Texans Pass 8 Amendments to State Constitution, Including One That Strengthens Religious Freedom

Epoch Times – Texans hit the polls earlier in the week to pass all eight proposed amendments to the state constitution, including one that curtails the ability of government to restrict religious services, also during emergencies like pandemics, according to state authorities. The Texas Secretary of State has announced unofficial results of the vote, which took place on Nov. 2 and was required to approve the amendments, which were earlier passed as bills during the legislative session. Two of the propositions were created explicitly in response to COVID-19 restrictions. Proposition 3, which won the backing of 62.4 percent of voters, amends Article 1 of the Texas Constitution by adding a new section preventing the state, or any political subdivision of the state, from enacting any laws that prohibit or limit religious services, including ones conducted in churches, congregations, and other places of worship.

Federal Court Blocks Biden Administration’s Private Business COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

Epoch Times – A federal appeals court on Saturday blocked the Biden administration’s private employer COVID-19 vaccine mandate, asserting there may be constitutional issues with the requirement. “Because the petitions give cause to believe there are grave statutory and constitutional issues with the mandate, the mandate is hereby STAYED pending further action by this court,” a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said in the brief order. The halt of the mandate, which was unveiled this week, is temporary as the case moves forward. The case was brought by multiple businesses, including the American Family Association; multiple individuals; and several states, including Texas, Utah, and Mississippi. Petitioners said the mandate, promulgated as an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) by the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), should be struck down because it exceeds OSHA’s authority under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

Chinese Defector Reveals COVID Origin

Mercola – Li-Meng Yan, M.D., Ph.D., escaped from China to the United States to expose China’s cover-up of the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Yan, SARS-CoV-2 was made in a Chinese military lab. The Third Military Medical University and the Research Institute for Medicine of Nanjing Command discovered a bat coronavirus called ZC45. She’s convinced that ZC45 was used as a template and/or backbone to create SARS-CoV-2.

While the Chinese military may be responsible for the physical creation of the virus, there’s ample evidence showing the U.S. funded at least some of the research that resulted in this pandemic.

The COVID shots and the vaccine passports fit into the CCP agenda by making the whole world accept and adopt the CCP’s social control system.

Yan urges Americans to realize the destructiveness of communism, and to resist it in any way possible. This includes refusing vaccine mandates and vaccine passports

Dr. Mercola Files Lawsuit Against US Sen. Elizabeth Warren

Mercola – In early September 2021, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to Andy Jassy, chief executive officer of Amazon.com, demanding an “immediate review” of Amazon’s algorithms to weed out books peddling “COVID misinformation,” stressing that Amazon’s sale of such books was “potentially unlawful”.

Warren specifically singled out my book, “The Truth About COVID-19,” co-written with Ronnie Cummins, founder and director of the Organic Consumers Association (OCA), as a prime example of “highly-ranked and favorably-tagged books based on falsehoods about COVID-19 vaccines and cures” that she wants banned.
As a government official, it is illegal for Warren to violate the U.S. Constitution, and pressuring private businesses to do it for her is not a legal workaround.

Cummins and I, along with our publisher, Chelsea Green Publishing, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who wrote our foreword, are now suing Warren, both in her official and personal capacities, for violating our First Amendment rights and scaring book sellers into pulling and/or suppressing sales of our book.

Ironically, Warren’s claims of misinformation are themselves misinformation that puts lives at risk

US Cancels Contract With Major COVID-19 Vaccine Manufacturer

Epoch Times – The United States government has canceled a contract with Emergent BioSolutions, a major vaccine manufacturer that came under investigation after it was blamed for a bad batch of 15 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine. The Department of Health and Human Services and Emergent mutually agreed to end the contract on Nov. 1, the Maryland-based company said in an earnings report. The cancellation means the contract was reduced by about $180 million. The contract was reached in June 2012. It included manufacturing therapies for cancer and tuberculosis vaccines. In 2020, it was expanded to include manufacturing for third-party COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics. But Emergent’s work on a batch of drug substances for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was pinpointed as ruining some 15 million doses. Workers there mixed up ingredients for J&J’s shot and a vaccine from AstraZeneca.

What You Need to Know About Comirnaty

Mercola – Pfizer/BioNTech’s Comirnaty COVID shot was approved (licensed) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in late August 2021, but only for adults, and only when carrying the Comirnaty label. No other COVID shot has been FDA approved. However, Comirnaty is currently not available, and while the experimental, emergency use authorized (EUA) Pfizer shot is substituted for Comirnaty, the two products are clearly legally distinct and not the same

A licensed vaccine is not shielded from liability until or unless it’s added to the recommended childhood vaccination schedule by the CDC. So, if you were injured by Comirnaty, you could sue Pfizer. You cannot sue if injured by the EUA Pfizer shot (or any of the other EUA COVID injections).

Even though several hundred claims have been filed with the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) for injuries resulting from the COVID shots — which is the only possible avenue to obtain damages — not a single claim has been paid out

Natural immunity is much stronger than what you can achieve from the injection, which only provides antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and wanes within a few months. The shots may in fact permanently limit the kind of immune response you would make were you to later be exposed or infected with COVID.

Children’s Health Defense has filed a lawsuit arguing you cannot have a vaccine that is both an emergency use product and a licensed product at the same time. That’s against the law, but the government has done it anyway. Remarkably, the request for an injunction was initially thrown out, but the CHD has not given up and is still pursuing the case.

In this interview, Dr. Meryl Nass, an internist specializing in toxicology, vaccine-induced illnesses and Gulf War illness, shares her insights into the dangers of the COVID jab, which received an emergency use authorization October 26, 2021, for children as young as 5.

We also discuss the conflicts of interest within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that seem to be behind this reckless decision, and how the agency pulled the wool over our eyes with its approval of Pfizer/BioNTech’s Comirnaty COVID injection.

Truck Companies in Unprecedented Scramble to Find Spare Parts

Epoch Times – It’s a simple fact of life for the commercial trucking industry: without replacement parts, the big semis stop rolling. When the trucks stop rolling, store shelves across the United States won’t be refilled with products. “It’s getting horrible” simply finding parts to fix the long-haul trucks, said Patrick Benford, general manager at Rocky Mountain Truck Centers, in Flagstaff, Arizona. “We’ve run into a situation where parts are just not available.” “What we’ve started having to do is search anywhere [parts can be found]. We’re using vendors we’ve never had to before,” he said. Need a new water pump? That part could be weeks away on back-order. The same thing goes for any other part that uses a computer chip, due to a worsening global supply shortage of semiconductors. At Rocky Mountain Truck Centers, the big white Freightliner semi parked in the service bay needed a new clutch.

FBI Searches Home of Project Veritas Founder O’Keefe: Neighbors

Epoch Times – The FBI searched the home of Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe on Nov. 6, about a day after the agency had executed a search warrant at homes belonging to Veritas associates. In a statement to The Epoch Times about whether O’Keefe’s home was searched, an FBI spokesperson confirmed that “a court-authorized law enforcement action” was carried out “in furtherance of an ongoing investigation.” Representatives for Project Veritas didn’t immediately respond to a request by The Epoch Times for comment. O’Keefe hasn’t made any public statements on whether his home was searched and instead posted a video of himself reading a chapter from George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984.” O’Keefe neighbor Jimmy Maynes confirmed to local New York media that the Veritas founder’s home in Mamaroneck, New York, was searched by federal law enforcement agents, a process that lasted several hours. “They asked for James,” he said.

Biden Energy Secretary Confirms Americans Will Pay More to Heat Their Homes

Epoch Times – Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm confirmed on Nov. 7 that Americans should expect to pay more to heat their homes this winter than during previous ones. Responding to a question during an interview on CNN about whether consumers will be paying more, Granholm said that would be the case. “Yes,” said Granholm, a Democrat who’s also a former Michigan governor. “This is going to happen. It will be more expensive this year than last year. We are in a slightly beneficial position, certainly relative to Europe, because their chokehold of natural gas is significant. They’ll pay five times higher.” Granholm noted that the United States has “the same problem” regarding fuel transportation and supply before attempting to cast blame on oil and gas companies.

Aaron Rodgers and Prevea Health End 9-Year Partnership After His Comments on COVID-19 Vaccines

Epoch Times – Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, is ending a partnership with Wisconsin-based health care organization Prevea Health after nine years, the two parties said in a joint statement issued by the company Saturday. It comes a day after the footballer told the “Pat McAfee Show” he is unvaccinated and that he thinks the NFL rules regarding COVID-19 and vaccines “are not based in science at all.” The joint announcement reads: “Prevea Health and Aaron Rodgers have made the decision to end their partnership effective Nov. 6, 2021. “Aaron has been a partner of Prevea Health, serving as a spokesperson and supporting the health care organization’s health and wellness initiatives throughout Wisconsin, since 2012. “Prevea Health remains deeply committed to protecting its patients, staff, providers, and communities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,” the statement continues. “This includes encouraging and helping all eligible populations to become vaccinated against COVID-19”

NJ Senate President Steve Sweeney Won’t Concede to Truck Driver, Says 12,000 Ballots ‘Recently Found’

Epoch Times – Democratic New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney said he will not concede the election after it was projected that he lost to a truck driver who ran a low-budget campaign, telling local media that thousands of ballots were “recently found in one county.” “The results from Tuesday’s election continue to come in, for instance there were 12,000 ballots recently found in one county,” Sweeney told Philadelphia Inquirer and Politico late last week. “While I am currently trailing in the race, we want to make sure every vote is counted. Our voters deserve that, and we will wait for the final results.” His office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Associated Press had called Tuesday’s race in favor of Edward Durr, a Republican, for southwestern New Jersey’s 3rd legislative district.

Effectiveness of 2 of 3 COVID-19 Vaccines Used in US Drops Below 50 Percent After 6 Months: Study

Epoch Times – The effectiveness of the three COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States has declined in recent months, with protection against infection falling under 50 percent for two of them after six months, according to a new study. Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine dropped from 89.2 percent in March to 58 percent in September, researchers found. During the same period of time, Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine dropped from 86.9 percent effective to 43.3 percent, and Johnson & Johnson’s shot dropped from 86.4 percent to 13.1 percent. Dr. Stephen Hahn, the head of the Food and Drug Administration during the final portion of the Trump administration, said last year that the agency wouldn’t authorize COVID-19 vaccines that weren’t at least 50 percent effective against infection. Researchers also found that the vaccines’ protection against death waned after six months, particularly among older people.

Biden Admin ‘Prepared to Defend’ COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate After Court Ruling: Surgeon General

Epoch Times – The Biden administration is ready to defend a Department of Labor COVID-19 vaccine-or-test mandate for private businesses after an appeals court temporarily blocked it, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said in an interview on Nov. 7. A U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit panel ruled on Nov. 6 that there is “cause to believe there are grave statutory and constitutional issues with the mandate,” and stayed it pending further action from the court. The ruling came in a case brought by several businesses, individuals, and organizations, as well as Texas, Mississippi, Utah, and other states. The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) earlier this week unveiled an emergency temporary standard that requires private businesses with 100 or more employees to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination from workers and compel those that don’t produce it to submit to weekly testing.

California teacher’s alleged quiz question trashes conservatives, school investigating

Whitney High School teacher purportedly asked students to identify ‘a group of complete idiots’

Fox – A California high school teacher appeared to criticize conservatives in a quiz question given to students last week, prompting outrage from parents and a school investigation, according to local reports.

The quiz question asked students in a social science class at Whitney High School in Rocklin, a city located about 20 miles from Sacramento, to identify “a group of complete idiots.” The possible answers were given in a multiple-choice format as: “A) KKK; B) all of Florida; C) Fox news; D) Texans.”

Infrastructure Bill to Be Signed by President Biden Includes Tax Provision Concerning to Cryptocurrency Community

Epoch Times – On Friday, the House of Representatives passed a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill in a 228–206 vote, sending the legislation to President Joe Biden for his signature. The bipartisan infrastructure bill contains a cryptocurrency tax reporting requirement. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act would put $550 billion of new funding into transportation projects, the utility grid, and broadband. Including $110 billion for roads, bridges, and other major projects, along with $66 billion for passenger and freight rail, and $39 billion for public transit. There is a component within the bill for the crypto industry that seeks to expand the definition of a broker for IRS purposes. There is a high possibility that that definition could be too broad, capturing entities like miners and other parties that don’t facilitate transactions.

COVID Boosters Likely to Be Annual ‘For the Foreseeable Future’: Pharmacy Guild of Australia

Epoch Times – Australians will need to get COVID booster shots annually “for the foreseeable future” to combat CCP Virus, according to the country’s Pharmacy Guild. Trent Twomey, the president of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (PGA), warned that people may need to get booster shots every 6 to 12 months to keep more deadly variants at bay. “The question is what booster and what interval we need to get that booster, whether it’s every six, nine or 12 months. Those decisions need to be based on evidence and facts and at the moment that is an evolving space,” he told Nine newspapers. Twomey noted that Australians may need to wait until 2023 to “reach some sort of steady-state vaccination program,” which will be similar to the annual flu shot.” “In time, we will treat COVID like many other viruses that have been around for decades

Thousands of Teachers in Australian State Suspended Over Vaccination Status

Epoch Times –  The state of New South Wales (NSW) has lost up to 4,900 teachers who have not been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and refuse to book an appointment to get jabbed. The news of the staff loss comes as the deadline for mandatory vaccinations for all teaching and non-teaching staff in NSW schools came on Monday. In a parliamentary hearing last week, the NSW Department of Education’s chief people officer Yvette Cachia said 4,900 teachers in schools had yet to submit their vaccination status as of Nov. 1, while 74,000 teachers have indicated that they are fully vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated have been told they will be given the opportunity to book a vaccination appointment immediately, but if they decide against it, their contract will be terminated.

COVID-19 Vaccination Mandated for Children in Puerto Rico

Epoch Times – Pedro Pierluisi, the governor of Puerto Rico, announced Wednesday that all school children aged 5 and older are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend school. Pierluisi claimed that few exceptions will be granted because the vaccines have been given approval for children from 5 to 11, according to The Associated Press. Health Secretary Carlos Mellado said that the goal was to get 95 percent of 5 to 11-year-olds fully vaccinated, or around 227,000 children.

Sen. Cruz Introduces Bill Prohibiting Vaccine Mandate for Minors

Epoch Times – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, introduced legislation that would prohibit the federal government and any entity at the federal, state, and local level that receives federal funding—including school districts—from requiring COVID-19 vaccines for minors. “Parents should have the right to decide what is best for their children in consultation with their family doctor,” he said. “My view on the COVID-19 vaccine has remained clear: no mandates of any kind.

Amazon Seeks US Approval to Deploy 4,500 Additional Satellites for Internet Project

Epoch Times – Amazon.com is seeking approval from U.S. communications regulators to deploy more than 4,500 additional satellites as part of the company’s effort to deliver broadband internet to areas around the world that lack high-speed service. Amazon had said previously it planned to spend at least $10 billion to build 3,236 such satellites through its Project Kuiper program. Late on Thursday it asked the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for approval to deploy a total of 7,774 satellites for the project. On Monday, Amazon asked the FCC for approval to launch and operate two prototype satellites by the end of 2022. Amazon said in its filing the satellites “will serve households, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations around the world, including in geographic areas where reliable broadband remains lacking.”

US Gasoline Prices Vault to New 7-Year High

Epoch Times – Prices of regular gasoline in the United States have risen to a new seven-year high, according to new data from AAA, as elevated crude prices and an uptick in gasoline demand put upward pressure on prices at the pump. As of Nov. 8, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the United States rose to a seven-year high of $3.422, up slightly from the previous day’s average of $3.421 and a penny more than the week-ago average of $3.402, according to AAA. Last week, gasoline demand rose from 9.32 million barrels per day to 9.5 million barrels per day, AAA said, citing recent data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA). “The slight increase in demand has contributed to price increases, while elevated crude prices continue to put upward market pressure on pump prices,” AAA said in a note.
