Technocracy’s Agenda Is Evil And Must Be Rejected

In recent weeks I’ve been seeing an interesting narrative fallacy being sold to the general public when it comes to the designs of globalists. The mainstream media and others are now openly suggesting that it’s actually okay to be opposed to certain aspects of groups like the World Economic Forum. They give you permission to be concerned, just don’t dare call it conspiracy.

This propaganda is a deviation from the abject denials we’re accustomed to hearing in the Liberty Movement for the past decade or more. We have all been confronted with the usual cognitive dissonance – The claims that globalist groups “just sit around talking about boring economic issues” and nothing they do has any bearing on global politics or your everyday life. In some cases we were even told that these groups of elites “don’t exist”.

Now, the media is admitting that yes, perhaps the globalists do have more than just a little influence over governments, social policies and economic outcomes. But, what the mainstream doesn’t like is the assertion that globalists have nefarious or authoritarian intentions. That’s just crazy tinfoil hat talk, right?

The reason for the narrative shift is obvious. Far too many people witnessed the true globalist agenda in action during the pandemic lockdowns and now they see the conspiracy for what it is. The globalists, in turn, seem to have been shocked to discover many millions of people in opposition to the mandates and the refusals to comply were clearly far greater than they expected. They are still trying to push their brand of covid fear, but the cat is out of the bag now.

They failed to get what they wanted in the west, which was a perpetual Chinese-style medical tyranny with vaccine passports as the norm. So, the globalist strategy has changed and they are seeking to adapt. They admit to a certain level of influence, but they pretend as if they are benevolent or indifferent.

The response to this lie is relatively straightforward. I could point out how Klaus Schwab of the WEF savored the thrill of the initial pandemic outbreak and declared that covid was the perfect “opportunity” to initiate what the WEF calls the “Great Reset.”

I could also point out that Klaus Schwab’s vision of the Reset, what he calls the “4th Industrial Revolution”, is a veritable nightmare world in which Artificial Intelligence runs everything, society is condensed into digital enclaves called “smart cities” and people are oppressed by carbon taxation. I could point out that the WEF actively supports the concept of the “Shared Economy” in which you will “own nothing, have no privacy” and you will supposedly be happy about it, but only because you won’t have any other choice.

Why Has COVID Spared Africa?

There are clear contradictions between the World Health Organization’s directives regarding the need for COVID shots in Africa and the actual situation on the ground

The WHO is still calling on all countries to get the COVID jab into at least 70% of their populations, and warns that developing countries are at grave risk due to low jab rates. Meanwhile, Africa, where less than 6% of the population is jabbed, has fared far better than countries with high injection rates. A large-scale survey in Uganda also shows COVID is no longer a clinical issue

Variants have also gotten milder (less pathogenic) with each iteration, yet the WHO warns that new variants may create “large waves of serious disease and death in populations with low vaccination coverage”

The explanation for the disconnect between the WHO’s priorities and what’s happening in Africa can be explained when you look at the focus of the WHO’s Catastrophic Contagion exercise. It focused on getting African leadership trained in following the pandemic script. The WHO needs additional pandemics in order to justify its pandemic treaty, which will give it sole power to dictate countermeasures, and it needs to eliminate the African control group, which shows the COVID “vaccines” do more harm than good

The WHO also has every intention of implementing climate lockdowns once it has the power to do so. To that aim, the WHO’s director of Environment and Health has suggested combining health and climate issues into one

Philippines: Supreme Court Declares China Oil Exploration Deal Unconstitutional

The Supreme Court of the Philippines invalidated a 2005 agreement on Tuesday between the Philippines, Vietnam, and China that would have allowed a Chinese government corporation to explore for oil in Filipino waters, unconstitutionally exploiting the country’s national resources.

The 2005 deal, known formally as the Tripartite Agreement for Joint Marine Seismic Undertaking (JMSU) was signed under China-friendly President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and allowed China, and Vietnam, into Philippine waters to seek crude oil – thus, the court concluded, offering illegal access to foreign countries to reserves that belong to the Filipino people. The area to be jointly explored would have been in disputed waters of the South China Sea belonging to the Philippines that China has spent much of the past decade invading and attempting to colonize.

UK and Japan Sign Major Defence Deal Amid Rising Concern About Communist China

The leaders of Britain and Japan signed a defense agreement Wednesday that could see troops deployed to each others countries.

The two countries are strengthening military ties amid growing concern about China’s increasing military assertiveness and designs toward Taiwan, which it considers a renegade province.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida formally signed the agreement in the symbolic setting of the Tower of London fortress. The British government said the it “cements our commitment to the Indo-Pacific” region.

U.S. NEWS, POLITICS & GOVERNMENT

Biden Administration Extends COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) confirmed on Jan. 11 that it has extended the federal COVID-19 state of emergency.

HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra issued a declaration, saying that “after consultation with public health officials as necessary,” the administration decided to renew the emergency declaration that was first issued in early 2020 during the Trump administration. Including the latest declaration, the federal emergency has been renewed about a dozen times since then.

“The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency remains in effect, and as HHS committed to earlier, we will provide a 60-day notice to states before any possible termination or expiration,” a spokesperson for HHS told media outlets on Jan. 11.

The emergency declaration has had a significant impact on the U.S. health care system since it was enacted, providing health insurance coverage protection for millions along with giving hospitals more resources and more telehealth services. However, top officials—including President Joe Biden himself—have signaled that they believe the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

But on Jan. 11, the Biden administration didn’t give an indication as to when the emergency might end.

The White House will likely face pressure from House Republicans to end the emergency as GOP lawmakers have signaled they want to investigate the Biden administration over its COVID-19 response. The origins of the virus, which emerged in China in late 2019, also will be probed, Republican lawmakers have signaled.

Operations ‘Resuming Gradually’ After All Flights Grounded Across US: Federal Agency

Operations in the United States are starting to resume after all flights across the country were grounded, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said on Jan. 11.

“Normal air traffic operations are resuming gradually across the U.S. following an overnight outage to the Notice to Air Missions system that provides safety info to flight crews,” the FAA said in a statement at 8:50 a.m. ET.

The failure of a key pilot notification system operated by the agency late Tuesday prompted the agency to order all airlines to ground planes in the United States.

The agency’s Notice To Air Missions (NOTAM) system, which is critical for relaying essential information to flights, failed for the first time in history.

FAA officials said early Wednesday they were making progress in restoring the system.

“FAA has determined that the safety system affected by the overnight outage is fully restored,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg added later, in a statement at 8:54 a.m. ET.

House Panel Launches Investigation Into Biden’s Classified Document Stash

The House Oversight Committee is opening an investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified records from his time as vice president, following the discovery of sensitive materials in an insecure closet at a think tank.

Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a Jan. 10 statement on social media that he’s launching the probe; he has demanded that the White House and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) provide documents and information related to their handling of the Biden records—including the classified documents themselves.

“The Committee is concerned that President Biden has compromised sources and methods with his own mishandling of classified documents,” Comer wrote in a letter to White House counsel Stuart Delery (pdf), while pointing out that Biden has previously called the mishandling of presidential records “totally irresponsible.”

A “small number” of classified documents were found on Nov. 2, 2022, in a locked closet at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington as Biden’s lawyers were clearing out the offices, according to a statement on Jan. 9 by Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president.

Sauber said the documents were in a “locked closet” at the think tank Biden used after he served as vice president and that the records were turned over to NARA a day after they were found.

IRS Announces It Sent Out 12 Million Tax Refunds After Making Corrections

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced it sent out 12 million refunds totaling nearly $15 billion after making corrections to taxes that were filed in 2020.

The agency said it reviewed forms 1040 and 1040-SR from the 2020 tax year that were filed before March 2021, or when the American Rescue Plan was signed into law. It excluded up to $10,200 in 2020 unemployment compensation, the IRS said, from taxable income calculations.

“The exclusion applied to individuals and married couples whose modified adjusted gross income was less than $150,000,” said an IRS news release issued last week. “To ease the burden on taxpayers, the IRS took steps to review the Forms 1040 and 1040-SR that were filed prior to the law’s enactment to identify taxpayers who had already reported unemployment compensation as income and were eligible for the correction. The IRS determined the correct taxable amount of unemployment compensation and tax.”

Biden’s DHS Reaffirms: ‘No Records’ on 377K Border Crossers Freed into U.S.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reaffirming that it has “no records” on more than 377,000 border crossers released into the United States.

In September 2022, the Transactional Research Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with DHS officials to secure information about the more than 377,000 border crossers currently enrolled in the ATD program by the Biden administration.

Joe Wilson Proposes to Display Bust of Volodymyr Zelensky in Capitol Building

Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) sponsored legislation to display a bust of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Capitol Building.

Wilson sponsored H. Res. 10, which would direct:

… the Fine Arts Board to obtain a bust of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for display in the House of Representatives wing of the United States Capitol.

Resolved, That the House of Representatives directs the Fine Arts Board to obtain a bust of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for display in a suitable, permanent location in the House of Representatives wing of the United States Capitol.

The bill has been referred to the committee on House Administration.

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs Proposes $40M in Taxpayer Money for Illegal Aliens to Attend State Universities

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) is proposing a state-funded scholarship program, with $40 million in taxpayer money, to help illegal aliens attend state universities and colleges.

In her inaugural address, Hobbs vowed to expand the Arizona Promise Scholarship Program — which helps low-income students pay tuition and fees to attend universities — while creating the “Promise for DREAMers Scholarship Program” that will “cover all students, regardless of immigration status, who attend a public university.”

Biden builds taxpayer-funded wall around Delaware beach house despite opposing border barriers

President Biden’s taxpayer-funded wall for his Delaware vacation home is getting built while he continues to voice his staunch opposition to building a wall at the southern U.S. border.

Photos obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail show that construction on the wall around Biden’s Rehoboth Beach home began last week. The wall is expected to cost taxpayers $490,324 because it is being funded through a government contract via the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The photos show the ongoing construction of tall white fencing and gray stone pillars on the side of Biden’s home, with a half-wall of gray stone and a large black iron gate at the front of the property.

Plans for the wall began in 2021 when DHS awarded a contract for more security at the home. However, the nearly $500,000 cost of the wall is a $34,000 increase in cost to the taxpayer over the original Turnstone Holdings LCC contract price, Fox News Digital reported in August.

BlackRock, World’s Largest Asset Manager And Woke Investor, Set For Major Layoffs: REPORT

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager and possibly the most high-profile of the so-called environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) investment strategy, is planning to cut roughly 500 of its approximately 20,000 employees Wednesday, Bloomberg reported, citing an internal memo.

The cuts are the company’s first since 2019 as asset managers around the world struggled with plummeting markets in 2022, although the company remains roughly 5% larger than it was the start of 2022, according to Bloomberg. The firm has been the target of significant criticism over its ESG policies, primarily by Republican state officials who argue that BlackRock’s focus on ESG violates its fiduciary responsibility to its clients as the firm has moved away from certain oil and gas investments.

In ESG Debate, Some See Threat to Livelihood, Traditional Values

Environmental, social, and governance goals on energy, race, and more reinforce Biden admin priorities–but movement may be losing ground

Charlie Masters, Kentucky farmer, has watched the prices rise.

Diesel fuel and nitrogen fertilizer, two of the most critical ingredients for running his Fleming County beef and produce operation, are still costlier than just two years ago. That’s partly due to recent fluctuations in the prices of oil and natural gas.

What’s behind those trends?

“I’m sure there are other market forces at work–we can all blame Putin or somebody–but I put a lot of the blame on ESG,” Masters told The Epoch Times in a Dec. 8 interview.

FTX Recovered $5 Billion Worth of ‘Liquid’ Assets, Attorneys Say

Crypto exchange FTX has more than $5 billion in cash and liquid cryptocurrencies and securities, an attorney for the beleaguered company confirmed on Wednesday.

The Sam Bankman-Fried-founded company filed for bankruptcy in November and U.S. prosecutors have accused Bankman-Fried of orchestrating fraudulent activity that may have cost investors, customers, and lenders billions of dollars. Attorneys and advisers overseeing the bankrupt company are now trying to recover funds to repay creditors.

“We have located over $5 billion of cash, liquid cryptocurrency, and liquid investment securities measured at petition date value. Our holdings are so large relative to the total supply that our positions cannot be sold without substantially affecting the market for the token,” Andy Dietderich, an attorney for FTX, told a Delaware judge.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

Scientist: Net Zero Will Lead To The End Of Modern Civilization

A damning indictment of the Net Zero political project has been made by one of the world’s leading nuclear physicists.

In a recently published science paper, Dr. Wallace Manheimer said it would be the end of modern civilisation. Writing about wind and solar power he argued it would be especially tragic “when not only will this new infrastructure fail, but will cost trillions, trash large portions of the environment, and be entirely unnecessary”. The stakes, he added, “are enormous”.

Dr. Manheimer holds a physics PhD from MIT and has had a 50-year career in nuclear research, including work at the Plasma Physics Division at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. He has published over 150 science papers. In his view, there is “certainly no scientific basis” for expecting a climate crisis from too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in the next century or so. He argues that there is no reason why civilisation cannot advance using both fossil fuel power and nuclear power, gradually shifting to more nuclear power.

There is of course a growing body of opinion that points out that the Emperor has no clothes when it comes to all the fashionable green technologies. Electric cars, wind and solar power, hydrogen, battery storage, heat pumps – all have massive disadvantages, and are incapable of replacing existing systems without devastating consequences.

Manheimer points out that before fossil fuel became widely used, energy was provided by people and animals. Because so little energy was produced, “civilisation was a thin veneer atop a vast mountain of human squalor and misery, a veneer maintained by such institutions as slavery, colonialism and tyranny”.

This argument hints at why so many rich, virtue-signalling celebrities argue not just for Net Zero but ‘Real’ Zero, with the banning of all fossil fuel use. King Charles said in 2009 that the age of consumerism and convenience was over, although the multi-mansion owning monarch presumably doesn’t think such desperate restrictions apply to himself. Manheimer notes that fossil fuel has extended the benefits of civilisation to billions, but its job is not yet complete. “To spread the benefits of modern civilisation to the entire human family would require much more energy, as well as newer sources,” he adds.

The author notes that the emphasis on a false climate crisis is becoming a “tragedy for modern civilisation”, which depends on reliable, affordable and environmentally viable energy. “The windmills, solar panels and backup batteries have none of these qualities,” he states. This falsehood has been pushed by what has been termed a climate industrial complex, comprising some scientists, most media, industrialists and legislators. Furthermore, he continues, this grouping has “somehow” managed to convince many that CO2 in the atmosphere, a gas necessary for life on Earth, one which we exhale with every breath, is an environmental poison.

SURVEILLANCE STATE

1 Rule the House Just Adopted Will Expose FBI, DOJ Attacks on American Citizens

Commentary

The establishment media viewed the 15 votes required to elect Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House as evidence of a dysfunctional Republican Party. The talking heads repeatedly misrepresented that heroic battle as a personality conflict, or a fight for certain members to be appointed to certain committees.

However, it was that very resistance offered by members of the House Freedom Caucus that led to the adoption of a vitally important House rule that could give us one more opportunity to restore much of our constitutional republic.

That one rule alone, which Speaker McCarthy now supports, could lead to the exposure of the long train of abuses that have been visited on Americans by a politicized FBI, Justice Department and the larger security state.

The new House rules, adopted yesterday, provide for consideration of “a resolution establishing a Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government as a select investigative subcommittee of the Committee on the Judiciary.” Let’s call it the Weaponization Subcommittee.

For the past six months, the organization I have the privilege to head, America’s Future, has been conducting an examination of how two components of the federal government have been weaponized against the American people. The results have been published in a series of 18 reports called “Unequal Justice Under Law,” which have focused on the FBI and the DOJ.

Those reports provide important context as to exactly what needs to be exposed and reformed. In fact, the most recent of these reports, issued Jan. 6, 2023, called for the creation of a new “Church Committee,” which is very much like what we hope the Weaponization Subcommittee will be. A review of history from nearly a half-century ago is instructive.

Another Reason to Add Quercetin to Your Daily Supplements

Researchers recommend administering quercetin with vitamin C, because vitamin C helps recycle oxidized quercetin, thereby producing a synergistic effect and enhancing quercetin’s antiviral capability

Quercetin promotes SIRT2, thereby inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome assembly involved with COVID-19 infection. It also transports zinc across cellular membranes

Quercetin binds to the spike protein of SARS-CoV (the virus responsible for SARS), thereby inhibiting its ability to infect host cells. It has also been identified as one of several molecules most likely to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein from interacting with human cells

Quercetin also inhibits platelet aggregation, and many COVID-19 patients suffer abnormal blood clotting

Turkish researchers are currently conducting a nonrandomized trial on quercetin. COVID-19 patients are receiving 1,000 mg of quercetin per day as an active treatment, while front-line health care workers are receiving 500-mg doses as a prophylaxis

Studies Show the Top Health Benefits of Milk Thistle

Milk thistle seeds contain silymarin, a chemical compound with medicinal benefits, including protecting liver health; studies suggest it helps boost the production of glutathione in the liver

Silymarin is also known to lower blood sugar, increase breast milk production, protect skin from UVB radiation and reduce clinical signs of acne vulgaris

Identified actions of silymarin appear protumor, but the compound demonstrates antineoplastic properties and researchers suggest it is chemoprotective, contributing to counteracting chemoresistance and increasing chemosensitivity

Animal models demonstrate that the active compound in milk thistle can also lower amyloid plaque aggregates commonly found in Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia; it may also lower estrogen-deficiency bone loss common in menopause

Milk thistle is an invasive weed that may be banned from growing in your area. A single flower can produce nearly 200 seeds that germinate in temperatures ranging from 32 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. You can often buy the plant and seeds at a health food store, and there are several ways to use them at home

Biden Administration Responds After Federal Agency Suggests Gas Stove Ban

The White House on Jan. 11 said President Joe Biden doesn’t support a ban on natural gas stoves, after a consumer safety official suggested a ban is on the table for a meeting later this year.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety (CPSC) Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. told Bloomberg News earlier this week that natural gas stoves, used by millions of Americans every day, are a “hidden hazard” and said that “any option is on the table.”

“Products that can’t be made safe can be banned,” he said, adding that federal agencies could set “standards on emissions from the appliances.” He and Bloomberg cited a December 2022 study published by the think tank, Rocky Mountain Institute, in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, that claimed: “12.7 percent of current childhood asthma in the U.S. is attributable to gas stove use.”

Some medical experts questioned the study’s conclusions after Trumka’s remarks. Dr. Ran Goldman, a pediatrics professor at the University of British Columbia, said the study was merely “a calculation of what could be causing asthma in children.”

“This is not a true representation of what is happening and there is a huge uncertainty around how many children with asthma are truly because of those emissions. Asthma is a multifactorial disease,” he told GlobalNews. “It’s a disease we’re still studying because it’s so complex.”

GARDENING, FARMING & HOMESTEADING

8 Steps for Making Better Garden Soil

Use these organic and natural methods to make healthy garden soil from common dirt

Starting to build a new garden isn’t difficult. Most people begin by going out into their yards with a shovel or garden tiller, digging up the dirt and putting in a few plants. Following the organic and natural methods, add a little mulch or compost, and you’re well on your way to make good soil ph for your homegrown vegetables. But in the long run, the success of your garden depends on making healthy garden soil. The more you can do to keep your soil healthy, the more productive your garden will be and the higher the quality of your crops.

  1. Add manures for nitrogen. All livestock manures can be valuable additions to soil — their nutrients are readily available to soil organisms and plants. In fact, manures make a greater contribution to soil aggregation than composts, which have already mostly decomposed.
  2. Try composting. Composting is a means of recycling almost any organic wastes. It reduces the bulk of organic materials, stabilizes their more volatile and soluble nutrients, and speeds up the formation of soil humus.
  3. Tap chicken power to mix organic materials into the soil. Typically, I use electric net fencing to manage my chickens, rotating them from place to place on pasture. When needed, however, I “park” them on one of my garden spaces. I dump whatever organic materials I have handy in piles, and the chickens happily do what they love best — scratch ceaselessly through that material, looking for interesting things to eat. In the process, they shred it and incorporate it into the top couple inches of soil, the zone of most intense biological activity. Their droppings are scratched in as well, and they give a big boost to the soil microbes.

4.”Mine” soil nutrients with deep rooted plants. As I explained in the previous article, when you first start gardening, it may be necessary to use rock powders, and other slow-release sources of minerals, to correct mineral deficiencies in the soil. In the long run, however, you can supply minerals without purchasing inputs. The organic materials we add to our soil supply most of the minerals healthy crops need. In addition, we plant “fertility patches” to grow a lot of our own mineral supplements.

  1. Plant cover crops. Growing cover crops is perhaps the most valuable strategy we can adopt to feed our soil, build up its fertility and improve its structure with each passing season. Freshly killed cover crops provide readily available nutrients for our soil microbe friends and hence for food crop plants. Plus, the channels opened up by the decaying roots of cover crops permit oxygen and water to penetrate the soil.

Legumes (clovers, alfalfa, beans and peas) are especially valuable cover crops, because they fix nitrogen from the atmosphere into forms available to crop plants. Mixes of different cover crops are often beneficial. For example, in mixes of grasses and clovers, the grasses add a large amount of biomass and improve soil structure because of the size and complexity of their root systems, and the legumes add nitrogen to help break down the relatively carbon-rich grass roots quickly.

Fine Alternatives to Tillage

In last issue’s article, “Build Better Garden Soil,” I discussed ways excessive tillage is detrimental to soil life and contributes to greenhouse gases. Proper soil care reduces the need for tillage. Nurturing soil life by constantly introducing organic matter helps keep a loose and open soil structure. Protect that improved structure by keeping the soil covered at all times. Repeat after me: “No bare soil!”

  1. Cover the soil with mulch. An obvious way to keep the soil covered is to use organic mulches. Some people advise against using high-carbon materials such as straw or leaves, since soil microbes “rob” available nitrogen from the soil in order to break down the excess amounts of carbon. This is only true, however, if we incorporate these high-carbon sources into the soil. I once tilled in some coarse compost containing large amounts of oak leaves not yet fully decomposed, and found that crops grew quite poorly there the entire season.
  2. Use permanent beds and paths. A key strategy for protecting soil structure is to grow in wide permanent beds and restrict foot traffic to the pathways — thus avoiding compaction in the growing areas — and to plant as closely as possible in the beds. Close planting shades the soil surface, which benefits both soil life and plants by conserving moisture and moderating temperature extremes.
  3. Try low-tech tillage. There are almost always better alternatives to tillage, especially power tillage, which inverts and mixes the different layers in the soil profile, disrupts the soil food web and breaks down the “crumb” structure we have worked so hard to achieve. Even in the case of cover crops, which must give way to the planting of a harvest crop, it is not necessary to turn them into the soil, as usually recommended. Instead, consider these alternatives.

How to Make Biochar to Improve Soil

By making biochar from brush and other hard to compost organic material, you can improve soil — it enhances nutrient availability and also enables soil to retain nutrients longer.

What’s biochar? Basically, it’s organic matter that is burned slowly, with a restricted flow of oxygen, and then the fire is stopped when the material reaches the charcoal stage. Unlike tiny tidbits of ash, coarse lumps of charcoal are full of crevices and holes, which help them serve as life rafts to soil microorganisms. The carbon compounds in charcoal form loose chemical bonds with soluble plant nutrients so they are not as readily washed away by rain and irrigation. Biochar alone added to poor soil has little benefit to plants, but when used in combination with compost and organic fertilizers, it can dramatically improve plant growth while helping retain nutrients in the soil.

Massachusetts Transit Agency Offers to Rehire 8 Former Employees Fired for Being Unvaccinated

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is offering jobs back to eight former employees that it fired for refusing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The former MBTA employees were fired after Republican Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker issued Executive Order No. 595 in August of 2021. The order required all state-level executive branch employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including MBTA employees.

MBTA recently rescinded its vaccine and mask requirements for employees, while last week, the Boston Herald reported the agency would rehire eight former employees who lost their jobs for refusing the prior vaccination policy. The offer to rehire the unvaccinated former MBTA employees does not include back pay at this time.

“As a result of the vaccine policy being rescinded, (eight) previously non-compliant employees will be offered an opportunity to return to work, if vacancies exist, through a negotiated settlement agreement with their respective union,” MBTA spokesperson Lisa Battiston told the Boston Herald.

These former MBTA employees all worked as bus drivers for the state agency and were all members of the MBTA’s largest union, the Boston Carmen’s Local 589.

How to Grieve the Loss of a Pet and When to Get a New One

The loss of a pet can be a painful experience. For some people, it’s like losing a member of the family. While not everyone will understand why this loss hurts so much, there’s no reason to be ashamed of the grief you’re feeling.

Loss is a personal experience and we all respond to it differently. When your pet dies, you may find it hard to move on because of how attached you were to each other. Or, it could be the circumstances surrounding your pet’s death, their age, and personality. Your emotional pain is a reflection of how important your pet was to you.

‘I Lived in Hell for the Past 10 Years’: Navy SEAL Veteran Detransitions After Decade Living as a Woman

Navy SEAL combat veteran Chris Beck, 56, made headlines in 2013 when he announced—after serving 20 years in the military—that he was a woman in a man’s body. He had hormone therapy and expensive gender reassignment surgery and went by “Kristin” for years before having a major realization: he’d been had.

Beck now claims that a VA psychologist, in a one-hour therapy session, convinced him he was transgender by luring him into a lucrative book deal. He says his past identity is still being used for indoctrination and warns children and parents of “trans-washing”—the promotion of “trans identities” on still-impressionable minds, coercing kids into making permanent, life-changing decisions against their best interests.

“I was naïve, I was in a really bad way, I was taken advantage of,” Beck told Robby Starbuck in an interview in early December. “I got used, badly, by a lot of people who had knowledge way beyond me. They knew what they were doing. I didn’t.”

‘I Destroyed Everything’

Two months prior to that interview, Beck announced to the world that he was “detransitioning” after living ten years as a woman. He posted on Facebook:

I will sound crazy to most of you. That’s ok. The path was clearly shown to me BECAUSE I have lived in hell for the past 10 years. As I read the Bible and other ancient texts I am continually aligned. I have no fear, no ego, no agenda, and only one wish: those with ears must listen, those with eyes must see, those with a voice must speak. I have a voice. I must speak and bear witness to what I saw.

Beck was doing alright before coming out as trans: earning $200,000 a year, having friends, a job, and a life he loved. “I look back and I see how I destroyed everything in my life that was holy, the temple of God, our bodies, what we have here,” he said. “I wish I’d had someone that would have helped me.”
