China fines comedy troupe $2m for joke about the military
A Chinese comedy troupe has been slapped with a 14.7m yuan ($2.1m; £1.7m) penalty over a joke about the military that invoked a slogan from President Xi Jinping.
The quip, which likened the behaviour of a comedian’s dogs to military conduct, irked authorities.
They said Shanghai Xiaoguo Culture Media Co and comic Li Haoshi had “humiliated the people’s army”.
The company accepted the penalty and terminated Mr Li’s contract.

Over one million more migrants will end up in the UK before its next general election, an internal document has warned the government, a report claims.
An internal document produced by the UK’s Home Office and leaked to a British newspaper predicted that there will be over one million migrants entering Britain between 2024 and 2025 as a result of various open border policies implemented by the Conservative Party.

Migrant Invasion:
The Biden administration asked several departments and federal agencies, including the the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Interior, to support border authorities ahead of the end of Title 42, the Trump-era migrant expulsion order, on May 11, according to an internal memo exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
In addition to deploying Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Defense Department (DOD) personnel to the southern border, the Biden administration also requested the deployment of Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Commerce and Department of Interior personnel, according to the Friday memo, which Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Acting Executive Associate Director Katrina Berger sent internally.
“Law enforcement partners throughout DHS are being called upon to assist, and CBP’s request for support is one that is being answered across the federal government. This includes support from ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, the Federal Protective Service, the Transportation Security Administration, the United States Coast Guard, and the United States Secret Service,” the memo stated.
11th Circuit reverses ban on sanctuary policies benefiting immigrants
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals found that several immigrant rights organizations lack standing to sue Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody over local law enforcement cooperating with federal immigration officials.
The underlying lawsuit, filed by the City of South Miami, the Florida Immigrant Coalition, the Farmworker Association of Florida, the Family Action Network Movement, Qlatinx, and WeCount, challenged the 2019 approval of Senate Bill 168 by state lawmakers, which prohibits sanctuary policies and requires police to help federal authorities enforce federal immigration law.
“The organizations have not established a cognizable injury and cannot spend their way into standing without an impending threat that the provisions will cause actual harm,” the April 13 opinion states.
The plaintiffs had alleged that SB 168 was unconstitutional because it violated the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution but the decision by the Eleventh Circuit panel reinstates the law.
The judiciary panel ruled that the record contained no evidence that Gov. DeSantis would use his suspension authority to encourage racial profiling.
“There was no evidence that, for instance, the governor made any statement or in any way suggested that a state or local official ought to use racial profiling in connection with enforcing S.B. 168—a statute that requires race neutrality—or cooperating with federal immigration priorities,” the ruling further states. “Indeed, the organizations offered no evidence that Governor DeSantis said anything about how or under what circumstances he would enforce S.B. 168. If anything, Governor DeSantis would presumably follow the law and seek to curtail the discrimination that S.B. 168 expressly prohibits.”
Impeaching Mayorkas Gains Momentum Among Key House Republicansc
Calls among House Republicans to begin impeachment proceedings against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have grown after a week of chaotic and record-breaking illegal migration activity at the southern border.
Several members of the House Judiciary Committee, the committee responsible for conducting impeachments, say they support moving forward with the process.
Articles of impeachment to be introduced for FBI director
The nation knows now, following Special Counsel John Durham’s report on the origins of the false Russia collusion claims made against President Trump, that the FBI at that time was corrupt.
It pursued its attacks on Trump without evidence, and did its best to destroy his candidacy – and then his presidency. One agent infamously claimed he was working to guarantee Trump never would be president.
That has produced calls from some for the FBI to be closed down.
But a report from the Daily Caller indicates U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, R-Ga., has another repair method: Impeach Director Christopher Wray.
And in a statement, her office explained, “Under Wray’s watch, the FBI has intimidated, harassed, and entrapped American citizens that have been deemed enemies of the Biden regime. As such, Director Wray has turned the FBI into Joe Biden and Merrick Garland’s personal police force The Soviet-style tactics used by the FBI against normal Americans are unprecedented in this country. FBI whistleblower Garret O’Boyle told congressional investigators that the FBI created a terrorist threat tag following the Dobbs Supreme Court decision in 2022. O’Boyle confirmed that the purpose of the tag was to target pro-life individuals. On September 23, 2022, armed FBI agents in tactical gear raided the family home of Mark Houck, a pro-life Catholic and father of 7 young children, because he obstructed access to an abortion clinic.”

FBI officials intervened again and again ahead of the 2016 election to limit agents’ ability to investigate potential criminal activity related to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or her presidential campaign, according to a recent report by special counsel John Durham.
The report contrasts the bureau’s treatment of Clinton-related matters with those related to her opponent, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The Clinton-related cases emerged from local field offices only to run into delays and pushback when seeking approval and cooperation from the headquarters in Washington. Top FBI officials responded to the probes with hostility and tried to pick apart their predication, the report details.
Dershowitz: Durham Report Shows ‘Americans Are Right’ to Distrust Government
Special counsel John Durham’s report is a prime example of why Americans lack confidence in the government, according to prominent legal scholar Alan Dershowitz.
“I think it reveals that Americans are right to distrust the government—even civil servants people in the government,” Dershowitz told The Epoch Times on May 15. “This case demonstrates that people are prepared to distort the Constitution to get their way—get their partisan, political way.”
Durham, appointed by then-Attorney General William Barr in October 2020 to review the 2016–17 FBI investigation of alleged ties between former President Donald Trump and Russia, concluded in a report that authorities had no basis to launch the probe.
“[N]either U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation,” Durham wrote in the report. Crossfire Hurricane is the FBI codename for the agency’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.

Adam Schiff (D-Calif), the past Chairman of the House Select Committee on Intelligence who now hopes to be California’s next Democratic senator, remains unswayed by the newly released Durham Report in his conviction that members of former President Donald Trump’s campaign conspired with Russian intelligence operatives to steal the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton.
When asked by The Epoch Times about the Durham Report’s conclusion of no collusion between Trump and Russia and whether the lawmaker stood by his claims to the contrary, Schiff replied, “If you read Mr. Durham’s report, what he said is that there wasn’t evidence of collusion before they began the investigation. That’s obviously a very important distinction.”
The California Democrat then pointed to what he described as “secret meetings” between Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and a Russian intelligence agent. Schiff accused Manafort of “providing that agent with internal polling data with their strategy for key battleground states, while that unit of Russian intelligence was engaged in trying to help Donald Trump win.”

Informant Linked to Biden Bribery Allegations Now ‘Missing,’ Rep. Comer Says
An informant linked to allegations that President Joe Biden was involved in a quid-pro-quo bribery scheme has gone missing, according to House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.).
When asked by Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on May 14 about those accusations, Comer said, “Unfortunately, we can’t track down the informant—we’re hopeful that the informant is still there.”
Comer made the statement while referencing an FBI informant’s report, called an FD-1023, that the FBI allegedly has in its possession, according to a whistleblower who shared the report’s existence with Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-Iowa) office.
“The whistleblower knows the informant,” Comer said. “The whistleblower is very credible, and all we’re asking the FBI with respect to the form 1023 is, ‘What did you do to investigate this allegation?’
“And they send us back a very patronizing letter basically saying, ‘Just trust us. Don’t worry about it.’”
IRS Whistleblower Removed From Hunter Biden Criminal Investigation at Request of DOJ, Attorneys Say
The IRS has removed a whistleblower and his team from a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes and business dealings at the request of the Department of Justice, according to the whistleblower’s attorneys.
“Today, the [IRS] Criminal Supervisory Special Agent we represent was informed that he and his entire investigative team are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject about which our client sought to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress,” the whistleblower’s lawyers said in a May 15 letter (pdf) addressed to multiple congressional lawmakers, first obtained by Just the News.
“He was informed the change was at the request of the Department of Justice.”
Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, has been under federal investigation for alleged tax fraud, lobbying crimes, and money laundering.
He confirmed in December 2020 that his business deals were being investigated. Few details have been revealed about the probe since then.
The Epoch Times has reached out to the Department of Justice for comment.

Supreme Court Sides With Inmate Who Wants to Be Executed With Nitrogen Gas
The Supreme Court sided on May 15 with a condemned man in Alabama who wants to be executed by nitrogen gas instead of lethal injection, refusing to set aside a stay of execution by lethal injection previously granted by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented from the Supreme Court’s new unsigned order in Hamm v. Smith, court file 22-580. The court did not explain why it declined to grant the petition filed by the state.
Alabama was prepared to execute Kenneth Eugene Smith, 57, on Nov. 17, 2022, by lethal injection. But state officials struggled to gain adequate access to his veins before the death warrant expired.
Alabama has had problems with its lethal injection procedures. Last year, the state put executions on hold while it reviewed various difficulties it experienced in multiple cases when it tried to carry out lethal injections.

Disney worker arrested on child porn charges, posted about ‘hot teens’
A longtime Disney World employee was arrested for allegedly sharing child pornography and uploading pictures of a pal’s underage daughter online — saying he wanted to “impregnate her.”
Daniel Rivera, a Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts employee of 20 years, was booked at the Orange County Jail following a months-long investigation into his Dropbox account that contained several files of children under 10 having sex with adult men.
Investigators said Rivera, a father-of-two, admitted to obtaining child porn about once a week for the last 10 years, and even shared personal information about coworkers on adult sites, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Suspects in Michigan Child Pornography Ring Allegedly Fed Victims THC-laced gummies
Victims of a child pornography ring in Michigan were allegedly fed THC-laced gummies by their suspected abusers so that they could not resist, according to Genesee County Sheriff Christopher Swanson.
Police say the four children, two of whom were ten years old, one fourteen, and one five, were sexually abused in a Burton county home by Joshua Buren Hippensteel, 45; Crystal Ann Benton, 42; and Nicholas Alan Dunn, 41, Grand Blanc View reported. Benton and Dunn were engaged and Hippensteel was living in the basement.
Sorority Sisters Claim to ‘Live in Constant Fear’ Around Transgender Member
Sorority sisters at the University of Wyoming have expressed fear about a transgender member in their group after he allegedly became physically aroused near them.
The women from the Kappa Kappa Gamma house said they “live in constant fear in our home” in a lawsuit filed against the university and transgender student Artemis Langford, who reportedly stands 6’2″ and weighs 260 pounds, according to the New York Post. Langford joined the sorority in September 2022 and, though he has not yet moved into the house, the sorority sisters say that he will often come inside for meals and attend events with the women.
The lawsuit claims that the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority’s national council president and Langford pressured the University of Wyoming chapter to violate the official bylaws of the sorority.
North Carolina Overrides Governor’s Veto of 12-Week Abortion Restriction
The North Carolina legislature overrode Gov. Roy Cooper’s (D) veto of a bill restricting abortions within the state after 12 weeks, making North Carolina the latest state to increase restrictions after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
The state House voted 72-48 to override Cooper’s veto shortly after the state Senate voted 30-20 to do the same.
Currently, abortion is restricted after 20 weeks in North Carolina. However, the Care for Women, Children, and Families Act prohibits physicians from performing abortions after the 12th week of pregnancy.
Still, the law allows for exceptions in the case of rape and incest through 20 weeks and for abortion to occur through the 24th week if there is a “life-limiting anomaly.”

Florida Governor DeSantis has signed a bill blocking public colleges from using state or federal funds on diversity programs. Critics argue it limits academic freedom and suppresses student experiences.

Second Amendment Advocates Win Major Challenge to NJ’s Strict Concealed Carry Law
A Second Amendment group won a preliminary injunction May 16 against parts of a New Jersey gun control law that restricts the ability of those with carry permits to actually carry firearms in public.
The state immediately filed an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit of the new ruling in Koons v. Platkin, court file 22-7464, which was decided in the U.S. District Court for New Jersey. Parts of the law, which was backed by New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, were already blocked by various courts.
Democratic leaders rushed through the law, known as Chapter 131, in the state legislature after the Supreme Court ruled 6–3 in June 2022 in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen that laws preventing law-abiding individuals from carrying firearms in public for self-defense cannot be upheld unless they are consistent with the nation’s historical firearm regulation traditions.
Chapter 131 made it easier to obtain a carry permit but tightly limited where a gun could be actually carried. The law designated various “sensitive places” such as beaches and schools where guns could not be carried. The law also increased minimum liability insurance requirements for those possessing carry permits. Gun rights groups sued saying that the sensitive places restrictions were even worse than a previous law’s requirement that a gun owner demonstrate a “justifiable need” to carry in public.
The new injunction puts on hold carry bans in public locations used for movie sets, zoos, and at public gatherings where gun permits are normally required. It also halts another part of the law that required references for carry applicants to be interviewed in person, which the judge said was an “unduly burdensome” requirement. Other court orders already blocked carry bans in entertainment facilities, areas where alcohol is served, and on private property where the owner has not provided permission to carry.
Business As Usual: Shutdown or Not, the Police State Will Continue to Flourish
Once again, the police state is up to its old tricks, stoking tensions over whether or not the government is forced to shut down, even partially, due to a default on the national debt.
Yet while these political games dominate news headlines, send the stock market into a nosedive, and put federal employees at risk of having to work without pay, nothing about these high-handed theatrics will diminish the immediate and very real dangers of the American Police State with its roadside strip searches, government surveillance, biometric databases, citizens being treated like terrorists, imprisonments for criticizing the government, national ID cards, SWAT team raids, censorship, forcible blood draws and DNA extractions, private prisons, weaponized drones, red light cameras, tasers, active shooter drills, police misconduct and government corruption.
Default or not, war will continue. Drone killings will continue. Surveillance will continue. Censorship and persecution of anyone who criticizes the government will continue. The government’s efforts to label dissidents as extremists and terrorists will continue.
Police shootings will continue. Highway robbery meted out by government officials will continue. Corrupt government will continue. Profit-driven prisons will continue. And the militarization of the police will continue.

IN-DEPTH: Texas Lawmakers Consider Creating Gold-Based Digital Currency for Use by Anyone Anywhere
Some lawmakers and experts say there are reasons to distrust a federal digital dollar
Texas could become the first state in the nation to issue its own digital currency based on gold and silver.
The Texas Senate could vote on Senate Bill 2334 this week. A similar bill in the Texas House, House Bill 4903, did not advance.
If the Texas digital currency proposal becomes law, money could be spent with a debit card by people anywhere in the world, not just within Texas.
The measure would create an alternative to a federal digital dollar, an idea currently being considered by the federal government because of a directive by President Joe Biden.
The Middle Class Is Being Systematically Destroyed
If you wanted to destroy the middle class, one way that you could accomplish that goal would be to flood the system with money. Of course that is precisely what we have witnessed over the past few years. Our leaders have pumped trillions of new dollars into the system, and the wealthy have gotten much, much wealthier. But meanwhile, the rest of us have seen the cost of living rise much faster than our paychecks have. As a result, we are getting poorer and the middle class is shrinking.
Over time, our capitalist economy has steadily evolved into a system where almost all of the wealth and almost all of the power are concentrated in the hands of giant institutions.
Collectively, big government and big corporations run virtually everything, and this system of “corporate socialism” funnels tremendous amount of wealth into the pockets of a very small minority of the population.
If you are in that club, life is good.
But if you are not in that club, life can be a struggle.
The gap between the rich and the poor has steadily grown, and now it is larger than it has ever been before. Even U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders acknowledges that we have a massive problem on our hands…
Today, half of our people are living paycheck to paycheck, 500,000 of the very poorest among us are homeless, millions are worried about evictions, 92 million are uninsured or underinsured, and families all across the country are worried about how they are going to feed their kids. Today, an entire generation of young people carry an outrageous level of student debt and face the reality that their standard of living will be lower than their parents’. And, most obscenely, low-income Americans now have a life expectancy that is about 15 years lower than the wealthy. Poverty in America has become a death sentence.
Meanwhile, the people on top have never had it so good. The top 1% now own more wealth than the bottom 92%, and the 50 wealthiest Americans own more wealth than the bottom half of American society – 165 million people.
Of course Sanders believes that even more socialism is the answer, but more socialism is never the answer.

Microsoft Claim: New AI Shows Signs Of Human Reasoning
When computer scientists at Microsoft started to experiment with a new artificial intelligence system last year, they asked it to solve a puzzle that should have required an intuitive understanding of the physical world.
“Here we have a book, nine eggs, a laptop, a bottle and a nail,” they asked. “Please tell me how to stack them onto each other in a stable manner.”
The researchers were startled by the ingenuity of the A.I. system’s answer. Put the eggs on the book, it said. Arrange the eggs in three rows with space between them. Make sure you don’t crack them.
“Place the laptop on top of the eggs, with the screen facing down and the keyboard facing up,” it wrote. “The laptop will fit snugly within the boundaries of the book and the eggs, and its flat and rigid surface will provide a stable platform for the next layer.”
The clever suggestion made the researchers wonder whether they were witnessing a new kind of intelligence. In March, they published a 155-page research paper arguing that the system was a step toward artificial general intelligence, or A.G.I., which is shorthand for a machine that can do anything the human brain can do. The paper was published on an internet research repository.
Microsoft, the first major tech company to release a paper making such a bold claim, stirred one of the tech world’s testiest debates: Is the industry building something akin to human intelligence? Or are some of the industry’s brightest minds letting their imaginations get the best of them?
“I started off being very skeptical — and that evolved into a sense of frustration, annoyance, maybe even fear,” Peter Lee, who leads research at Microsoft, said. “You think: Where the heck is this coming from?”
Microsoft’s research paper, provocatively called “Sparks of Artificial General Intelligence,” goes to the heart of what technologists have been working toward — and fearing — for decades. If they build a machine that works like the human brain or even better, it could change the world. But it could also be dangerous.
And it could also be nonsense. Making A.G.I. claims can be a reputation killer for computer scientists. What one researcher believes is a sign of intelligence can easily be explained away by another, and the debate often sounds more appropriate to a philosophy club than a computer lab. Last year, Google fired a researcher who claimed that a similar A.I. system was sentient, a step beyond what Microsoft has claimed. A sentient system would not just be intelligent. It would be able to sense or feel what is happening in the world around it.
But some believe the industry has in the past year or so inched toward something that can’t be explained away: A new A.I. system that is coming up with humanlike answers and ideas that weren’t programmed into it.
‘Bomb in a China Shop’: AI to Wipe Out Jobs, Create Election Uncertainties, Congress Hears
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will drive massive disruptions in the American job sector and contribute to much more fraught election cycles as new platforms allow for increased manipulation of voters, Congress has heard.
The explosion of popularly available AI tools like ChatGPT will profoundly affect society as early as next year, experts and senators said during a May 16 hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology, and the Law.
Subcommittee Chair Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) referred to the proliferation of AI as a “bomb in a China shop,” warning that the “looming new industrial revolution” could displace millions of American workers and dramatically undermine public safety and trust in key institutions.
“[These dangers] are no longer fantasies of science fiction. They are real. They are present,” Blumenthal said.
“Sensible safeguards are not in opposition to innovation.”
To that end, Blumenthal said the hearing’s purpose was to “demystify and hold accountable these new technologies” and “intended to write the rules of AI” before it was too late.

TSA Rolls Out More Facial Recognition At Major Airports
A passenger walks up to an airport security checkpoint, slips an ID card into a slot and looks into a camera atop a small screen. The screen flashes “Photo Complete” and the person walks through — all without having to hand over their identification to the TSA officer sitting behind the screen.
It’s all part of a pilot project by the Transportation Security Administration to assess the use of facial recognition technology at a number of airports across the country.
“What we are trying to do with this is aid the officers to actually determine that you are who you say who you are,” said Jason Lim, identity management capabilities manager, during a demonstration of the technology to reporters at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
The effort comes at a time when the use of various forms of technology to enhance security and streamline procedures is only increasing. TSA says the pilot is voluntary and accurate, but critics have raised concerns about questions of bias in facial recognition technology and possible repercussions for passengers who want to opt out.
The technology is currently in 16 airports. However, it’s not at every TSA checkpoint so not every traveler going through those airports would necessarily experience it.
Traffic Cameras Use AI To Spy On Drivers Inside Their Cars
UK drivers will be the first in the world to be spied on by AI, following the launch of a controversial new speed camera.
The speed camera, which has been nicknamed ‘Big Brother’s cash machine’ by motorist advocates, uses AI and ‘4D’ radar to spy on drivers inside their cars.
That means it won’t just be able to catch out speeding drivers but anyone who uses their phone or fails to wear a seatbelt while sat behind the wheel.
The Redspeed Sentio camera was first installed on the A23 in Lambeth, South London, where it was trialled on unsuspecting drivers.
The AI camera is capable of keeping an eye on up to six lanes of traffic and can ‘talk’ to other cameras on route to check for your average speed.
They can even check your car for insurance and tax.
However, the cameras have already been criticised for being a ‘step too far’.

Monkeypox Alert Issued by CDC Over New Cases in Major US City
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued an alert for monkeypox (mpox) after multiple cases popped up in Chicago, with even vaccinated individuals found to have been infected.
There is a “potential risk for new mpox cases,” the agency said in its May 15 emergency alert. “This week, CDC and local partners are investigating a cluster of mpox cases in the Chicago area. From April 17 to May 5, 2023, a total of 12 confirmed and one probable case of mpox were reported to the Chicago Department of Public Health. All cases were among symptomatic men. None of the patients have been hospitalized.” Nine out of the 13 cases were identified among men who had received two doses of Jynneos—the licensed vaccine for monkeypox.
Feds Starts Enrolling Volunteers for mRNA Flu Vaccine Trial
Vaccine developers at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) are enrolling healthy adult Americans to test an experimental universal influenza vaccine using mRNA technology.
The Phase 1 trial will be conducted at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, the NIAID said on Monday. Researchers will test the experimental vaccine, dubbed H1ssF-3928 mRNA-LNP, for safety and its ability to induce an immune response.

But first, let’s look at what foods the Bible considers clean vs. unclean. Of course, all of the healing foods land in the clean category.
What Are Clean and Unclean Foods?
When you go on the Bible diet, there are only certain kinds of food that you can eat. Certain foods are “clean” and should be eaten while others are “unclean” and should be completely avoided.
Acceptable Biblical Foods
- Trees whose edible yield is bearing seeds or is seed — To put it simply, this kind of food is mostly fruits. All fruits are acceptable in the Biblical diet, just as long as they come from seeds. Fruits from fruit trees are okay to eat, as well as anything that grows on a vine, a shrub or anything with a woody bark tissue.
- Plants whose edible yield is bearing seeds or is seeds — This classification refers to anything that may grow on plants that are not necessarily trees. Examples of seed-bearing plants include squash, tomatoes, corn and beans.
- Field plants — Field plants or “plants of the field” are the next thing on the list, which can consist of herbs, roots and green, leafy vegetables.

According to Leviticus, clean meat is defined as the meat of every animal that has the hoof cloven in two and chews the cud. Examples of unclean meat include pig, camel, hare and rock badger. The Bible also instructs us not to eat the blood of animals or to eat any meat that has been sacrificed to idols.
As for seafood, everything with fins and scales are allowed, but whatever doesn’t have fins such as shellfish is prohibited. For birds, everything is allowed except eagles, vultures, kites, ravens, ostriches, seagulls and owls. It is also noted that all winged insects are considered unclean.

Benefits of a Biblical Diet
Is it possible to lose weight by following the Bible’s teachings on food and eating? Author of The Maker’s Diet and co-founder of Ancient Nutrition, Jordan Rubin believes so!
According to him, the Bible Diet is heavily influenced based on the teachings from the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy and the only food considered acceptable or clean is the only kind that should be eaten.
The four classifications of food (trees that yield seed, plants that yield seed, field plants, clean meat) is the foundation of a Biblical diet. There are also other important things you should consider when starting or following a Biblical diet:
- Water, sunshine and exercise. These three are absolutely key to good health. You should always remember to drink lots of water, get lots of exercise and go outside. I recommend one quart water daily for every 50 pounds of weight. Also, it’s important to drink high quality water.
- Eat safe, clean meat. This means abstaining from certain kinds of meat and seafood such as pork, lobster, clams and mussels, shrimp and catfish.
- Eat foods that are in season. The Bible states that everything has a season. This should also be our attitude when it comes to picking out the things we eat. Lean towards eating fruits, vegetables and herbs that are in season, as they’re fresher and better for your health.
- Eating raw. Eating uncooked raw food is very much encouraged. Some vegetables may need to be cooked, but a majority of them can be enjoyed raw.
- Unprocessed real whole foods. What you eat should ideally be consumed in the way that it was found in nature. This means that we should stay away from preservatives, processed foods, or those produced with lots of contact with hormones, fertilizers and pesticides.
All these food restrictions may seem like a whole lot of sacrifice, but what about the rewards? According to Rubin, those who go on the Biblical diets and eat Bible foods can look forward to the following benefits:
- Weight loss: A diet high in unprocessed food, fruit and vegetables is ideal for weight loss. Natural and raw fruits and vegetables carry fewer calories and are easier to digest than other processed foods.
- A longer lifespan: Rubin claims that some of our ancestors that went on the Biblical diet went on to live for 120+ years. Although we may not reach that age, studies show that a diet high in fruits and vegetables lead to little or no health complications, thus indicating a longer lifespan.
- Energy and improved mood: When our bodies are in a state of imbalance due to poor dietary habits, we immediately feel it. We can feel sickly, sluggish and depressed. Eating right can increase energy, balance hormones and improve our mood.

George Soros Responds to Viral Rumors About His Death
George Soros, the controversial left-wing billionaire investor, responded on Monday to viral social media posts claiming that he died.
A spokesperson for Soros told Reuters and the Daily Mail that the 92-year-old was still alive after a bevy of social media posts alleged Soros died, triggering confusion.
On Twitter, Soros’ account issued a statement disputing allegations that he had a heart attack. “Rumors that I had a heart attack are completely false. I am alive and healthy,” he remarked.
One Twitter post claimed that he “died of a violent heart attack” and claimed to cite “Politics For All Ireland,” which appears to be a Twitter account. And a hoax news article that appears to be operated from Turkey claimed that “the news in the western media” said that Soros “passed away,” replete with grammatical mistakes and misspellings.
Another viral Twitter post that claimed he died hasn’t yet been taken down by Twitter. But it does include a community notes disclaimer, saying: “This is false. Claim: George Soros has died at the age of 92 Conclusion: The news is fake and Soros is still alive.”
Oklahoma legislators introduced a resolution to “reject the recent alleged attempts by Dominion Voting Machines to silence Tucker Carlson” after reports surfaced that Fox News fired Carlson as part of the network’s settlement with Dominion.
Carlson was fired from Fox News six days after the cable news company reached a $787.5 million settlement with Dominion.
