Six Stabbed by ‘ISIS-Inspired’ Migrant Terrorist in New Zealand

Breitbart – Six people have been stabbed by a Sri Lankan terrorist in Auckland, New Zealand, who was a “known threat to New Zealand”.

The terrorist, shot dead by police shortly after the attack began, was a “Sri Lankan national” and “obviously was a supporter of ISIS ideology” — that is to say, the interpretation of Islam favour by the Islamic State organisation — according to New Zealand’s prime minister, Jacinda Ardern.

Fauci defends COVID boosters, says 3 shots will ‘likely’ be the new norm

Yahoo – Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top medical adviser to President Biden, defended the administration’s decision to recommend coronavirus vaccine booster shots and said that three doses of an mRNA vaccine, not two, would be the new standard of full vaccination.

“I would not at all be surprised that the adequate, full regimen for vaccination will likely be three doses,” Fauci said during a Thursday briefing of the White House coronavirus response team, though he noted that regulators would have to ultimately make that determination.

UK rules out Covid vaccinations for children

Guardian – The UK government’s vaccines watchdog has decided there is not enough evidence to recommend the rollout of Covid vaccines to all 12- to 15-year-olds, but has held open the possibility of ministers seeking other advice to go ahead nonetheless.

Did The Supreme Court Just End Roe v. Wade?

Investment Watch Blog – A lot of people are saying that Roe v. Wade is “finished” now that the Supreme Court has refused to block a new Texas abortion law from going into effect.  This new law bans abortions once the heartbeat of the baby can be detected, and that usually happens somewhere around six weeks into a pregnancy.  Courts have struck down similar heartbeat laws in other states, and so Texas did something to try to get around that.  Under this new Texas law, state officials will not actually be enforcing the restrictions.  Instead, private citizens have been granted the right to bring civil lawsuits against those that provide illegal abortions.

Facebook is concerned about people being “too prepared”

Investment Watch Blog – What does Facebook know that we don’t? What does it mean to be “too prepared ” and how does that relate in any shape or form to extremism? Something strange is happening here

Apple DELAYS controversial plan to scan iPhones for child abuse images following privacy backlash

RT – Apple has announced it will take “take additional time” in the coming months to work on plans for flagging child sexual abuse material (CSAM), amid concerns from activists and rights groups over censorship and privacy issues.

“Based on feedback from customers, advocacy groups, researchers and others, we have decided to take additional time over the coming months to collect input and make improvements before releasing these critically important child safety features,” an Apple spokesperson said in a statement on Friday.

The rise of black conservatives terrifies the left

The election to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom is now less than two weeks away. According to California law, Newsom will be removed from office if more than 50% of those casting ballots vote in favor of recall. The ballot also asks who should replace the governor if he is recalled. However, Newsom’s replacement would be whichever person named on the ballot receives the most votes. There is no requirement that he or she must receive more than 50% of the votes, or indeed any specific percentage at all.

Ex-California Democrat leader Gloria Romero endorses Larry Elder for governor

Fox – Gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder intends to replace California Gov. Gavin Newsom in the state’s upcoming recall election and former California Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero is strongly endorsing him for the job.

Romero told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Thursday that Elder is the “best option” to replace Newsom in order to eradicate the governor’s hypocritical and pompous behavior.

“I was just tired of the false narrative that was put forward that this was a right-wing conspiracy,” she said. “There are 1.7 million Californians that signed that recall petition – I was one of them.”

ACLU Says The State Forcing People To Take Vaccines Is A Victory For Civil Liberties

The ACLU has published an article in The New York Times followed up by a tweet which asserts that the government forcing people to take vaccines is a victory for civil liberties.

No, this isn’t out of the Babylon Bee.

“Far from compromising them, vaccine mandates actually further civil liberties,” the organization’s tweet ludicrously claimed. “They protect the most vulnerable, people with disabilities and fragile immune systems, children too young to be vaccinated, and communities of color hit hard by the disease.”

The August jobs numbers have economists worried. Here’s why

America’s jobs recovery hit a major roadblock in August as the Delta variant threatened the labor market recovery, and the US economy added far fewer jobs than expected.

Only 235,000 jobs were added back to the economy last month, the lowest number since January, vastly missing economists’ expectations.

“Delta is reducing consumer demand and threatening the reopening,” said Glassdoor Senior Economist Daniel Zhao. “Ultimately it’s just a harsh reminder that the pandemic has control of our destiny,” he told CNN Business.

In normal times the August report would have been a reason to celebrate, but nowadays it’s a sharp slowdown from the buoyant jobs reports earlier in the summer. Friday’s report fell far short of economists’ already reduced expectations: Predictions for Friday’s jobs report had been revised down to 728,000 from 750,000 earlier after Wednesday’s ADP Employment Report, which count private payrolls, also disappointed.

Biden administration taps emergency oil stockpile as Louisiana pumps run dry

CNN – The Biden administration is releasing 1.5 million barrels of crude oil from America’s emergency stockpile of oil as Louisiana’s gas crisis worsens.

The decision to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, or SPR, comes as two-thirds of the gas stations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge are out of gasoline in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

This will “alleviate any logistical issues of moving crude oil within areas affected by Hurricane Ida to ensure the region has access to fuel as quickly as possible,” the Energy Department said in a statement.

GM shutting down production at most of its plants in North America

CNN – General Motors will shut production at most of its North American plants for a week or two starting next week as the worsening chip shortage takes another bite out of its plans.
