U.N. Security Council Passes Resolution Demanding Ceasefire in Gaza

Forty days after the savage Hamas atrocities of October 7, the U.N. Security Council (UNSC) on Wednesday passed a resolution demanding a ceasefire and calling for “the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups, especially children.” The resolution did not condemn the Hamas atrocities that started the war.

The UNSC resolution called for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors throughout the Gaza Strip” for a “sufficient number of days” until the U.N. can guarantee the “unhindered provision of essential goods and services.”

Green Agenda Driving Inflation and Hurting Economic Growth, Admits Central Banker

Leftist green agenda policies are driving up inflation, raising the cost of consumer goods and depressing economic production, a top policy advisor to the Bank of England has admitted.

Net Zero agenda items pushed by the so-called Conservative party in the UK such as taxes on carbon and emissions trading schemes are increasing inflation and worsening the wallet crunch for Britons as companies pass along the costs onto average consumers, Catherine Mann, a member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee has acknowledged.

Finland Accuses Russia of Weaponising Migration, Closes Border Crossings

Finland will close four crossing points on its long border with Russia to stop the flow of Middle Eastern and African migrants that it accuses Moscow of ushering to the border in recent months, the government said Thursday.

Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Interior Minister Mari Rantanen said the southeastern crossing points — Imatra, Niirala, Nuijamaa and Vaalimaa — will be closed at midnight Friday on the Finland-Russia land border that serves as the European Union´s external border.

High court annuls Germany using leftover Covid money for climate fund

Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s three-party coalition decided in 2022 to put the money — $65 billion — into the “climate and transformation fund.” The court ruled the move was unconstitutional.

Germany’s highest court Wednesday annulled a government decision to repurpose €60 billion ($65 billion) originally meant to cushion the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic for measures to help combat climate change and modernize the country. The ruling created a significant new problem for Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s quarrelsome coalition.

The money at stake was added retrospectively to the 2021 budget in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, under rules that allow new borrowing in emergencies despite Germany’s strict restrictions on running up debt.

Italy’s parliament approves ban on lab-grown food amid tensions

Italy’s lower house of parliament gave final approval for a law banning the use of laboratory-produced food and animal feed on Thursday as angry farmers confronted a group of centrist lawmakers opposed to the bill.

The proposal, already approved by the upper house Senate, passed by 159 votes in favour to 53 against, prohibiting the use, sale, import and export of food and feed “from cell cultures or tissue derived from vertebrate animals”.

Factories breaching such rules can be subject to fines of up to 150,000 euros ($162,700) and risk being shut down, while owners may lose their right to obtain public funding for up to three years.

Biden Gives Iran Access To $10 Billion After Iranian-Backed Hamas Terrorists Murder 1,200 Israelis

President Joe Biden’s administration allowed the Islamic Republic of Iran to have access to more than $10 billion in electricity revenues, which comes just weeks after Iranian-backed terrorists carried out one of the worst terrorist attacks in world history against Israel.

The decision to allow Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, to have access to the money has generated intense criticism since the money will likely go toward funding terrorism either directly or indirectly, since money is fungible.

Report: Joe Biden to Escape Charges for Mishandling Classified Docs

Special Counsel Robert Hur, who is investigating President Joe Biden for mishandling documents, is not expected to charge anyone, sources familiar with the matter told CNN and the Wall Street Journal.

The report suggests a double standard of justice. While there will reportedly be no consequences for Biden, Special Counsel Jack Smith indicted former President Donald Trump in June for mishandling classified documents.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Hur in January to investigate Biden after classified documents from his time as vice president in Barack Obama’s administration were found in his possession at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, DC, and at his Wilmington, Delaware, home.

John Earle Sullivan, activist who filmed Ashli Babbitt shooting, convicted on all counts

The Utah man told jurors he was protecting himself as a journalist when he repeatedly shouted support for the mob on Jan. 6, 2021.

A jury deliberated for approximately four hours before finding John Earle Sullivan, 29, guilty on seven counts. Sullivan was charged with four felony counts, including two for carrying a knife into the Capitol, along with multiple misdemeanors. After hearing the jury’s verdict, U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth ordered Sullivan into custody to await sentencing.

House Ethics Report Finds ‘Substantial Evidence’ George Santos Broke The Law

The House Ethics Committee released a report on Thursday on its investigation into New York Republican Rep. George Santos’ “potential violations of federal criminal law.”

Santos was arrested in early May on 13 charges related to fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds and false statements, and received a 23-count superseding indictment in early October for conspiracy and additional fraud, all of which he pleaded not guilty to. The committee reported that it uncovered “substantial evidence” that Santos “knowingly” committed fraud, while using campaign donations for “personal purposes,” among other findings that it referred to the Department of Justice.

“[The committee found] substantial evidence that Representative Santos: knowingly caused his campaign committee to file false or incomplete reports with the Federal Election Commission; used campaign funds for personal purposes; engaged in fraudulent conduct in connection with RedStone Strategies LLC; and engaged in knowing and willful violations of the Ethics in Government Act as it relates to his Financial Disclosure (FD) Statements filed with the House,” the report reads.

‘Reprehensible’: fury as Oklahoma governor backs cockfighting group

Republican Kevin Stitt denounced as an ‘embarrassment’ for recording video in support of Oklahoma Gamefowl Commission

The Oklahoma governor, Kevin Stitt, has been soundly denounced by animal rights activists after making a video in support of a cockfighting organization.

Stitt made a video in support of the annual meeting for the Oklahoma Gamefowl Commission, a group that has been working to reduce penalties for cockfighting in the state.

The former district director for the Gamefowl Commission was arrested and charged with a felony in August after authorities busted a cockfighting ring in the state, KFOR reported.

The Gamefowl Commission has donated to several Oklahoman politicians, including Stitt, in an attempt to lessen penalties for those participating. The Oklahoman newspaper said the organization had given over $70,000 to Oklahoma politicians, including $2,000 to Stitt.

Soros-Backed Prosecutor Faces Potential Criminal, Civil Charges: Missouri AG

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is looking for ways to hold ex-prosecutor Kim Gardner accountable. He needs to find her first.

What has been a “radical, left-wing social experiment,” according to Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, is over in St. Louis, and he said it’s time for attorney Kim Gardner to face the consequences of her actions.

On Nov. 14, Mr. Bailey filed a 53-page report on Ms. Gardner’s time as St. Louis’s circuit attorney. Ms. Gardner resigned in May under heavy public scrutiny.

Ms. Gardner was the first black woman elected to the office in charge of prosecuting offenses inside the city limits of St. Louis and began her term in 2017. She was reelected in 2020.

“She bragged about coming to office with a new approach to criminal justice focused on racial equity,” Mr. Bailey said in an interview with The Epoch Times. “She bragged about seeking to actively shrink the criminal justice system, and she did that by unlawfully refusing to do her job and let the criminals take over the streets.”

Nationally, Mr. Bailey said the Gardner report serves as a blueprint for how other states can address “rogue, Soros-backed prosecutors who, rather than protecting their victims, are creating more victims.”

“In a lot of major cities in the U.S., you have Soros-backed prosecutors who were like-minded with Kim Gardner,” Mr. Bailey said. “Any time you see that kind of dark money flowing into those races to buy those political offices, that creates enormous problems for the population.”

Loay Alnaji, 50, was taken into custody Thursday morning. The pro-Palestinian California college professor will be booked on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Kessler, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.

Paul Pelosi’s attacker was found guilty in a federal court on Nov. 16.

A federal jury on Nov. 16 convicted the man who was accused of attacking Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), with a hammer last year at the Pelosis’ San Francisco home.

Mr. DePape, 43, could face decades in prison.

During a several-day-long trial this week, Mr. DePape said that he was “sorry that he got hurt,” referring to the 83-year-old Mr. Pelosi. “I reacted because my plan was basically ruined.”

Councilwoman Kendra Lara (D) introduced the measure, which would allow foreign nationals on green cards, visas, and other forms of legal status to vote in Boston municipal elections. The measure is likely to gain widespread support from the council, which is made up of 12 Democrats.

Mistrial Declared After Federal Jury Deadlocks in Trial of Ex-Officer in Deadly Breonna Taylor Raid

Jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict on federal civil rights charges Thursday in the trial of a former Louisville police officer charged in the police raid that killed Breonna Taylor, prompting the judge to declare a mistrial.

Brett Hankison was charged with using excessive force that violated the rights of Taylor, her boyfriend and her next-door neighbors. Hankison fired 10 shots into the Black woman’s window and a glass door after officers came under fire during a flawed drug warrant search on March 13, 2020. Some of his shots flew into a neighboring apartment, but none of them struck anyone.

The 12-member, mostly white jury struggled fruitlessly to reach a verdict over several days. On Thursday afternoon, they sent a note to the judge saying they were at an impasse. U.S. District Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings urged them to keep trying, and they returned to deliberations.

NTD Reporter, Activists Attacked at Human Rights Protest Site During APEC Summit

A reporter for The Epoch Times’ sister media outlet NTD was attacked on the street while covering protests spotlighting human rights abuses in China during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

The incident unfolded on Nov. 15 near the intersection of Fourth and Market streets, a few blocks from the Moscone Center, where many APEC events were taking place. The attack, targeting NTD’s Jason Blair, was captured on his phone.

In an interview with The Epoch Times on the evening of Nov. 15, Mr. Blair said a man, likely in his 20s, attacked him for recording a video as the man tried to disrupt a demonstration held by adherents of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline involving meditative exercises and moral teachings that has been the target of a brutal persecution campaign in China since 1999.

Eric Adams Announces Funding Cuts For Cops, Schools To Pay For City’s Illegal Migrant Crisis

Democratic Mayor Eric Adams of New York City announced Thursday cops and schools would be subjected to budget cuts to pay for the city’s migrant crisis.

Adams announced that libraries would be closed on Sundays and the New York Police Department would freeze police hiring as part of the efforts to address the costs of housing migrants arriving in the city, according to The New York Times. The city is offering migrants free travel to any location as the number exceeded 130,000, but many say they will not leave the city.

“No city should be left to handle a national humanitarian crisis largely on its own, and without the significant and timely support we need from Washington, D.C., today’s budget will be only the beginning,” Adams said Thursday. The police force is expected to drop below 30,000 as a result of the cuts, The New York Times reported.

Republican Govs. Greg Abbott of Texas and Doug Ducey of Arizona began busing migrants to New York City and other so-called “sanctuary” cities in 2022.

Adams previously announced that a class of 250 school safety agents would not be hired Tuesday, asking parents to volunteer to fill the gaps created by the cancelled hiring.

Georgia judge issues order to prevent future leaks of sensitive evidence in Trump election racketeering case

The judge presiding over Donald Trump’s racketeering case over efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia has issued a protective order on sensitive discovery materials in the case.

In his order, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee wrote that a protective order was necessary in part because providing “parties the unfettered ability to share pretrial materials with the public undermines” the process.

The move comes a day after a hearing addressing the leak of key video evidence by a defense attorney for one of Trump’s co-defendants.

New York Appeals Court Lifts Gag Order on Trump in Fraud Trial

A New York appeals court has temporarily suspended the gag order imposed on former President Donald Trump that silenced him from commenting on court staff during his business fraud trial.

“The judge from the First Department of New York’s Appellate Division granted the request by Trump’s defense attorneys for an interim stay of the gag orders, citing the ‘constitutional and statutory rights at issue’ in a brief order,” reported NBC News.

Judge Rejects Request From Jack Smith in Trump Case

Special counsel Jack Smith’s request to set a new deadline for former President Donald Trump’s lawyers to alert the government of classified information they want to present during an upcoming trial has been turned down by a federal judge.

A former prosecutor says the move means the trial, currently scheduled for May 2024, will happen at a later date.

Mr. Smith’s team on Nov. 15 asked U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to set a deadline for President Trump’s lawyers to file a notice under the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA) noting that when Judge Cannon recently reset a number of deadlines she did not include a new date for the notice.

UAW ratifies labor deal with General Motors

General Motors’ (GM.N) tentative labor deal with the United Auto Workers (UAW) union has clinched ratification, making its workers the first of those at the Detroit Three automakers to approve the agreement.

Attention now shifts to ongoing voting at Ford (F.N) and Chrysler parent Stellantis (STLAM.MI), where current margins in favor of the deal suggest the agreement will be approved comfortably.

The vote locks in the UAW’s tentative agreement with GM after an unprecedented six-week campaign of coordinated strikes at all three automakers that focused attention on boosting workers’ wages. Ultimately, the union was able to clinch record pay hikes for auto workers after years of stagnant wages and painful concessions following the 2008 financial crisis.

Amazon Will Allow U.S. Customers to Buy Cars on Its Site from Local Dealers Next Year

In turn, Hyundai will name Amazon’s cloud computing unit AWS as its preferred cloud provider and integrate its next-generation vehicles with Alexa, Amazon’s popular voice assistant.

Carvana Stock, CarMax Sink As Amazon Enters Online Car Sales – Investor’s Business Daily

The e-commerce giant said its digital vehicle sales will start with Hyundai cars sold by dealerships.

“This new shopping experience will create another way for dealers to build awareness of their selection and offer convenience to their customers,” Amazon said in a blog post.

As part of the deal, South Korea’s Hyundai will integrate Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant into its cars beginning in 2025. It also will use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud services.

Starbucks workers stage strike on coffee chain’s “Red Cup” day – CBS News

Thousands of unionized Starbucks employees walked off the job Thursday on “Red Cup Day,” an annual promotion in which the coffee chain gives out reusable cups to customers who order holiday drinks, according to the union behind the protest.

Starbucks Workers United said what it dubbed the “Red Cup Rebellion” is the largest ever work stoppage in the history of the company, a bid to draw attention to ongoing complaints about staffing, scheduling and other workplace issues.

Juniper Schweitzer, who has worked for Starbucks for 16 years, said she loves the company and its ideals but believes it’s not living up to them.

“They have promised the world to us and they have not delivered,” said Schweitzer, who was picketing outside her Chicago store on Thursday.

The labor group has organized about 360 Starbucks stores, a small percentage of the company’s more than 9,000 U.S. locations. Starbucks downplayed the impact of the labor action.

Two arrested after US storage facility emptied of $1bn in ‘massive amounts of knock-off designer goods’

US attorney says two men from New York indicted in the ‘largest-ever seizure of counterfeit goods in US history’

Federal prosecutors arrested two men on Wednesday and seized more than 200,000 counterfeit handbags, clothes and other luxury items worth $1.03bn, making it “the largest-ever seizure of counterfeit goods in US history”.

The indictments of Adama Sow and Abdulaj Jalloh were unsealed this week, revealing both men had been charged with trafficking in counterfeit goods.

US attorney Damian Williams said in a statement that “the defendants used a Manhattan storage facility as a distribution center for massive amounts of knock-off designer goods. The seizures announced today consist of merchandise with over a billion dollars in estimated retail value, the largest-ever seizure of counterfeit goods in US history”.

U.S. Foreclosure Activity Remains Steady In October 2023

“Foreclosure filings continue to paint a concerning picture,” said Rob Barber, CEO at ATTOM. “With foreclosure filings ranging from 31,557 in January 2023 to 34,472 in October 2023, it’s evident that challenges in the housing market persist. A Wall Street Journal report with inside sources revealed that the Federal Reserve is coming down on Wells Fargo for their struggle to get in compliance with its regulatory obligation to monitor financial crime, and a “public penalty such as a consent order” may be on the table.

Massive Layoffs Will Soon Begin for Top American Bank

In fact, it is the third largest as of right now.

Don’t let any of that lead you into a false sense of security though, as they are about to begin massive layoffs.

Rating the Most Toxic Chocolate Brands

A recent analysis reveals you must choose your chocolate carefully to avoid exposure to toxic lead and cadmium. Dark chocolate has health benefits but may increase your risk.

Story at a Glance

  • Testing by Consumer Reports found one-third of chocolate products tested were high in heavy metals, and the percentage of contaminated products rose when it was dark chocolate.
  • Of the 28 dark chocolate bars tested in 2022, only five had levels below 100 percent of the maximum allowable dose, and only two had levels below 50 percent. In the 46 products tested in 2023, they found detectable levels in every product and 539 percent of the maximum allowed dose of lead in Perugina 85% Premium Dark Chocolate.
  • Chocolate is not the only source of heavy metal and it bioaccumulates, so it’s important to be aware of your overall intake. Cadmium can be absorbed from the soil and is found in the highest levels in grains and vegetables.
  • Exposure to lead and cadmium poses the highest risk to the brains and neurological systems of infants and children. Since cadmium crosses the placental barrier, exposure during pregnancy can have serious health consequences, including increased mortality from heart and kidney disease and cancer.
  • Dark chocolate has many health benefits, but your source should be chosen wisely to avoid exposure to heavy metals. Consider incorporating strategies for heavy metal detox to protect your mitochondrial function.

‘Mass Surveillance in Hyperdrive’: US Company Suspected of Enabling Government Abuses – Report

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a long list of controversial behavior, such as the flouting of constitutional protections and mass arrests of racial justice protesters. Now a US-based data giant is looking to add to that list as it faces criticism for reportedly helping to facilitate the agency’s abuses of power.

New documents released after a Freedom of Information Act request suggest the company LexusNexus has been selling personal location and facial recognition data to the controversial agency since late last year. The information was revealed Thursday in a report in US media.

The data sold by the company also includes social media posts, IP addresses, employment history, and phone call records.

“This contract is mass surveillance in hyperdrive,” said Julie Mao, referring to the $15.9 million agreement signed by LexusNexus.

“It’s frightening that a rogue agency such as CBP has access to so many powerful technologies at the click of the button. Unfortunately, this is what LexisNexis appears now to be selling to thousands of police forces across the country. It’s now become a one-stop shop for accessing a range of invasive surveillance tools.”

Companies such as LexusNexus gather personal data from multiple sources. Among the most invasive information offered by the company is location tracking data gathered from individuals’ smartphones. Modern mobile phones are in constant communication with cell towers throughout the country, frequently “pinging” them as they send and receive data.

The information is stored on smartphones and can be retrieved by third-party applications which sell the data to various companies, which is then aggregated by LexusNexus.

Banks report customers nearly 2 million times a year, says report

US banks are reporting customers to authorities as “suspicious” at a rate of nearly two million times a year, says a New York Times report this month.

In 2022 banks filled out approximately 1.8 million suspicious activity reports (SARs) and are on track this year to reach nearly two million again, a 50% increase from 2021. SARs are submitted to the Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCen), which then distributes the data among relevant government and law enforcement authorities.

Banks submit SARs for a number of reasons, such as high transaction amounts or wire transactions from high-risk countries. Often the concern is about the source of funds or a “transaction with no apparent economic, business or lawful purpose.”

Other transactions that can trigger a SAR include large cash withdrawals. Since the federal government requires customers to complete a form if they want to withdraw $10,000 or more in cash, banks report customers as suspicious if they withdraw just under that amount.

Kirk Wiebe and Thomas Drake.”

One of the biggest concerns of future chicken keepers, as well as novice chicken keepers from Florida to Alaska is how their birds will survive the winter. The short answer is that they’ll survive just fine! You don’t have to worry about heating the coop or feeding them hot cooked grains, both of which were done in the late 1800s in a failed attempt to get hens to lay eggs through the winter.

Seamus Bruner’s ‘Controligarchs’ Reveals Bill Gates’ Hidden Agenda as He Buys Up U.S. Farmland

Billionaire Bill Gates is buying up farmland and investing in meat alternatives to control the public’s diet under the guise of saving the planet from climate change, Seamus Bruner argues in his new book Controligarchs: Exposing the Billionaire Class, their Secret Deals, and the Globalist Plot to Dominate Your Life.

Gates is one of the key figures in a group of billionaires who met at Rockefeller University in Manhattan in May of 2009 in the wake of Barack Obama’s presidential victory. Several other well-known names were there, including David Rockefeller, George Soros, Ted Turner, Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey, and the heads of major corporations like Cisco, Blackstone Group, and Tiger Management. Their goal was “to figure out how they can pool their resources to spend on priorities that are important to them,” Bruner explained in an interview with Breitbart News Daily.

Canadian Doctor Reprimanded for Spreading Covid ‘Misinformation’ Says ‘We’re Fighting a War’ for Medical Truth

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) recently reprimanded Dr. Mark Trozzi for misconduct and spreading “misinformation” because of his opposition to Covid-19 mandates.

The Ontario doctor who has been reprimanded for spreading “misinformation” about the Covid-19 virus and who could lose his license to practice medicine said Wednesday that the Covid vaccine is a fraud and not even a vaccine.

But he predicts there will be another vaccine panic in the face of an imagined Covid surge.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) recently judged Dr. Mark Trozzi guilty of misconduct and spreading “misinformation” because of his opposition to Covid-19 mandates.

His lawyer, Michael Alexander, believes the CPSO will also move to strip Trozzi of his license to be a doctor in Ontario. Trozzi operated a clinic in Harrow, Ont, as a general practitioner but has since been on the road lecturing about Covid and working with the World Council on Health.

Target has once again triggered conservative criticism after the retailer rolled out Christmas decorations that some saw as too “woke,” like a black Santa in a wheelchair or a figurine draped in rainbow-colored “pride” paraphernalia.

End Wokeness, a prominent conservative account on X with over 1.8 million followers, shared several photos of Christmas ornaments that are now being offered for sale at Target.

“Target outdid itself this year for Christmas,” End Wokeness wrote in a post on X, with one image showing a black Santa Claus sitting in a wheelchair and another showing a figurine wearing a multi-colored “pride” hat while also holding a rainbow flag.

IBM pulls ads from X as Musk amplifies antisemitism – The Washington Post

Less than 24 hours after Elon Musk endorsed an antisemitic post on X as “the actual truth” of what Jewish people were doing, IBM paused its advertising on the social media platform as X’s chief executive, Linda Yaccarino, and others at the company scrambled on Thursday to contain the fallout.

X employees said on Thursday that they had gotten calls from advertisers wondering why Mr. Musk was making comments seen as antisemitic and why their ads were showing up next to white nationalist and Nazi content, according to internal messages that were viewed by The New York Times. IBM cut off about $1 million in advertising spending that it had committed to the platform for the last three months of the year, the messages said.

In a note to employees on Thursday morning, Ms. Yaccarino said that “X is a platform for everyone” and that “discrimination by everyone should STOP across the board.” She said the company had been clear about its work to fight antisemitism and discrimination, and later shared a similar message on X.

In a statement, IBM said it “has zero tolerance for hate speech and discrimination, and we have immediately suspended all advertising on X while we investigate this entirely unacceptable situation.”

‘Man of the Year’ Kim Kardashian follows in Caitlyn Jenner’s footsteps
Popular culture is mocking men into submission. GQ magazine naming supermodel Kim Kardashian as one of its “men of the year” is just the latest example of the relentless strategy to ridicule men and uproot the patriarchy.

Go ahead. Shrug your shoulders. Roll your eyes. Blow it off. Chalk it up as another harmless troll job. Yeah, that’s all it is. Anyone offended by Gentlemen’s Quarterly splashing a curvy sex trollop across its cover is just an old man yelling at a cloud.

Grin and move on. That’s the manly thing to do.

That’s what men have been doing for the last 50 years as we surrender more and more ground in the battle of the sexes. We’re greatly underestimating our opponent. It’s Satan. It’s the rejection of biblical order and man’s responsibility to lead.
