  1. (A)Washington DC area ‘explosion’ sound caused by military jets pursuing unresponsive plane before deadly crash

No survivors were found at the plane’s crash site near Montebello, Virginia, state police said

A loud noise similar to an explosion heard in the Washington, D.C., metroplex area was the sonic boom of military aircraft scrambling to catch up to a Cessna aircraft with an unresponsive pilot before it crashed, killing all four people onboard.

The city of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management reported that the boom heard on Sunday was in fact caused by an authorized Department of Defense (DOD) flight. The noise was heard in areas as far east as the Eastern Shore of Maryland and as far west as Manassas, Virginia.

(B) Explosion levels half of apartment building in Washington DC suburb

Several residents remain ‘unaccounted for’ as the search for survivors, or remains, begins

Hope began to fade as several people remained “unaccounted for” after a massive explosion levelled an apartment building and injured at least 10 residents in suburb of Washington DC.

Montgomery Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Goldstein said at a late afternoon press conference that the recovery would be a “multi-day event” until everyone who lived in the building was accounted for.

Search dogs had “possible indications of alerts” that could be either bodies or survivors, but heavy machinery would be needed to remove unstable rubble before the search could continue.

(C) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGGwAsv0AUA  Reports say 4 people were killed aboard the Cessna Citation business jet, which crashed in the mountains near Montebello, Virginia. Authorities say the pilot passed out at the controls, probably from hypoxia.  It’s likely the passengers suffered the same fate.

  1. FBI Director Agrees to Show Document Alleging Biden Bribery Scheme to House Oversight Leaders

FBI Director Christopher Wray has agreed to bring a subpoenaed document from the investigation into the Biden family to Capitol Hill for legislators to examine.

A spokesperson for House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) confirmed to The Epoch Times on June 2 that the lawmaker would be allowed to review the documents on June 5.

The panel’s top Democrat member, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), also will be able to review the document, CNN reported.

  1. ‘Kink Ed:’ California High School Teacher Placed on Leave After Explicit Lesson on Pleasing the ‘Booty Hole’

A teacher at El Dorado High School in Placentia, California, was caught on video instructing her students on how to have pleasure during anal sex, as well as where to find sex toys that will stimulate the prostate gland. According to a district spokesperson, “the individual involved has been placed on administrative leave pending a thorough investigation.”

“You don’t have to go inside the booty hole, you can actually just push on the seam, and that stimulates the prostate gland, as well. And they apparently really like that,” the educator can be heard saying to her students in a video.

  1. Kari Lake Announces Appeal in Election Lawsuit, Says They ‘Now Have the Video’

Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake’s lawyers filed a notice of appeal in her election lawsuit against Maricopa County and now-Gov. Katie Hobbs in a bid to challenge the results of the 2022 election.

Lake told conservative TV network Real America’s Voice this week: “Our attorneys just filed a notice for appeal.” She added that members of her team “now have the video” to support claims of alleged misconduct in Maricopa County.

“And that was not available to us because Maricopa County, the people who committed the crime against the people, held that information from us. Now we have the information, and that changes everything. And so we are filing a notice to appeal, and you’ll see more filings in the coming days,” the Republican candidate said, also confirming that “my attorneys just filed, in the past few minutes, hour or so, they just filed a notice of appeal to the Arizona appellate court.”

WORLD NEWS

Why Countries Must Leave the World Health Organization

Countries that treasure individual freedom and respect bodily autonomy have only one choice: Exit the World Health Organization

One Health is the culmination of a grand global plan that places human health, animal health, environmental concerns, food, travel, housing and everything else under a single umbrella, and the WHO is being set up as the central decision-maker and overseer of it all

One Health is based on the premise that a broad range of aspects of life and the environment can impact health and therefore fall under the “potential” to cause harm. The One Health agenda includes medicine, food and agriculture, communications, economics, civil society, global trade and commerce, research, noncommunicable disease, mental health, land use, disease surveillance and much more

Behind the scenes, One Health partnerships have already been formed in countries around the world. The One Health network was built and expanded in the U.S. primarily by cutting public health funding. One Health then stepped in with funding but, of course, recipients of One Health grants had to embrace the concept and push it out to others

One Health is also baked into the proposed amendments to the 2005 International Health Regulations (IHR), which the World Health Assembly (WHA) is scheduled to vote on in May 2024. This is how the WHO will gain the authority to dictate how we live our lives

As Russia Targets Food And Water, Is The Holodomor About To Repeat In Ukraine?

Russian occupying forces in Ukraine have employed starvation tactics on civilians by targeting food lines, agricultural harvests and water infrastructure, according to a team of international lawyers helping Kyiv investigate alleged war crimes.

The investigators focused their efforts on the city of Chernihiv, which was under siege for a little over two months before Russian troops were expelled from the northern Ukrainian city.

Catriona Murdoch, a lawyer and expert in starvation-related crimes, described Chernihiv as the “tip of the iceberg in [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s calculated plan to terrorize, subjugate and kill Ukrainian people.”

The new investigation, which took six months to assemble and was released Thursday, details a number of different starvation tactics employed by Russian forces, including strikes in concentrated areas where civilians gathered to receive humanitarian aid and food supplies.

“I think our conclusion at this point is that we believe that this would certainly constitute a violation of international humanitarian law,” Murdoch, partner and head of starvation portfolio at international human rights law firm, Global Rights Compliance, told CNBC.

“The more information we have gathered and analyzed, the more we can say with confidence,” added Murdoch, who leads a Mobile Justice Team, a group of international lawyers and investigators supporting the office of Ukraine’s prosecutor general in starvation crimes.

Mobile Justice Teams are one component of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group, which is funded by the U.S. State Department, European Union and the U.K.’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

The Kremlin has previously denied that its forces commit war crimes or deliberately target civilians and related critical infrastructure. The Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C., did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

Exclusive – House China Chief: United States Deep into ‘New Cold War’ with Chinese Communist Party

Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), the chairman of the newly created U.S. House Select Committee on China, told Breitbart News exclusively that the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are deep into a “new Cold War.”

Gallagher’s bold characterization of years-long rising tensions between the two world powers, as the official authority of the U.S. House of Representatives on the matter, as a “Cold War” much like the decades-long one the United States eventually won against the now-defunct Soviet Union is a major escalation.

China Launches Massive Online Censorship Sweep Ahead of Tiananmen Square Anniversary

“It’s my argument that they, increasingly in partnership with Russia and to a lesser extent Iran, have been waging Cold War against us for the better part of a decade,” Gallagher said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News that aired on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel last weekend. “I mean, historians will argue when this new Cold War began, it could have began in 2009 when under the previous leadership of Hu Jintao they made aggressive claims in the South China Sea that led to this sort of unprecedented militarization. It could be in 2015 with the OPM hack, which actually happened in 2014, or it could be when Xi Jinping came to power in 2012 or 2013. Who knows? But, they are waging it against us. The point of Cold War, in some sense, is to achieve your objectives without having to resort to hot war. Like the Soviets before them and as Winston Churchill said at the beginning of the old Cold War, of course they don’t want war—they want the fruits of war without having to go to war. We need to deny them that objective.”

Gallagher said some in foreign policy established circles are hesitant to speak so plainly about the threat of the CCP, but not doing so gives them everything they want.

U.S. Companies Plan over 400K Layoffs as Democrats Claim Business Needs More Foreign Workers to Hire

Companies in the United States have announced, so far this year, more than 400,000 layoffs — more than the layoffs announced in all of last year. The job cuts come as Democrats, on behalf of business special interests, demand more foreign competition in the labor market for employers to hire.

The employment data, collected by Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. and published in Bloomberg, shows that roughly 417,500 layoffs have been announced from January through May by U.S. companies across sectors such as technology, banking, retail, and media, among others.

Alarming Trend: Most Americans Unaware They’re Ingesting Deadly Fentanyl

The migrant crisis has carried with it several deleterious issues for the country, one of which is the terrifying increase in overdose deaths due to fentanyl. New data confirms what many suspect about the rate of deaths the opioid has caused: Most of those who ingest the drug are not aware that they are ingesting it. This has led to tens of thousands of overdose deaths, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, the Biden administration is still unable – or unwilling – to address the problem:

More than 80% of New Yorkers who inject drugs test positive for the opioid fentanyl, despite only 18% reporting using it intentionally, according to a new study by researchers at the NYU School of Global Public Health.

The findings, published in the International Journal of Drug Policy, suggest that many people who inject drugs are unknowingly using fentanyl, which may increase their risk for overdose and potentially their tolerance to fentanyl if it is used over time.

In 2021, more than 100,000 people died of a drug overdose in the United States, with 66% of these deaths involving illicit fentanyl—a synthetic opioid that is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine

Much of the fentanyl being consumed by unsuspecting Americans is being trafficked by Mexican drug cartels over the southern border. These entities have been taking advantage of the ongoing migrant crisis to smuggle the opioid into the country, where it is laced into common street drugs like heroin, methamphetamine, and even marijuana.

Overdose deaths are already a serious issue. But the problem becomes even more pronounced after acknowledging that foreign entities are essentially poisoning Americans. This is nothing short of wholesale murder being carried out by Mexican drug cartels with the help of Chinese manufacturers who help to supply them. Unfortunately, these tragic deaths will persist as long as the Biden administration continues to allow this problem to persist.

U.S. NEWS, POLITICS & GOVERNMENT

Biden Signs Debt Ceiling Bill, Ending Months of Political Battle

President Joe Biden signed the Fiscal Responsibility Act on June 3, suspending the debt ceiling for 19 months and bringing a months-long political battle to a close.

The legislation negotiated by Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was approved by both houses of Congress with bipartisan support last week, averting a potential default on the nation’s financial obligations.

“Passing this budget agreement was critical. The stakes could not have been higher,” Biden said in a June 2 evening address to the nation from the Oval Office.

Tennessee Bill Banning Drag Shows in Front of Children Unconstitutional: Federal Judge

The Tennessee law that prohibits drag shows in front of children is unconstitutional, a U.S. judge ruled on June 2.

The Adult Entertainment Act (AEA) “is both unconstitutionally vague and substantially overbroad,” U.S. District Judge Thomas Parker, a Trump appointee, said in the ruling.

The law makes it a criminal offense for a person to “perform adult cabaret entertainment” on public property or in a place where it could be viewed by a minor. Adult cabaret entertainment is defined in the law as shows featuring strippers, men dressed as women, or similar entertainers.

US Education Department Issues Pride Month Promise to Public Schools

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene have called for the agency’s dissolution because of its “woke” ideology.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Banned by Major Social Media Site, Campaign Pages Blocked

Twitter owner Elon Musk invited Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for a discussion on his Twitter Spaces after Kennedy said his campaign was suspended by Meta-owned Instagram.

“Interesting… when we use our TeamKennedy email address to set up @instagram accounts we get an automatic 180-day ban. Can anyone guess why that’s happening?” he wrote on Twitter. An accompanying image shows that Instagram said it “suspended” his “Team Kennedy” account and that there “are 180 days remaining to disagree” with the company’s decision.

In response to his post, Musk wrote: “Would you like to do a Spaces discussion with me next week?” Kennedy agreed, saying he would do it Monday at 2 p.m. ET.

Left Seeks to Extend Voting to Prisoners, Noncitizens to Expand Base

Inmate voting, noncitizen voting, and even mandatory voting have been among the initiatives pushed in Democrat-led jurisdictions this year to expand their voting base.

“The Left wants to normalize voter classes that nobody took seriously a generation ago—criminals, foreigners—to help them win elections,” J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, an election integrity group, told The Daily Signal.

As I noted in my book “The Myth of Voter Suppression,” Democrats long have sought to change election laws to gain a political advantage.

The nation’s capital, the District of Columbia, adopted noncitizen voting this year for local elections such as mayor and city council. Oregon lawmakers are pushing prisoner voting, while blue states on the West and East coasts are considering mandatory voting.

“The Left talks big about ‘helping everyone vote,’ but for at least the past decade, they’ve focused all their efforts on only helping their preferred voters cast a ballot,” Hayden Ludwig, director of policy research at Restoration of America, a conservative group, told The Daily Signal in an email. “Everything from lowering the voting age to vote-by-mail and felon voting rights is geared to drive turnout among the ‘New American Majority,’ their term for the demographic groups Democrats are pinning all their hopes on.”

The District of Columbia is looking to join five states—California, Illinois, Maryland, New York, and Vermont—to allow noncitizen voting in local elections for municipal offices or school boards, according to the organization Americans for Citizen Voting. A court has blocked the law from taking effect in New York City.

US Air Force Trained A Drone With AI To Kill Targets. It Attacked The Operator Instead

An Air Force experiment to test drones trained on artificial intelligence (AI) ended badly for the human operator in a simulated mission when the drone bucked the operator’s commands, U.S. Air Force Col. Tucker Hamilton said at a conference in May.

Air Force researchers trained a weaponized drone using AI to identify and attack enemy air defenses after receiving final mission approval from a human operator, Hamilton, who serves as the Air Force’s chief of AI Test and Operations, explained at a summit hosted by the United Kingdom-based Royal Aeronautical Society. But when an operator told the drone to abort a mission in a simulated event, the AI instead turned on its operator and drove the vehicle to kill the operator, underscoring the dangers of the U.S. military’s push to incorporate AI into autonomous weapons systems, he added.

“We were training it in simulation to identify and target a SAM (surface-to-air missile) threat. And then the operator would say yes, kill that threat,” Hamilton explained.

Arizona’s Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates Says He Will Not Seek Re-election Next Year

A high-profile election official in Arizona who faced criticism over his handling of both the 2020 presidential election and the 2022 midterms will not be seeking reelection.

Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates, 51, announced his decision in a lengthy statement on June 1, citing his plans to “pursue other interests and opportunities.”

“For over thirteen years, it has been my honor to serve my home state of Arizona on the Phoenix City Council and the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. As this chapter comes to an end, I rest well knowing that I led with integrity, compassion, and dignity,” the Republican wrote.

Gates said he will serve out the remainder of his term.

Sen. Rand Paul Blocking Biden Nominees Until COVID-19 Documents Released

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is seeking the release of U.S. government documents that may show links between risky U.S.-funded research projects and the origins of COVID-19.

Paul has been requesting these documents for years, following concerns that the SARS-CoV-2 virus could have been created through “gain of function” experiments.

“I’ve been trying to get COVID records for three years and my concern with the COVID Records is that the U.S. government funded a lot of research that was risky research called ‘gain of function’ research,” Paul told NTD News on Thursday. “Some of that research was funded in China, some of it’s been funded in our country. And I think that we need to find out about all of that research and it needs to come to the public, it needs to be reviewed.”

As part of his effort to compel the current administration to release any records relating to the origins of COVID-19, Paul is now vowing to block President Joe Biden’s nominees.

In a Thursday morning interview on Fox Business’s “Mornings with Maria,” Paul said the Biden administration has refused to turn over the records for going on three years.

“I’m in the process of blocking nominations, of blocking legislation, if they will not help me to get records. And so this is going on in two major committees that I’m on: the Foreign Relations Committee as well as the Homeland Security,” he said. “I’m telling you, I’m not letting anything pass unanimously, I’m blocking everything until you finally turn over some of these records on COVID.”

Exclusive: Nikki Haley Warns 2024 Candidates Are Actually Running Against ‘President Kamala Harris’

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley took a jab at President Joe Biden’s competency level Saturday, saying candidates need to approach the 2024 race as if they were running against “President Kamala Harris.”

“Anybody that thinks a vote for Biden is truly a vote for Biden is mistaken. You’re voting for Kamala Harris,” said Haley, former South Carolina governor and ambassador to the U.N., during an interview with Breitbart News at Iowa’s annual Roast and Ride.

She added, “That’s what this is. We’re running against President Kamala Harris. That’s the way we need to look at it because that’s what’s going to happen if he gets reelected again.”

She added, “That’s what this is. We’re running against President Kamala Harris. That’s the way we need to look at it because that’s what’s going to happen if he gets reelected again.”

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned China that a war over its democratic neighbor Taiwan would have a “devastating” impact on the world.

“The whole world has a stake in maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait—the whole world. The security of commercial shipping lanes and global supply chains depends on it. And so does freedom of navigation worldwide,” Austin said during his speech at the International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on June 3.

“Make no mistake: conflict in the Taiwan Strait would be devastating,” Austin added.

Taiwan is facing a constant threat of invasion from China, which sees the self-ruled island as a part of its territory. In recent years, the threat comes in the form of China constantly sending military jets into the island’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ). In 2022, China sent 1,727 planes into Taiwan’s ADIZ, up from 960 in 2021 and 380 in 2020, according to the AFP citing data from the island’s defense ministry.

An ADIZ is a publicly-declared area next to a state’s national airspace, in which approaching foreign aircraft must be ready to identify themselves and their location. The area allows time for the military to judge the nature of the incoming aircraft and take defensive measures if needed.

One of the largest-scale incursions this year happened on April 10, when 54 Chinese warplanes entered the island’s ADIZ.

5 Takeaways From Trump’s Iowa Town Hall

Former President Donald Trump’s fans in a Fox News audience made it clear: They like his toughness—and they miss the ways his policies benefited America and the world during his presidency.

The June 1 town hall-style forum in Clive, Iowa, began and ended with cheers and standing ovations from the crowd, which applauded and whistled when host Sean Hannity said he assumed that almost everyone there would be voting for Trump to become the Republican party’s nominee for president.

Hannity told Trump that he often hears people ask why Trump has to call people names and behave so brashly. They wonder why he doesn’t “tone it down”, Hannity said.

Trump responded: “I won an election. It was unprecedented … and from the day I got in [office], I was under siege … If I wasn’t tough, I wouldn’t be here right now.” That answer drew one of the most sustained cheers of the hourlong event.

Hannity said the “massive, incredible, enthusiastic” audience came out in “rain, thunder and lightning” for the chance to hear Trump speak in person and possibly ask him a question. During the live town hall, only two audience members were able to ask questions. But Hannity said another segment with more audience questions would be videotaped for later broadcast.

Trump’s appearance in a friendlier atmosphere at the more conservative Fox network contrasted sharply with the town hall that left-leaning CNN hosted three weeks ago. Although the CNN audience was filled with Republican voters who seemed mostly Trump-friendly—drawing criticism from CNN’s liberal audience—CNN moderator Kaitlan Collins frequently interrupted Trump and got into contentious exchanges with him.

Hannity said: “Unlike ‘fake news’ CNN, it’s not my job to sit here and debate the candidate. We’re going to ask him about the issues of the day that actually matter to the people.”

Here are five takeaways from Hannity’s interview and the two audience questions.

Rutherford Institute Asks Court to Hold Government Accountable for Violating Citizens’ First Amendment Right to Political Expression

The Rutherford Institute is challenging attempts by the government to sidestep accountability and avoid having to make financial restitution for violating the citizenry’s First Amendment right to political expression.

Although a state circuit court found that government officials in Punta Gorda, Fla., acted unconstitutionally when it fined two protesters a total of $3000 for displaying political messages stating “F@#k Biden,” “F@#k Trump,” and “F@#k Policing 4 Profit” in violation of the city’s sign ordinance, the court refused to make the government financially liable for violating the protesters’ First Amendment right to political expression. In appealing to Florida’s Sixth District Court of Appeal in Massey v. City of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Sheets v. City of Punta Gorda, Fla., Rutherford Institute attorneys warn that shielding the government from accountability for its wrongful actions will only encourage government entities to believe they can freely violate the constitutional rights of its citizens without having to pay a penny or suffer any consequences.

“The right of political free speech is the basis of all liberty. No matter what their political persuasion might be, every American has a First Amendment right to protest government programs or policies with which they might disagree,” said constitutional attorney John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute and author of Battlefield America: The War on the American People. “As the Supreme Court recognized, laws of this sort empower the government to suppress unpopular ideas or information and manipulate the public debate through coercion, which is exactly the kind of tyranny the First Amendment was intended to prohibit.”

OpenTheBooks and U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst Tracked Over $1.3 Billion of U.S. Tax Dollars Sent to China and Russia, Promises Accountability for Every Penny

More than $1.3 billion U.S. tax dollars were sent to Russia and China over the past five years (since 2017), according to a new analysis released today by Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and OpenTheBooks.com auditors. This amount likely doesn’t reflect the total amount because federal agencies do not follow the trail of tax dollars to their final destination.

Senator Ernst and Congressman Mike Gallagher (R-Wisc.) are leading the charge to create transparency and accountability for the taxpayer dollars that are being handed out in China and Russia. Today, they are introducing the Tracking Receipts to Adversarial Countries for Knowledge of Spending (TRACKS) Act that would require every penny from a government grant paid to any organization in China and Russia to be tracked and publicly disclosed.

Senator Ernst and OpenTheBooks determined more than $490 million from U.S. grants and contracts were paid to organizations in China over the past five years and another $870 million were paid to entities in Russia.

“Holding firms responsible to publicly report where and how they use their grants and contract awards can deputize private citizens and make them part of the solution. Radical transparency is revolutionizing U.S. public policy and is the information machine for democracy. Everyone has a stake in a more transparent, effective government.”

Federal Judge Issues Landmark Decision in Call for Family Court Reform

In a landmark decision, a federal judge this week denied a court-appointed child advocate’s motion to dismiss a wrongful death lawsuit against her. The lawsuit asks the court to hold her accountable for the suicide of 14-year-old Mikaela Haynes.

Family court reform advocates say they are nearly in disbelief at the ruling.

“This is a huge victory and a promising sign in what is an exhausting fight to bring awareness to the ugly truth that court-appointed advocates who are supposed to protect children instead put them in danger,” Evita Tolu, the attorney who won the unprecedented ruling, told The Epoch Times.

Dave Ramsey sued for $150 million by former fans who followed his timeshare exit advice

A group of former followers of Dave Ramsey has sued the Christian finance guru and radio host, along with his company and a marketing firm, for endorsing a failed timeshare exit company that allegedly defrauded customers out of millions.

Seventeen former Ramsey listeners filed a class-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for Western Washington alleging Ramsey was paid as much as $30 million from 2015 to 2021 to endorse Timeshare Exit Team, a Kirkland, Washington-based firm that collected $200 million from clients — many of them Ramsey listeners — in exchange for a promise to free them from their timeshare obligations.  That promise came with a money-back guarantee.

Less Than 10 Percent of Pistol Braces Registered With ATF by Deadline

Multiple lawsuits are pending as regulators mum on enforcement

Only 255,162 of the millions of pistol-stabilizing braces known to be in civilian hands have been registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) by the May 31 deadline set by the agency.

“Possessors of such firearms were also provided the option to comply with the final rule by permanently removing and disposing of, or altering, the ‘stabilizing brace’ such that it could not be reattached or by destroying the firearm,” Erik Longnecker, deputy chief of the ATF’s Public Affairs Division, told The Epoch Times by email on June 3.

“ATF is unable to estimate the number of possessors of such firearms that used either of these methods to comply with the final rule. Likewise, we have no data currently available for the number of firearms abandoned to ATF.”

Pistol brace owners have been estimated at between 3 million and 40 million, so the number of registered owners is anywhere from 0.6 percent to 8 percent. This doesn’t consider the pistol brace owners covered by injunctions issued by federal judges.

On Jan. 13, the ATF issued criteria for the firearms, outlining that pistol-stabilizing braces converted pistols into short-barreled rifles (SBR), which are regulated by the National Firearms Act (NFA) of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968.

“This . . . Should Deeply Trouble Us All”: Hunter Biden Reportedly Planning a Second Amendment Defense

“This . . . should deeply trouble us all.” Those words from President Joe Biden were his response to the Supreme Court reaffirming the individual rights under the Second Amendment in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen in 2022. Now, according to the New York Times, Hunter Biden is preparing a possible Second Amendment defense to gun charges under that very case. The idea of the Bidens going Bruen is only the latest glaring contradiction for the First Family as it struggles to contain the scandals surrounding the son of the President. It appears that “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a [Second Amendment claim] is a good guy with a [Second Amendment claim].”

When the Supreme Court handed down Bruen, it was heralded as a great civil liberties victory for gun owners and a great tragedy by gun control advocates. One of the loudest critics was President Biden who expressed his “deep disappointment” and denounced a ruling that he insisted “contradicts both common sense and the Constitution.”

Those nonexistent rights, however, may now benefit his son who is facing clearly false statements contained on a gun form.

Suspect with Nintendo Duck Hunt Gun Arrested After Robbery

Twenty-five-year-old David Joseph Dalesandro was arrested with a spray-painted Nintendo Duck Hunt gun which he allegedly used in the holdup of a York County, South Carolina, Kwik Stop.

Dalesandro allegedly robbed the store Tuesday around 5:45 p.m., WLOS reported. It is not clear whether he brandished the gun or simply kept it where it was visible in his waistband.

American Airlines Struggles With Pilot Deficit, Grounds 150 Aircraft

American Airlines, a leading carrier based in Fort Worth, is currently grappling with a significant challenge. The airline is unable to operate approximately 150 of its regional aircraft due to a persistent shortage of pilots, as revealed by CEO Robert Isom.

Speaking at the Bernstein 39th Annual Strategic Decisions Conference, Isom stated, “We would deploy properly to markets that aren’t being served. We would do that today. It’s just we don’t have the pilots.”

This issue arises at a time when the airline industry is witnessing a record demand for travel, particularly during the summer season. However, the capacity to meet this demand is constrained by the lack of pilots, leading to grounded planes and missed opportunities to capitalize on high ticket prices. Isom noted that the situation is more severe than the previous year when the pilot shortage began to significantly affect regional airlines as demand rebounded following the downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ANALYSIS: Conservatives’ Boycotts Wipe Off Billions From Target and Bud Light Valuations, More Brand Battles Upcoming

Major brands such as Bud Light and Target, among others, are facing immense backlash from supporting LGBTQ causes, with the market capitalization of the firms crashing by double digits in recent weeks.

Stores of Target were boycotted after the retail giant rolled out its Pride collection at the beginning of May, including some items targeted at children. Between May 1 and May 30, Target’s market capitalization fell from $72.52 billion to $61.78 billion—a decline of 14.80 percent. Bud Light became a target after partnering with transgender social media personality Dylan Mulvaney in a promotional campaign in April. Between April 3 and May 30, the market cap of Anheuser-Busch, which owns Bud Light, fell from $132.06 billion to $108.19 billion—a decrease of over 18 percent.

Target shares were trading at $130.93 as of 06:07 EDT, June 1, down 13.71 percent year to date and at a fresh 52-week low. It is the stock’s longest losing streak since November 2018. Shares of Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA were trading at €49.97, down 12.18 percent for the year.

In addition to Target and Bud Light, several other companies, including PetSmart, Chick-fil-A, and Walmart, are also now facing boycott calls due to their endorsement of the LGBTQ agenda.

Elon Musk Says Target Will Face Shareholder Lawsuits Amid Pro-LGBT Controversy

As Target’s stock price has taken a beating amid conservative backlash over the company’s decision to sell LGBT-themed items and clothing, Twitter CEO Elon Musk said Friday that it’s just a matter of time before Target faces lawsuits for “destruction of shareholder value.”

Musk made the remarks in response to a tweet by conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who posted about JPMorgan downgrading Target’s stock after suffering its longest losing streak in decades.

Over the past month or so, Target’s stock dropped by double digits amid conservative calls for a boycott against the chain in connection to its decision to sell LGBT-themed apparel, including onesies for children and books instructing kids about the use of transgender pronouns.

Several days ago, JPMorgan downgraded Target Corporation’s stock from overweight to neutral, with the Wall Street bank citing “too many concerns” with the retail giant.

“We believe this share loss could accelerate into back to school and linger into holiday given consumer pressures and recent company controversies,” wrote JPMorgan analyst Christopher Horvers, per MarketWatch. “This could turn [Target’s] traffic negative after an impressive run of 12 consecutive positive quarters.”

Musk responded to Kirk’s tweet about Target’s stock downgrade by predicting that the company would face shareholder lawsuits.

“Won’t be long before there are class-action lawsuits by shareholders against the company and board of directors for destruction of shareholder value,” Musk wrote.

Ex-Target Executive Reveals the ‘One Item’ That Sparked Boycott Calls

A former Target executive claimed that there was one item that sparked widespread boycott calls against the big box chain.

Former Target Vice Chairman Gerald Storch said in a Sunday interview with Fox News that a number of retailers, including Target, have sold pro-LGBT merchandise over the past several years and claimed that “everybody carries that stuff.”

But he noted that Target appeared to go a step further this year by carrying a “tuck swimsuit” that targets transgender people. In mid-May, conservative commentators made note of the swimsuit and claimed that it was being marketed for children, but Target officials pushed back and said that the item was only sold for adults.

“I’ve never seen a case where one item, that tuck swimsuit, that’s really what made the difference versus the competitors. That’s where the big mistake [was] made,” Storch told the outlet.

Some pointed out that Target’s website sells a range of LGBT and pro-transgender merchandise, including “pride” clothing targeting infants and small children. Target is also selling children’s books that instruct them on how to use transgender pronouns.

“I cannot state enough how important is for people to choose not to shop at Target. There has never been a company that has been more pro-transgenderism than Target,” Daily Wire commentator Candace Owens wrote last month.

Chase says online banking issue now resolved after bug causes double transactions and fees

Customers of Chase’s online banking services saw double transactions, fees and payments in their accounts on Friday, in a glitch that was not fixed until late in the day.

Numerous Chase customers had posted on social media that their rent or bill payments were taken out of their accounts twice and reported hold times with customer service approaching more than an hour. The New York-based bank is one of the country’s largest financial institutions with millions of online customers.

Supreme Court Ruling Could Have Chilling Effect on Right to Strike

The U.S. Supreme Court has delivered a blow to organized labor in the latest ruling, raising concerns among legal experts that the decision will make unions that engage in strikes more vulnerable to lawsuits while others see a more limited effect.

An 8–1 ruling on Thursday authored by conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett made it easier for companies to sue over strikes that result in property damage. A case known as Glacier Northwest v. International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 174 involved a strike by the union representing truck drivers at a concrete business owned by Japan-based Taiheiyo Cement Corp in Washington state.

Legal scholars such as Angela Cornell, a Cornell Law School labor law professor, called it “another decision that undermines the capacity of unions to function.” They argue that by making strikes riskier and reducing the leverage unions have on negotiations, the decision favors business interests while limiting workers’ collective rights.

Cornell said the decision “could chill the recent uptick in collective action by workers” by placing unions at greater risk of facing lawsuits if they go on strike.

Withholding labor is seen as one of the primary tools for workers to secure higher wages, better benefits, and improved working conditions from employers.

“The ability to strike has been on the books for nearly 100 years, and it’s no coincidence that this ruling is coming at a time when workers across the country are fed up and exercising their rights more and more,” Teamsters President Sean O’Brien said in a statement.

Here’s How Many Jobs Were Lost in One Month Due to AI

Almost 4,000 American jobs were lost last month following the use of artificial intelligence (AI), according to a recent report, as businesses increasingly consider deploying AI in their regular operations.

U.S.-based employers announced 80,089 job cuts in May, out of which 3,900 reductions were blamed on artificial intelligence, according to a May 2023 layoffs report (pdf) by outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. AI accounted for 4.86 percent of overall job cuts last month. This is the first time that AI was mentioned as a reason for layoffs by the HR firm. The report comes at a time when companies are increasingly exploring the potential of using AI at various levels of their organization.

A Spring 2023 survey by Challenger showed that 11.76 percent of companies were “looking into” using AIs like ChatGPT in their human resources operations.

When asked how they planned to use the AI, implementing the tech as a tool to make employees more productive took the first spot. Replacing some of the employee functions and streamlining operations came in at the second spot. Using AI to boost employee and customer experiences was ranked third and fourth.

Some major companies have already begun considering replacing workers with AI. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, IBM chief executive Arvind Krishna said that hiring in back-office functions like human resources would be slowed down or suspended.

These non-customer-facing roles accounted for around 26,000 employees at IBM. “I could easily see 30 percent of that getting replaced by AI and automation over a five-year period,” he said. This could result in around 7,800 jobs at IBM getting axed.

SCOTUS Allows IRS to Carry Out Secret, Warrantless Searches of Innocent Taxpayers’ Bank Accounts

In a unanimous opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court is allowing the IRS to go on secret, warrantless fishing expeditions through innocent taxpayers’ bank records in order to identify and collect unpaid taxes from family members and associates who have no legal interest in those bank accounts.

Despite acknowledging that “the authority vested in tax collectors may be abused, as all power is subject to abuse,” and that “Congress has given the IRS considerable power,” the Supreme Court’s 9-0 ruling in Polselli v. IRS declined to restrict the IRS’s authority. Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute and Cato Institute had filed an amicus brief in Polselli arguing that the sweeping investigatory power wielded by the IRS—to circumvent the Fourth Amendment by carrying out warrantless searches of the bank accounts and records of innocent people, who are given no notice or right to object to the search, merely because they may be associated with a delinquent taxpayer—offends every constitutional sensibility on the right to privacy.

FBI Refuses To Hand Over Communications About Twitter-Related Censorship

The FBI has refused to provide records of its communication with Twitter, related to policing misinformation.

In December, as part of the Twitter Files, journalist Matt Taibbi published several emails between FBI officials and Twitter that showed that the FBI repeatedly contacted Twitter to flag alleged misinformation. The FBI’s National Election Command Post (NECP) and the Foreign Influence Task Force were in close contact with Twitter over election misinformation, according to the emails obtained by Taibbi.

In light of the Twitter Files revelations, watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for all records of communication between the FBI and Twitter from January 2020 to November 2022.

The FBI refused to respond to the request, claiming it “will neither confirm nor deny the existence” of the records.

“The mere acknowledgment of the existence of FBI records on third-party individuals could reasonably be expected to constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy,” the FBI told Protect the Public’s Trust.

“The FBI’s response to these requests is nothing short of bizarre,” Michael Chamberlain, director of Protect the Public’s Trust, told the Washington Examiner. “They twisted the substance of the requests and then asserted the right to deny acknowledging if records even exist based upon their mangled interpretation, and even though they have already admitted that the records exist.”

Chamberlain added that the lack of transparency from the FBI increases “suspicion about what the agency’s officials may have been involved in.”

The watchdog plans to appeal the FBI’s decision, arguing there is “tremendous public interest in knowing how the FBI interacted with Twitter, particularly with respect to suppressing speech by American citizens.”

“There is no substantial privacy interest in the entirety of the requested records,” the watchdog wrote in the appeal.

Robot farmers? Machines are crawling through America’s fields. And some have lasers.

Looking like the ungainly combination of a Transformer and Edward Scissorhands, the robot slowly trundles across the field of tiny plants. It uses three high-resolution cameras to peer down at the ground below.

Lit by synchronized strobe lights, an onboard computer creates a digital image of each seedling as it glides by, comparing them with all the greenery it might reasonably find in a field of rich Salinas valley farmland two hours south of San Francisco.

In a fraction of a second, there’s a match – broccoli – and the computer hones in on the exact center of the plant, creating an on-the-fly chart of its placement.

ANALYSIS: Scope of FBI’s Use of 702 Section Data on Americans Revealed for 1st Time

FBI conducted as many as 3.4 million U.S. person queries of Section 702 data in one year and used FISA data in Jan. 6 investigations

News Analysis

The FBI’s use of warrantless “backdoor searches” of a vast amount of information known as the Section 702 database—which is intended for targeted surveillance of foreign persons located outside the United States—to spy on Americans is far more widespread than previously thought, according to a new report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Section 702 is a key provision of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) that permits the government to conduct targeted surveillance of foreign persons located outside the United States and is supposed to prevent any surveillance of U.S. citizens.

This massive database contains emails, texts, and phone calls that come from the tech giants, but also comes from the backbone of the internet. It’s one of the most powerful collection and surveillance tools that the Intelligence Community has.

The report revealed that the FBI performed up to 3.4 million U.S. person queries of Section 702 data in 2021 alone. By contrast, the CIA and National Security Agency (NSA) combined ran fewer than 4,000 searches. The DNI was obviously reluctant to reveal this information, listing it as “fewer than 3,394,053 searches,” and also went to great effort to explain why this number might be inflated, telling us that the FBI might run multiple searches or queries on the same individual.

BIS To Use AI To Monitor Global Bank Transactions For “Money Laundering”

While the IMF is currently gearing up to introduce its new global CBDC system called the UMU (also known as the Unicoin), The Bank for International Settlements has been busy with multiple projects designed to centralize all international banks and central banks into a single umbrella network that allows for quick cross-border transactions using digital currencies.  In other words, a cashless society.

One such concept, called Project Icebreaker, dealt specifically with creating a SWIFT-like bottleneck system which would allow global banks to regulate and eventually homogenize all currencies into a single one world exchange model that would give them the power to cut out any nation or company that does not meet their ideological approval.

The latest idea from the BIS is Project Aurora, which may be even more disturbing than Icebreaker in its implications.  Aurora is designed to use “machine learning” (AI) as a tool to monitor vast flows of financial transactions from all over the world in order to identify specifically flagged patterns.  The BIS says that this is meant to discover criminal money laundering structures protected by “money mules.”  However, in order for the AI to sift through global transactions in real time, corporate banks and governments would have to create extensive streamlined access to accounts then open the doors wide for the AI to operate with impunity.

Geoengineering Watch Global Alert News, June 3, 2023, #408

“Seven of the nine thresholds that allow for human life on Earth have already been crossed”, a breaking headline this week. Global biodiversity loss has also been declared “significantly more alarming than previously suspected”. A new headline addressing the state of the ozone layer admits that “surface UV radiation continues to rise”. As dire as these headlines may sound, what’s actually unfolding, is even worse. With total environmental collapse looming on the near term horizon, matrix media is still pushing climate engineering as a potential “silver bullet” that could save us from ourselves. After over 75 years of ongoing and expanding weather warfare it could not be more clear, climate engineering isn’t saving us, it is ensuring our collective demise. The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

Biden’s Green Rules Mean Appliances Will Soon Cost More and Do Less, Experts Say

News Analysis

A pledge by the Biden administration in December 2022 to take “more than 100 actions” to impose significantly tighter environmental standards on consumer goods is now becoming reality, and consumer groups are predicting a future in which Americans pay more for products that do less, while manufacturers warn of shortages and supply chain breakdowns.

“You’re seeing, just in the last few months, new rules from the Biden administration about clothes washers, dishwashers, and other kinds of kitchen appliances, and in every case, you’re talking about a tightening of already very, very tight standards,” O.H. Skinner, executive director of the Alliance for Consumers, told The Epoch Times.

“That will make it so that nearly the majority of the current products on the market don’t meet the standards and have to be redesigned or removed from the market,” Skinner said. “Everyday things that people actually want are going to get more expensive or disappear, and the products that will be available will be more expensive but not better. People are going to wonder why life is worse.”

These new regulations (pdf) from the Department of Energy (DOE) come on top of new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions regulations on cars and electric utilities, and efforts to ban gas stoves, which critics say will have similar consequences in those industries. Many of these new regulations will be finalized by next year and would give manufacturers several years to comply.

Nat’l Black Farmers Assn. Pres. on Report U.S. Paid Chinese Food Producers: We’re Giving China Resources to Buy our Farms

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends First,” National Black Farmers Association President John Boyd Jr. reacted to a report by Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Open the Books that the U.S. government has given at least $490 million in U.S. grants and contracts to Chinese entities and another $870 million to Russian entities since 2017, including $1.6 million to Chinese food producers by stating that China is buying up American farms, “and this administration is giving them resources to do these types of things.”

Boyd said, “You know, when you look at what China is doing, they’re buying America’s farms. So, when I spoke about farm foreclosures, it’s operatives like Chinese organizations that are purchasing these farms right here in the United States. So, we can’t go to China and buy their farms, but they can come to right here in the United States and buy our farms, and this administration is giving them resources to do these types of things. Something is terribly, terribly wrong with this picture and we have to look at what’s really going on. The American farmer is suffering right here with the highest input costs we’ve had in our nation’s history for America’s farmers. We’re out here struggling and we’re managing to help countries like China and Russia, America’s two biggest adversaries.”

Tuberculosis on the Rise: Here’s What to Know About the Disease

Over the past few years, we have experienced isolation, mask-wearing, and significant behavioral changes in response to a declared pandemic.

As that emergency fades into the “new normal” of our post-COVID world—the mass migration of people into Western countries is setting the stage for something potentially worse.

The escalating influx of individuals from various regions has led to an unprecedented situation at the U.S. border, raising concerns about the introduction of tuberculosis (TB) and other infectious diseases not widespread in the United States.

New U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data published in March found that tuberculosis cases increased by 5 percent in 2022 to 8,300 cases in the United States.

FDA Warns Consumers Not to Use Certain Versions of Popular Drug

‘Compounded’ versions of Ozempic and Wegovy under federal scrutiny

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned consumers not to use off-brand versions of weight-loss drugs Ozempic, Rybelsus, and Wegovy because they may not have the same ingredients.

Those off-brand versions of the drugs are possibly unsafe or ineffective, the federal regulator said in a notice this week. Officials said they received reports of problems linked to “compounded” versions of semaglutide, the drug’s active ingredient.

“Drug compounding is the process of combining, mixing, or altering ingredients to create a medication tailored to the needs of an individual patient,” the agency said. “Compounding includes the combining of two or more drugs. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the agency does not verify the safety or effectiveness of compounded drugs.”

Compounding is sometimes allowed in pharmacies during drug shortages, according to the FDA. However, those drugs have not met certain standards under the U.S. Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, said the agency.

Compounded semaglutide can contain a version of the ingredient that is not approved for human use, said the FDA. It also warned that reports have indicated some versions of compounded semaglutide contain salt, which changes the drug.

“The agency is not aware of any basis for compounding using the salt forms that would meet the [Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act] requirements for types of active ingredients that can be compounded,” the FDA said.

“Patients should be aware that some products sold as ‘semaglutide’ may not contain the same active ingredient as FDA-approved semaglutide products and may be the salt formulations,” said the notice, adding that drugs “containing these salts, such as semaglutide sodium and semaglutide acetate, have not been shown to be safe and effective.”

8 Toxic Chemicals in Conventional Dish Soap

Choosing organic produce is important, but so is making sure that the dishes you use to cook and eat aren’t washed in toxic chemicals. Here are some common bad guys to avoid and why you should give them the boot from your kitchen.

Let’s face it, doing the dishes is a part of daily life and while that may be the case, exposure to some very common and toxic chemicals shouldn’t be. When was the last time you looked at the ingredients in your dish detergent? Can you not only pronounce, but understand what each one of them is and does? Odds are you’re like me and can maybe pronounce half of them, but that’s as far as I get. To help you live a greener and healthier lifestyle we’ve come up with a list of eight ingredients (aka chemicals) you should avoid in your dish detergents.

  1. Phosphates

These are often used as a water-softening mineral and act as a fertilizer in water and are hazardous to consume for both ourselves and marine life. If concentrations of this type of chemical are too high in water, they can deplete oxygen levels and promote the growth of certain algae which are toxic to consume. Try switching to a brand that is phosphate free to avoid inadvertently raising the level of this chemical in our water supply.

  1. Triclosan

This type of synthetic chemical is often added to dish detergents due to its antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral properties. This is the chemical that often qualifies a cleaner as “antibacterial”.

However, this chemical is hazardous to our hormones and disrupts our body’s natural thyroid and endocrin systems. This chemical is also often attributed to the growth of “superbugs” since it bioaccumulates in the human body.

  1. SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate)/SLES (sodium laureth sulfate)

This type of chemical is what gives your dish detergent its foamy property and allows it to cut through grease. While the bubbles are nice to see, they aren’t nice to absorb. This chemical absorbs through your skin and can lead to 1,4-dioxane contamination. It’s also been known to cause rashes and allergic reactions.

  1. Fragrance

Any given fragrance mixture can contain up to 3,000 chemicals. Which, over time can coat themselves onto plates, forks, cups etc. and eventually be ingested. We recommend going with a dish detergent that gets its fragrance from natural essential oils.

  1. DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (monoethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine)

These chemicals have been found to disrupt hormones in the human body and are known for creating nitrates and nitrosamines. There is also a risk of developing 1,4-dioxane contamination if you’re regularly exposed to these types of chemicals.

  1. Chlorine

Also known as sodium dichloroisocyanurate, this chemical has ben listed on both the EPA’s Community Right-To-Know list and the 1990 Clean Air Act. It is extremely toxic to fish and releases chlorine into the air when it’s being used to clean your dishes.

  1. Formaldehyde

This chemical is a known carcinogen and might appear on your detergent label as methanol, methyl aldehyde and methylene oxide. It’s added to detergents along with preservatives so that overtime it is slowly released as a preventative to bacterial contamination. However, concentrations of this chemical are toxic within the human body.

  1. Ammonia

This chemical is extremely toxic and should be avoided. Many people aren’t aware that ammonia, even if in “trace” amounts, is present in their dish detergents. If combined with bleach to create a cleaning solution, the two will release fumes that can cause damage to your eyes, respiratory tract and skin.

So, if you’re convinced that your current dish detergent just won’t work for you anymore, try switching to Miracle II Soap

How to Build a Healthy Home

While commonly overlooked, the materials used in the building of your home can have a significant impact on your health

“Prescription for a Healthy House: A Practical Guide for Architects, Builders and Homeowners,” co-written by Paula Baker-Laporte, principal architect at EcoNest Architecture, is a complete guidebook to building a healthy nontoxic home

Toxic chemicals, mold and electromagnetic fields (EMFs) are common sources of chronic health problems

Elevated EMF is typically the result of improperly grounded electrical systems due to inept electricians. One way to avoid this is to measure the EMFs before you consider purchasing or renting, because it is far easier, and far less costly, to find a home that’s acceptable from the start than it is to remediate

Also get general air testing done before buying or renting to check for chemicals and mold. There are several labs and industrial hygienists who can collect air samples that can then be tested for hundreds of potential pollutants, including mold

A Surprising Reason Why You May Need More Carbs in Your Diet

A ketogenic diet can be very useful initially when transitioning people who are metabolically inflexible. However, continuing in ketosis long term can lead to problems, including stubborn weight gain or the inability to lose unwanted weight

The reason for this has to do with cortisol. Your body needs glucose, and when deprived for too long, your body will release cortisol to stimulate the production of glucose by your liver. Cortisol also promotes inflammation and central obesity, so you don’t want chronically elevated cortisol levels

Your metabolic rate is strongly affected by the type of sugar you consume. High fructose corn syrup promotes ill health while whole fruit, raw honey and pure organic cane sugar are readily metabolized without promoting weight gain

When adding in more carbs, you also need to reduce your fat intake to avoid elevating your triglycerides

Restricting dietary fat and/or blocking the oxidation of fat inside of the cell have strong therapeutic effects against cancer by forcing the cell out of its excessive fatty acid oxidation state

Vitamin K Protects Against Diabetes

Canadian researchers identified a protective role vitamin K plays against diabetes following past research implicating vitamin K in the development of the disease. Diabetes was the seventh leading cause of death in 2017 and total health care costs were $327 billion in 2019

The researchers found vitamin K in large quantities in beta cells where insulin is produced and discovered it plays an important role in maintaining calcium, which prevents a disturbance in insulin secretion

Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin and important to lowering the inflammatory response, bone metabolism, preventing mineralization of the arterial system, and preventing heart attack, stroke, peripheral vascular disease and cancer

Other important factors in the development of diabetes include carbohydrate intake, artificial sweeteners, seed oils and statin medications. Addressing these factors as well as increasing omega-3 fat consumption and ensuring you are not deficient in vitamin C and magnesium can also help prevent diabetes

NOTE: Research also indicates the best daily Vitamin K requirement can be obtained from eating a ½ cup per day of boiled collard greens, boiled turnip greens, raw spinach, raw kale, cooked broccoli, dry roasted cashews and blueberries. The first four items can be grown in your garden. See this article from the Cleveland Clinic: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/foods-high-in-vitamin-k/

UK Government Denies Targeting COVID-19 Policy Critics On Social Medis

The UK government is facing renewed pressure to shut its Counter Disinformation Unit (CDU) after the unit was accused of tracking the activities of vocal critics of COVID-19 policies when flagging so-called disinformation.

The government has denied targeting individuals, saying the unit was banned from flagging journalists and MPs to social media platforms.

The CDU, which was set up on March 5, 2020, monitors online narratives and trends, and has worked “closely with social media platforms to quickly identify and help them respond to potentially harmful content on their platforms,” including “removing harmful content in line with their terms and conditions, and promoting authoritative sources of information,” according to government ministers.

The Telegraph on June 2 accused the unit of secretly monitoring the activities of critics of the government’s COVID-19 policies such as lockdowns, school closures, mask mandate, and the proposed vaccine passport.

According to the report, documents released through Freedom of Information and data protection requests showed the CDU had flagged 24 social media comments by Molly Kingsley, who founded the children’s welfare campaign group UsForThem in response to school closures, and one post on Twitter by Dr. Alexandre De Figueiredo, a research fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, who opposed the mass COVID-19 vaccination of children.

The report said De Figueiredo’s tweet was first flagged by Logically, an artificial intelligence firm the CDU used to trawl the internet. Another government unit, the now-defunct Rapid Response Unit (RRU), was said to have “logged” articles written by Carl Heneghan, director of Oxford University’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine.

The report also said the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport, in which the CDU was embedded at the time, had a “trusted flagger” status on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, meaning the companies would fast-track their requests for content moderation.

The RRU, which also was set up in March 2020, was closed last year, while the CDU operates now within the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology.

A government spokesperson denied that individuals had been targeted.

FDA Revokes Authorization for J&J COVID-19 Vaccine

Just three COVID-19 vaccines are available in the United States after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on June 1 revoked the authorization for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Regulators made the move because of a request from Janssen, the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary that makes the vaccine.

“[Janssen] has informed the FDA that the last lots of the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine purchased by the United States government have expired, that there is no demand for new lots of the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine in the United States, and that Janssen Biotech, Inc does not intend to update the strain composition of this vaccine to address emerging variants,” Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, wrote in a letter to Janssen executive Ruta Walawalkar.

The FDA granted emergency authorization for vaccines from four companies during the COVID-19 pandemic: Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Novavax. Johnson & Johnson was authorized in February 2021, giving Americans an alternative to the messenger RNA vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer.

As those vaccines have increasingly been shown to be unable to protect against infection and severe disease, the companies have updated the composition to try to recover some of the effectiveness. But Janssen chose to not do so, perhaps because U.S. officials limited the availability of the vaccine in 2022 after determining that it causes a life-threatening combination of blood clotting and low platelet levels, a condition called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS).

Report 38: Women Have Two and a Half Times Higher Risk of Adverse Events Than Men. Risk to Female Reproductive Functions Is Higher Still.

The Pfizer documents demonstrate a strong signal that women have far more adverse events than males, particularly when considering reproductive organs and function. Primary source material from Pfizer shows a strong, sex-linked Adverse Event (AE) difference. Two major data collections, Reissue of Pfizer’s “5.3.6 Cumulative Analysis of Post-Authorization Adverse Event Reports of PF-07302048 (BNT162B2) Received Through 28-FEB-2021” and “APPENDIX 2.1 Cumulative Number of Case Reports (Serious and Non-Serious, Medically Confirmed and Non Medically-Confirmed) from Post-Marketing Data Sources, Overall, by Sex, Country, Age Groups and in Special Populations and Summary Tabulation by Preferred Term and MedDRA System Organ Class,” show substantially greater numbers of Adverse Events in women contrasted with men. This signal is particularly strong for the reproductive organs and their functions. Women have approximately three times the risk of Adverse Events than do males, and the specific risk to the reproductive organs and their functions is even stronger.

Two large data sets in the Pfizer confidential document collection, released pursuant to a court order, report consistent sex differences in the absolute number and percentage of Adverse Events (AEs) and Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESI). This report will examine primary source documents that collect Adverse Events at two points in time – February 28, 2021, the end of first two and a half months following widespread inoculation with Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, and then at a second time ending on March 15, 2022.

Pulling Back the Curtain: mRNA Lipid Nanoparticle Design Created Potential for Clotting and Triggering Immune Overdrive

In this series, “Promise or Peril: Alarming COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Issues,” we explore how the introduction of mRNA technology lacked an adequate regulatory framework, setting the stage for serious adverse events and other concerns related to inadequate safety testing of lipid nanoparticles, spike protein, and residual DNA and lipid-related impurities, as well as truncated/modified mRNA species.

Previously: We introduced how the FDA relaxed the rules for mRNA vaccines compared to mRNA therapies. We also discussed the available data for LNP distribution throughout the body based on animal testing and the fact that human testing was not done. Finally, we discussed the lack of biodistribution data on the mRNA and its encoded spike protein contained in the COVID mRNA vaccine.

We will now discuss how the LNPs are constructed and how they behave in the body. The engineering of these molecules must keep the capsule stable during transit but also allow it to dissolve quickly once injected.

If the LNPs are too stable, they may move throughout the body to distant organs instead of disintegrating locally at the injection site as intended. Other properties of the LNPs also affect the likelihood of adverse events, such as their electrical charge and their tendency to cluster.

YouTube Reverses Policy on Censoring Claims of Stolen 2020 Election

YouTube has announced it’s doing a U-turn on censoring content about U.S. elections, with the platform saying it will no longer delete posts questioning the results of the 2020 presidential election, including claims of widespread voter fraud.

The company made the announcement in a blog post on Friday, which comes about two months after it reinstated former President Donald Trump’s YouTube account.

Trump’s account on YouTube was suspended in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, which came as the former president alleged that the 2020 election had been stolen.

YouTube established its “elections misinformation” policy in December 2020, and on Friday said that in the time since it was imposed, the company had removed tens of thousands of videos.

“We carefully deliberated this change,” YouTube said, citing a “changed landscape” in which the 2024 election campaign is in full swing and that removing election-related content could stifle political speech.

“In the current environment, we find that while removing this content does curb some misinformation, it could also have the unintended effect of curtailing political speech without meaningfully reducing the risk of violence or other real-world harm,” the company said.

IN-DEPTH: Disney’s LGBT Sponsorship Continues to Embolden, Facing Criticism

The “Happiest Place On Earth” is again facing national criticism for its controversial promotion of LGBT expression around children.

On May 31, a viral video revealed a male cast member dressed in woman’s clothing working with little girls at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland Park.

Taking its name and overall inspiration from Walt Disney Animation’s feature film “Cinderella” and the Fairy Godmother’s magic words, which triggers Cinderella’s “rags to riches” transformation, the boutique is a long-established extra-cost service that gives guests under 12 the opportunity to dress up like their favorite princess. Boys also have the opportunity to be transformed into Prince Charming or a knight.

Until now, the boutique was operated by an all-woman staff with the title of Fairy Godmother. But this video coming out of Disneyland appears to prove those days are over. And while integrating men into the Disneyfied beauty parlor may not ruffle too many feathers, the video shows that this obviously male Disneyland cast member was dressed like a woman—makeup, dress, and all.

The video was posted to TikTok as a mom showed her daughter getting the princess treatment.

Walmart to Offer Pride Merchandise Despite Controversies

Walmart is continuing to provide LGBT products as part of Pride Month, the firm said on Wednesday amid a consumer backlash against multiple brands aligning with such ideologies.

“We haven’t changed anything in our assortment,” Latriece Watkins, Walmart’s chief merchandising officer, said on May 31, according to Reuters. Watkins’ statement comes following a backlash against Target after the retailer launched LGBT items, including some targeted at kids. In late May, Target announced that it was removing some of the controversial items and insisted there were “threats” facing the company’s team members. But things are different with Walmart, Watkins said.

“When we think about security … we have not done anything in particular differently related to security in our stores,” he added.

Walmart has been offering Pride products at thousands of its stores across the United States. The company has released T-shirts with slogans like “Gay AF,” “Woke Up Gay Again,” and “Some People Are Gay.” The retailer also has introduced onesies for infants with slogans like “I Love My 2 Moms” and “Proud Love.”

As part of its “Pride & Joy” collection, Walmart is offering LGBT-friendly trinkets and accessories like pins, flags, tote bags, and more.

A controversial product being offered by Walmart is a “breathable” chest binder aimed at “trans, lesbian, and tomboys.” The binder, offered online, features pictures of a young girl modeling the product.

Chest binders are used by girls to compress their breasts in order to create a masculine appearance.

“We’ve backed #Target into a corner for selling #Pride merch in the children’s section. Now we go for #Walmart. These woke companies need to know that enough is enough. Not ONE MORE [expletive] DAY. They’re NOT GETTING our kids,” journalist Breck Worsham said in a May 24 tweet.

Looney Tunes Uses Bugs Bunny to Celebrate Drag Queens for Pride Month: ‘Get Your Drag On’

Looney Tunes — the classic children’s animated brand from Warner Bros. — is celebrating Pride Month by encouraging people to dress up as drag queens.

In a tweet Thursday, which was the first day of Pride Month, the official Looney Tunes Twitter account posted a tribute to Bugs Bunny in various states of female attire — though noticeably not from his turn as Brunnhilde in “What’s Opera, Doc?”

“Happy Pride, get your drag on,” Looney Tunes wrote.

Bugs Bunny has frequently donned disguises as part of the character’s many adventures, dressing both as male and female.

This isn’t the first time a Warner Bros. Discovery property has promoted drag queens.

Last month, the long-running animated TBS series American Dad! officially celebrated drag “herstory” in a new video that marked the show’s 350th episode by naming the alien character Roger as a “drag icon.”

Glamour Magazine Puts Pregnant Transgender ‘Man’ on June Cover for Pride Month

The British version of Glamour, a fashion magazine for women, has put a pregnant transgender “man” on its June cover in recognition of Pride month.

Logan Brown is a biological woman who now identifies as a “man.”

As Glamour tells it in its cover story, Brown unexpectedly became pregnant by her partner Bailey J Mills, who is a gender “non-binary” drag performer.

Clothier L. L. Bean has now capitulated to the woke mob and is selling PRIDE gear:

Fox News Feels the Pain One Month After Tucker Carlson’s Exit

Fox News has seen its primetime ratings decline year-over-year in May since Tucker Carlson’s sudden departure about six weeks ago, according to an analysis.

Nielsen ratings show that the network has seen a 37-percent year-over-year decline to 1.42 million during the primetime hours of 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., according to reports from Mediaite and Deadline Hollywood. Left-wing competitor MSNBC saw its ratings increase to 1.16 million primetime viewers, or a 14-percent gain year-over-year, in May.

The clear No. 3 was CNN, which saw its primetime ratings shrink to 494,000 viewers last month. According to the reports, it represents a 25-percent year-over-year decline, compared with May 2022.

Fox, meanwhile, averaged some 135,000 viewers in the coveted 25–54 age demographic that advertisers often target during the primetime hours, the analysis shows. That’s a 62-percent year-over-year decline. MSNBC had 120,000 demographic viewers, or a 14 percent increase year-over-year, while CNN saw a 25 percent drop to 113,000 viewers in that demographic.

In comparison, Fox News averaged some 2.09 million primetime viewers in the first quarter of 2023. That was likely due to Carlson’s influence, as the former host would routinely draw more than 3 million viewers during his 8 p.m. ET show.

Since Carlson’s departure, Fox News spokespeople have told The Epoch Times that Fox is still the No. 1 overall rated cable news channel.

OPINION: Comparing Trump to DeSantis and what each really represents … which is the “lesser of two evils”?  To Vote for a President Who Can’t Prove His Independence from “The Establishment” is Voting for Civil War!

It is imperative that voters understand the critical importance of electing a president who is independent of “The Establishment”, what I refer to in more descriptive terms as the Parasitic Super- Rich Ruling Class,(PSRRC).

I will explain this problem by comparing the circumstances of Governor Ron DeSantis to those of President Donald Trump.

‘Politicized’: Republicans Decry DOJ Lawsuit Against GOP Senate Candidate’s Business

Republicans are criticizing the Department of Justice (DOJ) for its lawsuit against the coal enterprise of West Virginia Governor Jim Justice II, who is mounting a Senate bid against embattled incumbent Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.).

The DOJ announced that it would be pursuing a suit against Justice’s 13 coal companies for unpaid court fines and reclamation fees in a May 31 press release.

Named in the suit is James Justice III, the governor’s son who took over running the companies after Justice II was elected as governor.

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) told The Epoch Times that the DOJ’s suit against the younger Justice seemed “politicized” since Justice has decided to run for Senate.

“Governor Justice said yesterday, if I’m not mistaken, that they would, you know, they are going to pay whatever they would pay the obligations. But I mean, it seems kind of politicized to me, since Justice has decided to run for Senate.”
