1.Judge Sets New Date for Trump Trial After Former President’s Request for Extensive Delay

Former President Donald Trump’s federal criminal trial has been delayed into 2024, but is still slated to take place before voters vote for the next president.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on July 21 said the trial will not start until May 20, 2024.

Mr. Trump is facing 37 felony counts, including conspiring to obstruct justice and illegally keeping control of national defense information.

The trial will take place in federal court in Florida and is expected to last about two weeks.

2.Justice Department threatens to sue Texas over floating border barriers in Rio Grande

The Justice Department warned officials in Texas on Thursday that the federal government will sue the state unless it removes border barriers it recently set up in the middle of the Rio Grande to repel migrants from entering the U.S.

In a letter to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the state’s interim attorney general, two Justice Department lawyers said the floating barriers authorized by Abbott earlier this month violate federal law, threaten to impede the work of federal law enforcement and create “serious risks” to public safety and the environment.

“Texas’s unauthorized construction of the floating barrier is a prima facie violation of the Rivers and Harbors Act. This floating barrier poses a risk to navigation, as well as public safety, in the Rio Grande River, and it presents humanitarian concerns,” wrote Todd Kim, an assistant attorney general, and Jaime Esparza, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas. CNN first reported the letter.

3.US Warns of False Flag Attacks as Russia Targets Civilian Ships Off Ukraine

The United States is warning that Russia could use its own sea mines in a false flag operation to justify the ongoing targeting of civilian grain vessels in the northern Black Sea.

White House National Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby told reporters on July 20 that the Biden administration felt it was necessary to issue a “warning” about Russian disinformation on the topic.

Moscow, he said, released a video late Wednesday alleging to demonstrate the seizure and detonation of a Ukrainian sea mine.

Despite the claim, Mr. Kirby said, Russia itself is currently placing sea mines at the entrances to Ukrainian ports and targeting civilian ships carrying food to and from the region.

“Our information indicates additional sea mines in the entrances to Ukrainian ports, and yesterday we observed Russia release a video of the detection and detonation of what they claim was a Ukrainian sea mine,” Mr. Kirby said.

“We believe that this is rather a coordinated effort to justify any attacks against civilian ships in the Black Sea and then blame them on Ukraine in what we would consider… a false flag operation.”

4.Sound of Freedom thunders past $100M at the box office and edges out Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible on Wednesday

Ahead of the dual-blockbuster opening weekend for Oppenheimer and Barbie, independent film Sound of Freedom has cemented its status as a surprise summer hit after surging past $100 million at the box office.

Since its July 4 release date, the Angel Studios thriller about child sex trafficking has upended industry expectations, raking in nearly seven times its $14.5 million budget in North American ticket sales.

Last weekend, it comfortably outpaced pricey blockbusters like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and on Wednesday it edged past Tom Cruise‘s new Mission: Impossible installment in single-day ticket sales.

5.Car Thefts Skyrocketed in the First Half of 2023

There’s been a dramatic increase in car thefts in America in the first half of 2023. The “Crime Trends in U.S. Cities: Mid-Year 2023 Update” study, published by the Council on Criminal Justice, found there were about one-third “more motor vehicle thefts from January through June 2023 compared to the first half of 2022.” Veuer’s Maria Mercedes Galuppo has the story.

BIS Blueprint For ‘Unified Ledger’: Global Control Of ALL Assets, Information & People

We’ve all heard the infamous World Economic Forum phrase “You’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy.” But how do global elites and central bankers intend to roll out this diabolical scheme? Well, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) mapped it out in their recently published report on a proposed “unified ledger” called, “Blueprint for the future monetary system: improving the old, enabling the new.”

Sam Altman’s Worldcoin Is A Precursor To Global Universal Basic Income

Worldcoin is being developed by two arch-Technocrats, Sam Altman and Alex Blania. Altman, an ardent supporter of Universal Basic Income (UBI), so it is no surprise that IndianExpress carries an article that states, “Worldcoin aims to eventually bring Universal Basic Income to the masses.” This is pure Technocracy, not Communism or Socialism.”

To get free Worldcoins, all you have to do is scan your iris using their patented “Orb” that registers a permanent id for you to use in future transactions. Further details are sketchy because the entire program is still in beta testing.

The Final Countdown: Agenda 2030 on the March

King Charles III insists that we have only six years left to “save the planet.”  (p)Resident Biden is spending tens of billions of dollars to ensure that high-speed broadband internet access is universal within the U.S. and its territories by 2030.  Intelligence analysts continue to predict that China will invade and conquer Taiwan no later than 2030.  Four Electoral Court judges in Brazil have banned former president Jair Bolsonaro — an anti-globalist conservative — from office for eight years.  The Department of (in)Justice and political activists posing as prosecutors in New York and Georgia are doing everything in their illegitimate powers to prevent President Trump’s return to the White House — a reality that would derail the Deep State’s Marxist globalism this decade.

It seems as if all the great powers of the world are marching in lockstep toward the same Zero Hour.  Global industry must be immediately reorganized in order to avert “climate” disaster.  Americans must be universally chained to an online system that can monitor their movements, control their digital assets, assess their compliance with “vaccine” and “global warming” mandates, and feed them “approved” information.  Free countries such as Taiwan must be absorbed by communist dictatorships.  Outspoken nationalists who oppose one-world government must be deposed or jailed permanently.  Mark your calendars and prepare accordingly, because 2030 sure looks as though it will be a doozy!

19,000 People Evacuated from Greek Island of Rhodes as Wildfires Continue

Brazil to rein in gun ownership after Bolsonaro-era expansion

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has moved to restrict access to firearms, seeking to reverse a trend of proliferating gun ownership under his predecessor Jair Bolsonaro.

Lula signed a decree on Friday tightening access to guns, cutting the number of firearms a civilian can own from four to two. The new regulations also require documentation affirming the necessity of holding the weapon and decrease the amount of ammunition a person can have per gun.

RNC Chair Says It Would Be ‘a Mistake’ for Trump to Skip Primary Debates

Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), said on Wednesday that it would be “a mistake” for former President Donald Trump to skip the GOP’s first primary debates next month.

Mr. Trump, citing his lead in national polls, has indicated on several occasions that he is considering skipping the debate, to be hosted by Fox News on Aug. 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Speaking in an interview on “Fox & Friends” on July 19, Ms. McDaniel confirmed that she has addressed the former commander-in-chief about his attendance, and added that she hopes all candidates who qualify will appear on the stage. She did not provide details on the discussion she had with Mr. Trump.

“I think it’s a mistake to not do the debates, but that’s going to be up to him and his campaign,” Ms. McDaniel told the network.

“I think getting in front of the American people, with the Fox audience that you’re going to bring, people are clamoring for solutions,” she added. “And this is an opportunity for us to contrast our ideas versus the Democrats. It’s not just about the primary. It’s also about the general election because we are going to need independent voters and others to win the White House.”

Texas’s Border Crackdown Bears Fruit: 422 Million Lethal Fentanyl Doses Seized, More Than 31,000 Criminals Arrested

Texas’s efforts to stop the smuggling of drugs, weapons, and people into the United States under Operation Lone Star have borne fruit, according to data provided by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who pledged to continue deploying “every strategy” available to respond to the border crisis.

Operation Lone Star started in March 2021 in response to a surge in illegal immigration, as a combined effort of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Texas National Guard. The operation deployed air, ground, marine, and tactical border security assets to high-threat areas along the border in an effort to deny Mexican cartels and others the ability to smuggle people, weapons, and drugs into the country.

A little more than two years since the start of the border security initiative, Mr. Abbott on July 21 provided figures that hint at the fruits of the effort, while blaming President Joe Biden’s policies for the dire situation at the border.

The multi-agency effort has led to more than 394,200 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 31,300 criminal arrests, with reports of more than 29,100 felony charges brought, the data disclosed by Mr. Abbott show.

Mayorkas Claims Illegal Border Crossings Are Down 65 Percent Due to New Biden Policies

The number of illegal crossings at the U.S. Southern border is down more than 60 percent owing to the Biden administration’s sweeping new immigration regulations, according to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Mr. Mayorkas made the comments in an interview at Aspen Security Forum in Colorado on July 20.

The Homeland Security Secretary said officials have seen an approximately 65 percent drop in the number of people encountered at the border since Title 42—the Trump-era policy that allowed Border Patrol agents to turn illegal aliens back to Mexico immediately if they were deemed to pose a health threat amid the COVID-19 pandemic—came to an end.

Title 42 expired in May, prompting widespread concerns that illegal border crossings into the United States would surge.

“We have built lawful pathways for individuals so that they do not need to take that dangerous journey to our Southern border in pursuit of humanitarian relief, ” Mr. Mayorkas said. “We have accelerated our refugee processing, we have instituted family reunification programs, we use our discretionary authority under humanitarian parole and we are meeting people where they are,” he continued.

“At the same time, we have sought to disincentivize people from taking that dangerous journey and we raised the evidentiary threshold that one must meet to make an asylum claim at the border,” Mr. Mayorkas said.

Report: Migrants Attack Two New Yorkers After Throwing Objects at Pedestrians

A group of migrants, staying in a taxpayer-funded shelter, are accused of violently attacking two New Yorkers who intervened to stop them from throwing objects at pedestrians.

In late May, Mayor Eric Adams (D) announced plans to begin housing border crossers and illegal aliens at the former Lincoln Correctional Center, a 10,000-square-foot facility. The jail was closed in 2019 by then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

Vetting Vivek Ramaswamy

Commentary  from The Dossier Substack – Former pharma exec and newfound anti-ESG crusader has substantial ties to China, the Covid industrial complex, Pfizer, Soros inc, and a track record of business calamities.

Vivek Ramaswamy came out of nowhere, and now he’s running for president.

Like many Americans, Mr Ramaswamy popped up on my radar due to his effective and passionate voice against the ESG and DEI movements, the climate hoax, and the woke cult, for which he deserves a lot of credit.

Yet suddenly, he’s a featured television mainstay on the likes of Fox News, CNBC, and elsewhere. Over the past few months, the 37 year old has suddenly, almost improbably, captured millions of eyes and ears with his passionate and articulate declarations against these agenda items.

A man who was almost an entire unknown before 2022 has thrown his hat in the ring for the nation’s highest office, so it’s time to do some real vetting.

There’s so little we actually know about Vivek Ramaswamy, other than his clearly carefully crafted brand.

Who is the real Vivek Ramaswamy? Let’s get started. Soros, the WEF, and Wikipedia edits

Biden Admin’s Plea to Employers as 3.8 Million Americans Set to Lose Medicaid

The Biden administration wrote to companies on Thursday requesting they keep their employees insured as millions transition to Medicaid coverage.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Medicaid coverage terminations were paused until March 31, 2023. Now, state Medicaid agencies are returning to regular operations, renewing coverage for eligible individuals and terminating it for those who no longer qualify.

Due to this transition, around 3.8 million individuals are projected to lose Medicaid eligibility and may need to seek alternative coverage, with employment-based coverage being a potential option.

Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), sent a letter to employers on Thursday stating that individuals who have lost Medicaid coverage should have the opportunity to enroll in group health plans at any point in the next year through a special enrollment period.

“The Biden-Harris Administration is calling on employers and other plan sponsors to ensure that employees and their families remain connected to coverage, including through extending the period for special enrollment under the group health plans they sponsor,” Ms. Brooks-LaSure wrote in her letter (pdf).

Federal Agency Investigating Why Delta Passengers Forced to Sit on Tarmac in Extreme Heat

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg confirmed the Department of Transportation (DOT) is now investigating why Delta Air Lines passengers remained on a plane in high heat with no air conditioning at a Las Vegas airport earlier this week.

“The reports are shocking and we are investigating, I want to know how it was possible for passengers to be left in triple-digit heat onboard an aircraft for that long. Even at normal temperatures a tarmac delay is not supposed to go that long and we have rules about that, which we are actively enforcing right now,” Mr. Buttigieg said in a statement on Friday to news outlets about the incident.

Supreme Court Asked to Decide on Law Blocking Abortion Clinic Protests

A Catholic “sidewalk counselor” has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to review a New York county law that prevents pro-life protesters from speaking to people near abortion clinics, according to a religious liberty law firm.

Debra Vitagliano is now petitioning the Supreme Court to look at a 2000 court ruling, Hill v. Colorado, which involves a 1993 law that prevents the approach of a person within eight feet without their consent to give them fliers or counseling, according to law firm Becket.

Woman Sues Doctors for Removing Her ‘Healthy Breasts’ at Age 18

An American woman has sued doctors who prescribed her testosterone when she was a minor and removed her breasts when she was 18.

Prisha Mosley, 25, says the doctors committed fraud and medical malpractice with the actions, which were predicated on claims that they would help solve mental health problems such as depression.

“Defendants lied to and withheld critical information from and about a young and vulnerable teenage girl, who was a victim of sexual assault and suffering from severe psychological impairment and disability,” the suit, filed in North Carolina, states.

“Instead of providing competent treatment for her depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and emergent borderline personality disorder, they convinced her that changing her body to appear as the opposite sex would solve her substantial mental disabilities that had plagued her for years.”

Doctors kept Ms. Mosley on testosterone even though her mental problems were not subsiding. Counselors later recommended she undergo breast removal as part of what they said was her “path to self-realization.”

Ms. Mosley’s breasts were removed by Dr. Eric Emerson, a plastic surgeon, in 2016.

Documents she signed said that the procedure was “breast reduction” aimed at women with large breasts but the entire breasts were removed. There was no language stating that the procedure was irreversible.

Ms. Mosley now cannot nurse a child, and may not be able to get pregnant, due to side effects from the testosterone and breast removal.

Pro-China influence campaign infiltrates U.S. news websites

A Chinese marketing firm that has counted state police and other government bureaus as clients is leveraging newswire services to place pro-Beijing stories on the websites of almost three dozen news outlets across America in an apparent effort to help Beijing improve its image abroad.

Dozens of Armed IRS Agents In Tactical Gear Raid Florida Business: Report

Dozens of armed IRS agents recently raided a Florida business, with witnesses telling a local news outlet that they were stunned by the show of force by the tax agency.

At least 25 to 30 IRS agents in tactical gear executed a search warrant at a business in Stuart, Florida, last week, according to Fox 29.

“It was like a scene from a movie,” an unnamed witness told the outlet. “They had the big gear, tactical gear because they probably didn’t know what they were walking into.”

An IRS spokesperson confirmed to The Epoch Times in an emailed statement that the agents were from the IRS Criminal Investigations (IRS-CI) unit, a division whose agents investigate crimes like fraud and tax evasion.

The agents, who are authorized to carry guns as their work can be dangerous, were at the location on “official business,” the spokesperson added.

EXCLUSIVE: FBI Carried Out Warrantless Monitoring on Man Who Posted Guns for Sale on Facebook

A Texas man who posted on Facebook that he was selling his own guns was placed under warrantless surveillance by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The ATF investigated the man, found no evidence, yet gave his information to the FBI to monitor him for at least six months.

According to internal documents reviewed by The Epoch Times, two ATF special agents interviewed the Hispanic man who admitted to “advertising” his personal firearms for sale on Facebook. He stated that he had a “habit” of purchasing new guns, tinkering with them, losing interest, and subsequently selling them. The man told the agents that he never made a profit.

“I kept waiting for the part where ATF identified something illegal, and it never came,” Eric Olson, a lawyer for Gun Owners of America (GOA) told The Epoch Times. GOA obtained the records through its ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the ATF and FBI. This production is more heavily redacted than the previous ten, with entire pages covered in black.

“They are monitoring this guy for doing what millions of other hobbyists do—selling part of their personal collection. That’s not a crime, but apparently ATF doesn’t like people turning over their guns at a high rate,” Mr. Olson said.

Big Tech Overlords Decry Lack Of AI Regulation, Then Fight Regulators To Stand Down

Big Tech companies are pushing back against proposed federal rules to increase oversight of artificial intelligence (AI) tools used in patient care, STAT reported.

The companies, including Google, Amazon and Epic, are set to make windfall profits from the expansion of AI in healthcare by selling a wide variety of tools to insurers and providers for everything from automating clinical documentation procedures, to assessing insurance claims to providing virtual care.

The tech industry was joined by large healthcare providers, major private insurers and medical software vendors in opposing the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s (ONC) proposal to place restrictions on and expand the transparency of the AI and machine learning (ML) technologies that support decision-making in healthcare — what ONC calls “predictive decision support interventions,” or DSI.

UFO whistleblower to go before House panel

The House this week will be flooded with talk about unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), as a House panel gets set to hold a hearing on the increased sightings of such objects.

The hearing comes as frustrated lawmakers are demanding more information on UFOs and UAPs, which grew as a topic of discussion after an Air Force Veteran and former member of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency claimed that the government is holding back information about UFOs. That individual, David Grusch, is among the witnesses slated to testify.

FBI Wrongly Searched Surveillance Data for US Senator’s Name, Court Finds

FBI employees and agents inappropriately searched foreign surveillance data for the last names of a state senator and a U.S. senator, said a court opinion that was released Friday.

The newly disclosed finding is included in the release of a 117-page order (pdf) declassified on July 16 by the federal judiciary’s foreign intelligence surveillance court in April—a rare move as that court generally issues rulings in secret.

In the court document, issued by Judge Rudolph Contreras, an unnamed FBI analyst in June 2022 conducted four separate searches of information that was collected via the warrantless surveillance program under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) “using the last names of a U.S. Senator and a state senator.” Their names were not disclosed in the unsealed ruling.

It also showed the FBI analyst possessed information that showed the lawmakers were being targeted by a foreign intelligence operation. However, according to the court filing, the Justice Department’s national security division reviewed their searches and found they didn’t meet the FBI’s internal standards.

Another FBI employee improperly queried the Social Security number of a state judge who alleged civil rights violations by a municipal chief of police, according to the opinion of the chief judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The judge’s Social Security number was accessed in October of last year, but the agency also found the analyst didn’t have enough evidence to be authorized to carry out the search.

Geoengineering Watch Global Alert News, July 22, 2023, #415

“Four Times More Toxic”: How Wildfire Smoke Ages Over Time, that’s the headline from a new European Commission report. So what changes occur with smoke over time? It becomes far more toxic due to oxidation and atmospheric chemical reactions. Will “official sources” ever address the ongoing geoengineering atmospheric particulate spraying that is taking place directly over the top of smoke canopies as a part of this equation? Not likely. Almost a thousand fires are now burning in Canada, climate engineering operations are inseparable from the incinerations that are occurring all over the world. “Climate collapse could happen fast” and the current “extinction event will be worse than first predicted”, two not so pleasant admissions just issued by matrix media. Not because they care about the truth, but because they can no longer hide it. Is there still time to alter our current course before impact at full velocity? We will very soon know the answer to that question. The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

A Leading Climate Scientist Expresses Doubt About the Veracity of the Global Warming Movement

A new book by a leading climate change scientist gives reason for hope that the light of truth is shedding a few rays into the dark, dystopian, ideologically driven pseudoscience known as global warming.

With the 2023 publication of Climate Uncertainty and Risk: Rethinking Our Response, geoscientist Judith A. Curry, Ph.D., acknowledges that, in 2007, she “joined the consensus” in supporting the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report as “authoritative.” What changed her perspective was Climategate, the 2009 hacking and unauthorized release of emails from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia. The email exchanges between climate scientists and IPCC authors confirmed her “concerns and suspicions” that “politics and personal agendas” had encroached on the IPCC assessment process.

In 2017, Curry resigned from a prestigious faculty position as chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. “As a result of the polarization of climate science, I found that I had lost my love of science in the context of the academic ecosystem,” she admits.

How Biden Plans to Block the Sun to Save the Planet

Solar radiation modification (SRM) is a form of geoengineering that aims to cool off the Earth by reflecting sunlight back into space

The controversial strategy comes with significant risks, but that didn’t stop The White House from moving forward with a research plan for “solar and other rapid climate interventions”

The congressionally mandated research plan is focused on atmospheric-based approaches, such as stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) and marine cloud brightening (MCB)

SRM can have unintended consequences, including lower average precipitation, loss of biodiversity and impacts to food production, along with heightening geopolitical tensions

There’s also a risk that climate modification technologies could be weaponized against the global population by controlling rainfall and drought

Antibiotics Linked to Increased Risk of Kidney Stones

Five classes of oral antibiotics have been identified as risk factors for kidney stones: broad-spectrum penicillins, fluoroquinolones, nitrofurantoin, cephalosporins and sulfas

The association is most pronounced among younger children, and remains statistically significant for up to five years after exposure, except for broad-spectrum penicillin

Between 1997 and 2012, the annual incidence of kidney stone disease rose by 16%. The highest increase was seen in 15- to 19-year-olds, among whom the incidence rate increased 26% per 5 years

Previous studies have found an association between oral antibiotics and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer, likely due to disruption of gut microbiome

Fluoroquinolones, which are frequently prescribed for upper respiratory infections and urinary tract infections (UTIs) have been linked to an increased risk for aortic dissection (tears in the aorta), which can be fatal

Preventing and Reversing Cancer Naturally: The Anti-Cancer Diet Shopping List

This year alone, nearly 600,000 Americans will lose their lives to cancer. Recent estimates tell us that 41 percent of all Americans will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetimes and 21 percent of the population will lose their lives to this devastating disease.[1] The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) estimates that there will be 27.5 million new cancer cases globally by 2040.[2] These numbers reflect the need for a complete overhaul of our approach to cancer.

Despite being overlooked for decades, volumes of scientific evidence prove that diet and nutrition play a leading role in cancer development. Only in recent years have mainstream physicians and health groups begun to recognize the importance of our lifestyle choices when it comes to preventing and reversing cancer. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains as a powerful way to help stave off this disease. Here is my list of anti-cancer superfoods that you can begin incorporating into your diet today for greater health and vitality. I’ve included dozens of scientific citations demonstrating the benefits of each of these nutrient-rich foods.

USDA Researchers Contend Ultra-Processed Foods Can Make Up 91 Percent of Healthy Diet

Food researchers allege study misleads the public about processed foods in the interest of ultra-processed food makers

A government-endorsed study that asserts a diet heavy in ultra-processed foods can remain balanced and nutritious has elicited sharp criticism among nutrition researchers who allege it confuses the public about one of the major health issues of our time: ultra-processed foods.

In a novel stance, scientists at the Agricultural Research Service’s Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center argue that ultra-processed foods can make up to 91 percent of a balanced diet. The preliminary study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) contends that a diet predominantly comprising ultra-processed foods can score highly on diet quality and meet most macro and micronutrient requirements.

CMT Faces Boycott Calls After Pulling Controversial Jason Aldean Song

Jason Aldean fans are calling for a boycott of the Country Music Television (CMT) after the network pulled his latest song.

Aldean’s recent single “Try That in a Small Town” caused a stir after its seemingly pro-gun lyrics were termed “very scary” by some. The song has divided opinions with some on social media speaking out, while others, including former president Donald Trump, defending country music singer Aldean.

CMT came in for criticism after it confirmed on Tuesday that it was removing the song. Some initially compared the channel unfavorably to Bud Light, which has been facing boycott calls over its collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Trump, DeSantis Voice Support for Country Music Star Jason Aldean

Former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis have jumped to the defense of country music singer Jason Aldean after accusations of releasing a “pro-lynching” music video were leveled at him.

“Jason Aldean is a fantastic guy who just came out with a great new song. Support Jason all the way. MAGA!!!” wrote Mr. Trump on Truth Social.

“When the media attacks you, you’re doing something right. @Jason_Aldean has nothing to apologize for,” wrote Mr. DeSantis, retweeting a statement Mr. Aldean wrote in response to the accusations.

The accusations prompted Mr. Aldean to make a statement earlier this week defending the song he released in May.

“Try That In A Small Town, for me, refers to the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief,” he wrote in a statement that has been viewed 22 million times. A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked Arizona from enforcing a law banning transgenders from playing on girls’ school sports teams.

The judge in Tucson granted a preliminary injunction to allow the processing of a lawsuit (pdf) filed on behalf of two prepubescent transgenders against the state’s “Save Women’s Sports Act,” which was passed by the Legislature last year.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne, a defendant in the case, said the decision will be appealed.

“The United States Supreme Court will ultimately decide this, and they will rule in our favor,” Mr. Horne said in a statement.

‘A Godly Marriage’: Mom of 5 Greets Husband at the Door Every Day, Her Small Act Impacts Him So Much

A homeschooling mom of five who chose to start greeting her husband at the door every day after work, to share a private moment, had no idea of the massive impact it would have.

Bethany Rose, 35, met her husband, Jake Rose, 37, on a road trip to New England. They tied the knot in her grandparents’ backyard in eastern Pennsylvania in the spring of 2011. The couple has five children together, aged 8, 6, 3, 2, and 6 months, and is raising their family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Rose, a content creator and Christian podcast host, was always eager to greet her husband when he returned home from his job in robotics but noticed he often had to come find her in their busy house. One day, she decided to start greeting him at the door.

Family Saves a Dog Diagnosed With Cancer 30 Minutes Before He Was Going to Be Euthanized

A family from California that was going through a personal heartbreak helped save a German shepherd 30 minutes before he was going to be put down. Since welcoming the canine into their home, they’ve all received their happy ending.

Thirty-four-year-old Trish Bauer from San Bernardino was reeling from the loss of her daughter when she came across a 12-year-old dog, Wilbur, on her Instagram feed.

“Last February we lost our daughter, Millie,” Ms. Bauer told The Epoch Times. “She was born without a heartbeat. And I went through this really, dark time.”

Since sleeping was “impossible,” Ms. Bauer would lie in bed scrolling on her phone until her brain finally switched off. During the wee hours before Christmas Eve of 2022, she came across a reel of a dog. Alongside the short video was a line stating, “I die tomorrow alone on this cold cement floor.”

Looking at his picture, the first thing the grieving mom noticed was his eyes.

“They completely drew me in because I felt like his eyes looked like my eyes,” she said. “He was defeated with life … and I knew that look.”

Wilbur’s plight was posted on the Instagram page of the rescue organization Furry Tail Endings and garnered hundreds of comments from many who were interested in fostering him. At that moment, Ms. Bauer was moved to comment too.

She wrote: “If you need someone to pick them up or hold him for 24 hours that I could do that.”

Switching off her phone and placing it on the nightstand, a thought lingered in her mind: “Did I just comment on a German shepherd? That was not a cat.”

Ironically, Ms. Bauer runs a cat rescue and has always been scared of dogs.

Foodies are left shocked by video revealing how hot dogs are made – and vow never to eat them again

Foodies have been left disgusted after a video of how hot dog sausages are made resurfaced online.

The YouTube video, which originally featured on the Discovery UK channel in 2019 bur recently popped back up on social media, showed that hot dog sausages are made from a mix of pork, beef and chicken.

But the meat is not freshly prepared for the hot dogs and instead is comprised of leftover trimmings from other cuts, including steak, and pork chops.

The snack, which likely originated from Germany, first goes through a grinding process, which pushes the meat through a metal plate that has pierced holes.

After that, chicken trimmings are added to the ground meat, before mixing in food starch, salt, and other flavourings.

Water is then sprayed into the mix, and everything gets blended together in a big vat.

Manufacturers will then add a of corn syrup for a dash of sweetness.

More water is incorporated to make the hot dogs juicier, as well as helping to mix all the ingredients together.

Another machine then shreds the meat batter into a fine emulsion and vacuums out any air in the mixture.

To mould the processed meat into the classic hot dog shape, cellulose tubing is loaded into the stuffing machine, which pumps the meat puree into a long casing, most commonly the length of a hot dog is 13cm.

In a shocking revelation the narrator told viewers that it takes just 35 seconds to create a string of hot dogs that would span the parameter of a football pitch, twice.

The hot dogs are loaded onto moving racks, which shunt the hot dogs through a liquid smoke shower, before they move into an oven with several cooking zones.

The liquid smokes add the classic hot dog flavouring and it travels from the casing into the meat as they bake.

After the baking process is complete, the dogs are drenched in salty water to cool them in preparation for packaging.

The hot dogs then travel through the factory to an unloading zone, where they are placed onto a conveyor.

At this stage, the hot dogs have a black mark on their casing, but once it is removed, the factory workers can be assured that the hot dog is ready for packaging.

A knife slits each casing in a machine to separate the long tube of hot dogs from one another.

Then, steamy air blows the casing off the docks. The machine in the video peeled the casing of a staggering 700 hot dogs in one minute.

An inspector will check if the hot dogs have been prepared properly and that there are no defects.

The hot dogs are then ready for consumption, so they travel off for packaging.

The factory in the video can do this at an incredible speed, manufacturing 300,000 hot dogs per hour, which equates to nearly two and half million per shift.

Related: Hot Dogs Are Hazardous to Your Health

Hot dogs and other processed meat are also linked to cardiovascular disease and death, according to a recent study. Researchers reviewed food intake records from more than 100,000 participants in the Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE) Study and compared heart disease and mortality with meat consumption. Those who ate more than 150 grams of processed meat per week increased their risk of heart disease and death by 46% and 51%, respectively, when compared to those who did not eat processed meat.

Even just one hot dog can be hazardous to your health. Eating a hot dog takes away 36 minutes of healthy life (good-quality and disease-free life) according to a recent study that evaluated more than 5,800 foods and ranked them by their nutritional disease burden.
