“Not A Crisis. It’s An Invasion”: Massive Migrant Caravan Prepares To Storm US Border

While everyone is laser-focused on World War III threats across the Middle East, President Biden’s border crisis is only worsening as a new migrant caravan departed from southern Mexico on Monday and is headed north to the US southern border.

According to Reuters, 5,000 migrants from Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, and Venezuela are on foot near the city of Tapachula near the Guatemalan border.

One of the caravan’s organizers, Irineo Mujica, told Reuters that civil protection officials and ambulances are escorting the migrants.

Mujica said the migrants departed from Tapachula over their inability to secure humanitarian visas. He added that some migrants had asked local authorities to help with recovery efforts in the hurricane-stricken port of Acapulco in trade for visas. Authorities responded with “No.”

Videos are flooding ‘free speech’ platform X, showing the massive migrant caravan.

A new law is about to kill free speech and democracy in Australia

A bill on fighting “misinformation and disinformation” and “harm” aims to empower a government agency to police online expression

The Australian Government has recently introduced in Parliament a new law proposal to ban officially unapproved online content. Digital companies are expected to adopt a code of conduct which will see them censor speech based on broad, vague and far-reaching directives.

The Communications Legislation Amendment (Combating Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023 foreshadows the imposition of a legal obligation on digital platforms to police alleged ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’. If that does not work, the law proposal provides for the full empowerment of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) to directly intervene for the purpose of preventing ‘harm’.

Section 2 of the proposed legislation defines ‘harm’ as follows:

  • (a) hatred against a group in Australian society on the basis of ethnicity, nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or physical or mental disability;
  • (b) disruption of public order or society in Australia;
  • (c) harm to the integrity of Australian democratic processes or of Commonwealth, State, Territory or local government institutions;
  • (d) harm to the health of Australians;
  • (e) harm to the Australian environment;
  • (f) economic or financial harm to Australians, the Australian economy or a sector of the Australian economy.

The concept of ‘harm’ peddled by the bill is illusory, and its content would be subjectively determined by a powerful government agency. The definition of what is and what isn’t harm is malleable and can expand and contract depending on ACMA’s prevailing views. Ultimately, any type of speech with which the government is uncomfortable could be deemed ‘harmful’. For example, describing “disrupting social order” as serious harm could be interpreted to stop the organization of legitimate political protests. This could certainly be used to suppress legitimate political speech that should be part of a functioning democracy.

Above all, ACMA would gain sweeping powers to require any person to appear at a time and place of its choosing to answer questions about misinformation or disinformation. These powers include infringement notices, remedial directions, injunctions and civil penalties, including fines of up to AU$550,000 (US$358,000) for individuals and AU$2.75 million for corporations. Criminal penalties, including imprisonment, may also apply in cases of alleged “extreme harm.”

Pentagon Acknowledges Flying Drones Over Gaza to Help With Hostage Search

The UAV flights carrying out surveillance missions were first spotted by online flight trackers.

The U.S. military has been flying unarmed surveillance drones over Gaza as Washington tries to gather information about American and other hostages taken by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, the Pentagon confirmed on Nov. 3.

Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Patrick S. Ryder said in an emailed statement to Air & Space Forces Magazine that the United States has been flying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Gaza after Hamas launched its brutal Oct. 7 surprise attack on Israel that killed more than 1,400 people, most of them Israeli civilians celebrating a Jewish holiday.

“In support of hostage recovery efforts, the U.S. is conducting unarmed UAV flights over Gaza, as well as providing advice and assistance to support our Israeli partner as they work on their hostage recovery efforts,” Brig. Gen. Ryder said.

Blinken to Travel to Turkey After Visiting Iraq in Bid to Prevent Gaza Spillover

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken paid an unannounced visit to Iraq on Sunday, as he tours the Middle East attempting to tamp down tensions after war erupted between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group last month.

After an earlier visit to the West Bank, Mr. Blinken landed in Baghdad on Sunday evening for his first visit to the country as the U.S. top diplomat and held talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani.

Washington wants to prevent a wider regional conflict and has stepped up diplomacy with regional countries.

Mr. Blinken landed at Baghdad’s international airport, donned a ballistic vest and traveled by Black Hawk helicopter to the Green Zone, a remnant of the U.S. occupation of Iraq after its 2003 invasion. At the U.S. ambassador’s residence he was briefed on threats to U.S. facilities, before heading to the prime minister’s office.

He will travel to Turkey later on Sunday, where protests were already underway.

The Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah terrorist group issued a warning on Saturday night that the expected Blinken visit would be met with “an unprecedented escalation.”

Turkey: Police Tear Gas Pro-Hamas Mob Trying to Storm U.S. Airbase

Police near the Incirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey, used tear gas and water cannons on Sunday to prevent a pro-Hamas Islamist mob from storming the facility that houses U.S. troops.

The mob was an offshoot of a protest against America and Israel — and in favor of the jihadist terrorist organization Hamas — convened by the Turkish Islamist Group the “IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation.” IHH convened what it called a “Freedom Convoy for Palestine” on Sunday to coincide with, and protest against, a visit by American Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Turkey this weekend.

The head of the IHH, Bulent Yildirim, delivered remarks urging attendees at his event not to attack police, claiming that police officers agreed with his organization’s pro-Hamas sentiment and were limited in what they could do to attack Israel. Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency reported that Yildirim was also tear-gassed during the mob’s attempts to attack the base.

“Friends, it is wrong to throw rocks or do similar things because both the police and soldiers would want to go to Gaza and fight and they will go when the time comes,” Reuters quoted Yildirim as saying.

Philippines radio journalist shot dead during live broadcast

Killer of Juan Jumalon, 57, pretended to be a listener to enter home studio in Misamis Occidental province

A radio anchor in the southern Philippines has been fatally shot in his studio in a brazen attack witnessed by people watching the programme live on Facebook.

The gunman gained entry to the home-based radio station of Juan Jumalon, a provincial news broadcaster known also as DJ Johnny Walker, by pretending to be a listener. He then shot him twice during a live morning broadcast in Calamba town in Misamis Occidental province, police said.

The attacker snatched the victim’s gold necklace before fleeing on a motorcycle with a companion who had been waiting outside, police said. An investigation is under way to identify the gunman and establish if the attack was work-related.

U.S. NEWS, POLITICS & GOVERNMENT

WATCH: Anti-Israel Protesters Try to Storm White House, Demand Destruction of Israel

A group of anti-Israel protesters who participated in a large demonstration Saturday in Washington, DC, attempted to storm the White House and chanted slogans such as “Allahu Akbar” while calling for the destruction of Israel in favor of a Palestinian state.

As Breitbart News reported, tens of thousands of protesters descended on the nation’s capital to demand a ceasefire in the war that Hamas started October 7 when it launched a terror attack on Israel that killed 1,400 people, most of them innocent civilians:

Saturday’s protesters chanted “Free Palestine” and “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free” as they called for ceasefire in Gaza and a stop to Israeli aid from the U.S. The protesters then moved down a few blocks, where they stood in front of the White House and shouted, “Guilty,” while waving signs portraying President Joe Biden as a clown with the words “Genocide Joe,” and other signs calling Biden a “child murderer.”

Both “Free Palestine” and “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free” imply the destruction of Israel, and the genocide of its nearly 10 million Israeli inhabitants, as suggested by the Hamas attack.

There were reports of protesters desecrating and vandalizing war memorials in the vicinity of the White House as well

Nolte: Kamala Harris’ Stepdaughter Ella Emhoff Pushes $8 Million Gaza Fund

Democrats sure got it good.

Ella Emhoff is the stepdaughter of Kamala Harris through her father, Doug Emhoff, who married Harris in 2014. Doug Emhoff is also Jewish, but here’s his daughter out raising money for Gaza, the very people who allowed Hamas to govern them, the same Hamas that butchered, raped, beheaded, kidnapped, and desecrated 1,400 Jews on October 7.

Imagine the stepdaughter Franklin Roosevelt’s vice president raising money for Germans during WWII. This is no different, and people like Ella Emhoff should be blacklisted forever from polite society. All of these post-October 7 actions might be hidden behind virtue, but this is nothing more than a thinly disguised way of saying The Jews Had It Coming.

Comer Says He’s Preparing Biden Family Subpoenas After Finding 2 Payments to Joe Biden

‘The Biden families have fought us, but we’ve built a case that will win in court, and we’ve made it all the way to the personal bank records of the Bidens.’

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) has announced he’s ready to begin serving subpoenas to members of President Joe Biden’s family and the effort could move forward “in a matter of days.”

Mr. Comer indicated his subpoena plans during an interview with Newsmax host Eric Bolling on Thursday.

“This has taken a long time. Obviously, the Biden families have fought us, but we’ve built a case that will win in court, and we’ve made it all the way to the personal bank records of the Bidens,” the Republican lawmaker said.

Federal Authorities Announce Crackdown Targeting Fentanyl Dealers in San Francisco

Flanked by city leaders and local law enforcement officials, federal agents announced joint efforts, called “All Hands on Deck,” to stop fentanyl sales and reduce violent crime, in a press conference in San Francisco on Nov. 2.

“The Tenderloin [neighborhood] has become ground zero for drug tourism,” Brian Clark, Drug Enforcement Administration special agent in charge, said during the press conference. “On average, we lose three lives a day to drug poisoning from sales connected to this area.”

According to authorities, more than 620 overdose deaths have occurred in the city so far this year, in addition to another nearly 9,000 overdose incidents where the victim survived. As such, they said more needs to be done.

Appeals Court Freezes Gag Order Against Trump In Election Case

An appeals court panel has put a temporary hold on a gag order imposed on former President Donald Trump in a Washington D.C. election case.

A federal appeals court on Friday put a temporary freeze on a gag order against former President Donald Trump, whose legal team filed an emergency motion Thursday to lift the gag order while his appeal plays out before the court.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit issued an order on Nov. 3, requiring that the gag order imposed on President Trump by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan last month is “administratively stayed pending further order of the court.”

“The purpose of this administrative stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider the emergency motion for a stay pending appeal and should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits of that motion,” the appellate panel said in its decision.

Election Group Slapped With RICO Says It Can Prove Trump Won Georgia In 2020

Former Black Voices for Trump leader Harrison Floyd’s legal team intends to prove his innocence of claims he unlawfully participated in an election subversion plot in Fulton County, Georgia, by showing that former President Donald Trump won the state’s 2020 presidential election.

Mr. Floyd was charged on Aug. 14 alongside the 45th president and 17 other co-defendants with violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings, and influencing witnesses.

He was the only defendant to spend time in jail due to the indictment before he was released on bond on Aug. 30.

“Your Honor, this case isn’t about whether you or I think that Donald Trump lost the election. It’s about what Mr. Floyd believed at the time,” noted Chris Kachouroff, one of Mr. Floyd’s defense attorneys, at a Nov. 3 hearing before Judge Scott McAfee.

“It’s also [about] what the false statements are alleged to have been, and indeed, are they really false,” he said.

Jack Smith Finds Himself on Shaky Ground in Donald Trump Trial

Special Counsel Jack Smith‘s attempt to prosecute Donald Trump may be hindered by Supreme Court challenges to a charge cited against hundreds of people prosecuted over the January 6 attack.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has narrowly ruled in favor of the Department of Justice in two cases involving charges of obstruction of an official proceeding brought against suspects arrested over the Capitol riots in January 2021.

The first appeal involving former North Cornwall police officer Joseph Fischer was rejected in April. A separate appeal from former Rocky Mount Police Sergeant Thomas Robertson, who was sentenced to seven years in jail for five felonies—including obstruction of an official proceeding—in connection to the January 6 attack was thrown out on October 20.

The defendants argued that the obstruction count, formally known in the penal code as 18 U.S.C. 1512(c)(2), should not be used against them over the January 6 attack. Prosecutors argued that the attempt to disrupt the certification of the 2020 election result in Congress at the Capitol justifies the charge to “corruptly” obstruct, impede or interfere with an official government proceeding.

Ex-Trump Appointee Gets Nearly 6 Years in Jail for Jan. 6 Capitol Attack

Frederico Klein, a former State Department appointee of Donald Trump, was convicted of eight felonies following the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

A former State Department appointee was sentenced Friday to 70 months in prison for assaulting police officers during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Frederico Klein, who served as a politically appointed State Department official in former President Donald Trump’s administration, was convicted of eight felonies following a bench trial before Judge McFadden.

The DOJ stated that Mr. Klein, 45, a former U.S. Marine from Virginia, was part of the group of rioters who illegally entered the U.S. Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, 2021, and assaulted police officers.

Donald Trump set to testify in his own $250 million civil fraud trial

The outcome of the case could threaten the former president’s business empire.

When Donald Trump enters court on Monday, the former president will swap his chair next to his lawyers for a seat on the witness stand — sitting to the left of a judge he has called a wacko, feet from a clerk he has called biased, and directly across from a state attorney general he has called, without evidence, a dirty cop.

After more than a month of watching from the sidelines, Trump is set to be the star witness in his own $250 million civil fraud trial.

Sources tell ABC News that Trump spent Sunday evening in New York doing a prep session with his attorneys ahead of his testimony Monday. The sources described Trump as vacillating between fits of anger over the case and “in a good head space,” ready to get his testimony over with — with one source saying the former president “can be a good witness if he stays focused.”

Nolte: Trump Stomps Biden in 5 Crucial Swing States Per NY Times Polling

Former President Donald Trump tops His Fraudulency Joe Biden in five of six crucial swing states, per polling from the far-left New York Times.

Let’s get right to the numbers…

Nevada – Trump +11

  • Trump: 52 percent
  • Biden: 41 percent

Arizona – Trump +5

  • Trump: 49 percent
  • Biden: 44 percent

Pennsylvania – Trump +4

  • Trump 48 percent
  • Biden: 44 percent

Georgia – Trump +6

  • Trump: 49 percent
  • Biden: 43 percent

Michigan – Trump +5

  • Trump: 48 percent
  • Biden: 43 percent

Wisconsin – Hunter’s Dad +2

  • Trump: 45 percent
  • Biden: 47 percent

The left-wing profiteers and warmongers in NeverTrump are already in a panic:

Biden (allegedly) won all five of these states in 2020, so normally, I would be pretty skeptical of an 11-point lead in a blue-ish state like Nevada. But with Nevada (and Arizona) being a border state and Biden opening the southern border to millions of unvetted illegals hailing from the third world, I’m a lot less skeptical of those results.

This polling, like all the polling that has Trump doing better this year against Biden than he ever did in 2020, shows that Biden’s un-American attempt to put Trump in prison has failed and even backfired.

‘Go Home!’: Crowd Boos Asa Hutchinson for Suggesting Felony Conviction of Donald Trump

Failing GOP presidential candidate Asa Hutchinson was booed Saturday after suggesting that former President Donald Trump will be convicted of a felony.

The former governor of Arkansas, who’s polling at zero percent in the Republican primary race according to the latest Morning Consult data, was delivering a speech at the party’s Florida Freedom Summit when he came after Trump.

“As someone who’s been in the courtroom for 25 years as a federal prosecutor, and also in defending some of the most serious federal criminal cases, I can say that there is a significant likelihood that Donald Trump will be found guilty by a jury on a felony offense,” Hutchinson said.

Too Funny: Thief Is Forklifted 20 Feet Into the Air—While He’s Still in the Stolen Car

A quick-thinking forklift driver ruined an Ohio man’s plans to steal a car by lifting the vehicle 20 feet in the air with the suspect still inside. Only when he was trapped up there did they take the time to call the police.

It all went down in October at Arlington Auto Wrecking in Akron, Ohio. This was the third incident they had with this guy, but when they got him this time, even the 911 operators were cracking up when an employee called in the situation:

“So, he’s still in the car about 20 feet in the air in the loader,” the employee told 911.

“Wonderful, that is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard,” the 911 operator said with a laugh. “We, we will get somebody out to you.”

When police arrived and found the car in the air, one officer captured the moment on his bodycam. He explained to the others what the heck had happened after he returned to the station:

He broke into a car at the junkyard and before he could get out, he’s done it before, they got like the forklift and they had him like I’m not kidding like 20 feet off the ground, so when we got there we went right into custody.

The officers cracked up, too, just like the 911 operators.

Jeff Bezos Says He’s Moving From Seattle to Miami

The Amazon founder revealed he would be moving to South Florida for family reasons.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on Friday announced that he is moving from Seattle to Miami, joining other high-profile billionaire entrepreneurs who have made the move to Florida.

“I’ve lived in Seattle longer than I’ve lived anywhere else and have so many amazing memories here,” Mr. Bezos wrote on Instagram, including a decades-old video of him touring the “first office” of Amazon, which he started in his garage. “As exciting as the move is, it’s an emotional decision for me. Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart.”

Mr. Bezos said that “my parents have always been my biggest supporters,” and “they recently moved back to Miami, the place we lived when I was younger.” He added, “I want to be close to my parents, and Lauren and I love Miami. Also, Blue Origin’s operations are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral. For all that, I’m planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest.”

Anheuser-Busch Studio Head Exits Company Amid ‘Bud Light Situation’

A top executive at Anheuser-Busch left the company after the company’s Bud Light ‘brand crisis.’

Anheuser-Busch InBev’s studio chief departed the company and cited the Bud Light backlash as one reason why, she confirmed this week.

In April, Bud Light faced significant backlash and a boycott when it released personalized beer cans that feature a transgender social media influencer and activist. In the meantime, sales of the beer have dropped for consecutive weeks and appear to show no signs of abating.

Lauren Denowitz, the now-former studio head, wrote on social media that she has left the firm’s division and made note of the company’s branding “crisis.”

“With the Bud Light situation earlier this year, the company experienced its largest brand crisis in its several-hundred-year history. The impacts are being felt far and wide,” she wrote on LinkedIn, adding that the firm is “prioritizing resourcing shorter-term impact initiatives versus longer-lead-time strategic bets like brand entertainment.”

“While I am disappointed that a promising initiative with such momentum was cut short, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I was given,” Ms. Denowitz said.

Amazon Earned More Than $1 Billion Through Secret Price-Raising Algorithm: FTC

The e-commerce giant allegedly deployed a secret algorithm, internally known as “Project Nessie,” that raised the prices on its online store.

Amazon created a secret algorithm that helped the e-commerce giant generate an extra $1 billion dollars, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) alleged in a new court filing on Nov. 2.

In September, the FTC and 17 states filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon, but many details were withheld until Nov. 2, when a version of the lawsuit with fewer redactions was made public in the U.S. District Court in Seattle.

According to the new, less redacted complaint, Amazon allegedly deployed a secret algorithm, internally known as “Project Nessie,” that raised the prices of items on its online store and, in turn, across the market accordingly.

Knowing that many websites set their prices to match Amazon’s, the company allegedly developed Nessie to increase prices on products that other retailers would follow.

After outside retailers began matching or increasing their own prices, Amazon would continue to sell the product at an inflated price, the FTC alleged, which resulted in $1 billion in excess profit.

The FTC accused Amazon of turning on and off Project Nessie to avoid scrutiny.

Aware of the public fallout it risks, Amazon has turned Project Nessie off during periods of heightened outside scrutiny and then back on when it thinks that no one is watching,” it stated in the complaint.

“Project Nessie generated enormous profits for Amazon even though its higher prices caused Amazon’s unit sales to decrease. In 2015, for example, Project Nessie’s higher prices reduced Amazon’s gross sales revenue while increasing Amazon’s profits on those reduced sales by an extra $363 million. In 2018, Amazon estimated that Project Nessie increased Amazon’s yearly profits by $334 million.”

The FTC called the algorithm an “unfair method of competition” because it manipulates other online stores into raising prices, allowing Amazon to do the same.

San Francisco McDonald’s Shuts Down After 30 Years amid City’s Decline

A McDonald’s in downtown San Francisco, California, has shut down as the city grapples with numerous issues plaguing businesses in the area.

The fast-food location’s ownership, Scott Rodrick of Rodrick Management Group, had a negative view when speaking of the issue, Fox Business reported Saturday:

Office building vacancies, the environmental atmosphere of downtown sidewalks and a tepid return by tourists and conventioneers all drove the decision.

The economics of running a franchised restaurant in San Francisco continue to be a challenge, particularly in a downtown that is impacted by high office building vacancy rates and visitor trends that have not recovered since the pandemic. My Front Street location, without the benefit of parking and a drive-through, amplified the challenge.

Rodrick said his other locations are doing well after the coronavirus pandemic, but shuttering the downtown location was like “a gut punch.”

In May, San Francisco launched its first video advertising campaign in an effort to bring tourists back to the area after a long history of reports revealing its issues with crime, homelessness, and urban decay, Breitbart News reported.

Alleged Robber Dead After Shootout with Pizza Store Employee

An alleged robber was shot and killed during an exchange of gunfire Saturday night with an employee at Philadelphia’s George’s Famous Pizzeria.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that two alleged robbers entered the pizzeria around 8 p.m. “wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks.”

One of the alleged robbers was armed with a handgun and fired a round while trying to get behind the counter. One of the pizzeria employees then opened fire on the suspect, shooting the alleged robber multiple times.

Tyson recalls nearly 30,000 pounds of dino chicken nuggets

Nearly 30,000 pounds of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets are being recalled because they may be contaminated with metal pieces, the United States Department of Agriculture said Saturday.

The recall is for Tyson Foods’ 29-ounce plastic bag packages containing frozen, “fully cooked fun nuggets breaded shaped chicken patties” with a “best by” date of Sept. 4, 2024, officials said. The product was sent to distributors in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

One minor oral injury has been reported in connection with the chicken nuggets, according to the USDA.

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service noted it was concerned that some customers may still have the dino nuggets in their freezers.

The nuggets, which were made on Sept. 5, are in lot numbers 2483BRV0207, 2483BRV0208, 2483BRV0209 and 2483BRV0210.

More Fruit Pouches Recalled Due to Lead Contamination

Federal health officials are expanding an investigation into potentially lead-tainted pouches of apple cinnamon fruit puree marketed for children amid reports of more illnesses and additional product recalls.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday it has received reports of seven illnesses in at least five states possibly linked to contaminated puree.

Two new companies, Schnucks Markets of St. Louis and Weis Markets of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, announced recalls of certain cinnamon applesauce products because they may contain high levels of lead. WanaBana of Coral Gables, Florida, previously recalled all lots and expiration dates of its apple cinnamon fruit puree.

Widely used U.S. food additive banned in the EU linked to cancer, DNA damage

Children’s Health Defense describes titanium dioxide as “the most widely used whitening pigment in the world.”  But whitening properties aren’t the only impact of this common additive.

In fact, titanium dioxide has been associated with a wide variety of adverse health outcomes, including gut inflammation, cancer, and genotoxicity – also known as the capacity to cause chromosomal and DNA damage.  But despite this, American manufacturers are still allowed to use it frequently.

BANNED in the European Union, this food additive is EVERYWHERE in the United States

According to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a naturally occurring fine white powder.  In addition to being used in cosmetics (typically found in things like sunscreens, toothpaste, and pressed and loose powders), this compound is also used as a food coloring and whitening agent for everything from ice cream to bread, coffee creamer to white sauces, and candies to chewing gum.

But while it may be useful from an aesthetic standpoint, titanium dioxide has some serious potential downsides.  For example, two papers published earlier this year in Environmental Research and Environmental Pollution note that titanium dioxide nanoparticles, when consumed, have been shown to trigger gut inflammation and dysregulation of healthy gut bacteria – both of which could be contributing to the widespread issues of metabolic derangement and obesity.

In addition, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classifies the compound as a possible carcinogen (Group 2B), a category that includes progesterone-only contraceptives, radiofrequency magnetic fields emitted from cell phones, naphthalene (a key ingredient found in mothballs), and even certain professional industries including textile manufacturing, dry cleaning, and carpentry.  When ingested, titanium dioxide has been shown to quickly enter the bloodstream, where it can cause genotoxic effects on cells, potentially giving rise to everything from cancer to Alzheimer’s disease.

In light of this and other news, many countries have taken a strong stand against the widespread use of titanium dioxide.  The compound was outright banned as a food additive in 2020 in France.  In 2022, the European Union followed suit – 27 countries that no longer consider titanium dioxide safe for human consumption, thanks to the preponderance of data.

Not so for U.S. manufacturers, however.

Avoid these products if you want to avoid titanium dioxide

The United States historically lags behind its European neighbors in banning many food additives linked to harmful health outcomes.  It follows that titanium dioxide has NOT been banned yet in our country and that it’s actually used quite commonly here.

While the dose of any given additive certainly influences how harmful it can be, we do know that the standard American diet is HIGH in heavily processed foods that are filled with compounds like titanium dioxide … which means it is likely that many Americans are unknowingly exposing themselves to a significant amount of this potentially harmful compound.

Here are some popular items at your grocery store right now that are known to contain titanium dioxide:

  • Skittles
  • Starburst
  • Jell-O
  • Trident gum
  • Mentos
  • Duncan Hines Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Nabisco Chips Ahoy! cookies
  • CoverGirl Clean Pressed powder
  • Maybelline Fit Me concealer
  • Colgate toothpaste

Who knows when or whether the United States will step up and ban this and other harmful products from our consumer goods?  In the meantime, if you’re concerned, here’s our suggestion:

Go through your pantry and medicine cabinet and clear out any products that contain titanium dioxide, TiO2, or E171 (a common label for when it’s used as a food coloring) on its ingredients list.  Change your buying habits, read labels, and make sure processed foods are eliminated or make up a very small part of your regular diet.

How the End of Daylight Savings Time Can Impact Your Health

  • Daylight savings time impacts mental and physical health in various ways, including sleep, mood, alertness, and appetite.
  • The body’s circadian rhythm is strongly influenced by light. Seasonal changes can result in sleep disruption and mood changes.
  • To adjust to a new wake and sleep time, experts recommend maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and making the change gradually (5 to 10 minutes later each day until your body syncs up with the new time).

How our internal clock is tied to sunlight

The body’s internal clock is affected by environmental factors, including light.

“In mammals, including humans, the strongest time signal is light. The system that coordinates our sleep/wake rhythm is the suprachiasmatic nucleus which is in the anterior hypothalamus which is directly above the optic chiasm,” said Dr. Sara Benjamin, a clinical associate with Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Neurology and a part-time instructor in neurology.

Benjamin added: “This system receives light input from photosensitive retinal ganglion cells and then sends signals to other regions of the hypothalamus to regulate the timing of different body systems, including when different hormones are released, when we want to eat, and when to sleep or be awake. Light is one factor that influences our internal clocks, there is also a genetic factor that influences if we tend to be ‘night owls’ or ‘larks.’”

Human beings live in a 24-hour rhythm with alternating light and dark cycles.

We have a pacemaker (the suprachiasmatic nucleus) that regulates circadian rhythms in the brain and maintains a 24-hour cycle through a pathway involving the retina (back of eye) that is sensitive to light and dark, Dr. Nancy Foldvary-Schaefer, DO, MS, Director of the Sleep Disorders Center in Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute, explained.

Light stimulates wakefulness and dark stimulates sleep pathways and the release of melatonin, which is an endogenous hormone that promotes sleep.

Health effects of seasonal changes

The change in seasons impacts mental and physical health.

“Seasons bring changes in light and temperature that affect activity levels and mood,” said Foldvary-Schaefer. “In the realm of sleep and brain function, shorter, darker and colder days tend to bring more sadness and can worsen depression.”

Physically, this also can lead to more daytime sleepiness and fatigue, major symptoms of sleep disorders. People with insomnia and hypersomnia feel better in the summer months. Sunlight also stimulates vitamin D production, which is important for immunity, Foldvary-Schaefer stated.

It’s also important to look at this from a circadian perspective. Circadian misalignment can cause changes in sleep, cognition, mood, metabolism, immune health, cardiac function, and muscle strength to name a few.

“Summer is a time of bright daytime light and outdoor activities; this increases exposure to daytime light and promotes robust circadian alignment,” said Dr. Melissa Knauert, associate professor of pulmonary medicine at Yale School of Medicine. “Winter is a time of more limited daytime light and indoor activities which exacerbate the loss of exposure to daytime light; this loss of light weakens the circadian system’s alignment and thus contributes to dysfunction at the organ level.”

Takeaway

The end of daylight saving time can result in numerous health changes, most notably disruptions in sleep and mood.

Humans have a circadian rhythm that is directly impacted by light. When the seasons change, it can take time for the body to adjust.

To adapt to changing the clocks, experts suggest a regular sleep schedule and going to sleep a few minutes later each night to compensate for the hour difference.

The World’s Largest Biometric Digital ID System, India’s Aadhaar, Just Suffered Its Biggest Ever Data Breach

In one fell swoop, roughly 10% of the global population appears to have had some of their most valuable personal identifiable information (PII) compromised. Yet Aadhaar continues to receive plaudits from Silicon Valley.

An anonymous hacker claims to have breached the digital ID numbers, as well as other sensitive personal data, of around 815 million Indian citizens.

To put that number in perspective, it is more than 60% of the 1.3 billion Indian people enrolled in the government’s Aadhaar biometric digital identity program, and roughly 10% of the entire global population. Thanks to the breach — the largest single one in the country’s history, according to the Hindustan Times — the personal data of hundreds of millions of Indians are now up for grabs on the dark web, for as little as $80,000.

To register for an Aadhaar card, Indian residents have to provide basic demographic information, including name, date of birth, age, address and gender, as well as biometric information, including ten fingerprints, two eyeball scans and a facial photograph. Much of that data has apparently been compromised.

Media reports suggest that the source of the leak was the Covid-19 test data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), which is linked to each individual’s Aadhaar number.

The alarm was first raised by Resecurity, a Los Angeles-based cyber security company, which on Oct 15 included the following in a blogpost on its corporate website

AI Oligarchs Plans: Team With China, ‘Break’ Capitalism

No administration in history has been so thoroughly infiltrated by the influence-peddling industry than Joe Biden’s.

The entire world knows that Biden’s administration is for sale. From foreign governments to America’s tech and defense sectors, the money will stay flowing so long as Biden’s policies stay favorable to them. This is a running theme in nearly every chapter of my latest New York Times bestselling investigative book, Breaking Biden.

While Joe poses as a working-class guy, he is beholden to a class of aristocrats from ultra-wealthy enclaves on America’s coasts. Their partnership is what sustains Joe and allows for these elites to grow their wealth and power.

The latest—and by far the scariest—way Biden World intends to accelerate this trend is with artificial intelligence (A.I.). Earlier this week, Biden announced an A.I. executive order that contains the beginnings of a blueprint to create a permanent majority for the left-wing. Though it was framed as an effort to regulate the A.I. sector, Axios notes that “Biden’s approach is more carrot than stick.”

It appears as though the Biden administration’s first goals when it comes to A.I. is to use robots to enforce censorship of “misinformation” (i.e., normative conservative thought).

What’s more, this executive order will put America on the path to enshrining trendy woke opinion as cold-hard facts. The law “must advance the goals of ‘civil rights’ and ‘equity’ — aka, the left’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) framework,” Breitbart Senior Tech Writer Allum Bokhari wrote.

These are dog whistles to Joe’s base.

Next on the agenda will be a massive expansion of the security state in the name of freedom.

“The order commits to ‘ease AI professionals’ path into the Federal Government’ and offer expanded AI training to bureaucrats,” Axios summarized.

All of these new controls—designed by oligarchs and carried out by machines—will be all be sold to Americans as necessary to protect us.

Biden and Kamala Harris (his A.I. czar) are tasked with regulating this modern-day Wild West, but many of the most powerful people and entities they will be regulating are their biggest donors.

What could go wrong?

Everything actually.

NASA surprised to discover ‘dinky’ moon orbiting asteroid in close flyby

Lucy snapped a picture the asteroid named Dinkinesh, and it turns out the space rock has a dinky moon orbiting it

NASA’s Lucy spacecraft, which was launched in October 2021 to research Jupiter’s asteroids, snapped a picture of a smaller asteroid near Mars last week, which presented scientists with a shocking surprise.

The asteroid Lucy snapped a picture of is named Dinkinesh, and it turns out the space rock has a dinky moon orbiting it.

The Associated Press reported that the discovery was made when Lucy conducted a flyby of Dinkinesh in Mar’s main asteroid belt, nearly 300 million miles away.

The picture was reportedly taken when Lucy was 270 miles away from Dinkinesh, then sent the data and images back to earth.

The findings included Dinkinesh’s size, which was just barely a half-mile across, and its tiny moon, about a tenth-of-a-mile across.

The mission to snap pictures of Dinkinesh was a rehearsal for a much bigger mission, which is to look at the mysterious asteroids near Jupiter.

Millions of Utility “Smart” Meters Will Have to Be Replaced When 2G and 3G Networks Are Shut Off

Opposition to costly, privacy-invasive, and hazardous utility “smart” meters – electric, gas, and water – has been worldwide since they started being deployed over a decade ago.  Year after year, experts expose over and over again “smart” meters aren’t accurate, beneficial to consumers, essential for “energy efficiency” or safe (see 1, 2, 3, 4).

Earlier this year, issues and complaints started frequently being reported in the UK particularly regarding the forced installation of prepayment “smart” meters (see 1, 2).  Politicians also started expressing their concerns about higher charges and more disconnections.  In September, a survey revealed that UK consumers were experiencing increased anxiety after “smart” meter installation.  More recently it was reported that millions of UK “smart” meters will soon be obsolete and need to be replaced.  Of course, short life-spans seem to be the norm with these horrible devices.

Airports Biometric Check-ins Grow as US Eyes Security Check Adoption

Convenience is motivating people to use biometric identification at airports in the U.S., aviation industry leaders said in a webinar this week on educating passengers. Meanwhile, airports in Saudi Arabia, France, and Thailand are all in different phases of rolling out biometric check-in options at their airports to streamline and secure travel.

Industry leaders talk public education with Future Travel Experience

In a Future Travel Experience podcast on Thursday, industry leaders explored how to communicate the potential of biometrics at airports to bring a more secure, streamlined travel experience while ensuring privacy. The U.S. Transportation Security Administration is currently exploring the use of biometrics for identity verification at traveler checkpoints.

U.S. states like Iowa, California, and Arizona have recently expanded their digital ID programs to be more integrated into more areas where ID checks happen, like airports. TSA PreCheck allows individuals to authenticate using digital IDs at all checkpoints and allows users to opt out of the system entirely if they would rather go through the traditional verification process.

The agency is currently using the second generation of its credential authentication technology (CAT2), developed by Idemia. In addition to the ID fraud detection capabilities of the first generation, CAT2 performs one-to-one matching between a physical or digital ID and face biometrics, ensuring both that the ID is authentic and that the individual is the correct person identified.

While industry stakeholders may see the use of biometrics as a win for security and safety, “people are opting in because of that third element,” convenience, says Lisa Sullivan, VP of travel and transport at Idemia. “We always constantly think about that from the industry perspective. But consumers are really excited about the frictionless aspect of it.”

Red flag warning in effect for much of Hawaii

The National Weather Service has canceled the red flag warning for the islands of Kauai and Niihau, but it remains in place for the rest of the state.

“Conditions have improved over Kauai and Niihau due to increasing moisture from a front approaching from the north, so the warning has been cancelled there,” forecasters said after 8 p.m. “Conditions could improve on Monday over Oahu as well, if the frontal moisture makes it far enough south by then.”

GARDENING, FARMING & HOMESTEADING

Basic Winter Care for Livestock

Another summer has gone and school has started. I’m thinking about adjusting my driving schedule to avoid buses, heat for the house, my winter garden, and preparing my animals and their winter digs for the long, cold days and nights ahead. It’s a New England thing, we spend the warm days preparing for the cold ones. Brrr.. it’s cold away from the wood-stove, but winter doesn’t mean you can neglect livestock care. Quite the contrary. Preparing now can make it much easier once the snow flies. Here are some basic things to consider.

Animals in a closed barn environment during the winter months will still need fresh air, which means good ventilation. A warm, tightly closed barn may seem comfortable to us, it’s not so for livestock. Good air exchange is important to eliminate ammonia gas that causes respiratory problems. It also lowers communicable diseases associated with a close contact environment. Alternatively, drafts should be avoided.

Living areas will need to be cleaned of manure and wet bedding routinely, depending on the species. Chicken pens in late fall and in early spring, depending on stocking density, can be sufficient. Sheep and goats and other pebble makers can be bed packed so constant cleaning isn’t necessary. As for pigs, horses and cows, daily cleaning should stay on your chore list.

Proper exercise during the winter is also important. Make sure your animals have enough space to move around.

Think about obstacles and problems making animal care/daily chores difficult. How do doors open and close in relation to the snow? Did you have ample lighting? Is your walk to the barn at night dark, slippery, and dangerous? Now is the time to remedy these conditions.

If you pasture livestock during the winter, you need to provide a three-sided shed, the open end of this shelter should have a southern exposure. Your pastured animal doesn’t need a blanket if they have a good winter hair coat and adequate shelter. Keeping your animals “dry and out of the wind” works.

Meeting nutritional requirements for body temperature maintenance and growth during the winter months is important. Free choice, loose, salt and minerals are needed in addition to good clean water, plenty of hay and grain (depending on species). If you can, provide heat to the water, temperature should be around 50 degrees F.  This will increase your livestock’s winter water consumption, thereby aiding digestion, and preventing low-level dehydration. This is especially critical for lactating animals.

By feeding good quality hay, and I stress good quality, your livestock will begin the winter in good body condition. If they’re not in a “production stage” supplementing their diet with extra energy, grain is probably unnecessary. Check out our Extension fact sheets for specifics on feeding animals at different production states and understanding hay quality. Poor nutrition shows up quickly in the winter months.

2ND AMENDMENT

Divided Federal Court Upholds Illinois Ban on ‘Assault Weapons’

Split ruling could go to the U.S. Supreme Court.

A divided U.S. appeals court on Nov. 3 found Illinois’ new ban on “assault weapons” likely does not run afoul of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment.

The prohibition on buying, selling, and owning some semiautomatic guns, including AR-15s, was signed into law by Democrat Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker in January. Almost immediately, groups and individuals who said it was illegal brought legal challenges.

But plaintiffs have to prove that the weapons that were banned “are arms that ordinary people would keep at home for purposes of self-defense, not weapons that are exclusively or predominantly useful in military service, or weapons that are not possessed for lawful purposes,” U.S. Circuit Judge Diane Wood, an appointee of former President Bill Clinton, wrote for the 2–1 majority in the new ruling.

US Supreme Court Agrees to Take up Ban on Gun ‘Bump Stocks’

The high court will review a case challenging the legality of a controversial ATF rule.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday agreed to take up a case involving the Trump-era ban on “bump stocks” that was initiated in the wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting.

The justices agreed to hear arguments early next year over the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) rule, which was implemented in 2017. The case pertains to whether the Department of Justice, which oversees the ATF, followed federal law in changing the regulation around bump stocks, which are able to increase the rate of fire in some semiautomatic weapons.

Federal appeals courts have come to different decisions on whether the ATF regulation defining a bump stock as a machine gun accords with federal law. In 2010, under the Obama administration, the agency found that a bump stock should not be classified as a machine gun and therefore should not be banned under federal law.

COVID-19 Lockdowns Contributed to ‘Collective Trauma’ Among Americans: Psychologists

The American Psychological Association says that the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns caused mass trauma among adults that still persists today.

The United States is still reeling from the effects of COVID-19 lockdowns and other aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic as Americans have suffered a “collective trauma,” the American Psychological Association (APA) has said, citing a study.

While the national health emergency caused by the COVID-19 outbreak officially came to an end on May 11, in some ways the country hasn’t returned to “normal.” according to the organization.

The APA concluded in the results of its survey, released on Nov. 1, that there are “signs of collective trauma among all age cohorts” in the United States.

New COVID Variant ‘HV.1’ Has Surprising Mutations

The new variant is on the rise in the United States has features of Eris and 2022’s delta variant. What’s the impact?

A new COVID-19 virus variant, dubbed HV.1, has overtaken EG.5 (Eris) as the leading variant diagnosed in the United States, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) latest Oct. 28 report.

HV.1 has risen from 1.1 percent in early August to 25.2 percent of COVID cases. Meanwhile, EG.5 declined from 24.3 percent on Sept. 30 to its current share of 21.9 percent within one month.

Since the newest COVID booster rolled out—which was designed based on the XBB.1.5 variant—there have been two major variants that have replaced XBB.1.5 as the dominant strain in the United States. We will discuss the battle between vaccines and COVID variants in the next article.

Flu Shots Provide ‘Moderate’ Protection Against COVID-19 Infection: Study

Researchers also found that COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness waned over time.

Flu shots provide moderate protection against COVID-19 infection and could reduce the risk of hospitalization and mortality from the illness, according to a recent study.

The Oct. 31 preprint study, published on MedRxiv, looked at data from 210,136 individuals to estimate the effectiveness of influenza vaccine (flu shot) against COVID-19 infection during the Delta and Omicron waves. The study found that taking an influenza vaccine provided “moderate protection” against COVID-19 infection.

Researchers claimed that earlier studies suggested a “large degree of protection” against COVID-19 from the flu shot. However, “our study was conducted in a larger patient population, and we were able to control for a larger set of confounding factors, including comorbidity,” it said.

FDA Issues Alert on Wrong COVID Vaccine Doses for Children

The FDA issued an alert to health care providers about COVID-19 vaccine doses.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an alert to health care providers to administer the right dosage of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine to children amid reports that double doses were given to children.

“We are advising healthcare providers who administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to individuals six months through 11 years of age to ensure that the correct volume of the vaccine is withdrawn from the vial so that the correct dose is administered to the vaccine recipient,” the FDA alert said.

The FDA said it has since revised a fact sheet for health care providers on the mRNA vaccine to “further clarify that 0.25 mL should be withdrawn from the vial and that the vial and any excess volume should then be discarded.”

New Study Aims to Learn More About COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries

Researchers are estimating thousands of people will participate.

Researchers who hope to learn more about COVID-19 vaccine injuries have launched a new study.

“The primary goal of this project is to document the symptoms and treatments of vaccine-injured individuals. With enough participants, we hope to identify symptom patterns or clusters, and treatments that align with these symptom patterns or clusters,” Linda Wastila, director of research at the University of Maryland’s Peter Lamy Center on Drug Therapy and Aging, told The Epoch Times in an email.

“One of the most frustrating aspects of COVID-19 vaccine injury is the lack of medical and health acknowledgement, and the lack of knowledge of how to manage and treat symptoms,” she added.

Crotch Sniffing: Crude or Customary?

Some dog behaviors are super cute: that confused semi-turn of their head when you ask them a question or when they nuzzle into your body on the couch. Other behaviors, though, can be embarrassing and borderline rude — like when your dog tries to smell a stranger’s crotch while you’re out on a walk. Awkward!

Your instinct might be to suppress this kind of behavior, but it’s important to understand that crotch sniffing is perfectly appropriate in dog speak. Dogs are still dogs, even though you consider them part of your family. Understanding why they perform certain behaviors (like crotch smelling) will make it easier to know what’s normal and what’s not. Keep reading to learn what to do about a crotch-sniffing dog.

Born to Sniff

As a canine behaviorist and trainer, one of the questions I am asked frequently is “How can I stop my dog from sniffing everyone’s crotch?” As with all behavior modification, the key is to understand the root cause of the issue.

A dog’s most dominant sense is their sense of smell, and sniffing is one of their most natural behaviors. With a scent sensitivity many thousands of times greater than our own, dogs have a specialized structure within their nasal cavity called the olfactory recess. This maze of airways allows dogs to sniff odors that are undetectable to us. Dogs have 125 to 300 million olfactory cells (compared to our mere 5 million), and 33% of their brain is dedicated to interpreting odors.

Research by scientists at Pennsylvania State University showed that dogs have the incredible ability to take a different odor into each nostril and analyze it. They are a species of superior sniffers. Dogs make sense of the world through scents, much in the same way that people rely heavily on vision.

Why Do Dogs Smell Your Crotch?

First, it helps to understand the reason that dogs sniff each other’s bums: Dogs have pouches located on either side of the sphincter called anal glands or anal sacs. They are lined with oils and sweat glands, and they release an odor that is unique to each dog. When dogs take in the scent produced by these glands, they are able to gather a lot of information about the other dog including sex, age, health, mood, and wellbeing.

If we transfer that to humans, our sweat glands and the scent they produce is often most concentrated around our genital areas and armpits. As most dogs cannot easily reach up to our armpits, the crotch is the go-to area to get the information they need on a new person.

To a dog, crotch sniffing is not bad manners. Dogs have no idea that placing their noses into the crouch of a human is not socially acceptable. We need to teach them that when it comes to people, we would prefer an alternative method to get to know each other.

How to Put a Stop to Crotch Sniffing

It can be relatively easy to squash this behavior with consistency and heavily rewarding your dog when they choose not to smell someone’s crotch. While you can’t train out the innate behavior, it can be redirected. The key to training away unwanted crotch sniffing is to offer an alternative region for your dog to gather the information they want and gently block the current go-to area. Each time your dog attempts to crotch sniff, follows these simple steps:

  1. Give a clear instruction to stop and if necessary, include a previously learned command such as “wait.” For example: “No Rover, wait” or “No, Rover, look at me.”
  2. Offer a hand slowly and palm up for inspection, while turning the crotch away or blocking it with something. This area of the hand also carries a lot of sweat glands and can be sufficient to gather the information they need to satisfy them.
  3. Reward heavily with praise when your dog reacts to the hand. Training treats will also encourage sniffing hands rather than crotches. Timing, as always, is key. Give them enough time to sniff and then immediately offer the treat.

Great Dane Survives Multiple Surrenders, Gives Birth to a Huge Litter of 15 Puppies

A sweet-natured Great Dane who was surrendered multiple times has made headlines for giving birth to an incredible litter of 15 puppies. The shelter that took the pregnant pup into its care is determined that her next adoptive home will be her last.

Two-year-old Great Dane Meadow was taken in by Nicole Kincaid, founder of Raleigh-based dog rescue organization Perfectly Imperfect Pups (PIP), after she saw a post from Meadow’s former owner on Facebook. The last owner had adopted Meadow from an advertisement on Craigslist but didn’t want to keep her, as she’d discovered the dog was pregnant.

“I reached out immediately, and I said, ‘You know a pregnant dog should definitely not be given away, would you consider giving her to a rescue?'” Ms. Kincaid told The Epoch Times. “In reality, a dog that’s that far pregnant should not be meeting any new dogs, it’s stressful for her. She’s already hormonal, probably uncomfortable; she just needed a space to decompress.”

However, the owner surrendered Meadow to a different woman, who subsequently struggled to integrate the Great Dane with her other dogs. Two days later, Ms. Kincaid intervened, collected Meadow, and placed her with an experienced dog fosterer, Shari Wilson.

“She was a little bit skinny for being pregnant, in decent shape, but just not as healthy as we would have liked to see,” Ms. Kincaid said. “The next day she went to our vet, and the next day she gave birth, so we got her just in time.”

On Oct. 10, Ms. Wilson contacted PIP to inform them Meadow was in labor. After a little medication to help her along when she tired halfway through, Meadow welcomed 15 healthy puppies after over 24 hours: 13 boys (Otis, Felix, Cosmo, Scout, Finn, Duke, Winston, Bruno, Axel, Mack, Diego, Samson, and Buster), and two girls (Bailey and Fiona).

“Number 15 came out around 3:30 in the morning. [Ms. Wilson] actually had thought she was done, and took her out to go do potty, and the 15th puppy was born on her front lawn!” Ms. Kincaid said. “She cleaned off her puppies as she labored and started nursing right away. … She’s been a great mom to her pups.”

Although Great Danes have been known to have large litters, having 15 puppies was surely unexpected.

“Definitely not a world record, but it’s definitely a lot of puppies!” Ms. Kincaid said.

After obtaining Meadow’s medical history, Ms. Kincaid discovered PIP was her sixth home. The Great Dane had also given birth to a litter back in February, but, sadly, most of those puppies didn’t survive.

Ms. Kincaid believes the 2-year-old dog who has “been through a lot” will find her forever home with her next adopter because she’s “a wonderful dog and deserves the best.” She implores all potential Great Dane owners to research the breed thoroughly before committing since these big dogs can consume a lot of food and generally have large medical bills.

Driver of ‘Booty Patrol’ truck that resembled Border Patrol is cited in Florida

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office cited the driver for having lights resembling those of law enforcement. The vehicle read “Booty Patrol” on the back.

A Florida man was cited this week for driving a truck that was painted similar to the look of Border Patrol vehicles but read “Booty Patrol” on the back, authorities said.

The driver was pulled over Sunday and cited under a law that deals with prohibited vehicle lights that resemble those of law enforcement or other officials, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

On Monday, the sheriff’s office posted photos of the truck on social media to raise awareness about people impersonating authorities.

Photos of the white truck showed it had “Booty Patrol” on the back and side panels with a diagonal green stripe down the side of the cab.
