sodium alternatives, a notable deviation from prior guidelines, as outlined in their proposal, “Use of Salt Substitutes to Reduce the Sodium Content in Standardized Foods.”

Replace Salt with What?

Salt substitutes, such as Nu-Salt or Morton’s, primarily contain ingredients that mimic the familiar salty taste without sodium. While sodium chloride forms the essence of regular table salt, these substitutes typically employ potassium chloride. However, some might blend in other components, such as herbs, spices, or amino acids.

The FDA’s draft doesn’t pinpoint specific substitutes but labels them as “safe and appropriate,” hinting at alternatives beyond potassium chloride.

“Other ingredients listed in the scientific literature include herbs and spices, yeast extracts, monosodium glutamate, amino acids, and dairy extracts,” the brief reads.

Health Organizations Caution Against Salt Substitutes

In a collaborative letter dated August 8th, leading health organizations, including the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and National Kidney Foundation (NKF), raised significant concerns over the FDA’s recent proposition to use potassium-based salt substitutes in standardized foods.

The concerns revolve around the potential health risks to the 37 million Americans diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Many CKD patients, they note, are unable to adequately process excess potassium, making them susceptible to hyperkalemia, a dangerous condition that can lead to severe cardiac complications, and even sudden death.

Crucial Facts About Your Metabolism

Cortisol is primarily a rescue hormone. It’s a glucocorticoid, so it increases your glucose level by shredding your muscle protein to produce glucose. Cortisol also accelerates the aging process and is implicated in most chronic diseases. It also uses your brain tissue to use amino acids to make glucose which contributes to brain atrophy and subsequent depression

Your mitochondria can only burn one fuel at a time — either fat or glucose — and there’s a stealth switch that controls which of these fuels your mitochondria will burn. This switch is known as the Randle cycle

Ideally, you want to metabolize (burn) glucose in your mitochondria, as this only generates 0.1% reactive oxygen species (ROS). This route also generates energy most efficiently, creating 36 to 38 adenosine triphosphates (ATP) for every molecule of glucose that is metabolized. For this to occur, you need to consume less than 30% of your calories as fat

When you consume significantly more than 30% fat, the switch changes to burn fat in your mitochondria. As a result, glucose then backs up into your bloodstream, raising your blood sugar. This is a major contributor to diabetes

When you lose muscle, your basal metabolic rate goes down, so it’s important to maintain muscle mass, because your muscle will burn fat even when you’re resting

Overdiagnosis of Breast Cancer in Older Women—and Unnecessary Treatment—Is Widespread: Study

Over 240,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and most will likely start treatment immediately. But according to new research, that may be a mistake.

Breast cancer in women ages 70 to 85 is often overdiagnosed, which may lead to unwarranted worry and unnecessary and intensive treatments like surgery and chemotherapy that don’t improve quality of life.

Tips and Tricks From a Holistic Eye Health Coach

Your eyes have high oxygen requirements as their metabolic rate is high, so once your body or brain begins to deteriorate, your eyes are among the first places where symptoms initially emerge

Exposure to radiation, especially a lot of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure from cellphones and Wi-Fi routers can tax the eyes. Your eyes are also highly susceptible to and damaged by polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) such as linoleic acid

Macular degeneration is commonly related to excessive PUFA intake. Many with glaucoma tend to be affected by mold, or they have root canals or mercury fillings, while cataracts are caused by environmental toxicity, nutrient deficiencies and low antioxidant status

You can stop the progression of many eye diseases by eating unprocessed foods, cutting out seed oils and improving your nutrient status. Zinc and vitamin C are two nutrients that are particularly important for eye health

If your eyeglass prescription is based on your vision at 20 feet, then when you’re working on something up close, like your computer, your prescription is actually 20 times too strong. Wearing those glasses while working all day will definitely make your vision worse, so consider getting a second set of glasses that are set for the distance of your computer

Can Snoring Be Dangerous?

Snoring is a common sign of sleep apnea, which can have serious — even life-threatening — complications

In obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the most common form, the airway becomes blocked during sleep, leading to reduced or blocked airflow

Left untreated, OSA is linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and neurocognitive complications, as well as increased morbidity and mortality

People with untreated sleep apnea also have a greater risk of Type 2 diabetes, heart failure, stroke, high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat, along with a three-fold greater risk of being involved in a motor vehicle accident

In one study of people with sleep apnea or those who were screened for the condition, 1 in 5 had a high likelihood of OSA, but only 3.5% were treated for it; further, 37.2% had severe snoring while 14.6% reported hypersomnolence, or excessive daytime sleepiness

The Pandemic Planning Racket

The biosecurity crisis needs to continue indefinitely because it’s the primary justification behind The Great Reset

In the fall of 2022, mainstream media started warning of a potential “tripledemic,” with COVID, seasonal influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) being in circulation at the same time. The sudden focus on RSV just so happened to coincide with announcements that RSV vaccines were being fast-tracked

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first-ever RSV vaccines in the summer of 2023 for seniors 60 years and older — one by Pfizer (Abrysvo) and one by GlaxoSmithKline (Arexvy). Both vaccines are recombinant subunit vaccines, and both manufacturers have reported Guillain-Barré syndrome as a side effect

As we’re heading into the fall of 2023, the “tripledemic” of COVID, RSV and influenza is again making headlines. A Google search for the key words “triple pandemic 2023” garnered a staggering 41.1 million articles, and as we saw all through the COVID pandemic, news agencies are using he exact same headlines and talking points. This is unequivocal evidence that the tripledemic narrative is being coordinated by a central source

For this fall, U.S. health officials recommend a flu vaccine for everyone 6 months old and older, an updated mRNA COVID-19 booster targeting the Omicron XBB.1.5 strain (specifics on who should get the shot and when are still undetermined) and an RSV vaccine for seniors 60 years old and older

Damning Life Insurance Data Proves Far More Young People Are Dying — And It’s Not from COVID

When data speaks, we must listen. And statistics from the Society of Actuaries reveal a harrowing health crisis in the American youth. While most of the attention has been directed towards the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, there’s an underreported situation emerging — a rise in the mortality rate of younger individuals. Disturbingly, these figures can’t solely be attributed to COVID-19 — far from it.

According to the data reported by the Society of Actuaries, which conducts research for the insurance industry, there is a concerning trend in deaths among the young. Much of this data comes from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which has limitations with respect to data collection and transparency.

Georgia Teacher Fired After Blowing Off Regulations Forbidding Teaching ‘Gender Identity’ to Kids

The Cobb County, Georgia, Board of Education has voted to fire fifth-grade teacher Katie Rinderle for reading a book on so-called “gender identity” called “My Shadow Is Purple.”

Rinderle, a ten-year veteran of the Cobb County school system, was accused of violating elements of three state laws that progressives have labeled as “censorship” but parents would call “common sense.” The Protect Students First Act limits teaching “divisive concepts;” the “Parents’ Bill of Rights,” which requires disclosure of teaching materials to parents; and a law restricting the content of books in school libraries and classrooms. From reports submitted as part of the disciplinary proceeding, Rinderly was also somewhat less than candid with her supervisors.

The tribunal that first heard her case found she had created and performed this “instruction” without clearing it with the school administration or informing parents of the book’s content. She provided no opportunity for an “opt-out” by parents. In the class discussion of the book, she required that the main character, a boy, be referred to as “they” and not as he or him. She also told students who believed the male character in the story was a boy that their perception “was due to their own biases or stereotypes.”

YouTube to Censor Content Contradicting WHO Guidelines

YouTube has introduced a new “medical misinformation policy” that will censor any medical or health-related content that doesn’t align with claims made by the World Health Organization (WHO).

YouTube earlier had a “COVID-19 Misinformation Policy” webpage that stated that the platform doesn’t allow any content that “poses a serious risk of egregious harm” and spreads “medical misinformation” contradicting what the WHO or local health authorities (LHA) say about the COVID-19 pandemic. The webpage now redirects to a “medical misinformation policy” page that expands the censorship rule to “specific health conditions and substances” rather than COVID-19 alone.

Ted Cruz rails against Anheuser-Busch for stonewalling his probe of partnership with Dylan Mulvaney

Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is intensifying demands that Anheuser-Busch InBev hand over a trove of documents for his investigation of whether Bud Light’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was marketing beer to children.

Mr. Cruz, the ranking Republican on the Senate Commerce Committee, has been demanding the documents for months. The company has failed to comply since an industry review board found the advertising campaign did not target underage drinkers.

“The level of cooperation the Committee receives will bear significantly on my assessment of whether this is part of a broader problem across the Anheuser-Busch InBev product line and whether changes to federal law are necessary to prohibit Anheuser-Busch InBev from marketing beer to children,” Mr. Cruz wrote in a letter to Anheuser-Busch InBev CEO Michael Doukeris.

Elon Musk’s Twitter/X Seeks Job Applicants to Fill What Critics Call ‘Censorship Positions’

Elon Musk’s X platform, previously known as Twitter, is now seeking job applicants to stop disinformation and promote “credible” stories about the election, despite the Tesla CEO saying he had planned to make the social media platform more friendly to free speech.

Twitter/X is looking for job applicants to fill two positions tasked with protecting “information integrity” and “civic conversations” on the social media platform, according to a report by Just the News.

Super ‘Blue Moon’ to Rise Late August Also the Biggest Supermoon of the Year—Here’s What to Know

Very rarely. Almost never. “Once in a blue moon.”

The idiom denotes something that happens hardly ever. Yet blue moons are more than a figure of speech, as this month of August is about to prove.

August has graced us, gloriously, with one full moon already, the Sturgeon Moon. The month will soon offer an encore—a remarkable second full moon, known in folklore as a “blue moon.” It will be made even better, as it’s a supermoon. The largest of the year.

It’s no technical term, blue moon. Nor are they necessarily blue-colored—though they can be. Rather, the term arose from folklore.

First 24 GOP “Debate” 8/23/23

Commentary By Lex Greene

Still pretending as though we have lawful legitimate elections in the USA, hosted by Fox News (aka The DeSantis Channel), the Fox team is ramping up for the first so-called debate of the 2024 Presidential race this Wednesday evening.

Everyone at FOX and everyone who will appear on the stage, knows that the 2020 elections were blatantly stolen by O’Biden’s DNC, backed by “deep state” Military, Justice, and Intel community traitors. They all know it, but only Ramaswamy has the intestinal fortitude to say it. The rest work with DC traitors to keep Trump out of the White House.

As we head into the event, only eight GOP candidates have qualified for the debate stage and as of this writing, current aggregate poll numbers look like this

TRUMP – 55.5%

DeSANTIS – 14.5%

RAMASWAMY – 7.2%

PENCE – 5.2%

HALEY – 3.3%

SCOTT – 2.7%

CHRISTIE – 2.6%

BURGUM – 0.5%

The rest who tossed their hat in the ring couldn’t meet the polling and fund-raising thresholds to qualify for the debate stage. They simply have no real support. Of course, neither do at least five of the eight who made the debate. Like Chris Christie says, “this is the first time they can speak to a real audience,” because nobody shows up for their campaign stops.
