No Supply Issues With Ivermectin: Pharmaceutical Supplying PRINCIPLE Oxford Trial
Epoch Times – The New Jersey pharmaceutical company supplying ivermectin to a UK trial that was paused for a short period of time, says there are no supply issues with its pills.
Ivermectin is being investigated as part of the government-backed Platform Randomised Trial of Treatments in the Community for Epidemic and Pandemic Illnesses (PRINCIPLE) in the United Kingdom as a possible home treatment for COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus. The trial was put on hold due to “temporary supply issues” as reported by Medpage Today on Dec. 14.
Details were not provided on the cause of the supply issues. The trial’s joint chief investigator, professor Chris Butler, and the trial’s press team declined to comment and respond to a query asking when the supply issue is expected to be resolved.
The Epoch Times also reached out to Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust in England—one of two organizations responsible for QP (quality person) release, importing, and, labeling of ivermectin in the trial—but did not receive a reply.
Daniel Worley Jr., Vice President of Business Development and Associate General Counsel of Edinbridge Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer supplying the medicine, told The Epoch Times in an email that the company “is not experiencing any supply issues related to its ivermectin tablets (3mg) product.”
Christmas Eve Air Travel Doubles Over Last Year as American Flyers Shrug Off Omicron Fears
Epoch Times – American travelers seemed to shrug off fears of the Omicron variant as they took to the skies with confidence on Christmas Eve, with airport security data showing over twice as many people flying on Dec. 24 compared to the same day last year, even as multiple airlines across the country canceled hundreds of flights.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said in a Dec. 25 tweet that over 1.7 million travelers were screened at checkpoints across the United States on Christmas Eve, a number that’s over twice as high as the nearly 847,000 screened on the same day last year.
Still, that’s around 800,000 fewer screenings than on Christmas Eve 2019, an indication that the outbreak continues to bedevil air travel and hold back the industry’s rebound to pre-pandemic levels.
Thousands of Flights Canceled Amid COVID-19 Omicron Surge
Epoch Times – Airlines canceled more than 2,100 flights worldwide on Dec. 26 after U.S. air carriers scrapped about 1,000 on Christmas Day, citing staffing issues related to COVID-19.
At least 2,162 cancellations were reported around the world on Dec. 26, with 669 in the United States, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware.com. Some 5,900 flights were also delayed.
It comes after a total of 957 Christmas Day flights were called off, including domestic flights and those into or out of the country, while nearly 2,000 flights were delayed, according to the tracking website. That’s up from 690 that were canceled on Christmas Eve.
While the Christmas holidays are typically a peak time for air travel, the rapid spread of the highly transmissible Omicron variant of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus has led to a sharp increase in COVID-19 infections, prompting airlines to cancel flights and quarantine pilots and crew. Meanwhile, in recent weeks, some major carriers terminated the employment of hundreds of employees over COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
United Airlines, one of the first carriers to impose a vaccine mandate, canceled more than 200 flights over the weekend.
Epoch Times – While the COVID-19 pandemic has spurred energy demand, leading to increased prices, the Biden administration’s reliance on imports is a greater contributor to the increased costs of oil and gas, according to Jerry Simmons, the president of the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance (DEPA).
On Nov. 23, the Biden administration announced that it would be taking oil out of the Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) in an effort to lower gas prices, which are at a 20-year high.
“I believe that the White House probably said that a 2-cent drop in gasoline prices nationwide was a result of that,” Simmons told NTD’s “Capitol Report” on Dec. 23. NTD is a sister media outlet of The Epoch Times.
Simmons said, referring to the 15 million barrels that the Biden administration took out of the SPR. Simmons said taking oil out of the reserves will ultimately end up costing the taxpayer more, rather than saving money.

Virginia Parents Sue School District Over CRT Curriculum
Epoch Times – Parents in Virginia have sued Albemarle County School Board over so-called “anti-racist” curriculum materials that they allege are indoctrinating their children with the tenets of Critical Race Theory (CRT) that are actually racist at their core.
The plaintiffs, nine parents and their children, filed the complaint (pdf) in Albemarle County Circuit Court on Dec. 22 with the help of attorneys from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a legal nonprofit.
ADF said in a statement that the parents had filed suit against the school board for “enacting discriminatory policies and indoctrinating students in radical ideology,” violating students’ civil rights by treating them differently based on race.
“Our clients believe that every person is made in the image of God, deserves respect, and therefore, should not be punished or rewarded for something over which they have no control,” ADF Senior Counsel Kate Anderson said in a statement. “Public schools have no right to demean students because of their race, ethnicity, or religion.”
Judge Orders The New York Times to Return Legal Memos to Project Veritas
Epoch Times – A New York judge has ordered The New York Times to return confidential legal memos that it obtained between investigative journalism organization Project Veritas and the group’s attorney.
The New York Times had obtained the memos that were prepared by Project Veritas attorney Benjamin Barr—it remains unclear how they were obtained. The media outlet then published the documents online. It later took them down, but an article published on Nov. 11 describing the memos was still available on the paper’s website.
The memos, in part, contained advice from Barr as to how Project Veritas’s methods of reporting, which largely involve reporters going undercover, could avoid running into legal problems. Project Veritas sued the paper and accused it of having obtained the privileged materials without authorization.
“The court finds that Project Veritas has met its burden of showing that the subject memoranda were obtained by irregular means, if not both irregular and improper means,” New York State Supreme Court Justice Charles D. Wood in Westchester County said in his Dec. 23 ruling (pdf).
Finland Man Blows Up His Tesla Car After Facing $22,000 Replacement Battery Bill
Epoch Times – A man in Finland has blown up his Tesla vehicle with 66 pounds of dynamite in defiance over the cost of a new battery after he was faced with a $22,000 repair bill.
Tuomas Katainen, who lives in Jaala village in south Finland’s Kymenlaakso, exploded his 2012 Tesla Model S at a former quarry in a video uploaded to YouTube.
The Tesla S model 2012 cost around $57,400 to $77,400 when it was released.
Tesla’s warranty covers battery replacements if the capacity drops below 70 percent within 150,000 miles or eight years of purchase, leaving some owners of the older models facing large repair bills.
The video, which is over eight minutes long, shows Katainen and a group of people loading the car with the dynamite before notably placing a dummy with Elon Musk’s face on it inside the car.
The vehicle then explodes into pieces amid a rather serene and picturesque scene of snowy mountains.
“When I bought that Tesla, the first 1,500 km were nice. It was an excellent car. Then error codes hit. So I ordered the tow truck to take my car in for a service. So the car was at a Tesla dealer’s workshop for about a month. Finally, I got a call that they cannot do anything for my car and that the only option is to change the whole battery cell,” Katainen said in the YouTube video.
“The cost would be at least 20,000 € ($22,000), and permission to operation has to ask Tesla. So I told them that I’m coming to pick up the Tesla. Now I’m going to explode the whole car because apparently there is no guarantee or anything,” he added.
New York Explicitly Makes It a Crime to Fake COVID-19 Vaccination Cards
Epoch Times – New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed into law a measure that makes falsifying COVID-19 vaccination cards a crime.
The measure (S.4516-C/A.7536-B), referred to as the “Truth in Vaccination” law, takes effect immediately.
The law makes it a class D felony to falsify COVID-19 vaccine cards, by amending the legal definition of a “written instrument” in the penal code to explicitly include a COVID-19 vaccine card that shows information such as the date a person received their vaccination, the type of vaccine, and its lot number.
Non-violent class D felonies are punishable from no jail with probation, to up to seven years in jail.
‘95 Percent’ Fully Vaccinated Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship Reports COVID-19 Outbreak
Epoch Times – Royal Caribbean’s Odyssey of the Seas won’t dock at the island nations of Aruba and Curacao this week following an onboard COVID-19 outbreak involving some 55 passengers and crew members, the firm said.
All passengers aged 12 and older and crew members have to show proof they’ve been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to board the ship, according to the cruise line’s policy.
“The decision was made together with the islands out of an abundance of caution due to the current trend of COVID-19 cases in the destinations’ communities as well as crew and guests testing positive on board,” Royal Caribbean said in a statement Thursday to news outlets.
The cruise was slated to make stops in Aruba and Curacao. Now, the ship will stay at sea until its regular scheduled return on Dec. 26.
At least “55 crew members and guests, representing 1.1 percent of the onboard community,” tested positive, Royal Caribbean added in its statement. “The cruise sailed with 95 percent of the onboard community fully vaccinated.”
“Each guest’s regimen must include at least two doses of vaccine unless the guest received the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine,” according to Royal Caribbean’s website. “This guidance is per the U.S. CDC, and no exceptions will be made, even if the guest’s resident country has authorized a single-shot regimen for a two dose vaccine.”
There are about 5,000 passengers and crew on board the vessel, said Royal Caribbean. Everyone who tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, is experiencing mild or asymptomatic symptoms, according to the company.

Fully Vaccinated Holland America Cruise Ship Turned Away After COVID-19 Positive Tests Reported
Epoch Times – A Holland America Line cruise ship was denied entry to a Mexican port over the weekend after health officials discovered positive COVID-19 cases on board.
The Mexican state of Jalisco’s health department confirmed in a statement to media outlets that 21 crew members on the Koningsdam cruise line tested positive for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes COVID-19 when it arrived in the tourist resort city of Puerto Vallarta.
“Through onboard testing, we have confirmed that a small number of fully-vaccinated crew on Koningsdam tested positive for COVID-19,” Holland America wrote in a statement on Saturday to news outlets. “All are showing mild or no symptoms and are in isolation. Close contacts have been quarantined out of an abundance of caution.”
According to the Jalisco health department, the entire crew was tested for COVID-19 before departure on Dec. 19. Only one positive case was discovered.
“Due to a last-minute notification from authorities that guests would not be permitted ashore, the ship departed and will return to San Diego to arrive in two days as scheduled,” Holland America also said in a statement provided to KNSD-TV. “Guests were notified and continue to enjoy activities aboard the vessel.”
US Secret Service Investigating Hundreds of Fraud Cases Linked to Funds for Pandemic Relief
Epoch Times – More than 900 fraud cases linked to pandemic-related relief funds are being investigated, said a U.S. Secret Service statement issued Tuesday.
In the statement, the Secret Service added there was potentially fraudulent activity nearing $100 billion related to the relief funds last year.
The $100 billion figure is based on the aggregate of two previous reports by the Inspector General that have been public for months and looked at issues in 2020. There is no new research, data, or analysis of fraud, the statement noted. Presumably, that figure is now higher.
Most of the loss has come from unemployment benefits improperly disbursed, said the statement.
“The exploitation of pandemic-related relief is an investigative priority for the Secret Service and its partners,” it added.
FDA Authorizes Merck’s COVID-19 Pill Weeks After US Makes $2.2 Billion Purchase
Epoch Times – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday morning issued an emergency use authorization for Merck’s antiviral pill for COVID-19, more than 12 hours after giving the green light for a similar, oral drug made by Pfizer.
Merck’s drug, named molnupiravir, was developed with Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, and it was shown to reduce hospitalizations and deaths from 9.7 percent to 6.8 percent in clinical trials of high-risk individuals, according to the federal drug regulator.
The medication is designed to treat adults who are at a high risk of becoming severely ill from COVID-19, the illness caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus. The oral drug can also be used in the treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 cases in adults and for whom alternative COVID-19 treatments are not accessible or aren’t clinically appropriate, the agency said.
“As new variants of the virus continue to emerge, it is crucial to expand the country’s arsenal of COVID-19 therapies using emergency use authorization,” Patrizia Cavazzoni, director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said in a statement.
And Thursday’s emergency use authorization “provides an additional treatment option against the COVID-19 virus in the form of a pill that can be taken orally,” Cavazzoni continued in her statement.

The Most Reverend Justin Welby, the top bishop in the Church of England, said that getting vaccinated is a “moral issue” which should supersede personal desires or rights.
“It’s not about me and my rights to choose, it’s about how I love my neighbour. Vaccination reduces my chances — doesn’t eliminate — but it reduces my chances of getting ill and reducing my chances of getting ill, reduces my chances of infecting others,” Welby told ITV news on Tuesday evening.
“It’s very simple, so I would say yes, to love one another as Jesus said, get vaccinated, get boosted,” he added.

Truth Seeker – After the Conejo Guardian’s report on alarming trends in Ventura County hospitals, more nurses have come forward to affirm the rise in unexplained heart problems, strokes and blood clotting in local vaccinated patient populations. Sam, a critical care nurse at an ICU in a Ventura County hospital, came forward because, “I’m tired of all the B.S. that’s going on,” he told the Guardian. “It’s crazy how nobody questions anything anymore.”

“They [doctors] were searching for everything under the sun and documenting this in the chart, but nowhere do you see if she was vaccinated or not,” Sam says. “One thing the vaccine causes is thrombosis, clotting. Florida Surgeon General Promotes Nutraceuticals for COVID-19
Epoch Times – Florida’s new surgeon general, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, has issued a statewide public service announcement in support of commonsense COVID prevention strategies such as optimizing your vitamin D, staying active, eating nutrient-dense foods, and boosting your immune system with supplements.
Florida Health’s HealthierYouFL.org website now urges Floridians to “Talk to your health care provider about how certain supplements or foods containing vitamins and minerals might help boost your immune system, such as zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C and quercetin.” These are all well-known supplements that have been shown to have a positive impact on your COVID-19 risk.
The surgeon general also supports the use of monoclonal antibodies in acute cases, and as prevention in high-risk patients who have been exposed to COVID-19. Available treatment locations can be found on FloridaHealthCOVID19.gov.
Oregon Man Who Told Biden ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Says He’s Received Threats
Epoch Times – The Oregon man who drew international headlines when he told President Joe Biden “Let’s go Brandon” during a telephone call over the weekend said the comment was made in “jest” and that he’s received threats since the stunt.
Jared Schmeck, a father of four, told the Oregonian on Dec. 25 that he is “being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech” and is now receiving threatening phone calls.
The call, which was streamed online, drew media attention, in part because of Biden’s response. He told Schmeck, “‘Let’s go Brandon,’ I agree.” Biden didn’t appear to be affected at all by Schmeck’s quip.
Schmeck, a former police officer who works for a power company, said his family typically calls into the NORAD Santa Tracker on Christmas Eve every year and didn’t know it was being livestreamed.
“I understand there is a vulgar meaning to ‘Let’s go, Brandon,’ but I’m not that simple-minded, no matter how I feel about him,” he told the outlet, adding that he has no ill feelings toward Biden. But, he argued, Biden could be “doing a better job” as president.
“[Biden] seems like he’s a cordial guy,” he said. “There’s no animosity or anything like that. It was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner. … I love him just like I love any brother or sister.”
Schmeck said he isn’t a supporter of President Donald Trump, but is a “free-thinking American and follower of Jesus Christ.”
Lockdown Policies and Mask Mandates Linked With Lower IQ in Children: Psychiatrist
Epoch Times – The nation’s recent lockdown policies and mask mandates will create a generation of children who exhibit lower IQs and signs of social brain damage, according to a clinical psychiatrist for children and adolescents.
Dr. Mark McDonald cited an Aug. 11 study by Brown University (pdf) that found that “children born during the pandemic have significantly reduced verbal, motor, and overall cognitive performance compared to children born pre-pandemic,” during an interview with host Cindy Drukier on a Dec. 25 episode of NTD’s “The Nation Speaks.” NTD is a sister media outlet of The Epoch Times.
The masks, “Zoom schools,” and lockdown mandates have led to “deprivation overall, of social contact, [of] not being able to see faces, being stuck at home all day long, [and this] has actually caused brain damage to the youngsters,” he said.
In another interview in the episode, professor Carl Heneghan, the director of Oxford University’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, cited evidence that pandemic restrictions and the “fear we instill into children” has led to the worsening of psychological problems.
Heneghan cited his Oct. 2 study, which concluded that “eight out of 10 children and adolescents report worsening of behavior or any psychological symptoms or an increase in negative feelings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“School closures contributed to increased anxiety, loneliness and stress; negative feelings due to COVID-19 increased with the duration of school closures,” the study reports. “Deteriorating mental health was found to be worse in females and older adolescents.”
Adolescents above the age of 12 also did worse than children under 12, as adolescents face increasing peer pressure, social pressure, and are more aware of messages being delivered globally, according to Heneghan.

CDC Issues Contingency Plan to Prevent Health Care Worker Shortage Over Possible COVID-19 Surge
Epoch Times – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an alert to health care workers across the United States to prepare for a potential surge of COVID-19 infections due to the high transmissibility of the Omicron variant.
The alert is designed as an update to “recommendations to enhance protection for healthcare personnel, patients, and visitors, and ensure adequate staffing in healthcare facilities,” the alert said, which added that the CDC’s contingency options include shortening the amount of time health care workers need to quarantine following a COVID-19 infection.
“Under conventional conditions, healthcare facilities can allow asymptomatic healthcare personnel with SARS-CoV-2 infection, regardless of vaccination status, to return to work after seven days and a negative test in accordance with CDC guidance,” said the alert, referring to another name for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.
But under “crisis” conditions, health care workers can return to work after five days as a last resort without any testing as long as they remain asymptomatic. Those health care workers should wear a respirator or well-fitting face mask while on the job, the agency said.
Certain circumstances need to be factored into any decision on whether to allow a COVID-19-positive health care employee back to work, the CDC said.
“This includes healthcare personnel who are moderately to severely immunocompromised,” the CDC said. “Also, in the event of ongoing transmission within a facility that is not controlled with initial interventions, strong consideration should be given to using more stringent work restriction for healthcare personnel with higher-risk exposures.”

Law enforcement seized 1,232 pounds (559 kilograms) of fentanyl—which is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine—in 2016-2018 and 7,710 pounds (3,497 kilograms) in 2019-2021.

Previously, the Pfizer vaccine and all other COVID-19 vaccines were being used under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), and this is what was granted to the Pfizer vaccine as it was originally manufactured and labeled.
Harvard chemist Charles Lieber found guilty of all charges related to Chinese research funding | Chemistry World – The former chair of Harvard University’s chemistry department has been convicted of all six felony charges he faced related to his receipt of millions in research funding from China, and now faces up to 26 years in prison and up to 1.2 million in fines. Charles Lieber, who is living with late-stage lymphoma, was found guilty on 21 December of two counts of making false statements to federal authorities, two counts of filing a false income tax return, and two counts of failing to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The 62-year-old will be sentenced at a later hearing. Lieber was arrested in January 2020 for concealing his affiliation with the Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) in China from his university and the US government agencies that funded his work.
FAA fears 5G could affect ‘wide range’ of aircraft systems
RT – The FAA issued the broadened safety bulletin on Thursday, outlining new concerns on how 5G networks could impact aviation while stating that it is working with telecom providers to ensure the two can “safely coexist.” The agency had previously warned that 5G could disrupt aircrafts’ radio altimeters – which allow planes to land in low-visibility conditions, among other things. But its latest notice states that anomalous data readings from altimeters could in turn affect a “wide range” of other safety systems, naming at least 17 – from terrain awareness and ground proximity, to take-off and flight control, as well as various warning systems.

Former Minneapolis Officer Kim Potter Found Guilty on Manslaughter Charges
Epoch Times – | A jury found Kim Potter, the former Minnesota police officer who said she mistakenly thought her gun was a Taser, guilty on two manslaughter counts on Wednesday. Potter, a former Brooklyn Center police officer, pleaded not guilty to first- and second-degree manslaughter charges in connection to the death of Daunte Wright, which sparked protests and violent riots earlier this year. Potter said she mistakenly took her pistol for a Taser when she shot Wright in April. The jury, comprised of six men and six women, spent over 26 hours deliberating before rendering the decision. Potter, 49, will face a sentence of about seven years under state guidelines, though prosecutors have said they will seek more.
