Russia Prepares Nationwide Drills With Nuclear War Scenario

Russia is set to hold nationwide exercises early next month, according to new reports, in preparation for “the danger of armed conflicts involving nuclear powers.”

Russian authorities will hold large-scale drills across the country on October 3 because of the “growing danger of armed conflicts including [with] nuclear-capable powers near Russia’s borders,” the Baza Telegram channel, which is linked to Russia’s security services, reported on Thursday, citing the head of Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, or Rospotrebnadzor.

This will be the first time that Moscow has held such drills, which will imagine that Russia is at least partially under martial law and that up to 70 percent of the country’s housing facilities have been destroyed, the outlet reported. The exercises will also suppose that general mobilization has ended, and there is the possibility of radioactive contamination, Baza reported.

Now the House GOP is looking to oust Matt Gaetz!

Matt Gaetz: I Will Move to Oust McCarthy as Speaker this Week

Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he will offer a motion to vacate the Speakership of Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) this week.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “The House gavels back in tomorrow at noon. Are you going to make a motion to vacate?”

Gaetz said, “Speaker McCarthy made an agreement with house conservatives in January, and since then he has been in brazen, repeated material breach of that agreement. This agreement that he made with Democrats, to really blow past a lot of the spending guardrails we had set up is the last straw. And overnight I learned that Kevin McCarthy had a secret deal with Democrats on Ukraine as he was baiting Republicans to vote for a continuing resolution without Ukraine money, saying that we were going to jam it in thew Senate on Ukraine, he turns around and makes a secret deal.”

Tapper asked, “So a motion to vacate tomorrow?”

Gaetz said, “I do intend to file a motion to vacate the Speaker McCarthy this week. I think we need to rip off the band-aid. The one thing everybody has in common is no one trusts McCarthy. He lied to Biden, he lied to House conservatives.”

A Defense spending bill passed the House Thursday night with an amendment from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, R-Ga., to reduce Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s salary to $1 − and she said even a buck is too much money.

The bill passed the chamber along party lines with a 218-210 vote.

“Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has been a failure for our military and for America,” Greene wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Last night, the DOD appropriations bill passed the House with my Holman rule amendment to reduce his salary to $1. But even that’s too much..”

The Holman rule “allows amendments to appropriations legislation that would reduce the salary of or fire specific federal employees, or cut a specific program,” according to the House Rules Committee.

US Court Upholds Tennessee Ban on Transgender Procedures for Children

The court noted that the law does not permit parents to seek banned medical treatments for their children.

An appeals court upheld Tennessee’s ban on transgender procedures for children, ruling that the law does not violate the 14th Amendment as claimed in a lawsuit challenging the ban.

In March, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed into law SB0001, which prohibits transgender treatment for minors. It came into effect in July. The bill requires children who started such treatments before July 1 to end it by March 31, 2024. In April, groups including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit challenging the law on behalf of families with “trans-identifying” children.

On Sept. 28, the Sixth Circuit Court of the U.S. Court of Appeals rejected the petitioner’s challenge in a 2–1 ruling, upholding Tennessee’s ban on transgender treatment for children.

Now Biden is coming for your gas furnaces … What’s next, your fireplace?

Biden Administration Releases Energy Efficient Standards for Gas Furnaces

The Biden administration released finalized energy efficient standards for residential gas furnaces on Friday, September 29, and they come with a high cost for many households.

The Department of Energy (DOE) expects the rules to slash household utility bills from gas furnace use by $1.5 billion annually and reduce pollution.

By 2028, residential gas furnaces will be required to provide an annual fuel utilization efficiency of 95 percent. This means that a furnace must convert 95 percent of its fuel into heat. The current market standard for annual fuel utilization efficiency is 80 percent, and it was last updated in 2007, Fox News Digital reported

A beer is a beer is a beer is a beer until you’ve tasted Trump! (… in a can!) … sales skyrocketed as soon as it hit the streets … 5 tractor-trailer loads worth of skyrocket!

Ultra Right Beer claims ‘record-breaking sales’ from can bearing Trump’s mugshot

Ultra Right Beer — the “100% woke-free” beverage brand launched after Bud Light’s disastrous tie-up with Dylan Mulvaney — claims it raked in $500,000 in the 12 hours following its release of a beer can that bears former President Donald Trump’s mugshot.

Founder Seth Weathers told Fox Business that he “knew people would go wild over these collector cans, but we had no idea the response would be this crazy.”

Weathers, better known online as “Conservative Dad,” predicts that sales of the Trump-themed beer can top $2 million by the time it goes off the market at midnight on Sunday, according to Fox.

“Sales have poured in from the moment we launched,” Weathers added of the can, dubbed “Conservative Dad’s Revenge,” which features a black-and-white version of Trump’s viral booking photo on the outside and Ultra Right’s signature golden lager on the inside.

Ultra Right touts the brew as “100% American Beer,” that “will become the most collectible beer can in American history,” on its website, where the beer is being sold in packs of six for $25.

IN-DEPTH: Doctors Warn of the ‘Hidden Harms’ of Bioengineered Foods

Some doctors are disturbed by the current trajectory of manipulating food sources.

With the rise of bioengineered foods and ingredients on the market, doctors are warning consumers about the “hidden harms” that may be lurking in the foods they purchase.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines bioengineered food as a consumable product that “contains detectable genetic material that has been modified through certain lab techniques that cannot be created through conventional breeding or found in nature.”

On Jan. 1, 2022, the USDA implemented a new disclosure standard for bioengineered food, so manufacturers must now label food products with the terms “bioengineered” or “derived from bioengineering” so consumers will know what they are buying.

Informing the public is a good start. However, because these bioengineered foods have not been adequately tested, Dr. Syed Haider has many concerns.

Is Maple Syrup a Healthy Sugar?

The Ultimate Guide to Kicking Sugar (Part 6)

Maple syrup is undeniably sweet and tasty. Perhaps you’re like Ross from “Friends,” often finding yourself indulging in a box of maple candies to the point of intoxication. (If not, don’t start: This is a bad idea.) When consumed in moderation, maple syrup is indeed healthier than standard refined sugar.

Some might even consider maple syrup a superfood.

“If you’re stranded on a deserted island and could bring only one food, maple syrup is the food for you,” Navindra Seeram, professor and chair of the department of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, said during an interview with The Epoch Times.

The Healing Powers of Fresh Horseradish

Horseradish has been used medicinally for centuries to reduce inflammation, clear congestion, boost the immune system and more.

Fresh horseradish has been used medicinally for centuries to reduce inflammation, clear congestion, boost the immune system and more.

Horseradish is to spice what apples are to pies — very American. An estimated 85 percent of the world’s horseradish is grown here and a lot of it stays here: Americans consume six million gallons of horseradish a year!

But horseradish isn’t an American original. Native to the Mediterranean, by the 15th century it was growing in Britain, where it was described as hoarse, meaning “of coarse and strong quality.”

Horseradish has no odor, but cut into its flesh and you’ll sniff a waft of heat that can open the sinuses even on the worst day of allergy season. No wonder it was used as a medicine long before it was used as a food. Ye Olde physicians employed its mucous-moving abilities to help treat colds, coughs, kidney stones, urinary tract infections — and hoarseness, of course.

What gives horseradish its healing kick? The volatile oil sinigrin, which breaks down into allyl isothiocyanate, a powerful natural antibiotic. Allyl isothiocyanate most likely accounts for the proven effectiveness of horseradish in treating upper respiratory problems. But it’s not the only healing component in the spice. Ounce for ounce, horseradish contains more medicinally active compounds than most other spices. And they are very active — they can clear congestion, thin mucous, reduce inflammation, squelch cell-damaging oxidants, fight bacteria and viruses, relax muscles, stimulate the immune system — and even battle cancer. That makes the humble horseradish one special spice. As noted botanist and spice expert Dr. James A. Duke put it, “Horseradish is about as useful in the medicine chest as it is in the spice rack.”

Study Finds German Herbal Drug Comparable to Antibiotics and Safe

Remedy sinusitis, bronchitis, and UTIs at home

Angocin, an herbal medicine produced and sold in Germany, has only two active ingredients: monk’s cress powder, also known as garden nasturtium, and horseradish root powder. This medicinal has been sold and studied overseas for nearly two decades.

Research cited in the National Library of Medicine finds that its effects are comparable to those of common antibiotics, with an invaluable perk—it’s significantly safer. Even better, you can make this effective remedy at home, no prescription necessary.

The synergistic combination of garden nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus) and horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) has antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Garden nasturtium brims with vitamin C and minerals including potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper, and iron.

Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of systemic factors causing varicose veins and spider veins

Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a safe and effective approach to treating and preventing spider veins and varicose veins, based on a clinical framework tested and refined over millennia of use.

TCM agrees with Western biomedicine that poor blood circulation is a primary cause of varicose veins; this is called blood stasis in TCM. Both approaches agree that appropriate exercise is crucial to blood circulation, and that smoking is bad for blood vessels. But TCM goes beyond Western biomedicine in identifying another key factor in varicosity, a key factor besides smoking which governs the strength and elasticity of the blood vessels themselves. TCM calls this factor Spleen qi.

So what is Spleen qi, and how does it affect blood vessels? Is there something besides exercises, or quitting smoking, which people suffering from varicose veins can do that will improve their outcomes?

Yes — they can strengthen their digestive systems.

Treating blood vessels as an extension of the digestive system isn’t as strange as it may sound. Consider some of the structural and functional similarities between the digestive tract and blood vessels: Both are long tubes, made of smooth muscle. From the esophagus to colon, the digestive tract relaxes just in front of the bolus, and contracts behind it to move material through; this is called peristalsis. Similarly, the blood vessel relaxes just in front of the pulse, and contracts just behind it, moving the blood through.

Functionally, the digestive system produces nutrients and discharges wastes; the nutrients reach all the cells of the body via the circulatory system, which also carries metabolic wastes away from cells so they can be excreted.

Viewed in these terms, the digestive and circulatory systems are clearly co-extensive; that is, each finishes what the other starts. Not to mention that one source of Vitamin K, an important blood-clotting factor, is its production by friendly flora in the gut.

Note: STRAUSS HEARTDROPS can also be helpful for the circulatory system and has been used by many with varicose veins

An Antipsychotic Drug Gets FDA Green Light Despite Fourfold Higher Risk of Death

For medical professionals, the FDA’s move raises troubling questions about efficacy, safety, and regulatory diligence.

A questionable green light from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Medical experts left confused and concerned.

This is the story surrounding brexpiprazole, branded as Rexulti: the first antipsychotic approved to treat agitation in Alzheimer’s patients despite alarmingly high death rates and poor results in clinical trials.

Patients prescribed brexpiprazole faced a fourfold increased risk of dying compared to people who didn’t take the drug, according to an investigation published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ).

For medical professionals, the FDA’s move raises troubling questions about efficacy, safety, and regulatory diligence.

Google Searches Favor Democrat Candidates in 2024 Presidential Race: Media Watchdog

Not a single Republican candidate appeared on the first page of Google results when searching for ‘presidential campaign websites.’

Google’s search results on 2024 presidential candidates overlook Republicans and promote Democrats, according to an analysis by media watchdog MRC Free Speech America.

Between Sept. 20 and Sept. 25, MRC Free Speech America analyzed Google search results for three terms related to the upcoming elections—“presidential campaign websites,” “Republican presidential campaign websites,” and “Democrat presidential campaign websites.” The searches were made a week before the second Republican presidential primary debate, which was on Sept. 27.

It found that search results for “presidential campaign websites” were skewed heavily in favor of Democrats, with no notable Republican figures appearing on the first page.

When MRC searched for “Republican presidential campaign websites,” the websites of two candidates appeared on the first page of the search results—author Marianne Williamson, who isn’t a Republican and is running for 2024 as a Democrat, and former Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas), who’s polling at 0 percent as of Sept. 25, according to Morning Consult.

Sounding Alarm Over Mass Surveillance Systems, Rutherford Institute Opposes Police Use of License Plate Readers

At a time when growing numbers of unsuspecting Americans are being swept up into a massive digital data dragnet that does not distinguish between those who are innocent of wrongdoing, suspects, or criminals, The Rutherford Institute is responding to reports that the Charlottesville Police Department hopes to adopt the Flock License Plate Recognition (LPR) system to “prevent, deter and solve crime.” Reminding government officials of the need for transparency, accountability and respect for privacy, the Institute is urging the City Council to oppose the adoption of any license plate readers in recognition of the potential dangers posed by governmental overreach, data leaks, and invasion of privacy.

“Nothing is ever as simple as the government claims it is, and these unregulated, AI-enabled, mass surveillance cameras masquerading as crime prevention would be no exception,” said constitutional attorney John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute and author of Battlefield America: The War on the American People. “Although preemptive precrime programs, driven by surveillance cameras and fusion centers, are popping up all across the country, they are not necessarily making communities any safer, but they are endangering individual freedoms. As such, the threats posed by these license plate readers to First and Fourth Amendment rights cannot be understated.”

Microplastic clouds?

Geoengineering Watch Global Alert News, September 30,

The latest installment of Global Alert News – “Clouds now contain plastic, risking contamination of ‘everything we eat and drink’, airborne plastic particles found in cloud water”(Independent.co.uk). Geoengineering Watch has been sounding the alarm about polymer fiber nanoparticles in our precipitation for years. What took the so called science community so long to catch up? New York’s manipulated heavy dose of rain was the core component of the temporary east coast cool-down which is scheduled to be followed by a warm-up and then another cool-down. The West Coast has also been the recipient of a manipulated moisture cool-down, though temperatures are scheduled to rapidly rebound. The Gulf Stream current is slowing down and seaborne flesh eating bacteria are ramping up while the human race faces an “unprecedented global toxic emergency”. Above it all and completely connected to it all are the ongoing and accelerating climate engineering operations. Where do we go from here?

Planting Garlic In Fall Gardens

If you are wondering how to grow a garlic plant, you are in the right place. Planting garlic in fall gardens is an excellent way to cultivate your own delicious varieties.

Garlic is best planted in fall — we always try to plant it by Halloween as part of our vampire-protection plan — and overwintered under thick mulch. We’ve saved and planted our softneck, purple-tinged garlic for several years now, and we were loathe to lose this well-adapted landrace variety that had been performing exceptionally well and producing steady, reliable harvests of nice-sized, pungent bulbs.  We didn’t want to keep driving to the old garden plot solely to tend the garlic, although we would have if necessary — I wouldn’t know what to do if I had to start buying garlic at the store! A homesteader-gardener’s nightmare!

Judge Upholds Federal Bump Stock Ban

A federal judge has upheld the ATF’s ban on bump stocks, devices that boost firing speed.

U.S. District Judge Jill N. Parrish ruled on Sept. 29 (pdf) that the prohibition on bump stocks imposed administratively by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) several years ago was appropriate.

“This court concludes that the regulation is an appropriate exercise of the agency’s discretion to fill gaps implicitly left by Congress,” and so “it declines to declare the rule unlawful or enjoin its enforcement,” wrote Ms. Parrish, an appointee of former President Barack Obama.

Too Little Too Late? Europe Finally Realizes Mass Immigration Is Destroying Them

In 2014 Europe was under siege, with millions of African and Arab migrants marching into the EU and using asylum claims to quickly enter the region without vetting.  With the union facing an unprecedented surge of foreigners not seen since WWII or the collapse of Yugoslavia, some among the public called the event a crisis.  EU officials did not see it that way.  Instead of securing their borders and repelling the invasion, top representatives like Angela Merkel announced they would open their borders completely to migrants and refugees in 2015.

Many migrants were given the impression that free housing, welfare and easy employment would be made available to them upon arrival in Germany.  The reality was far more complicated, but the image of a golden land of ease was all that was needed to trigger a tidal wave.  With shared border policies in the EU, Germany’s decision became every other nation’s problem.

Tim Wakefield, Red Sox’ beloved World Series winning pitcher, dies at 57

Tim Wakefield, the knuckleball pitcher who helped the Boston Red Sox win their curse-busting World Series title in 2004 has died at the age of 57.

Wakefield had brain cancer, according to ex-teammate Curt Schilling, who outed the illness on a podcast last week – drawing an outpouring of support for Wakefield. The Red Sox confirmed an illness at the time but did not elaborate, saying Wakefield had requested privacy.

Drafted by the Pirates as a first baseman who set home run records in college, Wakefield converted to a pitcher after mastering the knuckleball in the minor leagues.
