Today’s News: September 01, 2023

Today’s Top 5:

1.Exclusive—Maui Resident: More Than 450 Bodies Allegedly Recovered from Wildfire and ‘Lot of Kids’ Still Missing

Maui search crews have allegedly found over 450 bodies, according to a local resident who is leading a grassroots relief effort to aid victims of the fire that decimated the town of Lahaina earlier this month.

“I guarantee you right now, from what has been seen, the number is over 450 and it’s gonna get — it’s gonna get closer to 1,000,” Maui resident Dale Hermo-Fernandez, who has close contacts inside local recovery efforts, said in a recent exclusive interview with Breitbart News.

2.Americans ‘Deserve Answers’: House Republicans Launch Probe into Maui Fire Response

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Tuesday announced that his committee will be investigating the federal government’s response to the wildfires in Maui that were the deadliest in the nation’s history in over a century.

“The response by federal, state, and local officials to the catastrophic wildfire in Maui raises serious questions and Americans, especially those impacted by this tragedy, deserve answers,” said Comer in a statement obtained by Breitbart News.

3.New York AG Seeks Immediate Partial Judgment, No Trial, in $250 Million Fraud Lawsuit Against Trump

New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking an immediate partial summary judgment in her multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, court documents show.

Documents dated Aug. 30 show that Ms. James urged Judge Arthur Engoron to issue a summary judgment on one of seven claims in her 200-page civil lawsuit filed against President Trump, The Trump Organization, and three of his adult children in 2022, alleging “years of financial fraud to obtain a host of economic benefits.”

In her lawsuit, Ms. James claimed that over a 10-year period, from 2011 through 2021, President Trump and the other defendants had “engaged in numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation in the preparation of Mr. Trump’s annual statements of financial condition,” which included deceiving insurers, tax officials, and lenders by allegedly inflating the value of his properties, including his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

4.Report: Raffensperger Testimony Supports Trump Defense in Georgia Case

Testimony this week in federal court by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger reportedly contradicted claims that former President Donald Trump insisted he violate his oath of office by fabricating enough votes to win the state.

As Breitbart News has long noted, the media have misrepresented the January 2021 phone call between Trump and Raffensperger, quoting Trump as telling Raffensperger that he should “find” the votes necessary for him to win. In fact, Trump said “I just want to find” the votes, referring to his own state of mind. Moreover, the context was that Trump believed he actually had won the state of Georgia, and the votes simply had not been properly counted yet.

5.Proud Boys Leader Jailed for 17 years Over U.S. Capitol Attack

A leader of the Proud Boys militia who called for a “war” to keep Donald Trump as president was sentenced to 17 years in prison Thursday, one of the longest sentences yet over the 2021 attack on the US Capitol.

Prosecutors said Joe Biggs was a key figure in a “seditious conspiracy” to forcibly overturn Joe Biden’s election victory, leading Trump supporters in the January 6 military-style assault.

China’s Coal Power Binge Accelerates: over 300 More Plants on the Way

China’s mad dash for coal power continues, even as Western governments tell their citizens to make more sacrifices for “climate change.”

A report from two energy research groups on Tuesday found China has over 300 more coal power plants in the works, issuing permits for another 52 gigawatts of coal power in just the first half of 2023 alone.

Brits Boil Over ‘Net Zero’: Millions Told Not To Heat Homes At Night To Meet Government Goals

Britain’s Climate Change Committee (CCC) has urged millions of Britons to not heat their homes in the evening to help the government hit its net zero target.

No, they aren’t urging elites to ditch their private jets for commercial, or not to burn 1,000 of fuel taking the yacht out for a jaunt. Chris Stark, head of the CCC, wants ordinary citizens to turn off their electric heaters (heat pumps) at night as part of a wider drive to deliver “emissions savings,” which includes a shift away from gas boilers – which Chris, a hypocrite, still has.

Contained in a document on “behavior change,” the CCC recommended that Britons instead “pre-heat” their houses in the afternoons when electricity use is lower, and would theoretically save families money.

“There is significant potential to deliver emissions savings, just by changing the way we use our homes,” reads the CCC’s sixth “carbon budget” paper, which lays out how the UK should reduce its emissions between 2033-37.

Ukraine Loses One of Its Closest Allies as UK Defence Secretary Wallace Resigns

Grant Shapps, one of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak´s staunchest Cabinet allies, was named U.K. defense secretary on Thursday as Sunak began a Cabinet reshuffle ahead of a general election that is expected to take place next year.

The move came after Ben Wallace formally submitted his resignation earlier in the day, honoring a promise made last month. Wallace was defense secretary for four years, overseeing Britain´s military response to the war in Ukraine.

Japan to Hit Record Defense Spending: $53 Billion Sought for More Missiles, Ships

Japan’s defence ministry on Thursday announced it will seek a record $53 billion budget for the next fiscal year on the back of regional tensions driven by an increasingly assertive China and unpredictable North Korea.

The spending jump represents a 13 percent increase year-on-year, adding antimissile systems, more warships and boosting maintenance for a military that long skimped on basic functions.

Hurricane Idalia’s aftermath: Florida rushes to restore power and clear debris

The center of the storm has moved off the North Carolina coast and out over the Atlantic Ocean, but strong winds and coastal storm surge are likely to continue to impact the Carolinas throughout the day, according to an 11:00 a.m. ET advisory from the National Hurricane Center.

Forecasters described the risk of storm surge as potentially “life-threatening.”

A supermoon that peaked Wednesday night is expected to exacerbate the range of coastal tides, bringing an added layer of danger. Residents of the Carolinas have also been warned of the risk for tornadoes.

North and South Carolina remain under an emergency declaration as of mid-day Thursday.

“We’re hoping for the best and preparing for the worst,” North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said on Wednesday. “We expect winds, rain and flooding to continue to impact our state even into Saturday.”

Hurricane Idalia clean-up begins after ‘heartbreaking’ destruction in south-eastern US

Residents across the south-eastern US were beginning the clean-up from Hurricane Idalia on Thursday as Joe Biden signed a major disaster declaration for Florida and the weakened but still powerful tropical storm dumped torrents of rain in North Carolina and Virginia.

The worst of the devastation was evident along Florida’s Gulf coast, where Idalia tore ashore on Wednesday as a category 3 hurricane with gusts of 160mph and sent a surge of seawater of up to 16ft far inland through vulnerable low-lying communities.

Victory: Court Discourages Constitutional Mischief by the Government, Holds DMV Fiscally Accountable for Constitutional Violations

In a 7-4 en banc ruling in Stinnie v. Holcomb, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has agreed that the government should not be able to sidestep accountability and avoid paying plaintiffs’ attorneys’ fees when it has violated the Constitution.

Stinnie v. Holcomb challenged a state law that penalizes drivers for failing to pay court fines and costs which often have nothing to do with road safety or driving infractions. Because the Commonwealth of Virginia enacted legislation blocking the DMV from suspending licenses over outstanding fines and fees before the case could be fully resolved in court, the DMV insisted it could not be required to pay the plaintiffs’ attorneys for their time working on the case. However, a legal coalition including The Rutherford Institute warned that allowing the DMV to avoid fiscal accountability would encourage further constitutional mischief by the government. The Fourth Circuit agreed, acknowledging that failing to hold the government fiscally accountable could give rise to a scenario in which government defendants attempt “to game the system” in seeking to outlast a poor plaintiff’s financial resources.

Georgia Officials Didn’t Follow Ethical, Legal Rules in Trump Indictment

A judge in Fulton County, Georgia, failed to properly follow the precedent set by the state Supreme Court in allowing the county’s top prosecutor to go forward with a grand jury investigation of former President Donald Trump after disquaifying the prosecutor from part of the probe for misbehavior.

In a legal analysis Aug. 15 in The Daily Signal, I pointed out the problems with the spurious indictment of Trump and 18 codefendants orchestrated by Fani Wills, the politically ambitious district attorney in Fulton County.

This combination of factors has resulted in an unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and the structure of the American legal system.

Georgia Governor Rejects Special Session to Remove Fulton DA Willis Over Election Interference

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Aug. 31 rejected a plea from state Republicans to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis after former President Donald Trump’s indictment for alleged election interference.

The Republican governor, who has sometimes been at odds with President Trump, stated that he wouldn’t hold a special legislative session to oust Ms. Willis. The governor said an attempt to impeach Ms. Willis isn’t feasible and “may ultimately prove to be unconstitutional.”

“We have a law in the state of Georgia that clearly outlines the legal steps that can be taken if constituents believe their local prosecutors are violating their oath by engaging in unethical or illegal behavior,” Mr. Kemp said on Aug. 31. “As long as I am governor, we’re going to follow the law and the Constitution, regardless of who it helps or harms politically.”

Home-Mortgage Lending Revives Across U.S. In The Second Quarter Of 2023

ATTOM, a leading curator of land, property, and real estate data, today released its second-quarter 2023 U.S. Residential Property Mortgage Origination Report, which shows that the total number of mortgages secured by residential property (1 to 4 units) in the United States increased to 1.56 million during the second quarter of 2023. While that remained down 38 percent from a year earlier, it was up 21 percent from the first quarter of 2023 – the first such increase in two years.

Federal Reserve’s Key Inflation Measure Jumps; Incomes Slow

The Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation indicator climbed, marking the second consecutive inflationary measure to increase in the past month and revealing that the fight against inflation isn’t over. CBDC: Inclusion of the ‘Unbanked’ or Illusion?

Imagine that … using the CBDC to attack and control the shadow economy …

Advocates of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) often claim that CBDCs will help increase financial inclusion, by which they typically mean that CBDCs will help to “bank the unbanked.” To give some typical examples:

Too many Americans don’t have access to easy payments systems and banking accounts, and I think this is something that a digital dollar, a central bank digital currency, could help with. – Janet Yellen (2021)

A well‐designed CBDC is uniquely positioned to address barriers to inclusion, including by offering the unbanked alternative pathways to open transactional accounts and participate in the digital economy … – Henry Fingerhut et al. (2022)

CBDC could strengthen the usability, resilience, and efficiency of payment systems and increase financial inclusion. – Bo Li (2023)

However, such claims are weak.

The two lawmakers requested the assessment in February 2022.

GARDENING, FARMING & HOMESTEADING

Got a weed problem?

Homesteader’s Guide to Chinese Geese

Chinese geese are known to be active foragers and are sometimes called “weeder geese” for this talent. If you have a pond, they can help keep algae under control. They’re also known for their swan-like appearance due to their long graceful necks, as they are descendants of the Asian wild Swan Goose.

With appropriate care, they can lay more than twice the amount of eggs that other geese will from spring to autumn. They can be vocal watchdogs, although they have no natural means of protection, so should not be counted on as guardians. Extra males can be harvested for meat. Geese can add a lot of value to your homestead.

Expert Tips on Planting a Fall Garden

Sure, summer steals the limelight with its bounty of juicy tomatoes and crisp cukes, but believe it or not, fall is ideal for growing certain types of crops, including healthy leafy greens and hearty root vegetables. And big bonus: The cooler weather means fewer bugs and weeds to pester plants, plus it’s simply more comfortable for you (i.e., less sweaty!) to putter in the garden once the dog days are officially over.

Whether you’ve spent the last few months diligently tending a veggie patch or were too busy to even begin, this advice will help you get an autumn garden going. Go ahead and sow some fall-friendly seeds now, and you may be harvesting as early as homecoming and perhaps still picking by the holidays.

All About Freezing Vegetables

In regions with a short growing season, the desire to savor the summer’s produce into the winter is obvious. Given that frost graces our lands for nearly half the year, freezing as a means of preservation seems a fitting choice. Freezing vegetables is perhaps the simplest method to extend their shelf life. For those living off-grid, an outdoor chest freezer can be left unplugged during winter, conserving energy.

A significant advantage of freezing is its flexibility. As produce ripens, simply add to your chest freezer bag by bag. For optimal results, freeze vegetables at their peak ripeness. Let’s dive into all about freezing vegetables.

IBS May Be An Early Warning Sign Of This Brain Disorder, Research Suggests

There is constantly new research linking suboptimal gut health to many conditions, from eczema to anxiety and more. Most recently, a study suggests irritable bowl syndrome (IBS) may be an early warning sign of Parkinson’s disease—a neurological condition with no known cure. To come, what researchers found and what this means for early Parkinson’s detection.

A new study found that many GI symptoms such as trouble swallowing and constipation increased the risk of Parkinson’s disease. This doesn’t mean everyone with IBS will get Parkinson’s, but it does serve as a potential early warning sign and thus something to pay attention to when it arises. In the meantime, take care of your

If you struggle with gut health complications, it’s important to get help as soon as possible—not only for your own comfort and well-being but because GI symptoms may be a sign of something else going on in the body.

Also, prioritize tending to your gut at home—starting with your diet.

You may consider looking into gut-supporting supplements such as probiotics, too.

Remember that while research is ongoing, taking good care of your gut is certainly never a bad idea.

YouTube offers ‘re-education’ for rule breakers

‘Most creators are good and they actually want to comply with our policies’

YouTube announced Tuesday it will begin offering re-education to content creators who violate the company’s policies and will grant clemency to those who complete the course.

Until this week, YouTube creators who break the rules have been subject to the company’s “three strikes” policy in which they receive a warning before each strike and are booted off the platform after three strikes.

But the video streaming giant is now offering creators who receive a warning a chance to redeem themselves by taking re-education courses in which they will be taught how to better comply with YouTube’s rules. Those who take the classes and remain compliant for the next ninety days will not receive a strike on their record.

“Starting today, creators will have the option of taking an educational training course when they receive a Community Guidelines warning,” YouTube wrote in a blog post Tuesday. “These resources will provide new ways for creators to understand how they can avoid uploading content that violates our policies in the future. Completion of the course will lift the warning from a creator’s channel — so long as they don’t violate the same policy for 90 days.”

The company says most content creators upload content to the platform “in good faith” and believes “educational efforts are successful at reducing the number of creators who unintentionally violate our policies.”

Autumn Safety Tips For Pets

There’s nothing like the crisp, cool air and luscious foliage to get you excited for the changing seasons. Your pet, too, is probably welcoming a break from summer’s hot, sticky weather. But fall is also a time of lurking dangers for our furry friends. From household poisons to cold weather hazards, there are important safety issues to consider.

Below are some tips to keep your pet happy and healthy during the autumn months.

Be Cautious of Rodenticides and Cold Weather Poisons
The use of rat and mouse poisons increase in the fall as rodents seek shelter from the cooler temperatures by attempting to move indoors. Rodenticides are highly toxic to pets and, if ingested, the results could be fatal. If you must use these products, please do so with extreme caution and put them in places inaccessible to your pets.

Many people choose fall as the time to change their car’s engine coolant. Ethylene glycol-based coolants are highly toxic, so spills should be cleaned up immediately. Consider switching to propylene glycol-based coolants—though they aren’t completely nontoxic, they are much less toxic than other engine coolants.

Keep School Supplies Out of Paws’ Reach
Fall is back-to-school time, and those of you with young children know that means stocking up on items like glue sticks, pencils and magic markers. Although these items are considered low toxicity to pets, gastrointestinal upset and blockages can occur if ingested. Be sure your children keep their school supplies out of your pet’s reach.

Steer Clear of Mushrooms
Fall and spring are mushroom seasons. While 99% of mushrooms have little or no toxicity, the 1% that are highly toxic can cause life-threatening problems in pets. Since most toxic mushrooms are difficult to distinguish from nontoxic ones, the best way to prevent pets from ingesting these poisonous plants is to keep them away from areas where any mushrooms are growing. Please visit our Poisonous Plants page for more information. Contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 immediately if you witness your pet eating a wild mushroom.

Watch Out for Wildlife
Autumn is the season when snakes are preparing for hibernation, increasing the possibility of bites to those unlucky pets who find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Pet parents should know what kinds of venomous snakes may be lurking in their environment—and where those snakes are most likely to be found—so pets can be kept out of those areas.

Are You Unknowingly Feeding Your Pet Carcinogens?

This research scientist made an alarming discovery – he detected carcinogens through hair analysis on his own dogs. Knowing he didn’t feed his pets grilled steaks or burgers, he set out to discover why. What he found out will alarm you about what you’re very likely feeding your own dog or cat.

Dr. Turesky and his research partners are very interested in a class of chemicals called heterocyclic aromatic amines that form in well-done cooked meats, poultry and other protein-based products and their potential role in human cancer.

Dr. Robert Turesky, a research scientist who tested for and discovered cooked meat carcinogens in his dogs’ fur, and went on to publish his findings in a scientific journal

Dr. Turesky’s dogs were on a poultry-based kibble diet, and he concluded that both dry and poultry-based pet foods are a problem — especially since many pets are eating this type of diet twice a day, every day of their lives

How to Support Your Pet’s First Line of Defense

Want a back-door approach to help keep your pet healthy and protected from foreign invaders? Many pet parents don’t realize the power in this strategy that reaches a whopping 70% of their pet’s immune system.

If you’re a pet parent, you probably know how important your dog’s immune system is to her overall health. But did you know that around 70% of her immune system resides in her gut? That means the healthier your dog’s gut microbiome, the healthier she’ll be overall, because it’s her immune system that defends her against disease.

There are many causes of low- or malfunctioning immune systems in dogs today, but most fall into the category of age- or lifestyle-related stressors, or naturally occurring stressors.

Some stressors are unavoidable, and each plays a role in compromising the ability of your dog’s immune system to defend her body against foreign invaders. This results in increased susceptibility to infections, autoimmune disorders, and diseases, including cancer.

Given that your dog’s immune system will be affected by various forms of stress throughout her life, and since most of her immune system resides in her gastrointestinal (GI) tract, it’s easy to see why the health of her gut microbiome is so crucial to her general well-being.

When your dog’s gut microbiome is healthy, it means there’s an optimal balance of good-to-bad bacteria present. When an imbalance occurs that allows an overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria, problems often develop in the GI tract first, followed eventually by other health conditions resulting from the inability of the immune system to function optimally.

The gut microbiome can be influenced by several factors — everything from emotional stress to an unhealthy lifestyle. Research has demonstrated these factors can negatively impact a pet’s microbiome:

  • Sudden change in diet creating GI upset
  • Vaccinations
  • Ultraprocessed diets, and lack of dietary diversity
  • Surgery and prescription medication (including non-steroidal anti-inflammatories
  • Pica (eating non-food items such as feces, sticks, rocks, etc.)
  • GI disease (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease)
  • Drinking contaminated water or water treated with fluoride and chlorine
  • Flea, tick, and heartworm chemical preventives
  • Ingestion of fertilizers, insecticides, or pesticide residues in pet food or the environment
  • Emotional stress (often caused by a change in routine or environment, such as travel or boarding)

When physical or emotional stress upsets the bacterial balance in your dog’s digestive tract, it can trigger a cascade of nutritional problems, including poor nutrient absorption and intermittent or chronic diarrhea.

It also opens the door to leaky gut syndrome (dysbiosis) in which partially digested amino acids and allergens escape from the GI tract and enter the bloodstream. This in turn can create a host of other health problems, from allergies to autoimmune disease.

Some Dogs Benefit From Probiotic Supplementation

Ideally, your pet’s microbiome should be healthfully maintained by feeding a wide variety of minimally processed foods containing an abundance of prebiotic fibers. Animals were meant to have a wide variety of nutritional diversity from many different food sources, which in turn creates microbiome diversity.

Pets eating the same, highly processed “fast food” day after day, month after month, are at high risk of ongoing gut issues. Rotating brands of foods, proteins and types of foods is the best way to diversify your pet’s microbiota. Using fresh food treats and toppers is another easy way to help build gut health.

Using a probiotic supplement may be of benefit.

Because your dog’s gut microbiome must maintain a healthy level of good bacteria to support the immune system — and because dogs today deal with a variety of stressors throughout their lives — in my experience, if your pet is lacking a wide variety of different foods in their diet, it’s a good idea to supplement their regular meal with beneficial bacteria (probiotics).

IN-DEPTH: Woman Says Her Daughter Was Sex Trafficked After School Hid Gender Transition

A woman has filed a lawsuit against a Virginia school district alleging its clandestine support of her daughter’s decision to change her gender identity resulted in her being threatened, bullied, and ultimately trafficked by sexual predators.

Michele Blair, biological grandmother and adoptive mother of 16-year-old Sage Blair, alleges in the lawsuit (pdf) filed in August that staff at the Appomattox County High School directed Sage—who has a history of mental health issues and early childhood trauma—to change her name and pronouns and to use the boys’ bathroom, all the while keeping it a secret from Mrs. Blair.

While attending school identifying as a boy named “Draco,” Sage faced abuse from the other students because of the actions of the staff to transition her, Mrs. Blair told The Epoch Times.

Police: South Carolina Woman Caught Trafficking Enough Fentanyl to Kill 500K People

Police say a 25-year-old South Carolina woman was caught with hundreds of grams of drugs that included fentanyl and methamphetamine in her vehicle.

Woman goes to huge lengths to adopt husband’s ex-wife’s baby to save him from foster care

She had lived in foster care and didn’t want it for the newborn with no name.

Christie and Wesley Werts have taken the idea of a blended family to the next level. When the couple fell in love five years ago and married, they brought together her children, Megan and Vance, and his children, Austin and Dakota.

As of January, the Ohio family has five children after adopting young Levi, 2. Levi is the son of Wesley’s ex-wife, who passed away four days after the child was born. The ex-wife had the boy prematurely, at 33 weeks, and died soon after from drug addiction and complications of COVID-19.

When Levi was born, he was a ward of the state with no first name or birth certificate.

“When I heard about Levi, without hesitation, I said we should take him,” Christie said, according to The Daily Mail, and her reason went far beyond the fact that the child was the half-brother to two of her recently adopted children. “I myself was a foster kid and, although for the most part, I had a great experience, I did not want him going to foster care,” Christie said.

Before the family knew of Levi’s birth, Christie had a recurring dream about a blue-eyed, blonde-haired boy.

“Before Levi, we had wanted to try to have a child of our own,” she told Newsweek. “I’m in my forties, so we knew that we would probably need fertility treatment, so I thought let’s just think about it and what will be will be.”

The problem was that Levi was in Texas, so the family sold their house and moved to the Lone Star State to go through the arduous adoption process. The situation was further complicated because Levi’s biological father had parental rights even though he had substance abuse problems. The family couldn’t move out of Texas until his rights were legally terminated.

But after a 16-month process, in January 2023, Levi became a legal family member. Christie understands that adopting her husband’s ex-wife’s baby may seem unusual to some people. “It’s a lot to process for a lot of people, but honestly, it seems a lot crazier than it was. At the time, it just made sense,” she said.

Oncologist shares how studying 5,000+ near-death experiences convinced him of an afterlife

“There isn’t even a remotely plausible physical explanation for this phenomenon.”

What happens when we die? What, if anything, comes next? When our body goes kaput, is that it? Are we done? Or is there another part of us—a consciousness, a spirit, a soul—that lives on in some other form or plane of existence?

These are questions that humans have asked since time immemorial, and no one knows the answers for sure. We may have spiritual or philosophical or religious beliefs about life after death, but they are just that—beliefs. Scientifically speaking, we can’t prove what happens to our inner self when we die.

But that hasn’t stopped one doctor from studying the closest phenomenon we have to death itself—the near-death experience.

Near-death experiences, or NDEs, occur when a person’s heart stops beating, they are considered clinically dead, and then they are revived. What the person sees, hears and experiences in that near-death space has been a fascination for Dr. Jeffrey Long since he first read about them over three decades ago as an oncologist resident. Intrigued but skeptical, Long decided to study near-death experiences with the mind of a scientist—a study that has led him to believe in an afterlife based on “overwhelming evidence.”

Long, now a radiation oncologist, founded the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation, where he and his wife collect and evaluate people’s NDEs. They currently have the world’s largest database of publicly available NDE cases and he shared some insights he’s gained in studying over 5,000 cases in an as-told-to essay in Insider.

Long explained that while no two NDEs are the same, he noted “a consistent pattern of events emerging in a predictable order.” Nearly half of people with an NDE report having an “out of body” experience in which their consciousness separates from their body. (This is the classic image of someone seeing themselves in a hospital bed as if hovering above it.) In some of these instances, people describe things they should not have been able to see in their comatose or clinically dead state.

Long also described how some people have been able to describe things that happened away from where their bodies were during a NDE, with witnesses confirming what they say they saw.

“I’m a medical doctor. I’ve read brain research and considered every possible explanation for NDEs. The bottom line is that none of them hold water. There isn’t even a remotely plausible physical explanation for this phenomenon,” he said.

Long’s study of NDEs has led him to believe “certainly” that there is some kind of an afterlife. In fact, he even wrote a book called “Evidence of the Afterlife: The Science of Near-Death Experiences,” which became a New York Times Bestseller.

We heard from one of our listeners yesterday that Massena, NY was one of the relocation communities … well, politically, it goes downhill from there for democratic politicians!

Biden Targets Six Communities to Dump New York City’s Migrants

The list of sites was sent to state officials, and promptly leaked to Bloomberg, which reported:

President Joe Biden’s deputies have targeted six poor communities in New York and New Jersey as locations to resettle the foreign migrants now overflowing government-funded shelters in New York City.

The list of sites was sent to state officials, and promptly leaked to Bloomberg, which reported:

Most of the sites are outside of the city, including Stewart International Airport, a small Hudson Valley facility frequently used by private jet owners. The Atlantic City location is even in another state, New Jersey.

One recommended site, Massena International Airport, is 365 miles (588 kilometers) from the city, in remote St. Lawrence County on New York’s Canadian border. It serves as a US Customs port of entry from Canada.

There are two sites in Schenectady, one near Bear Mountain State Park, one near Newburgh; and one site in New Jersey at Atlantic City Airport.

“The burden put on our citizens would be overwhelming and the effect on the school system, roads and resources to accommodate them would be devastating,” responded Laura Pfrommer, the Republican Mayor of Egg Harbor Township in New Jersey. She added:

The humanitarian crisis created by the federal government is not appropriately dealing with the issues of immigration has unfairly resulted in small communities having to bear the brunt of this inaction … We strongly urge the federal government to actually deal with the situation at the border and not shift the responsibility to communities.

The list names also five sites in New York City, including Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, which has been approved by New York officials.
