Israel–Hamas War: Israel Strikes Hamas Intelligence Building

Israel said Saturday it’s “at war” after Hamas, the terror group that controls the Gaza Strip, launched a surprise attack against the country from the air, land, and sea.

In response to the assault, Israeli forces announced the launch of “Operation Swords of Iron,” calling it a “large-scale operation to defend Israeli civilians against the combined attack against Israel by Hamas.”

As of late Saturday, over 350 Israelis have been killed in the Hamas invasion, according to Israeli media. Israel’s health ministry has reported that over 1,900 Israelis have been injured, including 18 in critical condition and 267 severe.

Palestinian resistance in Gaza launches unprecedented surprise attack on Israel

In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 7, the Palestinian resistance in the besieged Gaza Strip launched an unprecedented surprise multi-prong attack on Israel, including firing a barrage of rockets toward Israeli territory while simultaneously carrying out a ground offensive into nearby Israeli towns which breached the Israeli Gaza barrier and overwhelmed surrounding Israeli military posts.

Four American Citizens Killed in Terrorist Attack on Israel

As many as four American citizens are confirmed to have been killed during the terrorist attack in Israel over the weekend, which has claimed over 700 lives.

Confirmation of the dead Americans came on Sunday after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the Biden administration had been “working overtime” to verify reports of missing and dead Americans in the midst of Hamas launching an unprecedented attack on Israel.

The US will send a carrier strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean in support of Israel

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Sunday he has ordered the Ford carrier strike group to sail to the Eastern Mediterranean to be ready to assist Israel after the attack by Hamas that has left more than 1,000 dead on both sides. Americans were reported to be among those killed and missing.

The USS Gerald R. Ford, the Navy’s newest and most advanced aircraft carrier, and its approximately 5,000 sailors and deck of warplanes will be accompanied by cruisers and destroyers in a show of force that is meant to be ready to respond to anything, from possibly interdicting additional weapons from reaching Hamas and conducting surveillance.

The large deployment reflects a U.S. desire to deter any regional expansion of the conflict. But the Israeli government formally declared war Sunday and gave the green light for “significant military steps” to retaliate against Hamas.

Iranian Regime’s Role in Ongoing Terrorist Attacks on Israel

Days before the attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader called for the eradication of the ‘Zionist regime’ which he described as a ‘cancer.’

The Islamic terrorist group that carried out the surprise attack on Israel over the weekend receives funding and equipment from Iran, a country that has sent billions of dollars over the years to its terror proxies toward its stated goal of the destruction of the Jewish state.

On Oct. 7, a military wing of Iran-backed Hamas launched an unprovoked attack on Israel, infiltrating the country. The gunmen rampaged for hours, gunning down civilians in towns, along highways, and at a techno music festival being held in the desert near Gaza. More than 600 individuals are estimated to have been killed, with thousands injured, and an undetermined number of citizens and soldiers abducted, according to Israeli media.

The Izzuddin Al-Qassam Brigades (IQB), which carried out the attack, praised Iran for its support.

Iran prisoner swap for $6 billion in spotlight after Hamas attacks Israel

The Palestinian group Hamas’s surprise assault on Israel Saturday and Israel’s retaliation have killed more than 1,100 people and focused attention on the Iran-backed Islamist group.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Sunday that Iran has not yet been able to spend a single dollar of the $6 billion in funds that were unfrozen in a U.S.-Iran prisoner swap in September.

Blinken also said he had “not yet seen evidence that Iran directed or was behind this particular attack, but there’s certainly a long relationship.”

Taliban seeks to help Hamas destroy Israel with Biden’s $80 billion in U.S. weapons

This assault comes just weeks after Joe Biden sent $6 billion to Iran in September.

The last time the US gave stacks of money to Iran, during the Obama years, Iran launched a massive military build-up.

Major airlines halt flights to Israel after Hamas attack

The Federal Aviation Administration urged U.S. airlines and pilots to use “extreme caution” when flying at any altitude in Israeli airspace, in an updated Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) statement issued early Sunday, following Hamas’ large-scale surprise attack on Israel one day earlier.

The NOTAM mirrors a similar alert issued by the Israeli government.

Ukraine Would Receive €186 Billion for Joining the European Union: Report

The fervent push from Brussels to admit Ukraine into the European Union would see €186 billion transferred to Kyiv from other member states in addition to the billions poured into the country to subsidise the war effort against Russia.

According to leaked internal assessments from the secretariat of the EU Council of the cost of admitting nine new countries into the bloc, many states that hitherto were net beneficiaries of wealth transfers would need to begin sending their limited resources abroad and wealthier economies such as France, Germany, and The Netherlands would need to significantly increase their foreign contributions.

Appeals Court Rules for Trump Amid NY Fraud Trial

After a hearing on Friday, an appeals court granted a stay, or pause, on a judge’s order that former President Donald Trump’s businesses be dissolved.

This was only a partial victory for President Trump, as the appeals court said the trial that began this week could continue.

The prosecutors had opposed the request for a delay, accusing the defense attorneys of attempting “to sow chaos” and disruption.

Judge Hands Trump a Win in DC Election Case

A federal judge in Washington partially granted a request by former President Donald Trump’s attorneys to allow for extra time to file motions in the federal election obstruction case ahead of his March 2024 trial.

U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan issued the order on Oct. 6, representing as a partial win for the Trump legal team. In court papers filed last week with the court, they had wanted additional time to craft arguments in the case, which was brought by special counsel Jack Smith.

The judge granted President Trump some additional time to file motions, although she mostly rejected his lawyer’s requests to delay the trial deadlines. In her order, she rejected the former president’s request to order a declassified version of some of the government’s court filings regarding classified evidence.

California governor vetoes bill that would have set a $35 cap for insulin

Gavin Newsom has vetoed a bill that would have stopped insurance companies from charging more than $35 for insulin.

The bill would have banned health plans and disability insurance policies from imposing any out-of-pocket expenses on insulin prescription drugs above $35 for a 30-day supply. That would have included deductibles and co-pays.

The California governor, a Democrat, said earlier this year that the state would soon start making its own brand of insulin. California has a $50m contract with the non-profit pharmaceutical company Civica Rx to manufacture the insulin under the brand CalRx. The state would sell a 10-milliliter vial of insulin for $30.

IRS Puts $500,000 Tax Lien on Rudy Giuliani’s Condo Just 3 Miles From Mar-a-Lago

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has placed a tax lien of nearly half a million dollars on a Florida condo owned by former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, court filings show.

The document—a notice of federal tax lien—surfaced just recently, though it was entered into record at the County Courthouse, Palm Beach County, in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sept. 1, 2023.

In it, the IRS claims Mr. Giuliani owes $549,435.26 in unpaid income taxes for 2021 and so the agency has placed a lien on his penthouse in Palm Beach, which is located just three miles north of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

Hillary Clinton Calls for ‘Formal Deprogramming’ of Trump Supporters

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for the reeducation of supporters of former President Donald Trump during a CNN interview on Thursday.

The former Democratic presidential nominee who lost to President Trump in 2016 told Christiane Amanpour that though there have always been “bitter battles over all kinds of things” between Republicans and Democrats, there wasn’t “this little tail of extremism wagging the dog of the Republican party as it is today.”

“And, sadly, so many of those extremists—those MAGA extremists—take their marching orders from Donald Trump who has no credibility left by any measure,” she said.

Government at Risk of Shutdown Again After McCarthy Ouster and GOP ‘Civil War’

Passage of the annual federal budget could be further delayed after House Republicans voted on Oct. 3 to remove Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from his position.

Mr. McCarthy’s ouster increases the chances that Republicans could become further at odds with each other—and Democrats—as Congress has less than 40 days to pass 12 departmental appropriation bills needed to avert a government shutdown.

“Right now it’s all in the hands of the Republican Party; they are in a civil war and are not including the Democrats in making any choices [to fund the government],” Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) told The Epoch Times.

Hunter Biden’s Lawyer Withdraws From Case

On Friday, Hunter Biden’s attorney Richard I. G. Jones, Jr., filed a motion to withdraw from the felony gun charges case against Mr. Biden.

Mr. Jones did not cite a specific reason for the withdrawal and wrote that, having his client’s consent, the withdrawal “will have no material adverse effect on Mr. Biden’s interests.” Attorneys Abbe David Lowell and Bartholomew J. Dalton will continue to represent Mr. Biden.

On Sept. 14, a three-count indictment of Mr. Biden was unsealed. He was charged with illegally possessing a firearm while he was a drug addict, and lying on the application form that asked whether he was a user of drugs. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

Smith and Wesson Ditches Blue Massachusetts, Moves HQ to Friendlier Tennessee

In a move that will surely make my colleagues Jeff Charles and Ward Clark happy, renowned firearms manufacturer Smith & Wesson ditched deep blue Massachusetts and moved its headquarters to friendlier pastures in Tennessee. Although the move was announced in 2021, it was on Saturday that the company officially opened its new 650,000-square feet building in Marysville as part of a $125 million relocation effort.

Tax Evasion Crackdown: IRS Bolstering Resources for Scrutinizing Partnerships, High-Income Earners

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is ramping up efforts—with new hires, improved technological capabilities and a new division—to target business entities and private citizens and hold them “accountable” to the agency.

On Sept. 15, the IRS announced over 3,700 employee positions available for tax enforcement work focusing on high-income earners, complex partnerships and large corporations spread over 250 locations nationwide.

The agents will be hired for “specialized technical positions that generally focus on audits” with an average pay of almost $125,000 and total compensation, including benefits, of approximately $175,000. In total, 3,700 employees will cost the American taxpayer nearly $650 million in the first year, which is not an issue as agency coffers are brimming from a recent congressionally-mandated infusion of $60 billion in new funding. New funds have enabled the IRS to hire close to 90,000 staffers, a decade-high for the tax agency.

RECALL WARNING:

Costco Recalls Ham Due to Possible Listeria Contamination

Costco is voluntarily recalling ham sold in Northern California and Western Nevada because of a possible listeria contamination.

In its recent announcement, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) named the Kirkland Signature Applewood Smoked Master Carve Half Ham Boneless With Natural Juices as potentially dangerous, Fox Business reported Friday.

FDA Notice: Blood Pressure Drugs Recalled After Powerful Opioid Found

A drug manufacturer said it is initiating a recall of its blood pressure medication due to the presence of the synthetic opioid oxycodone, according to a notice published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week.

KVK-Tech said it is recalling one lot of 10-milligram betaxolol tablets, which were distributed around the United States to retailers and wholesalers, the notice said.

The batch is being recalled as a precaution because a single oxycodone tablet was found on the packaging line during the line clearance when the batch was packaged. The company said it has not received reports of a “foreign tablet” in a bottle of betaxolol.

Planned Parenthood is Helping Teenagers Transition After a 30 Minute Consult. Parents and Doctors are Sounding the Alarm.

The abortion provider is wading into transgender care, doling out prescriptions for estrogen and testosterone, including to special needs kids.

In late July, while his parents were out of town and after he had come of age, Fred went to Planned Parenthood, which prescribes hormones to any legal adult without a letter from a therapist or a formal diagnosis of gender dysphoria. The only requirement is a brief consultation, usually with a nurse practitioner, about the drugs’ effects, which range from mood swings and male pattern baldness to permanent infertility.

How brief? Fred arrived at his local clinic, on North Fullerton Ave. in Montclair, New Jersey, at around 11:00 a.m., according to phone tracking data his parents used to monitor his whereabouts. By 11:39, they received a text message from CVS: Fred’s estrogen prescription was on its way. Instead of a months-long evaluation by expert psychiatrists, a nurse practitioner had, in little over 30 minutes, prescribed their special-needs son a powerful drug without their knowledge or consent.

“It’s criminal what Planned Parenthoods all over the country are doing,” Fred’s mother, a New Jersey pediatrician, said. “And most people have no idea this is happening.”

Fred’s story—corroborated through nursing and medical board complaints, locational data, prescriptions, text messages, emails, and other documents reviewed by the Free Beacon—is a microcosm of how the nation’s largest abortion provider is eroding the already thin guardrails on gender medicine in America. As waitlists swell at clinics like Children’s National, and as concern mounts about the perils of rushed transition, many young people are using Planned Parenthood to skip the line and circumvent the safeguards, making it much more difficult to gatekeep what was once a tightly regulated treatment.

That dynamic has sparked criticism of the organization from an unlikely source: the liberal psychologist who helped bring pediatric gender medicine to the United States.

“I have always been a very strong supporter of Planned Parenthood and am pro-choice,” said Laura Edwards-Leeper, who co-founded the nation’s first pediatric gender clinic, at Boston Children’s Hospital, in 2007. “But they have taken on something that they are not equipped to handle.” The lack of gatekeeping is so bad, she added, that some of her patients received hormones from Planned Parenthood before coming to her for an assessment.

What Do People Think About When They Go to Sleep?

Thinking pleasant thoughts and mindful meditation are two ways to bring rest to a busy sleep-time mind.

How You Think in Bed Affects How You Sleep

It turns out people who sleep well and those who sleep poorly have different kinds of thoughts before bed.

Good sleepers report experiencing mostly visual sensory images as they drift to sleep—seeing people and objects, and having dream-like experiences.

They may have less ordered thoughts and more hallucinatory experiences, such as imagining they’re participating in events in the real world.

For people with insomnia, pre-sleep thoughts tend to be less visual and more focused on planning and problem-solving. These thoughts are also generally more unpleasant and less random than those of good sleepers.

For a good night’s sleep you may also want to consider an all natural sleep support  like HERBAL ZZZS (60 CT)

Do You Know What’s In A Vaccine?

Addendum to the Childhood Vaccination Series

Over the last few decades, the number of chemicals added to foods and other products has skyrocketed. Chemicals are added to “enhance flavor”, make fruits and vegetables look fresh, extend the shelf life of packaged foods and for other invented reasons. A cornucopia of chemicals are also found in lotions and beauty products with the ostensible reason that these chemicals make beauty products feel, look, and smell nice.

Along with this increase in heavily processed foods has come increased skepticism about the necessity of inserting chemical additives into everything we touch and taste. A significant and growing segment of the US population are beginning to examine the health consequences of ingesting and absorbing these chemical-laden products.

This growing awareness about the adverse effects of ingesting and absorbing synthetic ingredients and the public’s understanding of the attendant health benefits of consuming products free from synthetic chemicals has prompted consumers to seek out organic ingredient-based items in their foods and skin lotions.

More people are showing interest in knowing about the ingredients in their food and striving to ‘eat clean.’ This increased awareness is evidenced in the steady growth of the organic food industry and trends in the natural and organic cosmetic industry where demand is higher than ever.

This same level of concern has begun to seep into the public conscience regarding a certain medical product that has mostly avoided scrutiny – the vaccine.

Having been trained to accept that this product is a customary aspect of everyday life, most people haven’t given much thought to what’s inside the vaccine vials. Rarely will the vaccine ritual in the doctor’s office include a discussion about the ingredients which are about to be injected into the patient’s body. It’s highly likely the physicians and nurses themselves don’t know the ingredients of each vaccine.

So what’s in that vial? What’s coming through that needle?

Permeable Blood-Brain Barrier May Cause Delirium After Surgery

A new study demonstrates that patients who develop postoperative delirium have increased openings in the blood-brain barrier.

Up to 40 percent of older surgery patients develop postoperative delirium, a syndrome of confusion that typically occurs in the first few days after surgery. Postoperative delirium is associated with longer hospitalizations, significant distress, and major postoperative complications, but its underlying causes have been elusive.

Previous studies in mice revealed that postoperative delirium may be due to disruptions of the blood-brain barrier, a layer of cells in the brain’s blood vessels that prevent substances from entering the brain. Large human studies in this area had not been possible due to technical challenges in assessing the barrier.

The new study, published in Annals of Neurology, overcomes those limitations. It also shows that patients who had lower performance on cognitive tests prior to surgery were more likely to experience postoperative delirium.

10 Worst Breakfast Foods For Blood Sugar

Why Breakfast Matters for Blood Sugar

Breakfast plays a crucial role in managing blood sugar levels, as it helps kickstart our metabolism for the day. Skipping this meal can lead to fluctuations in blood glucose levels, making it harder to control throughout the day.

That’s why making smart breakfast choices is key, especially for those with diabetes or pre-diabetes conditions. Choosing foods low in sugars and carbohydrates while high in fiber and protein can help maintain steady blood sugar levels and avoid sudden spikes caused by unhealthy options.

Impact of breakfast on blood sugar

Eating breakfast sets the tone for your blood glucose levels for the day. Consuming a meal high in sugar and lacking fiber in the morning leads to elevated blood sugar, particularly harmful for diabetics.

Skipping breakfast entirely contributes to even higher blood sugar throughout the day. Timing your meals correctly is crucial as it can influence the likelihood of developing diabetes.

A balanced, nutritious breakfast provides stable blood sugar regulation while supplying continuous energy all day long, making it an essential part of diabetes management and overall health.

The 10 Worst Breakfast Foods for Blood Sugar

  • Bagel and cream cheese

The bagel, typically made from refined wheat flour, is high in carbohydrates which quickly break down into sugars, causing an immediate spike in blood sugar levels. To compound this problem, most varieties of spreadable cheese contain added sugars that further increase these levels

  • Store-bought muffins

Store-bought muffins are high in refined ingredients, making them less than ideal for blood sugar control. They often contain large amounts of sugar and refined vegetable oils, contributing to an unhealthy breakfast choice.

Even options like bran or oat muffins might seem healthier but can still have a negative impact due to hidden sugars and processed elements.

  • Sausages

Sausages, a typical breakfast staple, fall among the top ten worst foods for blood sugar. Loaded with vegetable oil, they pose significant health risks especially to diabetics.

  • Sugary cereals

Sugary cereals present a dangerous breakfast choice for individuals with diabetes due to their high sugar content and low protein levels. The sweetness makes them an appealing, crunchy option but behind the taste hides a threat: they are low-quality carbohydrates.

  • Sweetened yogurts

Sweetened yogurts often land on the list of worst breakfast foods for blood sugar. Most people think they’re opting for a healthier choice, but these non-fat versions can contain an astonishing amount of sugar – sometimes even more than ice cream! It’s not just the high sugar content that amplifies your blood glucose levels; sweetened yogurts also lack natural dairy fat which further exacerbates blood sugar spikes.

  • Sugary pastries

Sugary pastries, such as donuts and sweet rolls, rank high on the list of foods to avoid when managing blood sugar. Baked goods like these not only contain alarming amounts of refined sugar but are also full of low-quality carbohydrates due to their composition of refined wheat flour.

  • Freshly juiced fruits

Freshly juiced fruits may seem like a nutritious start to your day. However, they are actually high in sugar content and lack the necessary fiber to keep blood sugar levels steady.

The process of juice extraction removes beneficial fibers and concentrates fruit sugars into one sugary beverage.

  • Stack of pancakes

A stack of pancakes may seem like a delightful way to start your day, but for those managing blood sugar levels, it’s high on the list of worst breakfast foods. Pancakes are packed with refined carbohydrates that can cause a rapid surge in your blood sugar.

  • Fruit smoothies

Fruit smoothies may seem like a healthy breakfast option, but they can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar levels. These tasty drinks often contain multiple servings of fruit, resulting in high sugar content.  The excess sugar not only disrupts blood sugar balance, making them unsuitable for those with diabetes, but it also triggers increased hunger and sluggishness later in the day. Despite their natural ingredients and delicious taste, fruit smoothies rank among the worst breakfast foods for maintaining stable blood sugar levels due to these potential impacts on your health.

  • Breakfast bars

Breakfast bars, known for their convenience and portability, often lack the nutrition necessary to satisfy hunger in a healthy manner. Many are filled with refined flours and sugars that can sharply spike blood sugar levels and then plunge them into a crash.

Despite their seemingly health-positive image, granola bars fall under this category due to their high sugar content. The types of sugar they contain have adverse effects on both blood sugar and insulin levels.

Microplastics detected in clouds hanging atop two Japanese mountains

Findings regarding clouds above Mount Fuji and Mount Oyama highlight how microplastics are highly mobile

Microplastics have been found everywhere from the oceans’ depths to the Antarctic ice, and now new research has detected it in an alarming new location – clouds hanging atop two Japanese mountains.

The clouds around Japan’s Mount Fuji and Mount Oyama contain concerning levels of the tiny plastic bits, and highlight how the pollution can be spread long distances, contaminating the planet’s crops and water via “plastic rainfall”.

The plastic was so concentrated in the samples researchers collected that it is thought to be causing clouds to form while giving off greenhouse gasses.

“If the issue of ‘plastic air pollution’ is not addressed proactively, climate change and ecological risks may become a reality, causing irreversible and serious environmental damage in the future,” the study’s lead author, Hiroshi Okochi, a professor at Waseda University, said in a statement.

Technocrats In The European Union Quietly Roll Out Identity Wallet

s 2023 continues, the European Commission appears busy developing and running pilots for its EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI), which it intends to make available to all EU citizens in the near future. But while the European Commission (EC) boasts the prospective EUDI’s convenience, security, and wide range of prospective use cases in daily life, what’s less discussed is the tool’s potential for a bevy of ethical and surveillance-related issues.

What is the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI)?

The EU Digital Wallet, often referred to as the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI), is slated to be offered to the European public in the years ahead. According to the European Commission, “EU Digital Identity Wallets are personal digital wallets allowing citizens to digitally identify themselves, store and manage identity data and official documents in electronic format. These may include a driving licence, medical prescriptions or education qualifications.”

As legislation streamlining their slated use across Europe is finalized, the European Commission is advancing its efforts to roll out EUDIs amongst the general European public, where over 250 private corporations and public authorities are participating in four large-scale pilot projects. At the time of writing, the EU has invested €46 million into these pilots.

Indeed, a wide range of use cases are already being tested in the EUDI pilot projects. These include using the wallets to access government services, register, and activate SIM cards for mobile network services, sign contracts, facilitate travel, and present educational credentials. All together, these use cases suggest the Digital Identity Wallets’ prospective utilization across a wide range of services essential to daily life.

The latest installment of Global Alert News

“US weather warning: America to plunge into two week arctic freeze”, this new headline is exactly what the climate engineers want in order to distract populations from what is actually unfolding around the world. Chemical ice nucleation cloud seeding operations are a primary component of climate engineering operations, weather and temperature whiplash is the result. In the Western US the exact opposite scenario is unfolding, “snow to record heat, wild weather swings to jolt west”. Rutgers University scientists have now acknowledged that “blocking the sun may kill our crops”, though this scenario has long since been reality. Is the crushing of crops just a consequence of climate engineering? Or an objective? The consistency with which agricultural regions are being targeted leaves little doubt as to the answer. Water temperatures in the Amazon River have hit 102 degrees while September 2023 is officially declared “the most anomalously hot month ever” by Scientific American. Where do we go from here?

Foreign Firm to Begin Offshore Wind Farm Construction at NJ State Park as Public Support Collapses

The Danish company Ørsted is scheduled to begin construction of its controversial Ocean Wind 1 offshore power complex next week at Island Beach State Park, one of New Jersey’s most popular family beach destinations, as surveys show a dramatic decline in support for “green” offshore wind projects statewide.

A poll published this week by Stockton University found that about half of New Jersey residents support offshore wind development. In 2019, that number was 80 percent. Active opposition to offshore wind development more than doubled from 15 percent in 2019 to 33 percent.

Supreme Court Temporarily Reinstates Biden Admin’s ‘Ghost Gun’ Rule

The Supreme Court on Oct. 6 stayed a lower court order blocking the Biden administration’s rule regulating so-called ghost guns that can be assembled at home, allowing the policy to remain in force until Oct. 16.

The new order from Justice Samuel Alito came late in the day on Oct. 6 in an emergency application, in a case known as Garland v. Blackhawk Manufacturing Group Inc. (court file 23A302). U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland filed the application on behalf of the Biden administration.

The lower court order is now administratively stayed until 5 p.m. on Oct. 16.

New Mexico renews ‘public health emergency’ on guns

New Mexico officials Friday renewed an order declaring gun violence a “public health emergency” and mandating several anti-gun measures.

According to the public health order signed by New Mexico Health Secretary Patrick Allen, “gun violence and substance abuse currently constitute statewide public health emergencies.” Noting that the Health Department possesses “inherent constitutional police powers . . . to preserve and promote public health and safety,” the order prohibits civilians from carrying firearms near public parks and playgrounds in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.

Other anti-gun measures in the order include monthly inspections of licensed firearms dealers across the state and the implementation of gun buyback programs in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, and Espanola.

New Mexico’s Public Health Emergency Response Act extends “special powers” to the governor and allows for the isolation and quarantining of taxpayers.

Some Embalmers Say White, Fibrous Clots Showing Up; Others Say It’s a Conspiracy Theory

Some embalmers around the world say they’re observing previously unseen clots in bodies, and others are denouncing that as “nonsense.”

Embalming a body involves replacing the blood with chemical solutions to preserve it and slow decomposition.

Some embalmers say that starting in 2021, they suddenly began seeing an “anomaly” during that process—a phenomenon of long, rubbery, white masses inside the blood vessels.

Others say they have seen nothing new.

The Epoch Times contacted embalmers and funeral directors from around the world to understand the disparity.

An Oklahoma mortician responded, saying, “Yes, the embalmers at this funeral location have all encountered this phenomenon, each multiple times during embalming in the last two years.” A funeral director in Pennsylvania told The Epoch Times: “We’ve seen this stuff—absolutely. We’ve seen it enough to discuss it within the company.”

The mortician said his company thought the white, fibrous clots were just an anomaly.

“What do I attribute it to? I don’t know. I’ve never seen anything like it previously,” he said.

“As far as numbers, it’s hard to say. When we first started noticing it in 2021, it was like, ‘Oh, wow, I wonder if their cholesterol was off the charts.’

On the other hand, many of the respondents to The Epoch Times’ survey said that not only had they not seen the fibrous masses in the bodies they embalmed, but they considered the reports from other embalmers and funeral directors to be “nonsense.”

Psychosis, Panic Attacks, Hallucinations: Bizarre Psychiatric Cases Among the COVID Vaccinated

Beginning in late 2020 with the COVID vaccine rollout, some doctors have seen an increase in unusual psychiatric illnesses.

Dr. Patrick William Slater is a 60-year-old neurotologist. A few years ago, he had a full-time medical practice in Austin and enjoyed hunting and fishing in the mountains during his downtime.

Then, in October 2021, Dr. Slater came down with cerebellar ataxia, a disease affecting movement. He couldn’t eat or go to the bathroom without help.

While his ataxia could be managed using drugs, it wasn’t always effective against his biggest complaint: unprecedented panic attacks.

Almost every night, Dr. Slater would experience panic attacks that left him in “abject terror.” He thought about killing himself many times, he told The Epoch Times.

No one could provide a satisfactory answer about why he had developed these symptoms. Nothing abnormal showed up on his laboratory reports, and his neurologists and psychiatrists dismissed his symptoms as anxiety.

But Dr. Slater is convinced that the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are the culprit.

COVID Reinfections Clear Faster, Including in Unvaccinated People: Study

The researchers also found that people who cleared infections quickly the first time also cleared them quickly the second time.

COVID-19 reinfections cleared faster than initial infections, including among people who never received a COVID-19 vaccine, according to a new study.

People infected with COVID-19 a second time cleared the illness in a mean of 6.6 days, compared with a mean of 9.3 days for the initial infection, U.S. and British researchers reported in the paper.

Researchers drew the findings from 1,796 first infections and 193 second infections.

Social Media: Fueling the Epidemic of Teenage Depression

The rising prevalence of depression among adolescents has mental health experts searching for answers.

Scrolling, tapping, and swiping. It feels never-ending.

For most American teens today, platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are like black holes they can’t pull away from—with the average teen spending over five hours a day online. But the price of connection may be their mental health.

Researchers are starting to uncover startling links between social media use and depression. Each additional hour spent on social media sites is associated with more depressive symptoms.

Former Surgeon General Defends ‘Mr. Pfizer’ Travis Kelce, Calls Aaron Rodgers’ Health Choices ‘Dubious’

In response to New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers calling Travis Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” last week, former U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams on Friday defended the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end’s choice to vaccinate and claimed Rodgers has a “history of promoting dubious health measures.”

“Player A: Takes unregulated psychedelics, out for season,” Adams said in a now-deleted post on X. “Player B: Takes FDA approves vaccine, dominant on field, team winning, dating T Swift I’m no football expert any more than Aaron Rodgers is a doctor, but seems player B is ‘winning’,’ no?”

Protect Your Pet From One of the Worst Veterinary Mistakes

Be on guard – too many veterinary practices still make this careless mistake that can have potentially devastating results for your pet, including long-term side effects. If your veterinarian suggests this, here’s how you should respond and request before doing anything else.

Antibiotics continue to be overprescribed in too many veterinary practices, and the results are potentially devastating.

Today’s dogs and cats are exposed to antibiotics not just through veterinary prescriptions, but also through the factory farmed meat used in almost all commercial pet food.

Antibiotic resistance is creating superbugs able to survive multiple types of antibiotics; the end result can be strains of potentially deadly bacteria for which no effective treatment exists.

Except in emergency situations, antibiotics should never be prescribed without a culture and sensitivity test to determine the bacterial strain and the most effective antibiotic.

If your pet needs an antibiotic, give it exactly as prescribed and also give a probiotic supplement to replenish healthy gut bacteria.
