U.S., Israel and Hamas reach tentative deal to pause conflict and free dozens of hostages

Israel, the United States and Hamas have reached a tentative agreement to free dozens of women and children held hostage in Gaza in exchange for a five-day pause in fighting, the Washington Post reported on Saturday, citing people familiar with the deal.

As part of the detailed, six-page agreement, all parties would freeze combat operations for at least five days while “an initial 50 or more hostages are released in smaller groups every 24 hours”, the Post reported.

Argentina won’t join BRICS – newly elected president

Javier Milei pledged to stay away from China and Brazil, as well as to dollarize the country’s economy

Argentina is not planning to become a member of BRICS on January 1, Diana Mondino, senior economic adviser to the country’s president-elect, Javier Milei, told Sputnik Brazil on Monday.

The invitation to join BRICS was approved in August and extended to Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The current alliance consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

“I don’t know why there is so much interest around BRICS,” Mondino said, adding that it’s unclear how joining the group would benefit Argentina.

And just when you thought politicians couldn’t stoop any lower … French Senator Accused of Drugging Fellow Lawmaker in Attempted Rape

A French senator has been handed preliminary charges for drugging another lawmaker with the aim of rape or sexual assault, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, and has been suspended from his party.

Joel Guerriau, a 66-year-old representing the Loire-Atlantique region in western France, was detained for 48 hours and given preliminary charges Friday, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

Antony Blinken’s plot to destroy Israel, exposed

The Obama-Biden-Blinken “realignment” is well under way, and the consequences are dire for Israel and the United States — and indeed for the rest of the world.

It is now crystal clear that Secretary of State Antony Blinken is exploiting the Iranian-backed Hamas war to destroy the existing state of Israel through the use of threats, blackmail, leaks, the media, diplomatic backstabbing, the Arab states, the European Union, and the United Nations.

In a State Department memo dated Monday, November 13, Blinken explained America’s posture toward the Arabs in Gaza. It’s madness. He wrote:

As I said in private and in public, we believe Palestinian people’s voices and aspirations must be at the center of post-crisis governance in Gaza. We believe in Palestinian-led governance of Gaza, with Gaza unified with the West Bank. Gaza’s reconstruction must be supported with a sustained mechanism.

We also underscored America’s firm opposition to actions that would undermine efforts to build lasting peace and security. No forcible displacement of Palestinian civilians from Gaza – not now, not after the fighting stops. No reoccupation of Gaza after the conflict. No attempt to blockade or besiege Gaza. No reduction in the territory of Gaza. No use of Gaza as a platform for terrorism or other violent attacks, and no tolerating the use of the West Bank to carry out such attacks. No more violence from extremist settlers in the West Bank.

These steps are not ends in themselves. They must lead to Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in states of their own, with equal measures of security, freedom, opportunity, and dignity. That’s not something we can put off discussing until after this crisis is over. This discussion must happen now.

This also explains the current pressure campaign by leftists in Israel to try to topple the Netanyahu-led conservative government and replace it with radical left-wing parties that will deliver Israel to the effective control of the U.S. State Department, where Blinken, a mere appointed Cabinet secretary, will determine Israel’s fate.

Israel will not survive the Blinken plan — certainly not for long. This has been the plan for Israel since Barack Obama was president, when Blinken was deputy secretary of state. Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) was 100% right when he went to the Senate floor to excoriate Blinken and refused to support his confirmation.

Blinken, the Biden whisperer, is behind pouring $100 billion into rearming Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis in Yemen. Blinken set the Middle East on fire immediately upon taking office nearly three years ago. He has lifted or refused to enforce virtually every sanction on Iran. Blinken destroyed the popular uprising against the ayatollahs, when the Iranians sought to remove their murderous regime, by backing Tehran over its people.

Worse, Blinken chose Robert Malley, a Marxist supporter of Iran, as the U.S. envoy to negotiate another nuclear deal. And what did Malley do? He installed a high-level Iranian spy ring in D.C. and undermined our nation (and Israel) at every turn.

Israeli MPs introduce death penalty bill

Israel’s far-right Otzma Yehudit party has submitted a bill mandating “the death penalty for terrorists,” which will be debated this week.

“I expect all members of the Knesset to support this important law,” Otzma Yehudit leader and Israel’s national security minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.

Colorado judge says Trump stays on the ballot despite being involved in J-6!

Colorado judge finds Trump engaged in ‘insurrection’ but allows him on ballot

A Colorado judge on Friday allowed Donald Trump to remain on the ballot in the state’s election next year, but found that he “engaged in insurrection” by sparking the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters.

The ruling from Judge Sarah Wallace, which is almost certain to be appealed, rejects a bid by a group of Colorado voters to disqualify Trump under a rarely used amendment to the U.S. Constitution that bars officials who have engaged in “insurrection” from holding federal office.

Family of Arizona Man Killed by Border Agents Plans ‘Wrongful Death’ Suit

Relatives of an Arizona man who was shot and killed by federal agents on sovereign tribal land in May plan to sue U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) over his “wrongful death.”

On Nov. 17, attorneys representing Ray Mattia’s next of kin gathered outside the federal courthouse in Tucson, where they announced formal notice of the pending lawsuit under the U.S. Tort Claims Act.

The notice is a necessary first step in allowing the government to respond before the family launches a civil rights lawsuit, according to the family’s attorneys.

Millions of Americans Are Walking Into a Chinese-Made Trap

Commentary – According to a new Pew report, a growing number of U.S. adults admit to regularly getting their news on TikTok. “This,” notes the report, “is in contrast with many other social media sites, where news consumption has either declined or stayed about the same in recent years.”

This should concern all readers who care about the United States. As this piece clearly demonstrates, TikTok is an incredibly dangerous app that is most likely being weaponized by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). More specifically, it’s being used by the CCP to further divide a country that is already dangerously divided.

Jury trial set for hospital accused of intentionally killing a teen with Down syndrome

A hospital accused of intentionally killing a teenage girl with Down syndrome has lost its last chance to dismiss, and the case will now move forward, in what her family says is a “first-of-its-kind” jury trial.

Earlier this year, the tragic death of Grace Schara came to light. In 2021, Grace died at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital; she had been given a do-not-resuscitate (DNR) order without her or her family’s knowledge or consent; additionally, she was administered a cocktail of drugs — Precedex, Lorazepam, and Morphine — which are known to cause hypoxia, or low levels of oxygen in body tissues.

Grace had been diagnosed with COVID-19, but her family said she had been doing relatively well, despite being in the hospital. Yet they said hospital staff repeatedly tried to force ventilation on Grace without their consent, even as tests came back normal, indicating she didn’t need to be ventilated. Eventually, her parents were banned from being in her room at all. Despite the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requiring the right to an advocate, and though her sister was on-site to serve as that advocate, Grace’s family said the staff made decisions for her supposed treatment without consulting them.

Sacked OpenAI boss Sam Altman to join Microsoft

Sam Altman is joining Microsoft, the tech-giant has announced, ending speculation he might return to OpenAI just 48 hours after his chaotic ousting.

Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that Mr Altman would be joining Microsoft to lead “a new advanced AI research team”.

Meanwhile, ex-Twitch CEO Emmett Shear will become OpenAI’s new boss.

Writing on X, he called the job a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

But he added the way Mr Altman had been sacked was “handled very badly” and “seriously damaged our trust”.

The board dismissed Sam Altman, 38, on Friday, saying it had lost confidence in him, and named OpenAI’s chief technology officer, Mira Murati, as its interim chief executive.

Walmart, Costco and other companies rethink self-checkout

The backlash against self-checkout is growing, and stores are starting to dial back on the technology after it exploded over the past few years.

Abbott slated to sign law allowing arrest of anyone crossing Texas border without papers

Governor expected to sign SB4, one of the US’s harshest anti-immigration laws, and SB3, allocating $1.5bn to border security

Greg Abbott, the Texas governor, is expected to sign two rightwing immigration bills, setting off a likely constitutional battle over a new law that allows state and local police to arrest anyone suspected of crossing the Texas-Mexico border without documentation.

SB4, one of the harshest anti-immigration laws in US history, makes it a state crime to cross into Texas from another country without papers.

State judges are now required to order a migrant to return to the country they came from in lieu of prosecution. If the migrant refuses the judge’s order, they could face a felony charge and up to 20 years in prison. SB4 also gives Texas officers the ability to arrest anyone who they believe has crossed into the state illegally, a power that immigrant advocates and Democrats have decried as racist.

Citigroup begins layoffs as part of CEO Jane Fraser’s corporate overhaul

Citigroup will soon begin layoffs in CEO Jane Fraser’s corporate overhaul, CNBC has learned.

Employees affected by the cuts will be informed starting Wednesday, with new dismissals announced daily through early next week, according to people with knowledge of the situation.

Those impacted will include chiefs of staff, managing directors and some lower-level employees, said the people. The cuts will spread to more rank-and-file staff by February, they added.

The move tracks with a timeline set by Fraser in a Sept. 13 memo. She announced five new divisions whose heads report directly to her, resulting in the departure of a handful of senior executives. The next phase of disruption will be “communicated and implemented by the end of November,” and “final changes” will be done by the end of March 2024, Fraser said at the time.

Fraser is under pressure to improve Citigroup, which has been mired in a stock slump as headcount and expenses have ballooned in recent years. The CEO, who took over in March 2021, is at a pivotal moment as she faces deep investor skepticism that the bank can hit performance targets she outlined last year.

Employees who have lost their roles may be able to apply for other positions, and Citigroup will offer severance pay where eligible, the company’s human resources chief told workers last month.

The full extent of job cuts is still being determined, but managers and consultants working on the project — known internally by its code name, “Project Bora Bora” — have discussed dismissals of at least 10% of workers in several businesses, CNBC reported last week.

Charlotte postal worker allegedly stole $24 million worth of checks from USPS: Report

Charlotte postal worker has been accused of stealing at least $24 million from the U.S. Postal Service and collaborating with two others to sell the checks, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Nakedra Shannon, 29, has been accused of stealing incoming and outgoing checks at a mail processing distribution center in Charlotte over a period of four months. Shannon was apparently employed as a mail processing clerk at the center from March 2021 to July 2023, according to the Charlotte Observer.

The two other suspects involved in the case are Donnell Gardner, 27, and Desiray Carter, 24, who have been accused of posting stolen checks worth $12 million on the Telegram Channels application. The report noted that the alleged theft included taking $8 million in U.S. Treasury checks.

The three suspects carried out their operation from April to July of this year. They are believed to have made hundreds of thousands of dollars in the scheme, and now they are being charged with conspiracy to commit financial institution fraud, which could carry a sentence of 30 years in prison.

They have also been charged with theft of government property. These charges carry a 10-year sentence for each offense, according to the U.S. Attorney Office.

The suspects were released on bond after their first court appearance on Friday. None of them replied to request for comment from the Charlotte Observer.

Natural Remedies for Parasite Infections: Parasites: Our Uninvited Guests (Part 3)

This series explores parasites, including what they are, how we get them, and how to get rid of them.

For someone who has recently learned that they have a parasite infection, the immediate next thought is, “How do I get rid of this as quickly as possible?” As you’d likely expect, antiparasitic drugs are typically prescribed in conventional medicine.

However, these drugs can have negative long-term side effects and are rarely the first recommended treatment in holistic medicine.

It’s possible to treat parasites with a combination of diet and nutrition protocols in addition to antiparasitic herbs. The goal of this approach is to make the body uninhabitable for parasites by starving them and supporting the immune system’s ability to clear them out.

Herbal Antiparasitics

Many antiparasitic herbs can be extremely beneficial to consume as part of your parasite protocol.

  • Black Walnuts: Black walnuts contain juglone and tannins that work to eliminate microbes from the large intestine. They can also work as a laxative, expelling parasites from the body.
  • Cloves: Cloves are naturally antiseptic and anti-parasitic. They help to kill parasitic eggs and worms in the intestines. They can also be consumed as a “maintenance” treatment to help prevent future parasitic infections.
  • Raw Garlic: Raw garlic is used to help deal with intestinal worm parasites. It features sulfur-containing amino acids that are naturally anti-parasitic.
  • Mimosa Pudica Seed: When you consume mimosa pudica, the seeds become a gelatinous-like gel that can stick to parasites and other toxins, making them available to be removed from the body.
  • Wormwood: Wormwood is a perennial plant related to the daisy family and can be consumed either fresh or dried. It’s used to eliminate all types of worms including roundworms, tapeworms, and pinworms.
  • Papaya Seeds: Papaya seeds can be helpful in killing off worms and ridding your system of the toxins that they produce.
  • Barberry: Barberry is an herb and berry that contains berberine, a compound shown to kill tapeworms.
  • Goldenseal: Goldenseal also contains berberine and has been shown to kill parasites including Giardia and tapeworms.
  • Oregon Grape: This beautiful little plant with yellow blossoms and grape-like berries contains berberine, like barberry and goldenseal. It has strong anti-parasitic qualities, making it another effective tool for treating parasitic infections.
  • Anise: Anise oil has been used historically in small doses to expel intestinal parasites. It’s a milder treatment than other anti-parasitic herbs.

5 Common Nutrient Deficiencies in Modern Individuals

In addition to genetics and individual constitution, environmental factors play a significant role in the modern prevalence of nutrient deficiencies.

Nowadays, the variety of health products is extensive, with popular supplements including B vitamins, lutein, and more. However, according to Chien Tzu Yun, a functional medicine nutritionist from Taiwan, these are not the nutrients typically lacking in the human body. On the Epoch Times’ “Health 1+1” program, she summarized her clinical observations during blood tests, highlighting the top five nutrients commonly deficient in people and providing guidance on how to supplement them effectively.

Ms. Chien believes that, in addition to genetics and individual constitution, environmental factors play a significant role in the modern prevalence of nutrient deficiencies. Contemporary individuals live in more polluted environments, leading to increased demands on the body for nutrients. Additionally, modern agricultural practices prioritize speedy crop cultivation, resulting in shorter fallow periods and diminished soil nutrients. Consequently, the nutritional content of crops has decreased over time, providing the human body with fewer essential trace elements than before.

A blood test is the quickest way to determine whether the body lacks certain nutrients. Ms. Chien noted that a decline in your immune system, characterized by frequent colds or headaches or an increase in minor ailments, could indicate a nutritional deficiency. In such cases, getting a blood test is advisable. Typically, these tests reveal not just a deficiency in one nutrient but a lack of multiple.

Through clinical experience, Ms. Chien has identified the top five nutrients most commonly lacking in modern individuals:

  1. Vitamin D3
  2. Zinc
  3. Vitamin C
  4. Omega-3
  5. Vitamin A

‘We The Exploited’: Slouching Toward ‘Soylent Green’

Americans have become easy prey for hackers, scammers, snitches, spies, and con artists.

But don’t be fooled into thinking the government is protecting you.

To the contrary, the U.S. government is selling us (or rather, our data) to the highest bidders.

By the way, those highest bidders also include America’s political class and the politicians aspiring to get elected or re-elected. As the Los Angeles Times reports, “If you have been to a political rally, a town hall, or just fit a demographic a campaign is after, chances are good your movements are being tracked with unnerving accuracy by data vendors on the payroll of campaigns.”

Your phones, televisions and digital devices are selling you out to politicians who want your vote.

“Welcome to the new frontier of campaign tech — a loosely regulated world in which simply downloading a weather app or game, connecting to Wi-Fi at a coffee shop or powering up a home router can allow a data broker to monitor your movements with ease, then compile the location information and sell it to a political candidate who can use it to surround you with messages,” writes journalist Evan Halper.

In this way, “we the people” have been reduced to economic units to be bought, bartered and sold by all and sundry.

On a daily basis, Americans have been made to relinquish the most intimate details of who we are—our biological makeup, our genetic blueprints, and our biometrics (facial characteristics and structure, fingerprints, iris scans, etc.)—in order to navigate an increasingly technologically-enabled world.

Those intimate details, in turn, have become the building blocks of massive databases accessed by the government and its corporate partners in crime, vulnerable to data breaches by hackers, cyberattacks and espionage.

For years now, and with little real oversight or restrictions, the government has been compiling massive databases comprised of all manner of sensitive information on the citizenry.

Biden invokes emergency wartime powers to boost heat pump production with $169M in federal funds in administration’s latest push to replace gas appliances

President Joe Biden will use special wartime powers to boost US production of heat pumps, by funding nine manufacturing projects with $169 million from last year’s climate bill, the Energy Department said on Friday.

The awards were granted under the emergency authority of the Cold War-era Defense Production Act (DPA), which Biden invoked on the basis of climate change to boost spending on clean energy technology.

‘The President is using his wartime emergency powers under the Defense Production Act to turbocharge US manufacturing of clean technologies and strengthen our energy security,’ said Biden’s National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi in a statement.

US industry disposed of at least 60m pounds of PFAS waste in last five years

US industry disposed of at least 60m pounds of PFAS “forever chemical” waste over the last five years, and did so with processes that probably pollute the environment around disposal sites, a new analysis of Environmental Protection Agency data finds.

The 60m pounds estimate is likely to be a “dramatic” undercount because PFAS waste is unregulated in the US and companies are not required to record its disposal, the paper’s author, Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (Peer), wrote.

Estimate in new EPA analysis is probably ‘dramatic’ undercount because ‘forever chemical’ waste is unregulated in US

Still, the findings “depict a vast, unregulated, spreading web of PFAS waste disposal in the United States”, Peer said.

“These data show that we are steadily poisoning ourselves, our waters, and our food chain with extremely persistent toxic chemicals,” said Tim Whitehouse, Peer’s executive director and a former EPA attorney.

Ohio House Weighs Bill Barring Enforcement of Federal Gun Control

The Ohio House is expected to pass legislation this year barring in-state enforcement of federal firearm and ammunition laws.

The legislation, House Bill 51, is titled the Second Amendment Preservation Act.

Among other things, the Act implements a “civil penalty” in an instance where:

The state or any political subdivision of the state knowingly employs an individual who is acting as or previously acted as an official, agent, employee, or deputy of the government of the United States, or otherwise acting under the color of federal law within the borders of this state, and who knowingly…enforces, attempts to enforce, or participates in any way in the enforcement or implementation of any federal acts, laws, executive orders, rules, regulations, statutes, or ordinances regarding firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition.

Cleveland.com reported that House Speaker Jason Stephens (R) is confident of the bill’s passage in the House, which would send it to the state Senate for debate and a possible vote.

The outlet described the Second Amendment Preservation Act as a reflection of Ohio “conservatives’ resistance to and distrust of federal gun-control laws.”

Gun-toting LA homeowner who opened fire on intruders says his concealed carry permit was just revoked

The Los Angeles father and husband who earlier this month opened fire on armed intruders who ran up on him from behind — right at the front door of his home — said his concealed carry permit was taken from him in the wake of the headline-grabbing incident.

“After successfully defending my home and my family and my 5-month-old child, California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment [rights],” Vince Ricci said in an NRA video released Friday.

Ricci told Fox News that the sheriff’s office told him Thursday morning that his concealed carry permit was “revoked,” and the cable network added that Ricci indicated the reason was him “yelling” at Los Angeles police officers when they visited his home to investigate the shooting three days after the incident.

Michigan salon faces discrimination charge over owner’s comments on gender identity

A hair salon in northern Michigan is facing a discrimination charge from the state’s Department of Civil Rights after its owner posted on social media earlier this year that anyone identifying as other than a man or a woman is not welcome at her business.

The department claims in the charge filed Wednesday that Traverse City’s Studio 8 Hair Lab violated the state’s civil rights act in a Facebook post in July from its owner, Christine Geiger, by unlawfully discriminating against three claimants.

The post, which is no longer available, read, “If a human identifies as anything other than a man/woman please seek services at a local pet groomer. You are not welcome at this salon. Period. Should you request to have a particular pronoun used please note we may simply refer to you as ‘hey you.'”

A hearing will now be scheduled before an administrative law judge, who will issue a recommendation after hearing the merits of the complaint, according to the civil rights department. The recommendation will then go before Michigan’s Civil Rights Commission to either adopt or make their own ruling.

Teen who helped friend savagely murder teacher over a bad grade sobs, bleeds from the nose ahead of receiving life sentence

An Iowa teen wept and bled just moments before receiving a life sentence Wednesday for helping his classmate murder beloved high school Spanish teacher Nohema Graber in 2021. Jeremy Goodale, 18, and his friend Willard Miller ambushed Graber, beat her to death with a baseball bat, then ditched her remains in Chatauqua Park in Fairfield — all for giving Miller a bad grade and purportedly hurting his chances of taking part in a study abroad program.

While neither teen could agree on who ultimately killed the 66-year-old teacher, both pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree murder.

Goodale, 16 at the time of the murder, had his shot at a juvenile court hearing thwarted by Judge Shawn Showers’ ruling in May. Instead, he was tried as an adult.
