China’s Tech Presents ‘Huge Threat’ to Freedom: UK Intelligence Chief

The chief of Britain’s signals intelligence agency will accuse China of using economic and technological means to crush dissent at home and force compliance abroad, according to transcripts of a speech released ahead of schedule.

Beijing’s communist leadership is driven by fear and poses “a huge threat to us all,” according to extracts of a speech set to be delivered by Jeremy Fleming, director of the United Kingdom’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).

GCHQ is one of Britain’s three main intelligence agencies, alongside MI5 and MI6.

According to the extracts, Fleming will tell a meeting of the Royal United Services Institute think tank that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which rules China as a single-party state, seeks to “shape the global tech ecosystem” through the manipulation of digital currencies and predatory use of satellite systems.

“They seek to secure their advantage through scale and through control,” Fleming will say.

“This means they see opportunities to control the Chinese people rather than looking for ways to support and unleash their citizens’ potential. They see nations as either potential adversaries or potential client states, to be threatened, bribed, or coerced.”

UAE President Meets with Vladimir Putin After OPEC’s Massive Production Cut

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg to discuss “friendly relations” and “common interests.”

One of those common interests was the massive production cut announced last week by the “plus” grouping of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC+), which includes Russia. Two months after President Joe Biden pleaded with OPEC leader Saudi Arabia to increase oil production and bring down prices at the gas pump, the cartel announced one of the biggest reductions in its history, slashing production by over a million barrels per day.

Pandemic- and Communism-Battered Hong Kong to Offer 500,000 Free Plane Tickets for Tourists

The Chinese-controlled government of Hong Kong announced last week that it will give away 500,000 free airline tickets worth HK$2 billion ($254.8 million) to tourists and business travelers next year as part of a plan to revitalize the nation’s ravaged tourism industry after two years of fierce Chinese coronavirus travel restrictions.

The tickets were previously pre-purchased in April 2020 as part of a relief package by Hong Kong’s Airport Authority to airlines and aviation support services at the start of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

“Back in 2020, Airport Authority Hong Kong purchased around 500,000 air tickets in advance from the territory’s home-based airlines as part of a relief package to support the aviation industry,” a spokesperson of Hong Kong’s Airport Authority told CNN on October 06. “The purchase serves the purpose of injecting liquidity into the airlines upfront, while the tickets will be given away to global visitors and Hong Kong residents in the market recovery campaign.”

Is President Biden Intentionally Trying To Start WWIII?

The global geo-political landscape has deteriorated dramatically during the Biden Administration and the question must be asked: Is Biden intentionally trying to start WWIII? If so, it would continue the scorched earth policy of all those who want to “build back better” after the Great Reset.

Non-woke political scientists have already figured out that the Biden Administration suckered Russia into invading Ukraine. If the late Zbigniew Brzezinski were alive today, this is exactly what he would have done. Brzezinski was the Trilateral Commission co-founder that originally suckered the USSR into Afghanistan; this wound up being their equivalent of Vietnam, with a huge cost in lives, armaments and resolve.

It bothers me that Brzezinski’s son Mark, also a member of the Trilateral Commission, is the current Ambassador to Poland. As nuclear rhetoric and alarmism abound, Poland’s President just asked to have US nuclear weapons based in its territory. That’s another poke in the eye of the Russian bear, egging it on to a more desperate fight. What role did Ambassador Mark Brzezinski have on this request? Brzezinski reports to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is also a member of the Trilateral Commission. What role did Blinken play?

The messaging coming out of Biden’s own mouth seems oddly coordinated with Russia/Ukraine/Poland: “We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis.” Armageddon? At a time when the world should do everything in its power to de-escalate the threat of nuclear war, just the opposite is happening. Even war-hawk John Bolton, former National Security Advisor under Trump, called for an outright regime change in Russia – not just throwing Putin out, but the entire government system.

Major US Airport Websites Taken Offline

The websites of airports in Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as well as those of other airports, were taken offline on Oct. 10 as officials blamed Russian hackers for the disruption.

“We noticed this morning that the external website was down, and our IT and security people are in the process of investigating,” Andrew Gobeil, a spokesman for Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, told The Associated Press. “There has been no impact on operations.”

The Chicago Department of Aviation said in a statement that the O’Hare and Midway airport websites went offline on Oct. 10. No operations or flights were affected.

“Early Monday, FlyChicago.com and related websites for O’Hare and Midway international airports went offline,” the statement reads. “City of Chicago IT staff are currently working to restore the website’s functionality. The City’s Information Security Office at the Department of Assets, Information & Services is investigating the cause of the outage.”

Parts of the Los Angeles International Airport website were also disrupted, spokeswoman Victoria Spilabotte told media outlets on Oct. 10.

“No internal airport systems were compromised and there were no operational disruptions,” she said.

Trump Says the Biden Administration Must Confront China Over US Fentanyl Crisis

Former President Donald Trump says it is imperative that the Biden administration confronts China now over the U.S. fentanyl crisis.

“Must immediately meet with China on Fentanyl, and what they are doing in pouring it into the U.S. It is ripping our Country apart,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account on Oct. 6.

Trump estimated the U.S. death rate caused by fentanyl to be around 250,000 people a year. While official reports have indicated the rate to be increasing, the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported that death involving fentanyl rose 23 percent to 71,238 in 2021. The CDC estimated that a total of 107,622 drug overdose deaths last year.

This crisis “CANNOT CONTINUE,” Trump added.

Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans aged between 18 and 45, surpassing suicide, car accidents, and COVID-19, according to a December 2021 report from the U.S. advocacy group Families Against Fentanyl.

Most states in the United States are seeing a surge in fentanyl deaths. According to the group’s report published in February, fentanyl fatalities doubled in 30 states, tripled in 15 states, and nearly five times in six states, in the last two years. Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, California, and Texas are the six states seeing a nearly five-fold increase in fentanyl deaths.

Supreme Court Backs Republican in Pennsylvania Mail-In Ballots Case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday vacated an appeals court decision that required Pennsylvania to count mail-in ballots even if there is no date on the envelope.

“The judgment is vacated, and the case is remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit with instructions to dismiss the case as moot,” wrote Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson (pdf), siding with David Ritter, an unsuccessful Republican candidate for a judgeship.

They also threw out a U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling that allowed the counting of mail-in ballots in the race that Ritter had sought to remove because voters did not write the date on the ballots. Ritter lost his 2021 bid to serve on the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas after 257 mail-in ballots that didn’t have dates were counted.

Pennsylvania Republican legislators and conservatives filed amicus briefs saying the 3rd Circuit’s ruling threatened the integrity of the 2022 midterm elections.

But the Supreme Court’s action on Tuesday means that the 3rd Circuit ruling cannot be used as a precedent in the three states covered by this regional federal appellate court—Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware—to allow the counting of ballots with minor flaws such as the voter failing to fill in the date. Vacating the ruling does not change Ritter’s loss in his race.

Election Integrity a Key Issue in Secretary of State Races

At a rally with former President Donald Trump last weekend, Nevada Republican Secretary of State nominee Jim Marchant encouraged an enthusiastic MAGA crowd to cast their vote for him on Nov. 8 and added his belief about the 2020 election.

“We have something in common,” said Marchant, a businessman and former Nevada State Assembly member. “President Trump and I lost an election in 2020 because of a rigged election.”

He also pledged to ensure election integrity in Nevada and help secure a Trump victory in 2024 if he runs for president.

“When I’m Secretary of State of Nevada, we are going to fix it. And when my coalition of secretary of state candidates around the country get elected, we’re going to fix the whole country, and President Trump is going to be president again in 2024,” Marchant said.

Until the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Secretary of State races took a back seat to higher-profile offices. Now, with midterms less than a month away, both parties are prioritizing those races, especially in states with Trump-endorsed candidates.

Marchant, who holds a lead in multiple polls over Democratic opponent Cisco Aguilar, formed the America First Secretary of State Coalition, which consists of more than a dozen Republican candidates for secretary of state and other offices that have an impact on elections.

Among the states the coalition is targeting are Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Biden won all four states in 2020. Each state has drawn election integrity controversy.

“If we get all of our secretaries of state elected around the country like this, we take our country back,” Marchant said at the rally.

DOJ Asks Supreme Court to Reject Trump Request in FBI Classified Documents Case

The Justice Department (DOJ) asked the Supreme Court Tuesday to reject former President Donald Trump’s bid to have the court intervene in a dispute over documents seized from his Mar-a-Lago resort two months ago.

The 45th president last week filed an emergency request asking the high court to lift an appeals court decision preventing a special master from reviewing 100 documents that were allegedly marked classified. Those documents were among some 11,000 records that FBI agents seized on Aug. 8.

While urging the Supreme Court to reject Trump’s petition, DOJ officials wrote (pdf) the former president “certainly cannot establish the clear error required to justify the relief he seeks—particularly because he does not acknowledge, much less attempt to rebut, the court of appeals’ conclusion that the district court’s order was a serious and unwarranted intrusion on the Executive Branch’s authority.”

On Aug. 22, Trump filed a petition to restrict the DOJ’s access to the records as it pursues an investigation into whether he retained classified documents after departing the White House in January 2021. A federal judge in Florida sided with Trump’s attorneys and appointed a special master, retired Judge Raymond Deare, to review the documents.

His lawyers previously told the Supreme Court that Dearie should be able to look into the records to see whether the FBI-seized materials “bearing classification markings are in fact classified, and regardless of classification, whether those records are personal records or presidential records.”

Further, they wrote that the DOJ is trying “to criminalize a document management dispute and now vehemently objects to a transparent process that provides much-needed oversight,” his lawyers added.

White House, Pentagon Officials Traded Chinese Stocks While Mulling Blacklist: Report

High-ranking Pentagon and White House officials traded in Chinese stocks even as their offices were tasked with considering the companies for blacklisting, according to a new report.

More than 2,600 government employees owned or traded stocks whose prices would rise or fall depending on their actions, according to a new investigative report by The Wall Street Journal, which analyzed 31,000 financial disclosure forms from 12,000 senior government employees and political staffers.

Of those 2,600 federal officials, more than 400 owned or traded in Chinese stocks, including in the Department of Defense, Department of State, and White House, the Oct. 11 report said.

“The Defense Department was among the federal agencies with the most officials who invested in Chinese stocks, even as the Pentagon in recent years has shifted its focus to countering China,” the report said.

The report also found that, from 2016 through 2021, more than 25 percent of government employees at the Department of the Treasury, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Defense, Internal Revenue Service, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Federal Reserve traded in stocks of firms that were actively lobbying their agency.

Notably, officials in the Pentagon, State Department, and White House were found to have traded in numerous Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Baidu, and the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, also known as Sinopec.

Sinopec is owned by the China Petrochemical Corporation, which is overseen by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, a special commission of the Chinese Communist Party.

Woke & Jobless: Federal Judges Say They Won’t Hire Yale Law Clerks over Hysterical Anti-Free Speech Behavior

Fourteen federal judges say they will not hire law clerks who are graduates of Yale Law School due to the hysterical woke behavior that more than 400 students exhibited earlier this year in shutting down a free speech event featuring Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).

Judge Elizabeth Branch has become the 14th federal judge to refuse to hire law clerks from Yale over free speech concerns, according to a report by National Review.

Florida’s Rapid Recovery: Sanibel Causeway Damaged by Hurricane Ian to Reopen

The Sanibel Causeway, which was damaged by Hurricane Ian, will reopen to civilians this month and is already opened to emergency vehicles, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced on Tuesday.

The Sanibel Causeway, which connects Sanibel Island and Captiva to Florida’s mainland, collapsed and was damaged in three different areas due to the massive Category 4 storm, which hit Florida’s west coast before exiting on the east coast and making a second U.S. landfall.

FBI Officials Who Warned Facebook of ‘Russian Disinfo’ Before Hunter Laptop Bombshell Are Democrat Donors

Two FBI officials who had knowledge of the Hunter Biden laptop in 2020 and who alerted Facebook to potential Russian disinformation are Democrat donors, court filings and campaign finance records show.

The unit chief for the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force, Laura Dehmlow, and the head of the FBI’s San Francisco cyber division, Elvis Chan, were likely engaged in suppressing Facebook’s distribution of the story on the platform, the Washington Free Beacon reported from court filings.

The Roots Of ESG And How To Get Rid Of It

At this point, everyone knows about ESG, and everyone knows that companies and firms that embrace it are intent on pushing an environmental, social, and governance agenda, mostly on America. But the full story is very interesting and extremely disturbing.

Recently, I had the chance to hear Vivek Ramaswamy, the founder of Strive Asset Management, speak about ESG, how it came to be, how it functions, and how to combat it.

Ramaswamy said that the problems of ESG are not state or even national economic ones. They make up a transnational, trans-partisan battle for the heart and soul of democracy itself. It is not Democrats versus Republicans, Left versus Right, black versus white, or gay versus straight. Rather, the real issue at stake is democratic-republican self-governance versus monarchy. Ramaswamy said that it is not a 2022 question but a 1776 question. ESG, says Ramaswamy, is a secular religion that started when ideas such as identity and the ability to achieve in life based on race, gender, or sexual orientation rose to the fore.

According to Ramaswamy, there were two toxic ideologies of the 20th century—the first being German Nazism, and the second Soviet-style Marxism. Blend the identity politics of the first with the oppressor-oppressed philosophy of the second and you have planted the seeds of ESG. This, in turn, allows for the application of labels to those who question the new cultural norm. Those labels include, but of course are not limited to, “racist,” “misogynist,” “climate-denier,” and “bigot.” Once those labels are applied, all debate is silenced.

The current problem, said Ramaswamy, began with the 2008 financial crisis. Ramaswamy was working for a Wall Street investment firm. He said anger began to rise when banks received financial bailouts, causing people to begin to question modern American capitalism. It also served as a nursery of sorts to the Occupy Wall Street movement. This movement, running on the fumes of the old progressive ideology, demanded that money be taken from the rich and given to the poor. But the neo-progressive movement was just starting to come into its own, and this movement postulated that the real problem was not poverty or economic injustice but rather racial injustice, bigotry, misogyny, and climate change.

Republican States Withdraw Over $1 Billion From Blackrock Due To ESG Policies

Multiple U.S. states governed by Republicans are withdrawing state funds from BlackRock’s management, as they disapprove of the ESG investment policies of the world’s top asset manager, the Financial Times reports.

In recent weeks, Louisiana, South Carolina, Utah, and Arkansas have announced they would divest funds from BlackRock totaling more than $1 billion.

Last week, Louisiana State Treasurer John Schroder announced in a letter to BlackRock’s CEO Larry Fink that he would divest all Treasury funds from BlackRock. Louisiana has removed $560 million to date and will pull out a total of $794 million by year’s end, Schroder noted.

“This divestment is necessary to protect Louisiana from mandates BlackRock has called for that would cripple our critical energy sector,” said Schroder. “I refuse to spend a penny of Treasury funds with a company that will take food off tables, money out of pockets and jobs away from hardworking Louisianans.”

South Carolina will pull $200 million from BlackRock by the end of the year, State Treasurer Curtis Loftis told FT in an interview.

For months now, Republican states have said they would not do business anymore with asset managers who have ESG-aligned investment policies, which, the states say, show that those financial firms are boycotting the oil and gas industry.

ICE Issues Smartphones to 255,602 Illegal Border-Crossers; Cost Is $89.5 Million a Year

U.S. Department of Homeland Security agencies issued more than 255,000 smartphones to illegal aliens during fiscal year 2022, according to data on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) website.

The phones are trackable and the individual is responsible for checking in with ICE on a regular basis, often by sending in a geo-tagged photo of themselves.

The cost for the 255,602 phones and their accompanying technology is $245,377 per day. Over a year, that’s $89.5 million.

The majority of the phones were issued to single adults.

ICE has failed to provide any data on the compliance rate of the smartphone program or on how many aliens have absconded from it, despite repeated requests by The Epoch Times.

ICE began issuing the smartphones within the past year as border stations became overwhelmed. Agents started processing illegal aliens under a newly created category called “Parole+ATD.” ATD is an “alternatives to detention” program, which acts as a workaround for the legal requirement to detain illegal aliens.

By law, parole is designed to be used on a “case-by-case basis” and for “urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit,” according to the Immigration and Nationality Act.

The status allows foreign nationals “who may not otherwise be admissible to the country under the immigration laws” to live and work in the United States temporarily “without being formally admitted to the country and without having a set pathway to a permanent immigration status,” according to a 2020 Congressional Research Service report.

Merck opts to develop, sell cancer vaccine with Moderna

Merck & Co Inc opted to jointly develop and potentially sell a personalized mRNA vaccine with Moderna Inc for a $250 million upfront payment on Wednesday, sending the vaccine maker’s shares up over 8%.

Moderna’s experimental vaccine is being tested in combination with Merck’s blockbuster cancer immunotherapy, Keytruda, in a mid-stage trial to treat patients with melanoma. Data on the vaccine, mRNA-4157, is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.

With the size of the COVID-19 vaccine market expected to contract in subsequent years from the levels seen in 2021, Moderna has been pinning its hopes on its non-COVID vaccines which includes influenza and respiratory syncytial virus shots.

The cancer vaccine is tailored for each patient to generate T-cells, a key part of the body’s immune response, based on the specific mutational signature of a tumor.

In 2016, Merck and Moderna entered a strategic partnership to develop a personalized vaccine for treatment of various types of cancer.

Merck in 2020 sold its equity investment in Moderna, benefiting from a surge in the vaccine-maker’s stock price that year.

Do I need a colonoscopy? New study on colon cancer screening effectiveness

Despite the findings of a large European study suggesting that the benefits of colonoscopies may not be as strong as thought, doctors in the U.S. say screening does detect colorectal cancer and saves lives.

The 10-year study, published Sunday in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that colonoscopies cut the risk of colon cancer by about a fifth, far below estimates from earlier scientific studies. What’s more, the procedure — usually performed with a long, flexible tube that is inserted up the rectum — didn’t help significantly reduce the risk of colon cancer deaths.

Doctors in the U.S. are concerned that the study’s results — based on more than 80,000 men and women ages 55 to 64 — could cause doubt about the effectiveness of colonoscopies, which are recommended for people in the U.S. every 10 years, starting at age 45.

“I fear that this is going to cause a lot of people to question whether they should get colon cancer screening,” said Dr. Otis Brawley, an oncologist at Johns Hopkins University and the former chief medical officer of the American Cancer Society.

Decades of research have shown that screening is very good at detecting colon cancer, said Brawley.

Solar energy firms struggle as demand goes through the roof

Solar panel firms in Scotland are struggling to deal with a surge in inquiries from businesses and households, as the energy crisis continues to bite.

Renew Green Energy boss Brian Middleton says his Tweedbank-based business has been “hectic” and “manic”, with inquiries flooding in.

“We have never seen anything like this before, just due to the whole energy crisis,” he explains.

“Consumers and businesses’ costs are going up through the roof.

“We used to be able to order and deliver a project within a week, now it is about three months for delivery of materials.

“There’s a bit of a panic and a rush to do something about their energy costs before they can’t do anything with it really.

“We have gone from five to 10 inquiries a week to it tripling. We are overwhelmed and we had to bring in extra staff just to cope with that.”

Lancet Commission Report: 6 Reasons COVID Response ‘A Massive Global Failure’

The Lancet COVID-19 Commission published an article on Sept. 14, 2022 about the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. As of May 31, 2022, 6.9 million deaths from COVID-19 were reported, but the estimated excess death toll is 17.2 million, based on data from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. The report states that “this staggering death toll is both a profound tragedy and a massive global failure at multiple levels.”

The Commission identified six major areas of failures, namely failures of prevention, failures of rationality, failures of transparency, failures to follow normal public health practice, failures of operational cooperation, and failures of international solidarity.

Due to these failures, social sustainability goals were set back a few years and 17.2 million lives were lost.

What can we learn from these failures? I’d like to share my thoughts based on the six failure reasons raised by Lancet.

Republicans Demand Agencies Terminate Grant Funding to EcoHealth

A group of Republican lawmakers has sent letters to the National Institute of Health (NIH) (pdf) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) (pdf) requesting them to halt federal funding to EcoHealth Alliance, an organization that provided finance to Wuhan Lab.

The bicameral effort led by Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.) came following September reports that nearly $3 million of federal funds had continued flowing into the New York-based nonprofit group, the largest sum the organization has received from the NIH in a single year.

NIH is under heavy scrutiny for its role in funneling public money to a key laboratory in China for bat coronavirus research that many believe may have caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lawmakers pointed to the failure of the group to provide information about the taxpayer-funded coronavirus research being conducted with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) as requested by NIH.

EcoHealth’s president, Peter Daszak, called the questioning “inappropriate” and “heinous,” the group noted.

“He also orchestrated an effort to taint the investigation into the origins of COVID-19, calling suggestions that there could have been a lab leak from the Wuhan Institute ‘conspiracy theories,’” the Oct. 7 letter further stated.

Pfizer Exec Concedes COVID-19 Vaccine Was Not Tested on Preventing Transmission Before Release

A Pfizer executive said Monday that neither she nor other Pfizer officials knew whether its COVID-19 vaccine would stop transmission before entering the market last year.

Member of the European Parliament, Rob Roos, asked during a session: “Was the Pfizer COVID vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market? Did we know about stopping immunization before it entered the market?”

Pfizer’s Janine Small, president of international developed markets, said in response: “No … You know, we had to … really move at the speed of science to know what is taking place in the market.”

Roos, of the Netherlands, argued in a Twitter video Monday that following Small’s comments to him, millions of people around the world were duped by pharmaceutical companies and governments.

“Millions of people worldwide felt forced to get vaccinated because of the myth that ‘you do it for others,’” Roos said. “Now, this turned out to be a cheap lie” and “should be exposed,” he added.

The Trail of Blood From the COVID Jabs

Abnormal blood clotting was one of the first mysterious health effects to emerge in the COVID pandemic, first, as an effect of the natural infection, and later, as a side effect of the COVID jabs. By mid-March 2021, 20 countries had suspended the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID shot, either in full or in part, following reports of deadly blood clots.

In December 2021, a team of international scientists detailed the mechanism behind the AstraZeneca jab’s propensity to trigger blood clots. The shell of the vector — a weakened chimpanzee cold virus — in some people acts like a magnet and attracts platelets. Your body mistakes these platelets as a threat and produces antibodies to fight them, resulting in dangerous blood clots.

Israeli researchers have also linked the Pfizer jab with a rare blood clotting disorder.

A Swedish study found two doses of the COVID jab were 43% protective against Omicron infection at week 4. By week 14, protection had dropped to zero. Effectiveness against COVID-related hospitalization remained around 80% until week 25, but dropped to 40% by week 40. Using one statistical analysis method, COVID jabbed Swedes had a higher risk of death or hospitalization from COVID roughly a year after receiving their second dose.

A recent case report links the COVID shots to lethal myocarditis (heart inflammation) and encephalitis (brain inflammation).

Report: More Millennials Going to Church Now than Before the Pandemic

More millennials are attending church now than before the Chinese coronavirus pandemic struck, a report from Christianity Today’s October issue found.

Churches all across the country famously closed down during much of the pandemic, creating tension in some communities that wanted to continue to meet regardless of local or state rules. But by now most Americans recognize that the pandemic is over. Even President Joe Biden made that admission last month.

There has been an uptick of Americans returning to normal activities, showing the fundamental desire of Americans to return to a state of pre-pandemic normalcy. A Rasmussen Reports survey released in April, for example, found that slightly more Americans planned on attending an Easter church service than did the year before

Former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard Leaving Party

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) announced on Oct. 11 that she’s leaving the Democrat Party.

In two videos, Gabbard said the move is driven in part by President Joe Biden and his administration not responding after activists started protesting outside the homes of Supreme Court justices before and after the court struck down Roe v. Wade.

Federal law prohibits protesting outside the homes of judges with the intent to influence them, which is what many of the protesters have said is their intent.

Gabbard compared that treatment with how the administration has been arresting pro-life activists for alleged violations of another law.

“When the party in power does not believe in the rule of law but they’re responsible for writing and enforcing laws, our democracy is doomed,” Gabbard said. “Today’s Democratic Party does not believe in our constitutionally protected right to free speech.”
