Today’s Top 5:

1.Federal Agency Forces Bank of America to Pay $100 Million to Customers

Bank of America will have to pay more than $100 million to customers for doubling up on some fees, withholding reward bonuses, and opening accounts without customer consent, said a federal agency in a statement Tuesday.

Separately, Bank of America will have to pay some $90 million in penalties to its organization and $60 million in penalties to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) said.

One of the most commonly used banks in the United States, North Carolina-based Bank of America serves some 68 million people and small business clients and had $2.4 trillion in consolidated assets and $1.9 trillion in domestic deposits as of March 31. It’s the second-largest bank in the country after JPMorgan Chase.

2.WATCH: Texas Begins Construction of Historic Floating Border Barrier

Construction crews began deployment of the historic floating border barrier near Eagle Pass, Texas, on Monday. The project is expected to provide a strong deterrent to illegal border crossings in high-traffic areas along the Rio Grande.

Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez tweeted videos showing construction crews beginning the installation of a series of floating buoys near Eagle Pass on Monday. The buoys are being deployed under orders from Governor Greg Abbott with funds authorized by the Texas Legislature.

3.Republicans Aim to Block Funding for FBI’s HQ, Suggest Bureau Leave D.C. for Alabama

House Judiciary Committee Republicans are entering the contentious fight between Virginia and Maryland over the site of the next FBI headquarters by suggesting the bureau instead relocate to Alabama.

The committee submitted Tuesday a lengthy list obtained by Breitbart News of recommended funding provisions, known as riders, to House Appropriations Committee chairwoman Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) that included a stipulation that no FBI funding be used toward a new headquarters.

4.Joe Biden’s Migrants Take Jobs, Americans Lose Jobs

Federal data show a two-month rise in unemployment among black Americans due to the Biden administration’s deliberate transfer of compliant and cheap migrant workers into Americans’ workplaces.

“Black workers saw their unemployment rate rise to 6% in June from 5.6% in May, making it the second consecutive monthly increase,” CNBC.com reported on July 7. For men “within that demographic, unemployment … grew to 5.9% in June, up from 5.6% in May.”

Government-backed migration allows employers to hire young, healthy, cheap, grateful, and hard-working people in place of unwanted American employees, such as former convicts, older and unhealthy Americans, or workers they deem to be lazy or resentful. In many cases, those replaced U.S. workers may be black — and federal data now show that black Americans are seeing a notable rise in unemployment.

NATO welcomes Sweden, but Ukraine’s frustration grows

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy expressed impatience at the absence of a clear timeline for Ukraine’s entry to NATO. The tension was eased by Turkey withdrawing objections to Sweden’s accession, a decision praised by President Joe Biden.

NATO Looks to ‘Israel Style’ Relationship With Ukraine, Rejecting Full Membership… For Now

NATO will make binding commitments to Ukraine modelled on its relationship with Israel but won’t commit to admitting it as a member until Russia has been defeated, it is claimed.

Leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) are meeting in Vilnius for the alliance’s annual summit today, and one of the major topics for discussion — beyond the apparent imminent admission of longtime European neutral Sweden, after Turkey appeared to drop its objections — is Ukrainian accession.

China promises ‘robust response’ to any NATO expansion in Asia

Beijing rejects NATO concern over its ‘stated ambitions’, criticises presence of Australia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea at summit.

Gates, WHO, CDC See Peel & Stick Vaccine Patches Mailed Directly To Peoples’ Homes

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the World Health Organization and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are among those organizations pushing a new vaccine technology that uses patches instead of needles to maximize the reach of vaccines to “the most remote locations.”

A new vaccine technology using patches instead of needles is being described as “groundbreaking,” a “game changer” and having the potential to “transform immunisation coverage in lower-income countries.”

Backed by global players including the World Health Organization (WHO) Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others, vaccine-containing microarray patches (VMAP) — also known as “micro-array patches” or “microneedle patches,” have been the subject of dozens of scientific papers in recent years.

The claimed benefits of such “vaccine patches” — for everything from measles and rubella (MR) vaccines to various mRNA vaccines — are being widely promoted even though few clinical trials have been completed and no such vaccine has yet been approved by regulators.

Scientific and medical experts who spoke with The Defender raised questions about the technology and warned of potential dangers.

Climate Alarmists Fret over Too Many African, Indian Babies on ‘World Population Day’

The United Nations marked World Population Day on Tuesday, publishing a forecast that the Earth’s population will hit 9.7 billion by the year 2050 and surpass 10 billion before the end of the century.

India CEO criticised for picking AI bot over human staff

An Indian CEO is being criticised after he said that his firm had replaced 90% of its support staff with an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot.

Suumit Shah, founder of Dukaan, said on Twitter that the chatbot had drastically improved first response and resolution time of customers’ queries.

The tweet sparked outrage online.

It comes at a time when there has been a lot of conversation and apprehension about AI taking away people’s jobs, specially in the services industry.

In a series of tweets, which have over one million views, Mr Shah wrote about his firm’s decision to use a chatbot. He said that though laying off staff had been a “tough” decision, it was “necessary”.

“Given the state of economy, start-ups are prioritising ‘profitability’ over striving to become ‘unicorns’, and so are we,” he wrote. Mr Shah added that customer support had been a struggle for the firm for a long time and that he was looking to fix this.

He also wrote about how they built the bot and the AI platform in a short span of time so that all of Dukaan’s customers could have their own AI assistant. He said that the bot was answering all kinds of queries with speed and accuracy.

“In the age of instant gratification, launching a business is not a distant dream anymore,” he wrote. “With the right idea, the right team, anyone can turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.”

Mr Shah also added that the firm was hiring for multiple roles.

House Republicans Call for Defunding Mayorkas’s Salary Over Border Crisis

House Republicans are contemplating legislation that would eliminate Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s salary in response to mistrust over the failure to enforce the U.S. southern border.

Republican legislators are now insisting that Mr. Mayorkas’s salary be part of the impending government funding dispute.

Among those Republicans is Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), who said in a July 11 statement, confirmed by her office to The Epoch Times, that the House’s majority party was ready for Biden administration cabinet members to “do their jobs.”

Harper, known for his roles on “The Good Doctor” and “How It Really Happened,” is running as a Democrat and will join a primary field that includes Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), who announced her candidacy in February and is considered a frontrunner.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Speaker Dade Phelan Reach Historical $18 Billion Property Tax Cut Deal

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dade Phelan on Monday announced they reached a deal on a historic $18 billion tax-relief plan for Texas property owners.

The deal ends a monthlong stalemate that turned into a public battle between the state’s top GOP leaders over property taxes.

Mr. Patrick’s stance was focused on a plan that combined the compression of schools’ M&O taxes and increasing the state’s homestead exemption.

“I started working to reduce property taxes at a Capitol hearing in 2003, [four] years before I was elected to the Texas Senate. It has been a long road, but it has been a great day for all property owners. Speaker Phelan and I worked diligently over the last week on the final bill. It made the difference,” Mr. Patrick said in a joint statement. “It may have taken overtime, but the process has produced a great bill for homeowners and businesses.”

Georgia Democrat Rep. Switches Parties: Democrats ‘Crucified Me’ and Abuse the Black Community

A Georgia Democrat state representative announced that she is switching parties after her leftist colleagues “crucified” her when she chose to support school choice, adding that the Democrat Party has “gotten away with using and abusing the black community.”

State Rep. Mesha Mainor, who represents District 56 in the Peach State, announced on Tuesday that she is officially switching her party registration from Democrat to Republican following a tumultuous relationship with her colleagues.

“…today I made the decision to leave the Democrat Party. I represent a blue district in the city of Atlanta so this wasn’t a political decision for me. It was a MORAL one,” she said in a social media post.

“I will NEVER apologize for being a black woman with a mind of my own,” she added.

Veteran-Owned ‘Clean Beef’ Beef Company Says It Would Rather Shut Down Than Accept mRNA Injections In Cattle

Jason Nelson, president and CEO of Whole Cows based in Waco, Texas, makes no beef about there being a global war against the cattle industry.

“I would say there is a war not only against beef, there is a war against Americans being healthy,” he said.

As a physically disabled and highly decorated combat veteran who served in two branches of the U.S. military, Mr. Nelson sees the war is being waged by globalists in the name of fighting climate change.

He said the goal of getting people to eat lab-grown beef and insects instead of red meat to reduce the carbon footprint is no longer within the realm of conspiracy theory.

Dr. Google Will See You Now: Internet Giant Tests Medical AI at Mayo Clinic

Google is reportedly testing a medical AI chatbot that is designed to expertly answer medical questions. The system is reportedly being tested by the Mayo Clinic. The Masters of the Universe getting involved in healthcare is deeply concerning for Americans that care about their privacy and medical freedom.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Google’s Med-PaLM 2 is planning to release a medical chatbot technology that has been trained using questions and answers from medical licensing exams. Is Zuckerberg’s Threads Already Threadbare?

As a “Twitter killer”, Threads is already a dismal failure described as “utter banality in text form.” The feed is cluttered with nonsense posts from Instagram and censorship is rampant, if not totally dystopian. As a result, many early converts are already moving back to Twitter. Meta may make money from Threads, but it is not a substitute for Twitter, nor will it kill it.

It should be noted, however, that the Threads app will suck private data from your smartphone.

Hospital nurses, doctors ready to walk amid alarming burnout rates: study

Physical violence. Sexual harassment. Verbal abuse. Indifferent management. Long hours on graveyard shifts. And a chance that you’ll catch a deadly illness.

If that sounds like an ideal job, consider working in a hospital.

A new survey finds that hospital doctors and nurses — including those at institutions ranked among the best in the nation — are suffering from job burnout at alarming rates.

Nearly half of all nurses (47%) reported burnout, and 40% of nurses would leave their jobs if it was possible, according to the survey, published in JAMA Health Forum.

Doctors don’t fare much better: 32% reported feeling burnout, and 23% of hospital doctors would quit if possible.

What Causes Eye Floaters and Are They Dangerous?

Floaters are small black dots, squiggly lines or cobwebs inside your eyes that float across your vision. They are a nuisance, but when they appear quickly in combination with flashes — light flashes like lightning or a camera flash — it requires immediate medical attention

The tiny specks move as your eye moves, so as you look at them, they seem to float away. They are more obvious when looking at a light background and develop when the vitreous fluid in the back of the eye loosens from the retina, causing collagen strands to stick together and casting a shadow over the retina

Nearsighted people have a higher risk of developing floaters, and excessive screen time can increase the risk of nearsightedness. Eye fatigue can be alleviated following the 20-20-20 rule — after 20 minutes of screen time, look away for 20 seconds at something 20 feet away

Lutein can help prevent nearsightedness and melatonin helps protect eye health, including playing a role in preventing glaucoma and cataracts. Other nutrients important to eye health include water, vitamins A, C, E, lutein, zeaxanthin and omega-3

U.S. DOD issued contract for ‘COVID-19 Research’ in Ukraine in 2019

The world first started to hear about a novel coronavirus in early January 2020, with reports of an alleged new pneumonia like illness spreading across Wuhan, China. However, the world did not actually know of Covid-19 until February 2020, because it was not until the 11th of that month that the World Health Organisation officially named the novel coronavirus disease as Covid-19.

So with this being the official truth, why does United States Government data show that the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) awarded a contract on the 12th November 2019 to Labyrinth Global Health INC. for ‘COVID-19 Research’, at least one month before the alleged emergence of the novel coronavirus, and three months before it was officially dubbed Covid-19?

The shocking findings however, do not end there. The contract awarded in November 2019 for ‘COVID-19 Research’ was not only instructed to take place in Ukraine, it was in fact part of a much larger contract for a ‘Biological threat reduction program in Ukraine’.

Perhaps explaining why Labyrinth Global Health has been collaborating with Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance, and Ernest Wolfe’s Metabiota since its formation in 2017.

Media Continue to Lie About Gene Therapy Jab

Since mRNA shots contain several novel technologies, they should be subject to more controls than conventional vaccines. Yet they aren’t. In fact, they’re not covered by any specific regulations

mRNA COVID shots are gene therapy, but not regulated as such. By slapping a fraudulent “vaccine” label on gene therapies, they are being developed outside of the regulatory framework that governs them

An alternative framework that could regulate mRNA shots would be Type1A pro-drug regulations, but they’re not being regulated as such either

Per the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s definition, gene therapy covers two modes of operation. It either alters the biological properties of living cells, and/or modifies your genes. This means that even if the product does not modify your genes, it’s still a gene therapy if it modifies the properties of cells, which is what the COVID shots do

Data show 1 in 3 Pfizer COVID shots administered in Denmark were placebo — and regulators must have known about it
